Episode description

Joan Little was an African American woman who was charged with first degree murder after she stabbed a prison guard who was sexually assaulting her. Joan's case exposed problems with the Jim Crow south's legal system along with a pattern of racially discriminatory practices. Her case attracted feminist activists and Black Panthers. Join us as we discuss Joan's case on Mountain Murders.
