So where does one begin when they want to explore their options with Jesus Christ? This is a great question and the answer for me begin with music. Not that I understood it or any theology, but nevertheless it was where my faith in Jesus all began.

Wearing a Big Black Robe on Sunday Morning, today I got excited sharing that there are 'NO SHORT CUTS'! There is plenty to learn from Jesus and His experience of 40 days and 40 nights. Lent represents that time period and this message is designed to be an encouragement for us to continue to press forward through all things, including temptation.
If you ask someone if they want to talk about Church or Christianity the answer is more than likely no! Why, because there are so many issues with the topic. So many questions and even for some problems. This message will provide only two answers to all the questions that could be asked and the two answers are good for all time.
My name is Rev. Will Zik, Lead Pastor of Encounter Community Church and I hijacked Tim's phone. He was invited to Owensboro for several weekend events. He will be live on @obcoffeetalk and @encounteroboro throughout the weekend. It's a great time of catching up since our time at St. George Island.
It has often said there are two sides to a coin and there are two ways at least of doing things. Jesus made the Pharisees mad in His day because what he said to do was the total opposite of what they had been teaching. This message is one that identifies how Jesus said we could win the world.
The words 'Law' & 'Commandments' can sometimes bring up the negative. This message touches on some tough discussions regarding social issues and scriptures that speaks about. Hear this message and learn what God's Words says.

When you feel down in the dumps, your sports record isn't what it should be and you want to quit don't! Speaking to the boys varsity team at Conner High School I share from my heart about the situation not 'sugar coating' the facts but laying out a challenge. This team stepped up and into the battle to WIN!! Not sure if it was the Boone County Hog recipe or my "Rebel Skin" poem but I am proud of these guys and their accomplishment.
Coach Erik Wesley Thomas invited me to come and speak with his 6th grade boys basketball team. After thinking about what to share I went with the connect between the children's book "Old Yeller" and Basketball. There are three things that if 6th graders learn today their lives will be guaranteed great successes in life & basketball.
At the beginning of the season I had the unique opportunity to speak to the student athletes at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School 8th grade team. It is not everyday I speak to 8th grade teams but I have know Coach Dan Flaig since his days of playing high school basketball. When your friendship goes back that far you step up to help a friend and his team when he calls. These girls accomplished a lot during the 2013-2014 basketball season. I am just excited and thankful to be a part of thei...
The writer John records that John the Baptist introduced Jesus as the ONE in John 1:29. The way we introduce someone reveals our confidence in them. John the Baptist said, "Behold the Lamb". Have you ever written down what God has done for you? Could be you are wondering what God even does, who He is or why you would want to have anything to do with Him. I get it. The first four disciples are identifed in this message in addition to several other messages that are tucked away for another day....
Do you know the name of the man that baptized Jesus? It is not really important that you do, but it is important to know what the baptism of Jesus meant. Have you heard about the 'Trinity' and wonder what that was all about? This message will explain who Matthew is, what John did and what the message of Jesus is all about. I do share somethings that I don't understand and I conclude the message with the most important thing I believe you should know through a song.
