Episode description

Kate Stapleton is a country girl who married her country sweetheart, Nathan. Nathan is a retired Cronulla Sharks player who earlier this year became a quadriplegic after a friendly came of rugby went horribly wrong.  Kate was 6 months pregnant with their second child at the time of Nathan's accident. He was wheeled in to be by her side in hospital as she laboured and gave birth to their little boy Angus. Kate has shared her family's story with media recently, but the focus has mostly been about the day their world came crashing down. But I wanted to get to know Kate herself, including her motherhood journey, life on the land, why she and Nathan packed up and moved to the middle of no where to manage a remote roadhouse a couple of years ago, and yes, what happened to Nathan, but now importantly, how they're moving forward... determined to defy doctor's advice, and move back to the land.
