Hi, Welcome to the gross room. Matthew Perry's autopsy report is finally available, and I'm going to break it down for you guys. Autopsy. An autopsy was performed in Los Angeles County at the Department of the Medical Examiner on October twenty ninth, twenty twenty three, at nine thirty am. The autopsy report is a whopping twenty nine pages, but I will break it down here. What was known about

Matthew Perry before the autopsy. Whenever an autopsy is done, we try to find out as much information as we can before we open the body. We know he was a fifty four year old man. He was obese, five foot eight and two hundred and sixteen pounds or eleven centimeters or ninety eight kilograms, which is a BMI of thirty one. He had a long history of smoking two packs of cigarette a day and had COPD andmphysima as

a result. He had a history of drug and alcohol abuse that resulted in multiple hospitalizations and n multiple abdominal surgeries. He was currently under the treatment for his opioid addiction as well as depression and anxiety. Although he had a history of depression, he did not have a history of suicidal ideations or past suicide attempts, the findings that autopsies should correlate with his medical history. Let's see if they did.
