Holiday Decorations and Traditions

Neal

I'm in New Jersey and Andrew, you're where?

Andrew

I'm on the other side of the moon. I am doing live reporting from here. Yeah. It's amazing. I have this pod that I'm in. I worked closely with Elon Musk, to make this happen and Jeff Bezos. They're here now. I could get you. Don't we? They're sleeping, though. Shh. Elon's asleep under the desk. That's where he likes to sleep. We have one desk we share. We all share the same desk.

Neal

Let's get started. Mostly true Ilium stories. Welcome back, everybody.

Andrew

Oh my gosh. Are we live?

Neal

We are live. Oh,

Andrew

this is exciting.

Neal

Yes. Did you, do you set up Christmas decorations?

Andrew

Oh, yeah. Yeah.

Neal

You do? And and did you take them down?

Andrew

Oh, yeah. We took them down, last weekend.

Neal

Ours have been up since, October? No. Thanksgiving.

Andrew

Yeah. We did our Thanksgiving weekend. Yeah.

Neal

You did? Okay.

Andrew

Actually, you know what? No. We did it We did it before Thanksgiving weekend. The weekend before Thanksgiving. We have Christmas up while we had Thanksgiving.

Neal

That's a new record. That's a long time.

Andrew

Well, you know, it's like it was a shorter season. Right? And then What? Because of that. Yeah. Yeah. We had less weeks less weeks.

Neal

Really?

Andrew

Yeah. Yeah. Because Chris because, Thanksgiving was late. It was the twenty seventh, twenty. How much? Hold on. Let me look that up.

Neal

I feel like Thanksgiving is always the same time.

Andrew

Well, you know, it it's supposed to be, but it actually wasn't.

Neal

Because of Biden?

Andrew

Yeah. Because of Biden.

Neal

Hey. What, what, you got any alien news and entertainment for us today? Mostly true alien stories?

UFO Sightings and Military Speculations

Andrew

Dude. Okay. You're not going to believe this. I found a story that was just reported on 01/11/2025.

Neal

Talk to me.

Andrew

Okay. UFO or something else. A private jet crew encounters eerie glowing object at 45,000 feet over The Bahamas.

Neal

You're saying that last year, January.

Andrew

No, I'm talking just a few days ago. Yesterday. This was just reported yesterday. It was on actually, it happened on December 23. Let me get to the article.

On the night of December 23, Cassandra Martin, a flight attendant for Surgette, a private air service, and two pilots were flying back to Fort Lauderdale when they encountered a mysterious object high over The Bahamas. The crew received a message from Miami Air Traffic Control alerting them to a foreign object in the vicinity as reported by NBC Miami. All of a sudden, I heard traffic control say, we have a foreign object. Can you please identify? Martin explained.

She went on to describe what she saw. I looked to the left and the pilot saw three objects. I only saw one. And I grabbed my phone and I just pressed it to the window to see if I could get a video of what the object was. The object, Martin reported, started white but soon took a greenish hue resembling an electric energy field.

It started as white and then just got green and almost like electric, some type of energy around it, she said. The mysterious object stayed with the plane for approximately forty five minutes, hovering at an altitude of 43,000 to 45,000 feet, too high for a drone and true erratic for a weather balloon.

Neal

Was it was circling or what what was it doing?

Andrew

It was like flying with them. It was keeping up the same the same speed as as they were.

Neal

So wait, was she the only one that saw it?

Andrew

No, the pilot saw it as well, but she only saw one. The pilot saw three different objects glowing, but she only saw one. So she grabbed her phone and she started making videos.

Neal

So she said, I think the first video? Did we find the video? Is there video?

Andrew

There's actually a picture of it on Mint. It's livemint.com news.

Neal

What? So what do you think it is?

Andrew

I, you know what? I I

Neal

mean, because you don't believe in that shit.

Andrew

I don't believe in that shit. So, I don't know. It's kinda weird. Maybe some sort of military operation.

Neal

Well, what what do you think? I mean, just the just last night, the Ravens Pittsburgh game was stopped. Right. It was stopped in the middle of the game because there was a unidentified flying object over the stadium. So they immediately said they called it a drone. But for security reasons, they're gonna need to stop the game. They got everybody off the fucking field. It's becoming a thing where it it's unmasked right now. Right? There's a lot of this happening.

Now I when it gets that high, now I question it. Now it becomes for me, it becomes military. Yeah. You know? If it's not military, then it's definitely of some other origin when you're that high. Because, you know, there's nobody in their garage putting together their drones that, you know, can go that high. It's it's definitely an organized, attempt of, you know, some sort of technology in my opinion.

Andrew

Agreed. Agreed. I'm actually building a drone that can go 37,000 feet high.

Neal

Yeah. Anything above 37,000, I think, is more organized. Am I right?

Andrew

I'm not wrong. No. You're not wrong. Not at all.

Neal

Did you find anything that Miami Tower reported? Did anybody is there any other report that you found that possibly

Andrew

in the actual report? It says it said they heard traffic control say we have a foreign object. Can you please identify? So Miami control, the traffic control recognized it, whatever it was.

Neal

Yeah.

Andrew

Because they alerted them to the thing.

The Nature of Threats and Unknowns

Neal

But what's the point? What's the point? And why are they flying by airplanes? That that's where I think it's a becomes a threat. Right? It isn't a threat, unless, it is unknown. Right? So it could be a drone. Right. But even though if it's a drone, now you're going, okay. Where's the origin? What is it? What is it representing? What how do we know it's not a threat? And then then it becomes a threat because you're not sure of where it's what its intentions are or why why is

Andrew

this there. Why is

Neal

this there? Doing what

Andrew

it's doing. Right.

Neal

So so then the government doesn't investigate it until they they completely believe that it's a threat. So which is weird to me because I think everything's a threat if you don't know the art.

Andrew

You don't know what it is and you you never seen it before. Yeah. It's not necessarily a threat. It's just what is it? It can't is it friendly? Do we should we talk to it?

Neal

Right.

Andrew

I mean, they needed me out there with a big keyboard going great.

Neal

Imagine if Spielberg was right and that's all we need to do is set up a giant synthesizer with speakers and just do that song.

Andrew

Right. And then you play the wrong song, and they're like, annihilation. Just go ahead and just kill everybody. Yeah. That would be

Neal

horrible.

Andrew

Or you know what would be even worse? It would be they get the guy that sings the Burger King ad. Have you heard that guy?

Neal

No. What what He

Andrew

sings the

Neal

Oh, but I don't know the guy.

Andrew

I don't know who it is. Is it a character? Listen, if if if Burger King marketing people are listening, get a different guy. The guy can't even stay on pitch. He's under the pitch. It's terrible. Is it really? My ears.

Neal

I don't remember. I is this still running?

Andrew

No. It's it's it's like the old theme, but they have a new guy singing it.

Neal

You know what? Now that you mentioned it, I haven't seen a Burger King, McDonald's, or any fast food restaurant commercial in the longest time. Have you?

Andrew

Oh my gosh. Yo. Yeah. No. I I see him. I see him.

Neal

Because you live in the Midwest, so

Andrew

you think They're gonna they're gonna advertise it there. But I gotta tell you, the guy is terrible. He's, like, right under the pitch. Like, he's the pitch. He's right. Oh, I wouldn't sing it like that. At least I'd be on pitch.

Neal

Let me hear it.

Andrew

I well, I I Alright.

Neal

I got we're auditioning for new voices for the Burger King, commercial we'd like to hear. Andrew, Triana, please, go ahead. You're up next.

Andrew

You're up next.

Neal

I I don't know the truth. Up next. You're up next.

Andrew

I'm sorry. I'd I'd I'd don't know the truth.

Neal

A lot of talking here.

Andrew

You know what? Next podcast, I'm gonna be prepared for my audition.

Neal

Could you tell us could you tell me a little bit about yourself before you sing, please?

Andrew

Yeah. Hi. I'm not a fan of Burger King, but what I am a fan of is is music that's on pitch. That's what I am a fan of. Right. And when a singer is under the pitch, I want the aliens to take them and annihilate them. That's what would happen. They'd be like, aliens, we've got the Burger King guy. He's gonna sing for you. And then he would sing the song because it's like their favorite song, and then they'd be like, no.

Annihilation. Remember, everything comes down to annihilation, total devastation and annihilation.

Neal

Does come down to annihilation, doesn't it?

Andrew

At the at the end of the day, what's what's left? Yeah. Who are they gonna give us? You know, cure for cancer? Who cares?

Alien Encounters and Celebrity Experiences

Neal

What do you think if the aliens are coming for us? Yeah. What do they want? But but, see, this is where I go to thinking that we're in a matrix. They created it. Yeah. And they come in and check on us. And then we're becoming more aware of them. Or we're Because their own AI is turning on them. And we are AI. We're in that matrix, and now we're becoming more aware. And they're just like, fuck. They they're on to us.

Andrew

You know what? There was a coolest thing with, in men in black. I think it was men in black too where he opens the locker. And inside that locker at the subway station is a whole universe. That's kinda what it's like. Someone opened the locker door.

Neal

Yeah. Yeah. I love that movie. That's a great movie, men in black.

Andrew

Yeah. Third one was okay too. This third one was bad.

Neal

Third one wasn't good. But, yeah, but the first one was good, and they did follow it up strongly with the second one, I think. Yeah. Wasn't as good as first one, but it was a definite good follow-up on that. What else you got in the news?

Andrew

Well, let's talk about celebrities.

Neal

Oh, you know I love when we talk about alien celebrities.

Andrew

Alien celebrities. Are you ready? I don't think you're gonna be shocked by this.

Neal

Go ahead.

Andrew

Miley Cyrus.

Neal

I love Miley. That's my that's my fucking bucket list. I would love to see her sing.

Andrew

Yes. When you when we say see her sing, we know that it means banging, whether they're a singer or not.

Neal

I would I would love to watch her sing and sing and

Andrew

sing. Perform. Right? Yes. No. But in

Neal

all honestly, I would love like, she does these workshop sort of concerts where she's performing in a, you know, just a small little, like, hotel venue, where she's testing out new stuff, and she's doing those things. I have a friend who, my sister-in-law who actually, you know, works in that industry, and she, she has promised me that once she gets an opportunity to get me into one of those, that'd be great. Because those are those performances are amazing. I love those workshop.

Andrew

Like a workshop kind of.

Neal

Yeah. Where she's just freeing you know, just talking with among everybody and just working on this and stopping and going back and doing something else, you know, that that kind of stuff. I think she's an amazing performer. But go ahead. Let's let's hear what this,

Andrew

looks good. So Miley Cyrus is an alien enthusiast.

Neal

Love that. Okay. Mhmm.

Andrew

So, you know, she did wrecking ball. Right? That was her big like, one of her big big

Neal

Coming like a wrecking ball.

Andrew

Thank you. Yeah. Mhmm. Thank you. You're you know what? Great audition. Fantastic. You're the best person we've seen today.

Neal

I did audition for the Burger King commercial, but I was under pitch.

Andrew

You weren't under pitch enough. That's really what happened. If you would have been just, like, really out of tune, they would have been like, you're hired. Alright. Yeah. She loves a UFO. She's had UFO experience. She said the most notable was when she was on tour driving through rural what is up with rural California? Goldie Hawn, same thing. Rural California with a friend

Neal

Because they have really good drugs out there.

Andrew

That's what I'm guessing. That's what I'm guessing. Okay. So, she was with her friend when a UFO high in the sky chased the duo down in their car.

Neal

Chase them.

Andrew

Chase them. So she did an interview.

Neal

What year was this? What year?

Andrew

You know, I'm not sure. It doesn't say in this little article that I'm reading this about. It was an interview magazine. So let's look up interview magazine because that's when she did the article to talk about it. She said the best way I don't know if I can say this with a straight face or not. I'm gonna try. The best way to describe it is a flying snowplow.

Neal

A flying

Andrew

Flying snowplow.

Neal

So, yeah, I'm in Jersey. So snowplows are massive, like, trucks.

Andrew

But yours are your snowplows dump trucks with big blades in the front of it? Is that what your snowplow is?

Neal

Yeah. Yeah. That's what I'm assuming.

Andrew

Dump truck with a with a blade in front.

Neal

Well, what's a what's a flying snowplow? What's a snowplow to you?

Andrew

I guess that's what well, here in

Neal

They're always giant dump trucks with fucking

Andrew

No. Or they're big or they're big, pickup trucks too that have the things depending. They have different sizes.

Neal

Okay. Okay.

Andrew

Okay. So, she said the best way to describe it was a flying snowplow. Yeah. It had this big plow in the front of it, and it was glowing yellow. I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too. There's a couple other cars on the road, and they also stopped to look. So I think what I saw was real. She said she shook her up

Neal

Wait a minute.

Andrew

For, like, five days.

Neal

Go back.

Andrew

Okay. It flew down. It chased them. It like, why would you

Neal

because it was like, hey. It's Miley. Right. Why would it chase a random car?

Andrew

Yeah. It could have been you in that flying snowplow.

Neal

Oh, yeah. If I could. Do

Andrew

you have a hover hover snowplow that you were chasing her down with possibly since you're such a fan?

Neal

Yeah. I don't understand. I don't understand how. But she said other people, same thing. They were pulled over.

Andrew

Other other people stopped on the side of the road is what she said. She said they pulled off the road to look to see. Could she hear it? She didn't say anything about hearing anything.

Neal

I wanna ask her.

Andrew

You're gonna have to ask her. Ask her about the flying snowplow. She said, I was shaken up for, like, five days. It fucked me up is what she said. I really couldn't look at the sky the same way. I thought they might come back. Now this is where it gets interesting. I didn't feel threatened at all.

Neal

I was just gonna ask.

Andrew

But I did see a being sitting in the front of the flying object.

Neal

Well, somebody has to drive the snowplow.

Andrew

It looked at me, and we made eye contact. I think that's what really shook me up. Looking into the eyes of something that I couldn't quite wrap my head around.

Neal

Did she did did she explain what it looked like?

Andrew

No. She doesn't explain what the beam looked like. She said there was a beam driving, and they locked eyes. And this is what I think happened. I think mentally, the thing communicated with her and said, not Taylor Swift and then fucking flew off.

Neal

Definitely. I

Andrew

think it was forever.

Neal

I wanna know what year it was.

The Intersection of Reality and Perception

Andrew

So this article in Billboard magazine was written in 2020.

Neal

Who's the author of it?

Andrew

Author is, Rainia Anifdos. Rainia Anifdos.

Neal

And that was in 2020?

Andrew

That was in 2020. She did the article.

Neal

She did the article then, but did she say

Andrew

what you knew that was? I was driving through she doesn't she doesn't give a year. I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO. I'm pretty sure about what I saw, but I also bought weed wax from a guy in a

Neal

van in

Andrew

front of a taco shop.

Neal

She was high.

Andrew

But the best way to describe it was a flying snowplow.

Neal

She was high as fuck. She was high.

Andrew

Well, the Midnight Sky singer said the experience left her shaken for, like, five days. She didn't feel threatened at all. I did see a being singing in front of the object. She said it looked at me and we made eye contact. And I think that's what really shook me up. Looking into the eyes is something I couldn't quite wrap my head around. But you're so right to say that it's a form of narcissism to think that we're the only things that could be in the vast universe.

Neal

But so she was high as fuck. And the, I'm not saying that she didn't see anything, but I'm pretty sure the mention of weed wax was her insinuation that maybe there was something else in the weed wax that maybe could have taken her to another place in her mind. I still love her.

Andrew

But, you know, when when we talked about post Malone a few a few, episodes ago, post Malone was high on shrooms when he was talking to Joe Rogan. So how do we know what he saw was true?

Neal

Well, I mean, I've been on

Andrew

Goldie Hawn in the desert again. She said it was like being touched by God. Love my hands.

Neal

Yeah. Well, you know what? Listen. I I think there are actually if we were gonna get into it, there are, some, hallucinogenics that actually, I think bring forward truth and connection to, some higher spiritual, revelations that I think aren't necessarily ruled out because you're on something that's connecting you to that. I think it's actually

Andrew

So you're saying that these these drugs could possibly connect you to a subconscious that you're unaware of?

Neal

Yes. Yeah. I believe in that wholeheartedly. You you do not. But I I do. I mean, I've been

Andrew

on No. No. No. I get it. Look, man, you could probably see some really cool stuff. You know, people keep telling me, dude, you need to smoke weed. You need to smoke weed. And I'm like, why? And they're like, oh, you're so creative. And weed would make you more creative.

Neal

And I'm like, well, I don't know that weed makes you more creative. That that that's a that's a, to me is, not a factual statement. I think weed is

Andrew

tell you that heroin does nothing for

Neal

me. It's just not I keep trying it, and it's not taking me anywhere.

Andrew

It doesn't take me anywhere except put me to sleep, and my wife has to roll me on my side so I don't vomit and drown in my own vomit. Do you

Introduction to Alien Stories

Neal

have, do you have any other, news and updates? Do you have any comments?

Andrew

Well, I can tell you something. I don't know. You you don't watch TV. I mean, you do, but you don't because you don't see the Burger King ads, which is sad.

Neal

I've never I have not seen any fast food restaurant, commercials in

Andrew

the world. You need to YouTube it and listen to that guy sing, and then you can talk about it. Okay? I will.

Neal

I'm going to.

Andrew

Okay. I think the most exciting thing that is happening because I'm a huge alien fan, like, of alien.

Neal

Right. You like the alien idea or the alien alien movie?

Andrew

Alien movies, alien, aliens.

Neal

Yeah.

Andrew

Alien three, you can fucking keep.

Neal

But you don't believe in it.

Andrew

It's okay. What do you mean I don't believe in that? Come on. That's awesome.

Neal

No. No. No. You don't believe in other do you? Do you believe in other

Andrew

Other lives? Other universes. No. No. Come on. That's like saying, oh, Rick Skywalker is real.

Neal

But you like the science fiction of the alien

Andrew

Yeah. I like science. Concepts. I love science fiction, fantasy, and all that stuff.

Neal

Art of it. Yeah. Sure.

Andrew

Okay. K. In summer summer this year, 2025. I can't believe what I'm saying. Twenty twenty five.

Neal

This summer.

Andrew

This summer on Hulu.

Neal

Coming soon on Hulu.

Andrew

And FX.

Neal

And FX.

Andrew

Yeah. Alien Earth.

Neal

Talk to me. What is it?

Andrew

Okay. So, it's set in 2120, right, which is just like tomorrow.

Neal

Mhmm.

Andrew

It follows a crash recovery crew that encounters a mysterious space vessel and dangerous life forms on Earth.

Neal

I love it.

Andrew

And you just gotta when you get a chance, watch the trailer because the trailer is you see Earth. Right? Mhmm. Like a reflection of Earth, and then it kind of morphs and then the head spins up and it's the freaking xenomorph alien's face. It's like with the saliva and then it goes alien earth 2025.

Neal

So it's a little horror. It's hard.

Andrew

All the alien stuff is horror. I mean, I don't know if you saw alien Romulus. Like, it got bashed, but I dude, I thought it was freaking awesome.

The Anticipation of New Alien Media

Neal

You loved it.

Andrew

Oh, yeah. Scary. Scary. Scary. Good. Scary. Good.

Neal

I'll have to watch it. And now so who's producing the, this, alien series?

Andrew

It's Fox. Fox is doing it. It's Noah Hawley. Noah Hawley's alien. I don't know who Noah Hawley is. I need to look at who that person is.

Neal

Mhmm.

Andrew

But it's their their spin on the sci fi horror series Alien.

Neal

Well, I I really hope that it's done well, and it doesn't get It

Andrew

looks like I've seen a couple trailers. I saw that one trailer, then I saw another trailer. It looks like it's gonna be it's gonna be good. Now I don't know if did you see Prey? Did you watch Prey, p r e y, online?

Neal

I did not. I did not.

Andrew

Are you a Predator fan?

Neal

I love Predator. Yes.

Andrew

Okay. So it's, it's a spin on Predator, but it's early predator, like early, like native American prequel to prequel to Danny Glover's predator two.

Neal

Yeah. Did

Andrew

you see predator two?

Neal

I didn't

Andrew

absolutely terrible. Was it That was like the end of Danny Glover's career, and I love Danny Glover.

Neal

Well, he's probably forced to do it. Right?

Andrew

Well, yeah. He's just send his daughter to college. Yeah. That's his forcing.

Neal

Yeah. Right.

Andrew

Right. Just like Michael Caine with Jaws three d. Michael Caine, one of the greatest actors ever, does Jaws three d. Terrible. But he needed the money. It just reminds me of Andrew Dice Clay. Little boy blue. He needed the money. You know Who thought we'd even bring up Andrew Dice Clay on our podcast? I mean, seriously, that's grasping at past straws.

Neal

I think he should be brought up on every episode. I love Andrew Dice Clay. He's an alien. So there is, I'm I'm hoping so I I do believe that there's, you know, there's gonna be this big run on alien this and alien that now on TV and movies and all that stuff. Obviously, we've talked about it.

I'm just hoping that they just don't put out garbage to put out garbage. Like, you know, the this series that you just spoke about, it it the alien movies for me work because they always die at the end, and then then there's that, you know, then there's that glimmer of the the, you know, the finger moves and then, you know, or they find the eggs and, you know, oh, there's gonna be another one. Right? So in a series in a series like this that they're gonna do I mean, then they're gonna bring in love stories, and then there's characters. It becomes it becomes, you know, the Star Trek series, you know, which worked, which they try to they try to copy.

But the problem is and when it comes to the alien thing, there's the bad alien, right, that is

Andrew

But are they bad?

Neal

Well, no. Not necessarily. I guess they're They're

The Valentich Disappearance: A Mysterious Case

Andrew

just trying to survive. Right? We come to their ship. Yeah. We

Neal

But but You know?

Andrew

Then we're mad because the thing sucks in our face, and that's how they've survived. And that's what we're angry about. Yeah. But What are we so angry about?

Neal

Right. Why are you so angry

Andrew

for you?

Neal

I mean, if we could just learn how to talk to them and sit down and just have a regular conversation

Andrew

wanna hug.

Neal

It's like politics. It's like politics. Nobody can have a conversation anymore.

Andrew

Look. Same thing. Science, same thing. I I heard a great quote for science. You ready for this?

Neal

Yeah. I'm ready.

Andrew

It says when ideology becomes science and science becomes ideology, then there is no room at the table for discussion. And that's a fact. Mhmm.

Neal

That's great.

Andrew

That's a fact. Yeah. It's heavy, right?

Neal

Yeah. I I that's a that is a great that is a great quote.

Andrew

Think about all the alien movies. Did they ever try to sit down and go, okay, stop. Let's talk. Did they take out the keyboard? That could have calmed them. That could have calmed them. Music seals the savage beast. That's what they say. They didn't even try music on them. So disappointed.

Neal

Yeah. In all seriousness, in a series like this, it better be off the fucking hook. It better be breaking bad meets, you know, alien world because it you know, it's gotta be written that well. Every episode is really good and rich, and you wanna see five,

Andrew

scenes of it. I I have been I you know, huge fan of Gladiator. Right? Saw Gladiator two. Terrible. Love Denzel. Hard. Love Denzel. Like, probably one of my he's in my top five favorite actors. Right?

Neal

Yeah. Terrible. For sure.

Andrew

Fell flat for sure. Right? Then I watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Have you seen it?

Neal

I haven't. And I heard that was garbage.

Andrew

Yeah. Yeah. So here we are waiting twenty years plus for these second movies, right, that everybody's been talking about, and this is what they produce. I mean, I watch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and I was like, this is so boring.

Neal

Yeah.

Andrew

So boring. Keaton did what he could with it, but it was boring.

Neal

It was very scripted. Right? In the original Beetlejuice, there was a lot of that improv happening, a lot of they let scenes roll. They let things happen. I think in this other one, they stuck to the script Yeah. And and just

Andrew

I mean, it did have Monica Bellucci in it who was like, wow.

Neal

That's your Miley Cyrus?

Andrew

No. No. She's not my Miley Cyrus. No. She's not your Miley Cyrus. No. She's not she's just just like she's just a beautiful Italian woman. That's all.

Neal

Okay. Alright. Alright. I I feel like there's more to this, but okay.

Andrew

That's fine. That's for a therapy session. We'll talk about it.

Neal

Alright. Is that, is that it on alien news and entertainment?

Andrew

That's it on alien news, entertainment, and celebrities. What do you got for me today?

Theories Surrounding Valentich's Vanishing

Neal

That's terrific, dude. We have a great story today. I really like this one. And, you know, on mostly true alien stories, I will share a, a reporting of a alien, abduction or, sighting, and you and I will, decide each individually if we think it is a mostly true alien story as we always do. And today, Andrew we have the, what I title lost to the unknown skies, the Valentich Disappearance. And I hope I'm saying it right. The Valentich Valentich Disappearance.

Andrew

Okay.

Neal

Are you ready for this?

Andrew

I'm hit me.

Neal

Okay. This is in in October twenty first of nineteen seventy eight along the Bass Street in Australia, and it happened at 07:06.

Andrew

Did it happen down on day?

Neal

Very good. That was a great accent.

Andrew

There was some shrimps on the barbie. We're gonna see some UFOs.

Neal

Mhmm. Good day.

Andrew

I'm never gonna get hired for my Australian accent. No.

Neal

No. I think you got that. I think I think you nailed that.

Andrew

I okay.

Neal

Alright. Are you ready? Okay. So this began as a routine flight, a, young pilot. It was a clear evening and a simple route. Okay? But by the end of the night, the 20 year old Frederick Belentich would vanish without a trace, leaving behind only a chilling radio transmission and a mystery that has captivated UFO investigators for decades. Okay. So Frederick Belentich was an aspiring pilot with a passion for aviation. He was just 20 years old.

He had logged around a 50 flight hours and held a class for instrument rating

Andrew

Well, this

Neal

is which allowed him to fly at night Okay. Alright, under visual meteorological conditions. Though not an expert, Valentich was known to be diligent, and cautious about his flights. This is what they report. On October 7078, rented a a a Cessna, one eighty two l light aircraft from a Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne, Australia, and his plan was straightforward.

He it was a 25 mile training flight over the Bass Strait to King Island and back. It was a clear evening, and everything appealed, appeared ideal for the journey. You with me? I'm with you. However, Valentich had another interest, UFOs. Oh,

Andrew

okay.

Neal

Friends and family noted his fascination with the topic, and he had even speculated about what it would be like to encounter an extraterrestrial craft. Someone later questioned whether his obsession played a role in his final hours. So you see where I'm going. A little foreshadowing here.

Andrew

Mhmm. Mhmm.

UFO Sightings in the Bass Strait

Neal

On his final flight, Blentisch took off at 06:19PM. He headed Southwest toward King Island, and at 07:06PM, he made radio contact with Melbourne Flight Service Officer Steve Roby. The conversation that followed would become one of the most eerie and analyzed exchanges in aviation history, so they say. K. Belentish reported seeing an unidentified craft.

He descended it he dis he described it as a large aircraft with four bright lights moving at high speed and passing over him. When, Roby informed him that there were no known aircraft in his vicinity, Valentich insisted that the object was not a typical aircraft. Alright. So so so far, this, the, the, flight coordinator saw nothing on the radar. Right?

Right. It's not an air it's not an aircraft, Blentich said. As the minutes ticked by, Blentich's descriptions grew more alarming. He reported that the object was orbiting above him, emitting a green light, and appeared metallic. Like the He noted yeah. He noted

Andrew

Or like the wait. Wait. Wait. Sorry. Like the the one that we just talked about earlier in The Bahamas. Yeah. Green. Okay.

Neal

Yeah. He noted its unusual movements describing how it seemed to hover then accelerate rapidly. At 07:12PM, Valentich reported that his engine was rough idling. Alright. So we're talking six minutes later during this report.

Right? He's reporting about this, and then, six minutes later, his engine now was rough idling. Seconds later, his voice took on a panic tone as he exclaimed, that strange aircraft that strange aircraft is hovering on top of me again. It is hovering, and it's not an aircraft. These would be his his word his final words heard from Frederick Valentich.

This is the last thing we heard from him. Okay. So here we are. A massive air and sea search was launched to locate Valentich and his aircraft. Over the next week, search team scoured the bat the Bass Strait and surrounding areas. Not a single trace of Valentich, his plane, or any wreckage was ever found. Everybody was baffled. It was all of these things. So here are the theories based on this story. This is all we got.

So there was no other, there there were some I think there were some other reportings of this, but hold on a sec. So some believe that Valentich became disoriented and flew into the water. They they argued that his fascination with UFOs might have caused him to misinterpret natural phenomena and such as reflection or celestial object like Venus. That's what they're saying.

Andrew

Yeah. Did you say Venus or his penis? I mean, it's like, seriously?

Neal

Yeah. Come on. Celestial object like Venus. What does that even mean?

Andrew

I guess Venus at that time in the sky is very bright.

Neal

In Australia. In Australia?

Andrew

In Australia?

Neal

Over the Bass Strait, maybe.

Andrew

I mean, when I was there, I never saw Venus.

Neal

So Mhmm. Saw my penis.

Andrew

Saw my penis in the reflection of the celestial lights. Yeah. Amazing. Yeah.

Neal

Others suggest that a mechanical issue caused the plane to crash, though Volentich's reports of the unidentified craft remain unexplained. So, the most extraordinary theory is that, Valentich encountered a UFO, obviously. So supporters of this idea that, you know, they point to his descriptions of the craft, the strange light, lack of any wreckage. Several witnesses later came forward claiming to have seen unusual lights in the sky over the Bass Strait on the same night.

Andrew

K.

Neal

And then the less common theory is that Valentich staged his disappearance perhaps to start a new life or as a dramatic act tied to his interest in UFOs. However, there's no evidence to support this claim. That's the story. I mean, there's not much there there the prior incidences let me let me go to the prior incidences before you you weigh in here. The Bass Street area, nineteen seventies, had a history of UFO sightings throughout the seventies.

Yep. The fishermen, pilots, and residents reported seeing unexplained lights and objects in the sky all all the time. These accounts contributed to the region's reputation as a hot spot for aerial phenomena. Okay? On the same evening as Valentich's disappearance, there were belated reports of the UFO sighting in Australia.

UFO Sightings and Disappearances

However, the Department of Transport Transport was skeptical that a UFO was behind Valentich's disappearance. Of course, they were. Some officials speculated that Valentich became disoriented and saw his own lights reflected in the water and or lights from a nearby island while flying upside down. He he got disoriented and flew upside down. He thought maybe he saw, you know, something.

Other sightings, post 1978, following his disappearance, the vast streak continued. There's more sightings. The you know, they they see unexplained lights and objects exhibiting unusual flight patterns, and they have maintained the area's enigmatic reputation. So there's some you know, I listen. I'll I'll let you weigh in, and then I'll I'll give you my, you know, let let's get specific, though. Let me let me tell you some specific sightings in the Bass Strait Triangle, they call it.

Andrew

Okay.

Neal

In nineteen o one, the SS Federal

Andrew

Right.

Neal

Coal carrying ship vanished with 31 crew members on board. Its wreck was not located until 2019. That's in the triangle. That is not saying that it has anything related to aliens.

Andrew

Oh, so the wreck wasn't located until 2019. They actually found the ship.

Neal

Yeah. That's right. Okay. What else? So the SS Amelia j and SS Southern Cross in 1920, both vessels disappeared in the Bass Street while wreckage of the Southern Cross was found on King Island. The Amelia j was never discovered. I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but, some of these are

Andrew

Related, somehow related to how so possibly. Okay.

Neal

I'm I'm, additionally, a military air code D H 9 a aircraft engaged in the search that was searching for them also vanished. Miss Hobart Nineteen Thirty Four. A de Havilland express airliner disappeared over the Bass Strait with no survivors. Only a small amount of wreckage was found on the Victorian coast. I think if you find wreckage, it's not a disappearance. That's in my opinion.

Andrew

Oh, I I agree with you 100%. If it's gone completely, then it's gone.

Neal

Yeah. Another airliner crashed into the Senior Flinders Island resulting in a loss of an all onboard. No bodies were recovered. So that these aren't disappeared. This isn't related to alien bullshit. Alright. So I have my thoughts on this. I think you'll be surprised at my thoughts, but I'm gonna let you Andrew, why don't you weigh in on this story and let me know if you think this is a mostly true alien story?

The Pilot's Background and Failures

Andrew

Okay. Alright. So here's a little history of your friend Frederick. Alright. Yeah. Did you know that, he failed his commercial license five times?

Neal

Did he? Yeah. He failed his commercial license.

Andrew

He was like a wannabe pilot. Yeah.

Neal

So it's almost like a wannabe cop.

Andrew

Okay. And then a month before his disappearance, he failed three more commercial licenses. He was involved in several flying incidents, for example, straying into a controlled zone in Sydney in Sydney, Australia. He was given a warning for that, and then he twice deliberately flew into a cloud for which prosecution is was being considered. Here's the

Neal

He went he flew into a cloud?

Andrew

Yeah. He wasn't supposed to fly into these clouds apparently. Mhmm. And so they they because maybe they were storm clouds. I don't know. They're not really saying why they told him don't fly in that cloud. You're in

Neal

the sky, but avoid the cloud.

Andrew

Yeah. Maybe because clouds can create turbulence. And since he's a new pilot, it's not a smart thing to do.

Neal

Yeah.

Andrew

Okay. Now this is the greatest one of all.

Neal

So he failed a whole bunch of times?

Andrew

He failed a bunch of times. Failure as a pilot. Six days six days prior to his disappearance Yeah. He told his girlfriend, Rhonda Rushton, the possibility of UFO taking him away.

Neal

So he's losing his shit.

Andrew

Yeah. So I'm gonna say no UFO. He kamikazed into the water. He's a failure as a pilot, and he went down as a record as the greatest failure pilot by going, UFO. It's gonna get me. Or he just flew under radar and went someplace else. He had another girlfriend on some other island, and he lived there for the rest of his life. But they never found wreckage of his plane. Right?

Neal

Never found wreckage. Yeah.

Andrew

Yeah. Because he landed at some place else. They didn't have, tracking devices on those planes back in '78.

Neal

Okay. So you're saying it's not a mostly true alien?

Andrew

No. It's not even not even close.

Speculations on Valentich's Fate

Neal

Okay. Alright. So, here here is my thank you for that information too, by the way. Those are the things I did not know. So, that does come into consideration. But here's the fantasy side of me, and you know I truly believe that there are

Andrew

extraterrestrials Yeah.

Neal

They're out there taking people

Andrew

left

Neal

and right, and we're fucking aliens.

Andrew

I mean, that was just rejected last night. I'm back.

Neal

Yeah. So so, you know, the I'd I'd love and and I always want these stories to be true. The the problem with this one is okay. And based on the information you shared too, it would be interesting to do a really good psychological study on this kid, Blentich, right, and see, like, what he grew up with as single parents, maybe, you know, maybe he have older brothers. I don't know. Know. I don't know. I'd love I would love to find out what the psychological makeup of this kid was going into it.

Andrew

They the but this, you know, his friend said that he wouldn't commit suicide. So they don't think it was a suicide. That's that's the only thing that, I I I just just read that just now. So his friends, they they asked his friends, do you think that he would kill himself? They said, absolutely not. I mean, the guy failed his pilot last thing, like, eight times. He didn't kill himself. All of a sudden, what do you do

Neal

with it? Mhmm.

Andrew

So okay. Go ahead.

Neal

Yeah. So right. How many years ago is this? Thirty?

Andrew

Seventy eight. So, yeah, thirty plus.

Neal

Yeah. And he was 20. So he's, like, 55, something like that now if he were alive?

Andrew

No. He was 20 and 78, 30 and '88, '40 and '98, '50 in 02/2008, '60. He'd be in the sixties.

Neal

He's in the sixties. Yeah. So it'd be really cool right now if he reappeared

Andrew

on the show.

Neal

He reappeared and wrote a book about his alien abduction, and they kept him and took him to another

The Fantasy of Alien Abduction

Andrew

Oh, wow.

Neal

It'd be very, very fucking cool. I mean, not not for nothing, but that'd be great. He'd be very smart for staging this and just, you know, take it off.

Andrew

You wouldn't believe what he saw, what they did to me up there, the UFO.

Neal

Wow. That's a wow. That's a good one. That's a good accent.

Andrew

Wait. If my if my camera

Neal

was on the show On the show today, we have we have, what's his first name? Frederick. Frederick Valentich. He has just reappeared from being abducted from 1978. Frederick, it's nice to have you on the show today. Where have you been?

Andrew

I've been up at a UFO. The UFOs, they they had me up there, and they were, like, probing me and stuff in the last sixty years. I got a I got a alien wife. We have three beautiful alien children. What

Neal

are their names? What are

Andrew

their their names are beep bop and boop. And let me tell you, these kids, I'm gonna bring them down. They're gonna be professional football players here. They each got four legs. They're gonna run like crazy. They're gonna take over all of Australia football.

Neal

Wow. Well, you heard here first, everyone, Frederick Valentich. He's married an alien. He's got three kids. They're gonna be football stars here in America. So what did they, why it take so long for you to come back to Earth?

Andrew

Well, you know, I had to, to fix the ship. There were some problems with the ship, and, they brought me back. They fixed it for me. It took him sixty years to fix the ship. I flew back here as soon as I could, and I wanted to, get on your show. Mostly true alien stories to tell you that it was a true alien story.

Neal

Well, we are happy to have you here, ladies and gentlemen. Frederick Valentich, abducted in 1978.

Andrew

And I had to get away from Rhonda. She was crazy.

Neal

Hot Rhonda. Hot Rhonda.

Andrew

That was the song that Beach Boys wrote about. Help me Rhonda. A different Rhonda, though.

Neal

Well, it's great to have you on the show, Frederick. We'll, we'd love to have you on again another time.

Andrew

I'd I'd love to be back. Maybe when my when my kids be popping, boop, get out there, and they start playing that football, you'll see them.

Neal

It's gonna be great. It's gonna

Andrew

be great.

Neal

What what were you doing all this time? What were you guys doing

Andrew

all this year? Probing. We're probing a bunch of different people. Just probing them. I fly back and on different planets. We were on Mars and Venus and Jupiter picking up aliens there and just banging them.

Neal

What? Crazy

Andrew

time. I'm telling you crazy.

Neal

That's some alien abduction journey you went on.

Andrew

Oh, yeah. Talk about abduction. It was seduction, abduction.

Neal

Induction,

Andrew

seduction? Abduction, seduction.

Neal

That's that's that's what they call it.

Andrew

That that's what we that's the official term I gave it.

Neal

Well, you know, I was about to to, you know, say that your story was not mostly true.

Andrew

Well, no. It's absolutely true. You know, my alien wife, she looks just like Miley Cyrus.

Neal

Oh, wow. You got me now. You got me now.

Andrew

Yeah. Actually, the Miley Cyrus at TA is not, is not, the real Miley. The real Miley's up in the spaceship.

Neal

She was taken by a snowplow, I heard.

Andrew

The snowplow plowed her and brought her up there. He made eye contact with her. At first, he was looking for Tully Swift, but couldn't find Taylor, so he settled for Miley.

Neal

K. Wow. Yeah. Well, Taylor's been busy. Football games.

Andrew

She's busy doing football games and football dudes and American football dudes mostly.

Neal

That is true. That's true. Yeah. Well, I I'll tell you what, Frederick, this is great. I'm glad you're back. I'm glad you're safe. You look good.

Andrew

Thank you. I feel great.

Neal

Yeah. We'll have you back another time.

Andrew

I'm I'm looking forward to it. Thank you so much.

Neal

Alright. Thanks. Alright. Appreciate it. There you go, ladies and gentlemen.

Andrew

Excuse me. Who knew? Who knew? The election. Seduction.

Neal

It's abduction, seduction.

Andrew

Yeah. Abduction. Abduction, seduction. Yeah.

Neal

Yeah. Thanks thanks to Frederick. We didn't know about this.

Andrew

I never knew about that. So that's what all these these cases where they get probed. That's what it's called.

Neal

I don't know what deduction time. Yep. Hey. Hey. You wanna go on on abduction deduction? Go down to Earth and probe the shit out of them? Who's in? So going back to this story, I mean I mean, after that interview, though, I

Andrew

Dude, the people that we get on this show is it's crazy. Yeah. Who would have thought?

Neal

Yeah. Who would

Andrew

have thought that the guy was gone? Okay. So I'm gonna say he was abducted then. I heard I talked to him. That

Neal

yeah. Let let's just say the interview. Yeah. Just based on the interview. The guy guys

Andrew

It's starting to sway me.

Neal

You know what? I forgot to ask him. I forgot to ask him if he's writing a book and doing a movie. I forgot all that shit. Next time.

Andrew

Maybe if he comes back. You know what? If he if he comes back.

Neal

Yeah. So based on everything that we've learned, you know, I really wanted this to be something, but, you know, he he he was crazy. Dude dude was crazy. Maybe he did take off, and maybe he is living a life somewhere on an island with someone else. Maybe he did wanna get away from Rhonda, hot Rhonda. You know, all of those things. So, for me, yeah, this is not a mostly true alien story, and I think we're in agreement on that. So alright. Well, there you go. It was a great episode.

Conclusion and Future Speculations

I'm looking forward to the next mostly true alien story. Andrew, do you have

Andrew

It's gonna be good. It's gonna be good. I don't know. I have some more, really cool celebrity, and entertainment is coming up too. I'd love to hear a little from congress. Do you have any

Neal

Congress updates?

Andrew

Yeah. You know, they've been quiet about this lately.

Neal

Trump says his first day in office, he's gonna tell us what those drones are all about.

Andrew

I know what they're all about. I can't tell it because he asked me to I signed an MBA with him.

Neal

He's sleeping with, Elon Musk under your desk right now?

Andrew

No. No. It's just Elon, are you he's still sleep. He's sound asleep. He works so hard. He worked all night. Don't wake him.

Neal

Alright. Good night, Elon. Good night. Good night, everybody.
