¶ Understanding the Anointing

¶ Lesson From The Bronze Serpent
In the morning I was teaching about the snakes that were biting people. I think that's what snakes do, bite. And and then God told Moses to put up the bronze serpent and said once it once the thing bites you don't don't look at it You're gonna die. You have to look at the the one up. Yeah that's how you survive. So that story talks about sin.
on how no matter the kind of sin you're doing, focusing on it does not save you from it. Rather it will defeat you. But there is one who became sin for us. When it says cast is everyone who hangs on a tree. That's Jesus is talking about that he was also hung on a tree. ¶ Complaining Attracts Demonic Activity

¶ Why Jesus Needed the Anointing
Let's go to the main text. It was what? 1 Samuel chapter 9. At least, Pastor Peter remembers. There was a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish. So we are learning about anointing. There are so many places to learn about anointing in the Bible. and of course the most anointed was Jesus.
And the Bible says how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for God was with him now. Sister, If Jesus needed to be anointed. Who wasn't watching pornography? Huh? If Jesus needed to be anointed. You will stand no chance of having any impact without the anointing. Think about it. He was the son of God. He was sinless. The Bible says he was without sin. He never sinned.
He knew the scriptures. By age 12, he could have a useful conversation from the Torah. You're now 38. You still think Hezekiah is a book in the Bible? He all these nice things. but still he needed to be anointed. You were not born the son of God. You know very few scriptures. You are definitely not without sin. And you are there trying to do ministry without anointing.
¶ Anointing is the Holy Spirit
Oh desire in life should be anointing. The Holy Spirit. The anointing is the Holy Spirit. It says he anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit. The anointing is what? Ingine oil, cooking oil, olive oil, cord liver oil. Hair, oil, nothing. ¶ Always Pursue The Anointing

¶ Anointing Over Natural Attributes
Whether you're tall or Whether you have a tall wallet, whether you're more handsome than anyone else, You need the anointing.

What shall we say to these things? You need to be anointed. You see, Saul couldn't just go on and become king because of his height and his handsomeness. ¶ Do Not Substitute Anointing
Anointing. You need anointing. It's not just being handsome, being tall, being skilled. Let me ask you, what is it that you've substituted for the anointing in ministry? You can decide because you are very educated you don't need to seek God. You can decide because You have a good marriage. You don't need to seek God.
with a good commendable character, you don't need to seek God. That's why many times, unfortunately, some of the most anointed people are also some of the ones with a dodgy character. Because the people with right standing, right character, well known in society, you have decided that that's what you build your ministry on instead of seeking the presence of God.
As you can see, Saul has a long lineage, son of this, son of this, son of this. So because you are son or daughter of someone, that's what you're building ministry on.

And you start criticizing God's servants because you feel you're better than them. You feel you have higher character than them. Okay, you have higher character than them. How many people have you w wanted the Lord? He said he'll surprise you the people God likes. You may find God liking the Dodger guy, but he's doing his work.
You at your house, if you have a household, don't you like them because of the work they do? Yes. There are other people who are maybe more educated, but they are not the ones you want. You want the ones who humble themselves and do the work. So you, you may have, instead of seeking anointing, maybe you have many degrees from Bible colleges. That's your substitution. Thank you. All those things are nice. They shaped the vessel into Oil is poured, but they are not the oil.

¶ Loss Can Guide You to God
This was a long search looking for donkeys. Meanwhile, it was a setup. God was behind this apparent loss of donkeys. to guide Saul to where he would find His destiny, the anointing. In the end, she ended up having a healing minute. when husband would be having these meetings where they are teaching should do the healing meeting. Because she ended up finding God praying for her son.
v eventually came back to the Lord and back into the ministry. Now it doesn't always have to be like that. But I'm just telling you based on the story. Kish didn't send the donkeys away so that they could look for them. No, the donkeys got. So there might be something in your life which is not there, something you've lost. feel like you've lost because the donkeys were later found Something that seems like a delay. But all that is an opportunity. For you to seek God, to know God.

¶ Seeking a Man of God
Are you still with me? So said his servant who was with him, Come, let us return lest my father cease caring about the donkeys. And become worried about us. All that he says surely comes to pass. So let us go up there. Perhaps he can show us the way. that we should go. Something to do with everyday life, like donkeys. And you can't seem to find. But maybe you have a wise companion and they tell you, look.
Let's go. In this city there is a man of God. Every city deserves a man of the case. Every community deserves a life-giving church. Every community deserves a life-giving church led by a man or woman of God. And I think you should organize yourself. to become one of those. We hear of Jesus of Nazareth, Saul of Tarsus. Who else? What's your attitude towards pastors? When you hear the word pastor, which way does your heart beat? Okay. If you hear pastor versus professor, which side are you likely to think there is more respect? Or Pastor vs. Doctor. All that he says comes to pass. So let us go there. ¶ Humility in Receiving Anointing
In his book, Steps to the Anointing, Bishop Doug, in one of the chapters, The Anointing at the Jordan, the first point is: Got your man of God. He's referring to how Jesus got anointed. ¶ Church as an Altar of Giving

¶ Education on Spiritual Giving

¶ Samuel Prophesies to Saul
As they were coming into the city, there was Samuel coming out toward them on his way up to the high place. Now the Lord had told Samuel in his ear the day before Saul came, saying, Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man. So when Samuel saw so... The Lord said to him, There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over my people. Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate and said, Please tell me where the seer's house is. Samuel answered Saul and said, I am the seer.
Go up before me to the high place for you shall eat with me today and tomorrow. I'll let you go and will tell you all that is in your heart. But as for your donkeys, That we are lost three days ago. Do not be anxious about them for they have been found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on you and on all your father's house?

¶ Anointing is Transmitted Through People
