Our culture has become desensitized to violence as it floods our entertainment, our news, and our lives. So much so, that by the time a child is 18, they will witness over 200,000 acts of violence on TV. In the 6th commandment, God has ordered His people to not murder. Why is it that we are so complacent at viewing and accepting violence? Perhaps the issue is deeper then we know. Jesus in Matthew 5:20-21 will help us to uncover the root problem that starts not with our actions, but in our hearts.
