The passion the drive, does this equal motivation?

Passion is an emotion a feeling of intense enthusiasm towards or compelling desire for someone or something.  #Passion is such a strong word, and we see it throughout our personal lives, and our professional lives.  It can be as simple as find pleasure in preparing a delicious meal, or throw you into a heated debate.  Whatever your passions are, why are they important?  Why do you believe having passions define us, give us #hope, #energy and a better understanding of ourselves?  Is this even true?
