In this edition of the Mondo Minute, we were honored to spend time with Bernard Joseph, a  retired Police Sergeant who served as a lead homicide and narcotics investigator and a hostage negotiator.

Throughout his career, Bernard has received many accolades, but his most notable achievement is becoming the first African American football coach in his school district. He’s still in this role today and is also a PE teacher at the school .

In this interview, Bernard shares his story of facing adversity, staying grounded, and how he leads himself, his family, and his team.
