Lauren Gibbons Paul is a Boston-based freelance writer. For 30 years, she has covered how organizations use technology to advance business goals. She got interested in ballroom dance roughly seven years ago when she started taking lessons with a Hungarian pro. Lauren was interested in the lives of the pros at her dance studio -- all of whom were born in other countries. Invited to come here, they are pursuing their own version of the American dream.
