Gila explains why she chose a comedy club as the venue for her book launch and how humor can provide relief from the heaviness of life.

Gila also shares the hardest chapter to write, which was about her experience with cranial prosthesis (wearing a wig). Gila also talks about stepping up as the oldest member of her family after the loss of her parents and the impact it had on her and her siblings. She emphasizes the importance of early detection in breast cancer and shares her advocacy for breast health awareness, including her monthly “Feel it on the first” campaign.
