And you know they know, I don't think they Guyana, Yes, and they generally have a lot of free time. You know, maybe somewhere in the United States is listening. Yeah, what number are we? So fun? The last time you check, last done with check, we
was at ninety states states in the United States. Yeah, in the United all, Yes, ninety out of a billion people that everybody has the podcast, right, Yeah, everybody podcasts. Everybody in their grandma and their neighbor. And the uber driver had a podcast. I talked to him everybody that podcast. I guess people really listen to us, because how could we be ninety two? That's pretty good. Thanks for listening. Your mother socker And it's were you wearing today? Oh
I'm wearing this Eagles jersey. Who's in the back of it? Yeah? Yeah, I got it from this famous comedian Michael Blocks. Oh thanks, my gud the thing I stole it from you? Close it. I used to play for the Eagles. Oh yeah, how much were you getting better? Man? I was belowered water boy man. Yeah, I came in a game when everybody got hurt. Their coaches was hurt. What the boys were hurt. That utility coach was hurt. As everybody was hurt, the chelis were hurt. Once everybody was hurt, that's when I
came in the game. So that man, at one time I came very close, but they when the cheladers just had a splinter in her finger. So she went in the game and played in and I didn't. Mike, that's not a bad idea having you as the mascot fulfilling Eagles, I mean the pump man, hype man, hype man. Yeah, yeah, I'm skinny. They're not gonna take me serious the mighty take a skinny built like a fucking crackhead man. Who's gonna pay me? You entertained the whole crowd every game.
That's a great idea. But how skinny guy like me gonna hype up fifty people? Michael Blockson, You'll forget again. Don't underestimate your fame. You're the African king of comedy entertainment. If I'm on me on the football field, I want to play, you're gonna play doing What can you even kick? I play soccer as a kid, so I could kick something. I could kick, but don't let me kick the field goal because I'm not I can't kick accurately. I never scored,
but I could definitely kick the ball fast. And maybe I could be a good punter. But punter involves you lifting the ball up and kicking it with you. It's too much work, you know what. I'm just gonna stick with comedy. I appreciate it. Yeah, I don't think you should be a kicker because you're gonna end up kicking the ball through the quarterbacks eyeball, and that's it. Your whole season's over. So you win the Eagles, Michael Blacks and Eagles in a nine team and then I'm wearing
I'm wearing Eagles to I'm wearing a jersey. This is actually this is an authentic jersey to wear during the game. This jersey came from a very good friend of mine, Nelson Ago. Lord Lord. Let me tell it the story alg Lord cap All, first of all Super Bowl champion. He won a Super Bowl with the Eagles. The following season, you know, he didn't have such a great season, and then he became a free agent. The Raiders picked him up. He went to Oakland play his ass off. The thing
about this, well, I love best about the NFL. When you're a free agent and you got that one year contract and you play like you just received a hundred million dollars, that's when you are rewarded. Because he went to play his ass off, I mean, brooke his own records, you know, and it became a the agent again and now everybody want to pay you money and they end
up going too. Just signed with our new England for like two or three years for like very good money, like crazy money, like seven or ten million years something ridiculous. Oh my god. So shout out to Nelson, congratulate Nations. Yes, I have his jersey, actually signed it for me. Watch jersey straight from the game, straight from the game, unwatched brand new before the game jersey, and I also have one for another person with because I could think of
right now because I'm confused. But you know, it's all about sports now, you know, to get to become a player, to you know, Brady, to get to like, uh, who's the quarterback for the Chiefs homes you know, to get to become that press guy Zekiel Elliott, to become those great ones you know, Donaldson. It all starts where yeah, where does it all start? Starts from home. It's star from honestly right. To become a great player is stuffed from home. Disciplined at home. Listen to your parents or
whoever your guarden is. You know, all stuff from being disciplined as a young kid. You know, because football players, these kids have been playing this game for a long time. The only guys that have not been playing football for a long time that come here and end up playing in college or kids that come from overseas, like when I mostly Nigeria, you know, Nigeria kids Nigeria or that some of the few Africans that are born big. You know, Nigerians are just big size. You know, did you play
football when you wasn't play soccer? I played soccer back home when I was a kid. I played soccer mostly liber Aria where I was spent most of my African life was in Liberria, and I just played soccer there as a kid. The Nigerians are like, for some reason, they pick the bigger guys so they can come to America at like nine eighteen nineteen years or go to college and right away just boom boom the coach like, give me that big guy that don't speak much English.
He looks like it hits hard. And next you know a nidering guy. You know, so many of them I can think of their names right now. But you know, it goes from discipline at home and then of course these guys been playing things babies six years old all the way to like you know, elementary school to high school es. Yes, stop, it's a good, very lucrative sport, you know, but it's also probably the most dangerous sports
of all. You know, one thing I don't like by the NFL for sports so dangerous is the only sport that that money is not guaranteed. Only you're guaranteed to get is your signing bonus. So when you get a contract, your goal is to get as much money up front as possible, because if you go out there and break your leg from you're done for the rest of your life.
At least you're guaranteed that signing bonus, signing bonus. So, like I said, started from home and that too, high school to everything else, disciplined and your coach and listening and all of that. But to get into the NFL, you have you know, the number one place, the easiest way to get in the NFL is to get drafted by the NFL. Getting drafted. Not to get drafted, you know, you have to be good and also you have to go to a good school where to look at players from.
I mean, if you go to Alabama Ohio State, you're almost guaranteed to enter in the NFL. You could be the water boy on the Ohio State team or Alabama team. And when you're what a board, years are over most likely the NFL. What a board. How come they got a lot of potential NFL players and the program they have good program is the good coaching. I mean, you know, I've been Ohio State fan in recent years and because
you know, my family member end up going there. But prior to that, me being raised in Philly, you know, penn State was a school I rooted for. I rooted for penn State because it was my state school was in Pennsylvania. You know, Philadelphia's part of Pennsylvania, So rooting for Penn State and also Temple when they were you know, when they decided to play well, the Temple always had good basketball. Temple University wasn't really big in football, but
they're getting better with football. But Penn State was who routed for until my nephew went to Ohio State and I became a higher state fan. I even went up there a few times performing for the students, met they head coach me and had a great conversations. You know, I put on their rings. You know, I watched them
win the first college football championship. This happened in it was season when they came up with a college playoffs system where four teams make the playoffs right to play each other, and then the winners of the two the winners of the game playing the national Championship as a new playoff championship. And I think what I do believe and think that it should be more college playoff teams.
Four to me is so, I mean in the NFL, come on, it's like what eight players that you know, eight teams in each conference that makes the playoffs, and college just has a lot more and more teams than
NFL hundreds of teams. So I think that you extend extended playoffs to like at least eight teams, at minimum eight teams, you know, So hopefully I'm hoping that will happen that with other teams who have opportunities where he could have a number eight teams upsetting the number one team, and you know, you never know what will happen in the playoffs. You know, this week is NFL Draft this week, Mike, you have a blood line of an NFL player. Yes,
we're gonna bring them up later this week. Is you know, I don't understand. I don't even know where that blood came in, because this death wasn't in my blood. It must have been in his father's blood because my blood is like we but just all the guys in my family are like skinny as hell. We're all built like we all built like successful crack haads. And all the women are thinking in my family like all the women all think that the men are skinny, like look at me.
I have a body of a twelve year old lesbian. No disrespects to the lesbians that are built like me. But yeah, I'm built like a crackhead that made it with a kicker. You should have been a kicker. What I look like. You don't need muscles. I look like this four of me would make two field go pos okay. They put me on top of each other, they could
kick the ball right between me. Just hope nobody tackles you're kicking in or like my fans would say, they could use my gap to kick the field go okay and it will still be good regardless were kicking it from today's Like I said, this week is about the NFL Draft and our special guests. This week a football players. You know, I got two first round draft pick and then another guy might be a second or third round draft pick. But they of course they are from the
school that I rooted for the last seven years. Maybe when did my nephew go there? I think when they're like, oh, I've been ruining for them for the past as eight to ten years. I've been ruting for this team, you know, because get my family member a chance, you know, and trust me, get into a good college to play football is very difficult. And then all it just is that difficult. Then now trying to make it from that to the pros,
he's even more difficult. Wow, you know, So shout out to irber Maya, the ex coach of Ohio State, for giving my nephew chance. And then of course, you know, like I said, I was there. I watched him play. You know, he read shirt for a while. I think his first man year he read shirt and then he played his sophomore. He's pretty good, Mike. I've seen his highlights. Oh yeahs had a great grade college. He reminds me of you. He's fast. He's very fast, but on a
different way. You're very fast with the like nightclubs good. He cats balls in a field. You're catching women. You're pretty fast. You guys kinda have the same ability, Yes, we do, I mean very good catching women. He's he's intercepted a few balls in college and deflected a lot of balls. And I'm very proud of him. And this thing about the NFL, man is like, you're not guaranteed. You know, people you could be number one pick and
next you know you're not playing at all. You know, last thing in this league for over four years, you have accomplished something, you know, So shout out to him for still surviving in this league. But yes, it's all about draft this week. I want to know who are the future kids coming out? You know, when it's the right time for a kid to come out of college,
you know, if he feels like he's good enough. You know when it's a good time to come out, you know, and is sometimes you get out to come out too soon or you come out too late. Like you know, that's what it's all about today. So ladies and gentlemen, let's bring our guests on the show. My first guest is my nephew. Yeah. I don't know when his kid became bigger than me. I remember him as a very small, squinty little kid. In fact, his mother, who is my sister,
was so busy with college and working. At one point she sent him to Africa as a kid to spend time with his auntie, just to give his mother chance to finish school and work at the same time. And then he came back to the States, you know, probably like years old, and you know, went to a great school and varies, New Jersey, you know, end up playing football. I don't know why this all of a sudden, where this football thing came from. It all of a a sudden
he became like a great quarterback, you know. And how there maybe a couple of years, I don't remember. Yeah, he was there for a couple of years, and he could tell more about it, I don't. You know. He came out started playing football and like you know, I guess, like this is like middle school now and then and I think we got to high school. He played quasture quarterback and maybe cornerback. And then all of a sudden, at thirteen years old, the coach of a high state
before ever mine was there at third Oh. Yeah, these these college coaches look at these kids at years old, sometimes even younger. So he was already looked at it thirteen years old. At thirteen years old, he was already in the Ohio state ball guy. Yes, And then it went on and onting left to another end up in Ohio State. And you know, I remember going to a few of their bowl games. For the first ball game I went to, he was a rest shot freshman. He didn't play at all. And the following year he got
to play, and he just he was a beast. You know. So my little nephew, Apple was in the building in the house. And then my next guest, I have another guest also, there's another kid too that was like a big surprise, you know, he also played. My nephew was a quarterback who won them their first college playoffs championship game. You know, that was the first year they had a championship. This quarterback, he was the third string quarterback. Wow, third string.
Everybody got hurt. This guy was the third string quarterback. Nobody knew anything about him. We knew in the Ohio State, we knew they were done. They they went out at one. They one, the conference championship game, went to the playoffs beat Alabama. The playoffs ended up going to being Oregon in the national championship game. My boy called the Jones is head called Jones in the building. Then we have a more recent pick from my Ohio State. He was
also a first round draft pick from Ohio State. Actually met him just and he was in Hollywood, just vacationing right during COVID last year. Sometimes I hate vacationing. And I got to meet him. He had just been drafted into the NFL, drafted by the Raiders. One of the great cornerbacks of our ever. And look how this kid's gonna be one of the kids of the future. Damn on that tonight. Alright, let's bring our guys on, let's talk football. But I star studied event right here, Michael Blogson. Okay,
listen and gentlemen, give a big Infort Ohio State. One of the greatest players of our high stitts in the bill then today But yes, alright, fellows, this week is NFL Draft. We're gonna talk about the draft a little bit. You know, how are you state? Shout out to your school, how are your state? Right? What guys, go, guys in the building, damn it, you know, I got to watch. I'm not sure was you there when Eli was playing for real? So he was like a freshman. He's a
young punk, he's a young black. He was what what's the simber lanking? Yeah, he's that sim I'm thinking that it's like a position. He's as a cimber, Like, hey, get the cimber. Yeah, alright, so this week is a draft. I've always been curious to, like when do kids beside to leave the college and go to a pros? Like who makes the decision? Like who made a decision for you? Like? Was it you did? You felt like I care because you did. It's not like you did your whole four years.
You got out at a junior, right, you got early sophomore, so you have two years. So after you played two years, you was done. What made a decision that it was time for you to go? Is it you? You feel like you have accomplished everything you need accomplished? And yeah, I feel like I put out good enough film to be able to, you know, take my talent to the NFL and played two years, won the championship and then
we have finished off? Was it the bowl game? And I knew right before that that I wanted to, you know, go. I was talking about it when my parents agent already had all that lined up, but I wasn't really talking to anybody about it other than a couple of guys on the team. But yeah, okay, good talk. To them one second? All right, when did you? You got it early too? I did all far? Did you really? Oh wow? Okay, that's interesting that paid off? You did that? Five? You completed?
Did you get a degree? And what hi? Go seek? Motherfucker communication? What you guys got single? Well? I got a new single out y You and free Smoke on the Rise and Slide and folk singles? Actually? Okay, So what's your style of music? Is it like a southern were from originally Florida? Florida? Who What's Mover? Is a Kodak black? Yeah? He from Pumping but st Aria sat Maria? Who else? What tricked out? Daddy? Tricked Rick Ross? He from Miami though. Okay, it's a difference. All right? So
you did? You did? You completed? You finished college and made it the league so that your parents are proud. You got to agree they anything happened, you could at least communicate. I need to go get my degree. I never go pick it up. You gotta go and pick it up because I'm gonna tell you what happened. Because I was late to the graduation and they already called my name. So when I got there, they are already passed them out. And then I just went with a
random role and I forgot my damn at two. So I was looking, you know, so I just went up there and shook the hand take took a picture with the thing. But there is nothing in it because every passion they already passed it and I ain't know the man. No, they ain't give it to me. They got graduated. It's
a fishing. When I stuck out my patre on pages, non live, my weekly titty Tuosy and torking Thursdays a movie and supposed to be with the Patreon where they could no longer be sensor about the social media companies. I would also be sharing dully updates plus show announcements here first see you on Patreon. Your mother suckers. All right, man, you grabbed that, that did the whole you did the whole five years. It's bad though, because you were saying,
when did you know you was gonna leave? After my third year? Did? How many years did you play? I played boy? So after my I played Nickel, I started Nickel my red shirt freshman year, and then that next year after after everybody left, after my seawan left the league and Gary on, I was like, oh yeah, I'm next, like me and Denzel were out of here. You know what I'm saying. I was thinking about that all year.
Fun me up and then the next year I was like, yeah, I gotta be going after this year for you to like get out and be our draft pick. I mean, is it like you started hearing rumors that you people are looking at you? Yeah, and I know they know right here before articles before the season don't mean nothing. And I was taking that to my head like oh, yeah, I'm going, and I was going out there and not doing what I needed to do. You know what I'm saying. Knew you was out? Yeah, I just knew, and I
actually looked. I told I didn't fly like my fourth year when we had the rose Ball, I didn't fly back with the team because I told him I'm leaving. I came back to just get my stuff clean out my apartment. That ended up staying. Wow. The rose bol y'all played in Cali, right, I remember that? You know what you played on with it? Washington played Washington because you know, actually did a show because I know the rose Ball was here and it was a high State
against Washington. But then nigged me perform for Washington kids. They had the Washington students at the improv in Hollywood, and I'm like, what the highest I would go to high state before watching it, students. But that's a year that you was done. After that, after after the game, y'all win that ye didn't win the game? Yeah we won that game. Good, Okay, congratulations. We got a lot of champions here in. Mike called out, you gotta get this, Mike, motherfucker.
The Cinderella story don't start with me. Christian all right, so I remember you know your third string quarterback, meaning like everybody gotta be hurt. I mean, you are the quarterbacks that I'll be broken. Legl Brooken Fielder got on the media. I mean, this is what the chances of everybody getting hurt. Braxton got hurt, right, was the first one, and after that JT got hurt. That just I mean, that's that's that's God doing his work. That's God's work.
When when there's your time, you know, guy got knocked a couple of niggas out the way. Not just respecting Braxton, all my homies, you know what I mean, I'm like, what the chances of two quarterbacks getting her back to back to put this guy in right, And I know when they called your name, he's like, you guys want some water. I think they're calling my accident. Well somebody said it pregnant about one of my names. Wow, I just helping on your friend. How many years where you're
in the league before you before many years? I was there at the house State before before you play that before there that point. It was my going into my third season, so I was there two and a half years. So funny how the opportunity to play unfortunately due to injuries.
But yeah, and the rest is history. Man, But you're right when they called my name, I was, you know, I just I was actually watching the game on a jumble try and the game is delayed, so the jumble trying to have it, so he already down on the fields. I'm seeing the delay. So everybody calling me and I'm looking at the play and it's like it's like about a half a second to second delay and I'm just Halingchigan, Michigan. Yeah, that's where all started. Wow, hold that what's that? Which
game did I go through? Was cold as hell? That was Michigan State game I went and I was State yea, yeah, yeah, alright, so you called you to play in this game, right, were you guys? Down? We were? It was still a tight game. I think we were maybe up by maybe one or two points or something like that, so it was still a lot of game laughing, and still the
whole fourth quarter. So we was at a point, definitely in the fourth quarter where we're trying to put him away, to put the game out of reach at least two scores. And I remember, man, my first past man, I probably threw it to the cheerleaders, so freaking nervous and stuff like that, and it's just like, oh, man, just just run them a little bit, get the jitters out and stuff like that. That's what happened, and I think we
go forward on. I think it was like fourth down, maybe fourth and two to three, right around Midfield's pretty much sell the game and freaking Zeke taking to the house, I mean forty fifty yards for touchdown, you know, pretty much seal the game and there clearing the defense held it down to keep him out the end zone, and should we went on beat them and then the Big Ten championship game, then Sugar Bowl the championship, right, all right, so you guys have lost one game that season. Who
ya lost? We lost the home open to Virginia Tech, and yeah, that was that was a tough one day. They came out I think the first i'll say home opening that they lost in over like ten fifty years too. It wasn't fixed, brother, wasn't no, no, no, he's wed no no no. I don't know the quarterback, but it wasn't.
It wasn't now all right, And then we went on and I remember that, uh, Wisconsin, when I knew you guys were playing Wisconsin, I knew it was a rap because Wisconsin is like with it, like number they were at that time. Yeah, they were favorite one. I think they were a favorite every game we went into that game that the next three games we were on the
dulged by tim plus points. And at the time, Wisconsin had the number one statistically defense in the country, and then they had the best running in that country as well as y'all was average and Nevin Worner's average you know, to thirty rushing or something like that. Crazy all right, but yeah, man, we just went out there and put it on them. Y'all did it, man, And then after that I became a believer. After that because I knew that was one of the Wisconsin was gonna be over. Yeah,
when y'all be Wisconsin. I met my sister who was Elie's mom, like, hit they are going She told me that many playoffs. Yeah, yeah the frest year. I'm like, I couldn't believe because I thought even though y'all beat them, I still didn't think it was gonna pick you guys to go to be the top four. Yeah, because we went into that game as number six, number six overall, and then uh so you had to think TCU and
Baylor at four and five. So at the time Big twelve didnt play a championship game, so they were off that weekend. And the whole argument is like, okay, well TCU Baylor they both split a game, and who were going to get the number four spot? Then they weren't even talk about the number six team. Clearly us, especially after we losing our starting the quarterback. So we go out there, you gontry it was number six, Yeah yeah, yeah, So we go out there and be, you know, number
one defensive. Ticually, I think Wisconsin was maybe top ten somewhere there at that point, so that kind of gave us the upright to jump them from six to get into the top four. And yeah, went up there and kick ass. Yeah yeah, I mean it was a score like donut. Yeah. Yeah, but that I mean, yeah, we had a great offense, and we played good on offense.
But like I said before, in our defense, we shut down the Heinzman hopeful at the time, and then we got on to play, you know, the following two games against the other two guys who was at the Heisman Trophy ceremony and the guy who wanted Marcus Mariota that year, and our defense is completely shut those guys down for you know, below average of what they usually was getting per game. Yeah, I was dead. I want to both. Um, I went to New Orleans for that What boy was
that called? That's right when you guys when used you guys played Alabama, My guy, at one point, you guys were down by ten points or something like that. Ye, down two scores time. Yeah, but I mean from them beginning, Yeah, from the beginning of that game, we never felt like and elach Can attested this, we all gained them by like I want to say, yeah, we had we had
almost four hundred yards in the first half. They you know, our defense was holding down they had I think Alabam had maybe around a hundred and fifty hundred and sixty and we as offense got into the red zone, we stalled twice, we set up for field goals. So we put our defense in tough positions. But we knew we could play with these guys, even know that one team in the country, and quite frankly, we feel like we was better. And then, like I said, we came out
of second having pretty much shut him down. Got you. And then he goes to the champion again. I remember, Man of dollars, You guys won that game. Lebron came out with everybody means, yeah, it's crazy, yeah, yeah, yeah, because another freaking tall tasks for the defense they was playing against high some trophy winner. So I talked about these guys coming out. eLife felt when he knew he won the championship. He also, I think that your last game,
I think you was defensive player off the game. Congratulations and then game and you played all your five years, you knew you already knew your name was next, you know what I mean? So all right, you yeah, you all you play those three games, four games or three three big one that you started from beginning to the end. Kick everybody ass. I mean you was flawless, right, I mean, you haven't played a lot in the league that nobody knew nothing bad about you. All they know is how
you just know how to win. Exactly why you didn't come to out? Yeah what happened? I mean after that year we won the championships. It was just such a small sample safe, which was good, and that mentally, I wasn't really prepared to come out and you know, take my time to the NFL and have opportunity to finally provide for my family and kind of live out my dream because it was so much stuff. I was still learning about myself and being a quarterback and being a starter.
You know. I was kind of throw into that position, you know, and rightfully so because of injuries. But me personally, I mean, you know, the critics and thinks people gonna look back and say, why do you come out? He probably would have made more money better drafting stuff like that, but I know me, I would have went to a situation where I would have had to have been forced to play and start early and probably not take it
as well. If I was a little more mature at the time, So was this is your decision, your coach's decision, your mother, It was mine decision. It was kind of tough because that year it pushed the season back two weeks because of the playoff game and the championship, so
it pushed your season back two weeks. So usually after the season when you had the BCS ERA where the number one and number two team they played one game early January, and then you get two and a half weeks to decide as a player if you want to come out or not. So the processes and these guys know that you put your name in and see what type of pick you would be, and that's how you
determine if you want to come out or not. Did you Yeah, but I had two days to decide after the National chanpship because they didn't push in the NFL, they got it right after that year. They didn't push back that deadline of win. Players can commit or pretty much put their name in for the draft now and it's like late January when a championship game is played early January. But like I said, at that time, it was the first year of the playoff system, so it
was still early January. So literally after the game, clear the team and celebrating, we're flying back. The next day, I'm getting my phone is blowing up. I'm getting questions in the press council next morning, are you gonna go to the NFL? Like I gotta think about it, like, oh, well, you got a day and a half just like what like I'm trying to like I'm trying to go back to clubs and help design the National Championship ring, you know, and stuff like that, so that it wasn't prepared to work.
You put your name in this hat? Is that? Yeah? You get a grade? Yeah, you get a grade back you put your name in Yeah. So when you put your name in there, what great did you get? Like abc D like top ten? What do you think it's great? First? You know? Or just don't put your name in there. They'll basically just tell you if you're gonna go first, second round, ll tell you you know, if you're gonna yeah.
So you never got a chance to find out, no, because when you put your yeah, when you put your name. But even if, like I said, even if, I mean, but it wasn't a strong quarterback class that year. Because the two guys think about this, James Wilson, and Marcus Mario. I literally don't know who else is in that class, so I'll potentially have been the number three quarterback in
that class and potentially first round. But even if I put my name in, had the time to dissect it, I still personally think that I was still came back to school. Yeah, because also I wanted to finish my degree. To motherfucker. Yeah, I mean so we all high resulted. Do you regret not point your name down? Yeah? Uh not really. I don't regret it or regret le even because, like I said, mentally, I mean, the money would have been better, but mentally I wasn't ready here ready. Okay,
what do you think? What do you think about that? Sir? Do you think he should have got out? I would have been up through Yeah, the moment we won, I would have knew. I would have been fine because I know I'm gone. It was you didn't get to play Watson at all that yet? Did you? You said Watson was one of Jamimes Winston was the number one? Marcus Mariota, Yeah, who was it? That was up? Marcus Mariota, James Wilson,
that was it. I can't even mean I'm pretty sure it's all the good quarterbacks your but I can't think of my head. There's only two they would take up, right, Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, Watson was about two years you came, but yeah after you know, you came out of the same year before him. Yeah, yeah, after we was. I'm a year older than but we all left school. We need to go to the draft the same got you got you. You don't feel injuries. Mr car know Andrew, he just said he felt like
he felt he played three games that was it. But you know I played I played a month of college football three years, that was it. A month and a half. Hey, but you could have still stole still still some money. Yeah, I mean, now you know, the biggest in history pick games and be called fith pick fifth pickers, like guaranteed twenty million dollars at least at least you know you half that gonna be guaranteed. Unless you're cracking or gambler. That could last you the rest of your life if
you did your money right. Yeah for sure, honey, right, you know, but at the end of the day, when you die, you're not gonna take this money with you. So it's not about being mentally prepared for whatever it is. It's like it's sting entertainment, you know, but honestly do with football is so physical and then you know you're not guaranteed the next game because you can break something.
So I mean, my advice to the you know, the new kids are out there, are gonna be coming out when that because the only thing with college college, especially like running backs, you know, I mean, this guy played fucking every year, four years he played. By the time you get to leave, your body is already hurting you already. Don't sacrifice, you are play your ass off, you know, and got no money. So now you got the NFL.
You know, even though you're rookie, you've been playing five six years straight, you know, but you already played three games you could have stole some money for. Yeah, I mean the money definitely would have been better than getting drafted the following year in the fourth round. But still I still think I was way more mature and ready to take on a lifestyle to be an NFL quarterback. You know, I was, still, like I said, learning how
to be a college quarterback. Now you telling me I gotta take another jump to learn how to be an NFL guy, and you don't have as many safe havens around you when you take that jump to the NFL, and the guys is going to really tell you how to do certain things. Because I was going going into
a situation where I had to start right away. That's when your first top quarterbacks when to go to you, right and me trying to piggyback off another guy that he drafted me to replace him probably wouldn't have been great vice versus. The following year, and I get drafted to a team where they had a veteran quarterback, Tyrod Taylor, and he know I didn't have I really wasn't a threat to his position. He can really in a way
groom me, take me under his wing. And then being out here in Cali wood Field, he know I wasn't a threat for an injury, no steal my teammates. The end of the day, man, Yeah, you just want to be in a position where I learned from a veteran
guy who's doing on a high level. So at the end of the day, you made this decision not to get out after you want all the games and beat you even beat the guy that being number one pick, right, me, big Mariota, you know, all right, so you stayed and just you know, hey, your school wasn't very happy with that. I'm sure, I'm sure they're all happy. But then you
come and I remember that season. That season was not what you expected to be the following season, the following season where he was pretty much sacrifice twenty million dollars to come back and you know, of course to learn more about football and make your school happy because like
you know, they felt like the winners again. Yeah, yeah, we know, we definitely had the opportunity to win a thing again because I mean, all the guys that came back, you know, and Eli was young at that point, but you know, that fifteen season and then you know Damie coming in and being a part of the seven grade. We had still fourteen guys drafted off that team. You know,
in the first four rounds. We were definitely loaded with talent, but we had one slip up versus Michigan State that you know, you know, they kept up from planning in the playoffs in the National Championship game, which where we crushed everybody else. But so even though we wanted Fiesta Bowl and be a really good Notre Dame to It was still a letdown for us personally because we know we should have been in the playoffs and we would have smacked where we were playing, and you know, playing
that championship. Gain who the Clemson when that year was it? Uh? I think Alabama? Alabama one that year? Yeah, they because they think they be what they mean, Oh, they beat they beat Michigantate in playoffs like thirtiesthing zero right, and then then they beat Clemson in the championship. That was crazy. Remember that? Yeah? Alright, um, Mike, I think they o Cardeff Jones, Ohwio State. Nah, Well, they want the first playoffs championship ever, so they you know, they started at
off and that's why. Yeah, the first half was the first playoff game ever where number four beat number one with the number one. Yeah, number four beat number one. That's why. That's why I said, I think that you have give more colleges more playoffs, get more opportunity that number one play number eight. I think four. It's so, I mean, that's tough though you asked for more playoff game and you ain't paying these kids. Yeah, that's true
that I'm getting hurt. Yeah, and you shrink that time down a spring ball, because now you you ask for eight games, eight teams, you pushing the season back another potentially month, month and a half, and now that's less time to recovery. You're ready for your spring ball one season. Yeah, if you end up number five, you pissed the funk up, won't you? Yeah? You n five in the drive if
you have and walk out with no injuries. But I mean meaning like number five on like if the people you're picking four and if you if your team is, oh yeah, you still have better to keep nobody happy because if you push it to eight teams, nine and nine and team will be pissed. Oh we should have got you up. Yeah, let's talk about tournament. These guys are want of bulls. What's so your advice your advice for kids coming out, don't do it for the to
be mentally prepared or what I think? I think you got your I think at the end of the day, whatever your goal is and whatever that's going to motivate you to take that jump, make sure it's yours not someone else's. Like you can't let your coach, your parents, or anyone else put the pressure on you to do something that's gonna benefit them. Hey, that you just did. But he gave me his input on why I should come back. I mean, I take that with a grain of salt, and I listened to a matter of respect.
Less about of respect. If you would have told you get out, you that got out. No, I mean I still had. I still got my own. If you just said get out because I'm recruiting somebody, I know my guy is gonna come here and I'm starting him no matter what you have left. But if you just said get out because I think you're ready to that, yeah, he can think all you want, but I only want to know what I want, how I feel, or what I think about You want to be a better quarterback
exactly exactly. I understand that. That's like amateur comedian going to do a test win a contest, right, and he only needed like fifteen minutes because all the nigger has his fifteen minutes of material, he win this contest all of a a side. It's a big one hour competition next week. I'm not ready for that. Yeah, don't put me in that. Yeah, because you want to go embarrassing. You felt like he
wasn't mentally ready exactly for quarterback. I haven't even played I played three, Like I said, played a month and a half in college football. That's a different NFL sixteen games, that's a sixteen game season. Having a routine and a body routine. They're probably Mike, you're still gonna be a rookie. You's still gonna You're not gonna start anyway. Well, position on the left after that top fives, you're going somewhere. That team that lost a lot of games because of
the quarterback, you're probably gonna play fairly. So he probably ended up like Jet some right, depends on what they had in time. But yeah, something like that. I got as a team that's gonna have an early pick that's most likely ready to rebuild because all these early picks. You look at these early picks in the league, what they're doing. They have new coaches or got rid of everybody, and they rebuilding and starting over whatever. You so you
felt like you wasn't ready for NFL? No, yeah, exactly, mentally, not mentally. What's up, Mother Saw Guys, this is African King of comedy, Michael Blackson. I'm here to ask you a question. But Mike, I heard that his coach in the college, his college state, Ohio State, became an NFL coach. Now, yeah, Jacksonville. Don't you think because I know he doesn't have a dealing
for him right now? Yeah? Yeah, don't you think he owed you? Yes? You always say I think I wouldn't say owes me or feel it that ship? What's that guy say? Yeah him, They're like, hey, what do you think about that day? Yeah, quarterback? Correct, I'm about to say you owe him for at least coming back and then not getting out early, at least for him on the team, right guaranteam ye owe me too, though, But my honest opinion, people know I ain't I'm gonna say
what I want. I feel like you should hit his grass up and be like cold, come on, I remember you told me you won't didn't think already. I thought I already, but you I came back for you and the damn team help me out. Yeah, I definitely, I definitely coming from And me and him spoke about you know,
I'm still living and stuff like that. Yeah, that the House state protest and we spoke and I mean, you say, you keep you know, my name and mind and things like that, because they got some decision to make that quarterback, but clearly they go take you know, a quarterback number one in the draft. But that would be I mean, that would be sweet. I would think, you know, as a human, I would think that would be um naturally right.
You know that you got experience with a guy like me, and we want together before to at least have you on your saying be a guy, at least have you, you know, have me on your team and stuff like that. But that would be sweet. But we'll see, we'll see. Yeah, I'll let your boy. But though I wouldn't want to be in a position where he doing it just a favorite, do it like you believe? I mean, I can be this guy one day card. So we'll see we agree.
Translator translate that. Yeah, how about agree? Transtaying what are you saying, give me a fucking job man, that's do Yah? Yeah. So I don't know. I just think, I mean, this supports is so physical. The least amount of time you and it to me, that better it is, you know, and you know now you make it to the league. The other trick is staying in the league another You know,
you become a first round draft pick. You almost guaranteed those three or four years whatever we sund for like four years for your first years, four years, right, right, right, So you guarantee that four years when your first round draft pick? Is that true? Your contract is based on four years. You're not guaranteed guaranteed contracts. There's no guarantee year wise, it's just guaranteed money dear wise. Yeah, it's no guaranteed year. That's the rid of guys before their contract.
I mean the guy at the Jets two years ago, rookie first round pick got cut in camp. There's a line of thinkers from out of nothing, got from outabam. It was a d lineman though, but he had like four instant who wasn't this year. The guy got drafted. Okay, he got drafted to the Jets and last April and they cut him before the season he started because he had three or four issues, major issues off the field. So he signed a four years. Yeah, I don't know,
I don't know. I forgot the guy's name, but he signed. Yeah, you signed down line at four years X the amount of money. And this is not But you know when they get rid of you, Yeah, they're gonna they gonna take a hit of the salary cap and pay your money up front right then and there. It might hurt them, but it's better for them in the long run as a team. Cut throats, cut throats for what three games you gotta be out? You could have made the first
nigg been three games. Admit into the league. Yeah, first round pick, even if it's tent pick. Kids pick up twenty million dollars ten million guarantee, and you're good for life if you don't want to smooth cracking your game. But yeah, yeah, but staying in the league is another thing. It's seem like, if he's staying healthy, you got it's a certain way you gotta play to stay healthy, because I mean, the team give you all this money, millions
of dollars. You know, you gotta go out there and give them all you have, right, Yeah, you gotta make him proud. Like how you stay I mean, I'd be tough staying healthy, because I don't remember any of you are staying healthy this point. You got hurt. Everybody gets hurt. Oh well, these does that they played in the league, so well, I never had a really real opportunity to really other than preseason games, you know, get banged up a little bit sort of injuries and must and stuff
like that. But elon, they Rico, they dealt with real injuries that you know, they had to rehab and stuff like that. So that's a question for them. Yeah, what kind of injury you have? Sound good right now? But I had broken my Yeah I'm good. I ain't got no injuries. But I had a broken risk my senior year of college and then broke my thumb this pad in camp and everything. But so how do you break you broke your risk senior in college. They're still drafted
you after that because I played. I didn't missed no game. I broke my wrist. I broke my wrist and it was just I broke it in practice trying to punch at the ball. Uh, and then it was just hurting. I was just like, ah, you feeling. They kept on the what's wrong? I said, I don't know, it was just But then after like the third game, it kept on hurt and got got an X ray and it was broken. So I waited until the bye week to get surgery, and I just chilled that bye week and
then I was good for the next week. They just had a cast on it. When you're young, you could do that. You hit forty years old and they can slap me. I'm done for young guys breaking a wrist and two weeks later you're back fronted. And then broke my thumb though, because my wrist was still weak. I broke my thumb in camp with thes I like fractured it, and then three games into the season, I fell on it and dislocated the fracture. So then I was out like seven Yeah, right now, like a good season. Man,
That one game I got really pissed. The Dolphins game that pissed me off. Man. Man, let's talk about Ohio State State. The thing about it going to a college like Ohio State, where ya just went all the time defense are sported. Will support you man, y'all just win every time. I don't remember seeing way I lost morning, I lost two games. What season was there? I remember it don't happen last year. I lost one game last ship right, well he wasn't there. But they only played
like eight games this season. Now they went defeated like on like seven year undefeated. But they they lost in shoot I think eleven tween levels. The last time it was more point game was seven seven did at seven games? Yeah, I mean that was that year. They was coming off like a major scandal with players before them that like the quarterback at the time, twenty eleven, the senior in
high school. Yeah, yeah, that's wait before you guys got there's wait before It was a year before I got there, and we was on probation because of what they did was getting late. Y. No, they were selling member billion. I don't know what they're done, but they was selling mem abilious, some things that you wanted, bowl games, stuff like that. They were selling what you can't do until you've done with school. And they got caught up with
all that crap. So it costed them. You know, four or five major players the quarterback of the time, they running back the receiver, and it cost the head coach, shoot everybody, even the water point. Yeah, the water boy got chalked to. So yeah, it cost all those guys eligibility and the opportunity to plug. So they had to play the season with their defensive coordinated as the head coach and they had young they had they was forced to play these young guys that just came in as freshman.
Braxon Miller was a freshman time, the freshman quarterback, and a couple of young guys that major positions, and you know, it's just tough when you're young and and you got a new coach and trying to learn how to be a college student in the college athlete on top of being forced to play. So they they lost seven games that year, and then ever since then they haven't lost
more than one in the season. So now I know after you left, after you because when with Buffalo, when you got something, I got drafted Buffalo, and when I draft you, when you're like in the fourth round with me said two years, I was there a year and a half, you I got traded the following off season, you got traded to them, and then charged up and then how long you charges you and a half or so two years, two and a half years. So you did your four years? Well three so you got it.
We want card about I know what you do? We do four years when you story three your three years of the pitch, it's three years on the actor roster for three games, so you gotta be on an active roster for so yeah, I got I got my pench and actually so I mean, yeah, that's a great accomplish. I mean it sounds crazy to be played three years in NFL, of being a rost for three years, it's a milestone in great accomplishment because your average career is
a year and a half. But I mean, like I said before, they might go to get the pens and I'm trying to really have a career. Yeah, yeah, for sure, because you went into the XFL. Yeah exactly, fucking had actually just doing good and all of a sudden this corona just had to show up right ways happening to
our friend Gardell Jones all the time. You could have got after three games and got twenty million out of us, you didn't get out, and then he made us through that you came round pick played twenty a half years, went to the xfil fucking by the winning championship with XTRA, and this fucking bitch got called Corona nineteen show up. Oh everybody like that's stuff like that and makes you a strong person, you know, And I'm guarantee you have
to have a team for the season's over. I mean, but you know, the virus screwed up everybody in different aspects of life. But I'm pretty sure these guys went through it with not having an off season last year in the lead and trying to find a way to stay in shape. Because you can work out and train all year round and all that crap to try to stay in shape for football, But ain't no simulating getting tackled or tackling somebody or getting up off that ground.
You know. This ain't like basketball. You have a lockout with the virus, you can go to gym and really get better. The way you get better in football is you gotta play it. So I can only imagine how tough it was for these guys to not have preseason, not have a real off season program, especially coming to a new coach, especially coming to the rookie and being thrown in the fire. Hey, Okay, now we got the
team together. We're playing two weeks. Let's talk about groupies. Yeah, what kind of group I was telling everything we do, you're trying to get the poor pis get the micro um. I was telling my guy the other day. I said, everything we're doing this word believe it or not doing for women. Everything is for women. Okay, we get a nice cock when you put a girl name with a nice for the lady everything. See, that's why you gotta get around women who do everything for you. Yeah, where
do you find those women? There's nothing in the world, sir, we're doing and we know being an entertainer, athletes, we're all targets. Yeah. So you know my advice as a veteran in entertainment because you have to you're still entertainers. You know. It's how you deal with stuff like that. You know, how do you avoid it? Because just you gotta look at yourself as a talking like everybody's is trying to get something out of you. So you just gotta watch how you carry yourself. I'm donna give you
my advice to get me. You know, how you carry yourself when you surround yourself around the type of women you with, you know, And it's hard. It's hard that to find the real women that are there for you and you could trust and believe and not knowing ten years later they're gonna say you touched the nipples or whatever. You know, so you gotta be careful with that, you know. I mean, what do you guys thoughts on that? I mean, how this whole me two things going and how you
guys dealing with stuff like that? How do you handle it? How you do? Like, I just gotta be trusting that Pameler? How many good friends do you have? Mr? Readers? He's come miss the Raiders? Wrong with you many? Asking my man Rico? How many girls? Yeah? They all got a chain on us. Hey, as long as you know they're respectful, you'll respect for each other everything. You know, you feel safe with them. That's not the matth man, you know, because you know, you gotta have women that you gotta trust.
You know. They always say the snow bunnies, I don't want to get in trouble? Is that tree? The snow bunnies don't want to sit on you guys? What's going on? Yeah? What's going on? I feel like if the snow bunny it's snitching on you. Then you did it? Man, what do tell me? Story? I mean, just just like the podcast, people can't hear you. Please don't love it, just go. I guess you're saying, like, just you know, just good.
We could pick up a vibe. If somebody's gonna be crazy and wants you to pick it up, you just that's good. You just gotta be you. Just gotta be transparent. I don't known you don't sell dreams, that's with me. I don't sell no type of limes, none at all. That's good. You know how to pick your women. And if you catch crazy right away, get rid of crazy. But get rid of crazy in a very safe, intelligent way. Don't be like fucking bit or call me no more
and be like hey, how are you doing. Everything's good, just checking up on you and eat your way off. You see I'm crazy. You gotta have somebody else tell them so it's like somebody ever bring it back to you, Like, man, I don't even talk to her in this long You gotta have somebody. What's that witness? Always that where I'm telling you, I know how to do this. Okay, Mike, there's nine crazy women in this world. That's a very hard for it. And another advice from OG to you guys.
And I told my nephew, Dot said, whenever you are with a woman, just make sure when she leaves that night, all that morning, walk up to the elevator, give up. Hug cameras, always watching. I ain't no woman's gonna come and tell you ten years later you raped it. I'm like this, you look at the camera, hug you, hug
rapers Texas, smarty face hearts. Don't get Mike, don't get her at least whatever you're gonna say, at least have yourself some you know, you have your own witness cameras, phones, you know, protect yourself at all times, you know what I mean. That's my advice to you guys. Just be careful because you're target. You know a lot of thirsty, broke women out there. They're looking for come up. So you know, just be careful then, so don't get don't
get watching. What's that? That's when you can come from my side, you know what I mean? When I side, you know, I feel so bad for him, So feel so bad for him because it's like, you know, I don't want to get into that. That's a whole another show, you know. But you guys, I mean, I wish you a lot of luck on you know, Raiders is d on the street. I'm definitely coming check you out. And that for my nephew, now he's in Cincinnati. My good buddy over there was that crazy dude, craziest guy that
ever played corner back for the Pagos. He don't play anymore money money, no fucking many blackmaid Jones. My buddy, you just don't smoking the weed with that nigga. Okay, that's what my advice. You don't go there is here. He said you gotta figure out house, sensing you gotta fig house and says he always doing the party. Okay, you are ain't Vegas. Stay off the black jack tape. You gamble. No, I got poken out at the house though we got I got Netway books's new he's communication
maor Mike. All right, don't get involved with gambling. You're just that A lot of names is going broke. Just I don't want to see your niggas go broke. Please, Gambling, drugs and women will make it go broke. So pick your poison. Just picking women. Okay, that's a lot of contations. Vegas is very tempted. Just whatever do you stay with from gambling? If you're doing some ship at home with your homianes and and nothing going crazy with no thousand dollars,
that's good. I would name a whole bunch of players that are brooke right now, you know, from gambling, So just staying with from gambling, gamble and I won't put this you on anybody. So, but you'll never win, Mike when you're gamble. Yeah, but I'm only losing a couple of hundred dollars, not that bad. Yeah, you're right. So, yeah, you gamble two when it sup you like gamble? You gamble. I put in your bits. I ain't getting on in the work. I got some mad. I got so mad
at the sports bet that I just quit. Yeah you give. I just feel like you know we would you lose a sports baby, like it's it's rigged. I mean when you win, ain't never never really need your money here. You think it's real, you think it's read. I'm like, how like bron James score thirty every game? Now he's gonna score he got paid? How he has like a hundred billion dollars And who's gonna pay a little brother to lose the gate. Yeah, I mean I blamed the
brown a few times. I blamed Kyrie Suckers camp the My advice and begin, but don't do it. It's never go in good. You never win. Your house always wins. The reason why I work the casino lights always that's right, and lights. You never consider the lights of video. I just found out the money you win from from game because I'm doing taxes and ship that you get tests for that. Yes, you do win, so that's what you
gotta do. Yeah, when you win, what you gotta do as you always you don't go to the casino, do right. You gotta go to some money, right, so it gates you win big. I think it's right around nine and I must hand like a gambler here, but I have a game, so it's the right around. It's right around like ten thousand, plus you pay taxes, so what you gotta do all of us win. I just want ten
thousand dollars. I'm giving you two thousands and go cash here for me giving you two thousands and cashing for me giving So it's just like that, so you know they don't track it. That's what it's taxes. But when you go cashing the big chips over a certain amount but taking informention getting taxed for it. But if it's like, you know, two three dollars, they're not running the cameras to see right. Yeah, but that's how you no serious, that's how you get away. That's how you get around it.
Because after a certain amount they want to make sure. So if you go to the casino and cashing ten thous the chips, they're gonna go running cameras to make sure you want all that for one. But if it's like two three thousand, four thous dollars, they okay, he won four thollars when this machine, Mr Card play it
putting my money in the machine I'm playing. Yeah, yeah, I'm playing the game that I think I control either blackjack because you control the cut or you can mess up the deck with a hit already don't or crap so you hopefully you got a good rest. Yeah, I don't think the big blocks. I hate that. Yeah backrop yeah yeah. Then when you go three thousand dollars, they
don't give an about you don't. I don't care because it's what's crazy about it, Like you think you lose that much money, at least you can write it off. But if I win that much money on getting TAXI, you can't write that off. No, you lost, But if you win that now we're taxing. It's crazy. That's all right.
