Max Holloway absolutely showed out last night, defended that BMF championship and deserves all the credit in the world. For Dustin Poirier, he put on a vintage performance win or lose and retiring in a way that few still do, while fighting the best at the top of the division. Credit to the UFC for handling this one well, but of course it couldn't be done without the incredible career of Dustin's. What a fight, what a career, what a legend.

These are the stories of fighters like Max Holloway would destroyed literally everyone not names Alexander Volkanovski for years and years or Cormier vs Jones, Benavidez vs Demetrious Johnson. Jon Jones just retired on Saturday night in the most disapointing way any champion has ever walked away. GSP and Khabib retired in their primes, where most champions at least had an understandable collapse over many years due to aging out of their prime. Jones on the other hand decided to throw up a middle finger at the fans, the division, the sport and even himself. This is the most disgraceful exit of a UFC champion ever.
Some of these MMA/UFC rules are incredibly stupid, some of them are just poorly thought out despite the best of intentions. Either way literally every single regulation here was a massive fail and it meant the exact opposite of what was intended actually happened.
