Mister Ron's Basement #901
Max Adeler (Charles Heber Clark) wrote some of the funniest stories of all time, yet he was almost embarrassed by them, and preferred to write about economics. From his 1876 book 'Elbow Room -- A Novel Without a Plot,' we hear and see some disturbing goings-on aboard a train coming back from the Horse Race Track in 'The Races and Some Other Things.'
