Episode description

Sat, Sep 15 2007 Mister Ron's Basement #848 SUNDAY SALAD presents TWO Stanley Huntley stories about death (sort of). In the first, a widower discusses his wife's burial services with the editor of the newspaper in 'The Bottom Facts About the Funeral' from 1882, then Mr. and Mrs. Spoopendyke have a wacky political discussion in 'A Dead Lock' from 1881. This story is a shining example of the classic comic character of Mrs. Spoopendyke, undoubtedly an influence on on Gracie Allen, years later.
