The old Life Magazine (the humor magazine) held a contest in 1916 looking for the best 'Shortest Stories.' The 81 best of those tales were collected in a book called 'Short Stories from Life." This week we will be reading some of the best of the best. Today, the cleverest detective on the force matches wits with a beautiful, yet dangerous female thief in 'A Clever Catch' by Lloyd F. Loux.
