Mister Ron's Basement #1060
TEXAS SIFTINGS was an enormously popular weekly newspaper created by Alexander E. Sweet and John Armoy Knox in 1881. In 1882, they published a book collecting some their best material, which we will be reading from starting this week.
Today we feature the book's Preface and a look at the man who runs the trains -- 'The Conductor.'
