Luke 24:36-49. After the resurrection, Jesus tells his disciples that his death happened according to the Scriptures. In that moment, Jesus is helping them understand that there is a story to the atonement a story that we to need to understand.
1 John 4:7-21 - Christ's death on the cross is the perfect snap shot of God. Every other metaphor, story, image we are looking at is an expression of love that transforms us and makes us a people.
