Jeanne de Valois - Saint - Rémy

We were asked by our handful of fans -- “are you only going to talk about Indian women??” And to that we say -- “well… we were going to, but also we need to keep the content flowing.” So here is a French woman instead, all the way from the late 1700s. Jeanne forged the signature of Queen Marie Antoinette and successfully stole a diamond necklace, worth about $15 million today. When she got caught, she decided to talk smack about the Queen instead. A jolly good time was had by all, except for the royal family. They were beheaded a bit later, for other reasons.
