You. Ladies and gentlemen, look at you chat already chatting, welcome. Good evening. Good morning, good afternoon. Or good, whatever. You have, whatever, whatever day time of day, it is, and wherever you are, have a good one, hope you're having a good one. Fantastic. Intros. I love these intros so much. It's really, they're all just for me.
I have this new thing. Well, new relatively new where, I just like, I like just watching those Stock footage is the 1920s and 30s and up to like the 1970s after that it kind of gets a little bit. But yeah, I just I just love just kind of Put me at very, it's very peaceful. It's very, you know. I don't even say somber because it's just, I have a joy from it. So it really is like, Harmon Lopez, which is like joyful sorrow. Somewhere in the middle there. The combination of the two.
We got Witte, kiss, we got moldy Apple. I got, I see Dawn. Oh my goodness. Oh, we see, who else? We see the Hilo candy cane moldy. I mentioned you before, not. She twice, moldy. Good to see you. Good to see you, folks. We're here to celebrate the Feast Day of blessed deserved from Rose. Those who don't know. It was a hero monk American hero, Monk. Many believe that he is on his way to sainthood. I believe the The Serbian Church. Is making moves towards that in
that direction. So, quite soon, hopefully, possibly, we can ask lesson Sarah for Moe's Saint server Rose. Hopefully to pray with us. but, By the way, he he was proposed today. If it was what 40 or 45 years ago, he was proposed or his brought back to to King of our Lord and in the early 80s. So we'll be doing a little bit celebration of that reading at the world right now. If you go to Desert world.com, this is the creator of this fine shirt.
And inspiration for much of the art and logos and all the rest of you see on the show. Um, because I'm also quite big fan of their work, you can go to death of the world.com and you can get their article number two, which will be reading selections from today. It's a free to free digital download. You can do that during during blessed Sarah from feast day, because they are also quite
inspired by by the good father. So Much of their work centers around him, and his writings, and his teaching and, and so on and so forth. So, you know, they're really one of the ones who popularized father from Rose saying, it's later than you think. Or is the full quotas Brothers. It is later than you think. Hence Sorry Hason, therefore to do the work of God. so, A quite an impactful man. Some of his great writings about not with his book.
Nihilism which I've said, repeated on the show has been was a was a big inspiration for me. And many of my thinking's the orthox survival guide. There's a collection of his writings Orthodoxy in the religion of the future. He's also written books on Origins, creations and origins The Soul after death. So there's many, there's many Publications out there that you can get your hands on Saint Herman's.
Press has just re-released or republished his book on Origins and Creations which normally was selling I think because it was out of print was like selling for over 1,000 USD and now you can get your hands on it as far as I know. I think it's a 50 bucks USD now it's 80 something here in Australia, Sammy some money and I'll go get a copy and we'll read some of that as well as I'm going to use that reading the
PDF. Like to get my hands on the physical copy Jim jatras like to show off, he's like he's got no one of the original 1,000 copies and his homeland. bringing over man, just what's the shipping cost on that, but Orthodox Revival guys on the bagels. Yeah, you know. It's, it's a, it's a nice eye-opener. Especially when you read, let's say Orthodoxy and religion the
future. And many people take from that title, that is, that father servant was saying that Orthodoxy is a religion of the future. Of course, it's a religion of the past, the present and the future, it is the church. But regardless of that point, the title is actually pointing towards something much more darker and we're starting to see the inroads of that prediction coming true in nihilism, he talks about the age of nihilism being the 20th century being an agent of nihilism giving way to
an age of Anarchy, you know? So now an Arco tyrannies something that people talk like to talk about pretty openly in it, started in the dissidents. And now I think it's hitting the mainstream. So, we are in an age of Anarchy. I mean many, many cases of things, kind of falling apart, feeling, feeling, without weights, or without any kind of grounding, and That's creates its own kinds of problems.
You know, the again the love is a lot of his reading and thinking was Central to my understanding and even some of my own that's I'll call them predictions, more like long range analysis. When I talk about the Neo trades, sort of this idea of people coming, you know, in these times of troubles, people will come back to some sort of Neo traditionalism, which will be a facade of traditionalism. They'll wear it, they'll enjoy the sort of the, the kitchen,
the paste of it all. But when, when I come to actual application and things like sacrifice and, you know, having to address one's own sins and problems and illnesses, well, spiritual and otherwise oh, I like that. Can we just wear the sun dresses and make the apple pies and not you know all the rust that stuff you know come on. Now, of course, we've seen really the last five years.
A massive influx special with the younger men into into the Orthodox Church. Both is inquirers and new baptism and catechisms catacombs sorry which is very which is very Hopeful. I mean I'm in the same boat, you know. I was famously with my story while I was raised these partly within A household that was Russian Orthodox. We didn't really you know as a child growing up my grandparents house. The icons were there, but we didn't go to church and was sort of like, you know, old tradition.
They came from a generation when the melting pots kind of idea was very strong, especially for slobs in Canada world war in World War one. This is a, you know, it's, it's Not like it's taught. It's it's it is history, but it's not really brought up a lot in the Canadian in the Canadian sort of history of wrongs. Let's say they put a lot of Eastern Europeans where they called hungies.
So Hungary and World War one. They put them in open air concentration camps or workers camps mostly in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. And that kind of carried over there was sort of late and Slavic bigotry even when I was a kid, so cold war and all the rest of it. So There was, I think pressure for a lot of immigrants or even first-generation immigrants on my grandfather to, you know, amalgamate you know, don't leave. Leave the old stuff behind, you know, become a bit more mushy,
you know. Yeah. You just have your icons and stuff, but keep it down low, right? And he's certainly fell into that camp. Criticisms or whatever you can it's he's long gone. So you know what he gonna do so so I was raised in a household where there was Orthodoxy around and certainly religion. Was there, it was never really pushed and wasn't really a central point of the family or
my or my upbringing. You know, I was being raised in in Quebec Montreal Quebec so a lot of Catholic kind of, you know, imagery and cross on the hill and when I was a kid going to school going Elementary School, there was still the Protestant and the Catholic School boards. It wasn't Catholic wasn't always just all private. It was the Catholic School Board was the French school board and the and the Protestant was the more English school board.
So I went to Protestant schools but that didn't really inform really the education that much. We work really taught religion in schools, this is late 70s, early 80s. So long story short, and I was baptized Roman Catholic as my birth father's French cane. So It was one of those things my mother and father divorced, when I was two. So one of that. So Technically, you know, I would have been much easier for me to choose Roman Catholicism.
And, you know, glory to God. That's not how it happened. I wanted to follow more in the, in the footsteps of my grandfather. So, when I had a religious Awakening in 2020, I looked around and said, well, Orthodoxy and I, and for some reason, Orthodoxy had just kind of
introduced into my world. I was listening to ciprian, then, then Armani talk with pecanas on his show during the, during the lockdowns, the 2020. And supreme I think was just starting on his on his Orthodox turn and he started talking about the saying the Jesus prayer and mentioning orthodoxies so that I started looking into it, Father's from roses. Great work. The just forgotten. I don't know. Mess up the title. Reddit on the channel before
God's revelation to the human heart. so I got that and read that and I was like, well, I, let's look into Orthodoxy and five years later. Katie came in down here in Australia and rocor. Couldn't be happier. So glory to God and all things things. If I can do it you can do it. Go to liturgy or Vespers go to church, talk to a priest. Tip your streamer. Thank you for all the generosity yesterday when we're here with Matt. I've updated the goal there in the top. Oh sorry.

Go into Protestant. Going to the Protestant School Board schools. I'll read you out something that you know. Here's a treat for you, folks. What did God forget to do for the first, man? He forgot to. Clam. Put him in clothes, right? I also figured something out a
little text side. I had everything zoomed in and I was watching it yesterday. When why am I so zoomed in? Can I fix that kind of zoom out? And I realize I just had to change like one setting in the picture like oh Boomer Boomer with the tech but jokes and riddles seriously. Yes, would kiss seriously. Seriously some seriously jokes and riddles. Hey. Anyone. Want for your money. It's a reward. It's a nice little thing as a gift. It's from me to you. You give to me, I give back to you.
It's a reciprocal know. Okay. I would says nylon is great. Yes, it's it really I can't stress enough. How But I really need to re-read or finish reading Orthodox. Survival Guide. Now, especially as I'm doing my catechism, catechisms catechisms can it now that I'm studying to become an Orthodox Christian? Yeah, I should really read that. The Halo candy canes. As I still haven't read plan plenty.
Now, it's only four hours away. That's the name of of the monastery that father served from Rose set up. It was missing. But he says I'm a boomer. So dad jokes. Well trust me. This is little did I know at the age of whatever I was, Probably eight, maybe younger. when I received this book, Probably for like a birthday or something, who knows? You know as soon as you get these things you like, oh yeah, great yeah. Good. Jokes and jokes and riddles. Just just what I need.
And that'll stop the kids from picking on me that recess. I'll bring this make friends influence, you know, how to make friends and influence in the room. Here's a little one. What's the difference between a Peeping Tom and somebody who has gotten out of the bath? One is rude and noisy. The other is nude and Rosy. Huh. Huh. It's been super chats. Keep reading them out. Yeah. Anyways. Where were you on the start? I think. We talked about blessed, Sarah from Rose.
We'll get, we'll read the read, all the things. Read all the things but let's start here. Let's start with the Demon's. Let's start with demons and then go to his father's rooms in the second half of the show. This Frost my desk late last night so I'm just kind of catching up to it. This is all an interesting thing because People who've been following the show for a while, know that last year, when I was talking a lot about the ventral.
So in different shows, one of the things I begin to talk about and it's now really kind of hitting home. Again, these sort of future media predictions, right? Is it was a problem with with the truths Conservative estimates have put it at somewhere in the it just talking about puberty blockers alone. I know there's some new stats talking about how many How many young people identify as gender
fluid or something? And that's a, you know, we can discuss the ability of those numbers and and all the rest of it. But one thing we can track is how many people blockers have been sold. And some of the stats I saw and I haven't seen any thing to not confirm. These numbers is upwards of 100,000 or more children in just in the continental United States. We're not even talking worldwide or throughout the West have received in our taking puberty blockers, on some sort of regular basis.
So, let's just, let's use that as a, as a, as a minimum ballpark figure. So between 100,000 and maybe 500,000, maybe even as close to close to a million kids, are in some ways. Identifying, and, or Chemically altering their body, probably even altering their body through other means. because they've been diagnosed or believe that sells to be to have ginger, just more me, just for me, just gender dysphoria, sorry, or some sort of, you know, whatever you
want to call. Yeah. 100K, what, what WTF, right. Yeah, it just even the bottom. We take that as a, as a minimum, right, is just as a ballpark, minimum figure. It's a disturbing number of people. It's a small army and one of the things we are also now finding out. So now finally discussing, this is how gender reassignment
surgery and the money. These other, these treatments call them, that are not effective at actually combating some of the problems that that they were originally prescribed for which is fear, depression, fear of these children, you know, control, leading themselves, all this other stuff, So the the thing that I was saying last year is that we there's a distinction to be made and I understand how a lot of people are upset with let's say the Dillon mulvaneys and the
older men going to washrooms and all that stuff. I just putting on a dress and etc. Etc, I got it right. There's a but there's a distinction. I think you have to be made. Slightly in this case. Between let's say the 35 whatever, 40 year old man in a beard and now address going into him is washrooms and the 13th by his parents and his doctors in a psychiatrist and his teachers and his media and all the rest of it, that the reason why you're depressed and feeling
awful is because of this thing. And if you take these drugs, you'll feel better. Because we're worried about you, you know, not being seen or heard or felt or whatever recognized and Society, are you going on to his identity? Because one of the hardest things to do, as you get older, as you're young, as you're young and getting older is your, maturing is building an identity separate from your parents.
It can be incredibly difficult and I think that in the Modern Age just in the last, let's say 30 or 40 years. That's become almost impossible. Whether it's being helicopter, parents or through media, or through teachers, many of these things are just self-confirming. So that even if you don't have a distance, there's no there's no difference between your teacher, your parent, the media, and let's say your boss and your Work environment and etc. Etc.
As you go through life. The that difference, that differentiation is narrowing. And in some cases I think is non-existent The problem with that is that that means there's only one identity being presented and no matter where you turn, you're getting the same identity. So how do you differentiate yourself? How do you grow past your parents? As part of growing up, you are your parents, you are your family, you are representative of your family.
You are a product of your environment and your family and all the other people, your schools, Etc, friends. But at some point, you begin to create your own separate identity based on your experience as your wants, your, your talents, Sometimes they're very closely aligned with your parents and sometimes it can be quietly different.
This is the whole Rebel with all the cause kind of Boomer thing if you want to understand how one shot of Boomers God, I think with their media and sort of that style. She look at other cars, you know, James Dean classic James, Dean movie, which has some sort of like underscore homeless sexual tension relationship with him in the other, in the other boy, in the, in the film guy. In the film, you know, the
anguished relationship. James has James Dean's character has with his, with his parents, you know, a distance and cruel. Most smothering type mother and a infection ineffectual, or ineffective kind of weak mushy. Father. And there he is, Raging And that's like a seminal film from Boomers coming into the early 60s and a lot of other
narratives were like that. You know. so, They started getting this idea that teenage angst and this conflict between the parent and the child is normal and good. And rational, in fact, you should be doing this because look at your parents and look at your parents generation there,
have they have problems. May, they came back from the war, your dad's all screwed up and your mom's, you know, Being your mom and all the rest of it. You all the other things, all the resentments and criticisms that a child, can you normally place at the feet of the parent specially as a because they don't have the experience or the The responsibilities of a parent. So then they just magnify is and you give excuses and you go, hey, you're resentment is not
only Justified, but it's good. You can be cool and awesome like, James Dean over here. Look at that. They can continue this along through the generation, and I think, in some ways, the overcorrection of the Boomers because they had that in their minds, so they wanted to be
their kids best friend. They didn't want to be like their parents, they didn't want their kid to have to rebel against them and have all that angst and turmoil and all the rest of it and have to go therapy and listen to Paul Simon records and whatever they they wanted their kids to you know to have that kind of a long lasting relationship that isn't conflicted. So they try to be their kids, best friends. And that's not the proper
relationship. I can't stress this enough and for me, the people who are listening to this, who don't have children, those who do have children, no one I'm talking about. I never want to be my kids best friend. I want to be my, my daughter's father. It's the same thing with my wife, maybe I'll play. There's a great clip from other. Father, moles of experience in talking about how your wife is not your friend. These distinctions in
relationships are important. because when you start to mix and match your, let's say, duties, responsibilities or Relationship statuses, right? Where people go. If my wife, my wife's my best friend, Like, well, do you have? The section have children with your best friend like throughout was that your relationship? No, well maybe, but probably not right. If the majority of us, hopefully still probably not great. So, okay, so that's a difference. You don't marry your best
friend. You marry your wife, you've taken vows to be with your wife or your, let's say your spouse, your husband, your wife, your your entering into a special kind of relationship. That has to stand the test of time until one of you die. And maybe hopefully I've even
after that, right? so this idea that you can suddenly become your like your Chum, You know, hey, he's we're just friends know, you're husband and wife, you're gonna face difficulties and challenges and sufferings and joys and all the rest of it, raising a child together, you know, all these things. That that don't you don't really do with your friend. You can live with your friend.
You can just sometimes you have had friends really good friends of mine who you know, live together in terms of we've been roommates and all that stuff. Great cool. It's not the same thing as being married and owning a house, so completely different relationship. there's also, Depending if you're let's say, you take your marriage very seriously and you're not going to just get divorced for no good
reason. The the owners, then we have a friend, you can walk away from a friendship, it might be difficult, maybe hard, maybe painful, ultimately, you can just walk away from a friendship, you know, summarize people grow apart, and that's it. There's no divorcing, your best friend. Marriage. Well now suddenly there's that consideration as well. Oops, Best friend, huh? Yeah, we're all best friends until you have to sign divorce papers and split the house and all your money's and all the
rest of it and child's. You know, visitation rights and all that stuff. That's not something you gonna do with your friend. Right. Oops. Let's get this back here. You're a child, okay? Defund chair Force. This new i7 Geo, I just giving you attention. Is that what you want? I can give you some attention, it's okay. I don't know really what you're talking about. That's okay. Um, explain yourself or whatever the The impetus here.
So okay, so we're talking about the boat the trees and all the rest of it. And how this changing relations between between parent and child, and this sort of impetus to become the child's friend, I think that's a perfect Avenue for this kind of abuse to happen and misinformation and Paris, not holding a line, not giving you not giving your child definitive borders and let's say distinct relationship, statuses as they're going up. So that way, when they get a
little bit older and they serve having this identity crisis is most people do, is your growing into your identity there. They need to have those sort of borders, they need to know these categories are firm so male female mother father relationships between the two. You know, what does this mean? What does, what is the difference between a man and a
woman? Well, for a certain blend these two things, and men can be men, can do the same job as women can do when we can do the same job as men can do. And there is no, the authority of the household is really just kind of chaotic, and it's on who's, you know, who's in charge today. Kind of thing, gets into the Anarchy as age of Anarchy, were all these categories in these. A foundations are blown apart. As they get blown apart, then you say, well, it's very difficult.
Put those things together again, especially as someone is entering into adolescence or into early adulthood. What do they start? Their foundational understanding of let's say, masculine feminine. And the categories held within mother, father are liquid or diffused or nebulous and Mom and Dad want to be our friends. Well, so then are they mom and dad? Are they, my friend or they are? What role are they playing?
You know, now suddenly teachers which were just, you know, what I was growing up was just a teacher. Work friends with your teacher, he didn't hang out with your teachers. I'd in high school. I did a little bit of that was certain teachers, but you know, Basically was your teacher was your teacher. That was your relationship. That was it. They were, you know, your counselor and your psychiatrist and you're this and you're that they were just they just taught
math. And then you had, you know, you went home and that was it. So, as these relationships and as he's categories, have been have been sort of made porous and both on a cultural level. And of course, even an individual level, then you start seeing this rise of gender fluid confusion, right? Gender confusion, we can talk about, we can talk about the psy-ops. We can talk about the chemicals. We can talk about those chemicals are built and promoted from and all that kind of stuff.
And that's all valid and true. That's all part of this package but the borderline psychology of how we get here. Anyways, the spiritual nature of all these of all these outcroppings is not as simple as they just wanted to sell puberty blockers. I think they saw the opportunity and they're certainly said, well, we have this product, it
used to give it to prisoners. And grape prisoners, who were going to chemically castrate and how you can just give these to kids and just tell them, it's they're just confused but they're gender and Fantastic. Look at there, you go, right? so, As this had been building up. And now we know there's let's say at minimum 100k. Kids who've taking these drugs. And we're entering into this age, as I said, as the event of the ventral, Sun Spirit of the
vengeful son is here. Increases in violence in a total of an age of total violence. I think in response to age of
Anarchy is coming. We're seeing more and more of it. You have this perfect Army, this perfect Army of the vengeful son with these kids who've been lied to. So, here's a distinction, I was making before you made distinction with the 45 year old man and a beard who goes, where is her son dress and goes into women's washroom, which is creepy and weird and should be not allowed and then you have the 13 year old kid who's been lied to Who's had their categories destroyed but he
doesn't have a clear relationship with the mother and father, or their teacher or say authority figures within within Society, they have no church, they have no Spirit. They have no defines spirituality their cake to nihilism. And they've been given these drugs and told that that's going to help them and as they mature from 13 to 18 or whatever and they find out those drugs aren't helping them. In fact it's making them worse. I mean, they live in a country like the United States where
they can get firearms. You suddenly have a Catholic school shooting. Oops. So, this becomes a perfect Army of eventual, son, if you want to talk about the spirit of the vengeful son, as I've put it out, is a is a agaric summoning. Let's say a meta, a meta type of an archetype and responds to a to an awareness of betrayal of cultural generational betrayal. By both our governments are authorities or the Boomers the this tribe that tribe all the yes. All the things.
It's red pills upon red pills. And then it becomes sort of aware of this. Suddenly. The lights. Come on. And what do they do? Well, you're going to be angry, you're gonna be really angry. It's a natural response. In fact, many of us who are taking this red pill, let's say the original red pill, nothing is atmosphere red pill. But the more Kurdish Jarvan style maybe over five years ago or so. after the events of 2020, the long flu.
Was resorted to getting on boarded to these kind of things and most of us were in GCS and, you know, group chats and you know, hanging out on dr's and all the rest of it and trying to piece this together, you know on bitch shooting places because you couldn't say a lot of things she said anything you get canceled. Or get removed.
So there was that burgeoning anger, but there was nowhere to vent it. There was nothing to do with it other than kind of accept it. You kind of went through your different stages and then you started going okay, you know, and then started making more mental mapping plans and doing other things with it. Well now we're entering a period when when those restrictions are not going to be there or certainly not there in the same way you can say a lot more now
than you could five years ago about pretty much everything. And that red pill is hitting. Daryl Cooper and many others, attacking the World War Two or post. Nuremberg narrative. That's open people's eyes. Maybe people looking back at the history and going wait man, have we been lied to We've been lied to. But what everything? Look at that. and everything that all the all the connotations, all the All the steps of let us down certain roads to accept certain things.
The mass immigration Etc are all bass. If you trace it back, a lot of it goes back to that post Nuremberg narrative. Oops. People getting on boarded quickly because this crisis is a constant crisis of consequences is hitting them hard. Now in their day-to-day lives, they can't ignore it. They can't just look away and go. Ah, it's not really happening or what's happening over there. It's happening that crazy country. Whoo, France. What agreement?
Whatever thing? No, it's happening in your streets in many places. And money is tight and getting tighter. And your kids all screwed up or your parents are all screwed up. And you can't get a job and stacking stacking, stacking stacking. until finally, Something. Some some people start sparking off. Luigi manage jails. This shooter here. We're going to talk about and this article by scared Greer. So these things are popping off, maybe even fall in the channel. I give it a name.
But also told you that these Spirits trying to call, Father devouring, mother, ventral son, these are all connected to the same route, the Revolutionary Spirit liberalism equally luciferianism. Satan, the devil. The big bad guy. There is no good. Coming out of this. The spirits which obey these meta types that infect, everyone and everything. And in some ways will make you react to them.
Because if it doesn't, if you're not directly affected by them, Someone in your family will be or someone down your street will be or certainly your culture, your Society, your city wherever you live will be. And then what do you do? You're gonna have to deal with it on some level. Which is something that Orthodox Christians understand. Because what we end up doing, you know, I won't talk too much about spiritual warfare, playing me some videos. I'm not qualified to speak of these things.
Fully so I can only share what I understand when I know what has been said before that we can qualify let others were much more qualified speak for on it and we'll talk about that. But so now people are starting to take notice And giving a name saying, hey, this looks pretty demonic. Right. If if demons, if you want to believe the demons are real. People believed the gods real. Then the connotation is you believe Satan's real and you
leave Satan's real. Then if again if you believe God's real then you know angels and Christ and the Saints and all these other things and miracles are real. And also means that demons are real. That modernist is gonna start explaining this way and I'm thinking I've read part. Most of this article Scott will do this as well of attaching this to psychological. Ailments. Effects of the mind.
Brain chemistry. Of course. the more they focus on that, the more they also highlight the fact that Even modern neurologists who get touted as these Great Brain, scientists and mapping the brain, etc. Etc. They don't know how any of this stuff works either. they can tell you parts of the brain that light up when you know, someone speaks And they think they've isolated kind of where thoughts come from sort of because different areas of the brain will light up.
But they don't really know how this works. They just kind of whistle, was a biological brain function or something. Recently, now we have evidence suggesting that Alzheimer's, which is a disease of the brain, robe of memories ability to, you know, cognitive abilities. Has a, if it doesn't, it has a direct correlation to your gut biome. Starts in the gut. It might actually have its cure, its remedy, it's caused all the rest of it attached to microorganisms in your in your
in your intestines. And your stomach. Oops. What? Huh weird. I thought this is all functions of the brain. this is, Stuff that has been. Talked about mostly an alternative medicines schools, oddly enough, sort of holistic. Yada. Talking about how? Yeah, the stomach is, your second is your second brain. You know that you you got feelings, we have names for it. See if this gut feeling a reaction and intuition, where is that coming from?
And he kind of feel it, maybe in your stomach, your stomach does something. So does that mean or cognitive abilities? Reside in her intestines? Or bowels for some people, I'm sure kind of explains a few people. The most Roman Catholic apologists for example, anyways. and, It's a fasting day. It's a fasting day for me. So be quick, let's get into Scott Greer before we do, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so much like And subscribe, and share, and the
channel. Let the people know where we're at. Of course, we're here on YouTube X and kick and possibly Rumble in the future. I mean, sir uploading to rumble as well. Getting rumble live streams to work are always kind of sketchy at best so I'm still trying to work that out, but keep an eye out. We'll be on all the places and over, of course, on Spotify, I Tunes all the podcasters and very soon. We'll be starting upload on a
regular basis over on substack. You can go over there and look for notes from Down Under Jason, Aaron Schock. I think he's under Miracle now as well. So you can find that there and subscribe. Subscribe all the things, press all the buttons. Do all the things wherever you're at, if I'm there to say hi. I appreciate the attention. Okay. Scott Greer. I don't know much about this guy. A shadowed CG Constantine for putting this cross my desk.
I don't really know much about him from just reading this. He seems pretty Normie. I would say in position, but I'm not even quite sure what his political leanings are. The fact that it came across my desk, from someone who follows me means it means. I doubt he's like a screaming liberal, but well, we'll see either way if you know this guy he's he's your guy. He's your favorite person in the world. Cool, I have nothing for or
against him as of right now. I don't really know the man, if I say things that insult, you about him or something, then sort, sorry. Can get over it. Three action video. So this is from his substack. Highly respected here. B Demon's. Why the right increasingly attributes? Human events to spiritual evil. The horrifying shooting at Minneapolis school, Catholic school, left Americans looking for answers. How could someone do such a
terrible thing? Liberals naturally, blamed guns, and tried to explain the tragedy for political gain. Conservatives charted, a different path, many of them, blamed demons a new talking point that has gained wide traction on the right. Okay, so then what is, who's saying? What here From the Highlight here in demons. looks like, The spokes, the media press secretary. Kerala Levites shares pose blaming demonic forces for for Minneapolis shooting.
Or just read briefly from this is from Yahoo News. Press Secretary, Karen Levites, shared a post to Instagram that asked people to pray for the victims, following the tragic shooting in a Minneapolis Church. The claimed, the lives of two children. However, not it. Not all is what initially seems don't don't. Look at the full post originally made by the conservator, a conservative lifestyle magazine reveals a second side that blames a demonic Force for the
shooting. The full post Reese this, there was a demonic force. Moving when a transgender Maniac. Sprays bullets bullets at a pews of Catholic school children, shame when the progressive leaders and lawmakers, who make this about the man in the White House, the Second Amendment, or so called Trends, bigotry. There is a corruption. There is a Corruption of Mines to commit horrific acts of violence. We pray for the victims or families.
The entire Annunciation, Annunciation Community during this grueling time. And yes, prayers, do count and do work. Of course, that's a counter to. I believe it was a Minneapolis mayor and a few other prominent politicians saying, something along the lines are like, you know, Hey where's your prayers now? Why didn't prayers work this time? You know, one prayer, stop the shooting from happening. Class Act, by the way, beautiful.
What a wonderful way of winning people over to your side here, if that's your public stands. language similar to that used in the post has been liberally deployed by Trump allies and supporters in the hours, since the shooting, which takes place, which took place and initiation, Catholic School Minneapolis, Save quick prayer. The families And goes on. In responses, okay. I'm secretary Christy gnome his
next post. We have confirmation that the shooter and Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis Minnesota, was a 23 year old man to be transgender. This strange monster targeted her. Most vulnerable young children praying in their, in the, in their first morning, mass of the school year. Etc. Etc. So okay, fair enough, you know at first, when I started said this in the way he kind of phrased sounds like well okay.
Are we talking about some like random accounts talking about this or is, you know, is there a bigger accounts talking about this press secretary? It's pretty big press secretary of the United States. That counts. Was a chat saying here. Cool. Dude says I didn't read Greer's articles so this will be interesting. He's either he's either a pagan or an atheist agnostic. I believe he got in trouble for some alt right writing around a decade ago and fired from DC.
The Daily Caller. Ah, I see I see. Provo's in the chat to see, bro. Oh, by the way, Provo I thought about you. I because I had I heard your name being mentioned, Tony, and and Jimbo. And I seen in shots, I hadn't watched your channels and by the way, everyone should go check out probably his channel. It's fantastic. So I think, when I was there your chat, like I think it was last week was a personal checked out your channel and I had already started using the TV
stuff. And then I watched you were in the TV. This party of your party of your look, I was like It. Oh, well, where I was already have all this stuff set up and made them rolling with it. Sometimes you can you try to be original? I try to be original then I find out. I'm not original at all. I mean, look, I have my stuff is really just taking from Death of the world magazines. I want to be original. I just want to copy all the other cool Orthodox stuff is It's a me thing.
Not you think it's me? Okay, so back to Scott, Greer. The shooter was severely, mentally ill, transgender individual, who dabbled with satanic imagery in his journals dabbled and allegedly expressed interest in other cult inspired gunman, dark Forces could have invaded. His mind, the shooter should never have been allowed to own guns. Due to his extreme mental illness. That was expressed through his gender change. Robin air quotes.
Wessman is part of a growing trend of Trends, Mass shooters. The link over there. His story doesn't support gun control, it provides evidence, that Americans Society should no longer indulge the Twisted, thinking of mentally ill, people, and keep them away from harming others YouTube. By the way, YouTube, I know this is whatever. I'm pleading to nothing, but I'm just reading here. It's air quotes and stuff and okay. Demonetized kicked off. Okay cool. Thanks. Support the show folks.
That's why I asked you the minimum, share it out, let people know because YouTube is not in my friend for a while now from a better part of the Year. Oh yeah. You talked about the bagels a little bit too close to to clearly all the way things happen. What those Okay, already here. Let's read this. Again, the shooter was severely mentally ill, who dabbled with satanic imagery in his journals and allegedly expressed interest in other occult inspired gunman. Okay?
So let's let's play the field a little bit here for the seculars you don't believe in. If you're a secularist, you don't believe in demons. You don't believe in the Supernatural, the rest of it, right? You think this is all brain chemistry? Something to get you so I called you something. Okay. Here's the thing. even if even if the secular version of this is true, or closest to the truth, there's no Boogie Woogie thing's in the world.
Even if it's like logical manifestation brain chemistry gone wrong. You know upcoming voices in the mind and and they searched people start to act as if One would be demonically possessed, right? There were perhaps, you say, well, they use that term way back when because they didn't have study the mind and aren't we. So smart, we have the study the mind. Although the two things are exactly the same. So, therefore, you say one, you
mean, the other doesn't matter. We're concept files abide. The. The issue here is that you're still no further ahead. if you consider this just mental illness, or demonic possession, For the secularists, if you say it's meant illness you go. Cool. How do we fix that? Medication like well, we've been doing that. for the better part of about 100 years now, even more really, you know, if you look at, you know, giving people lithium and all these other kind of drugs going back into the
into the 18th and 19th century. Hasn't been working. You know. Maybe we should go back to prescribing cocaine for anxiety. I always loved that one. I was like really. Okay, for anxiety. because I have, I, you know, I've known some people allegedly. I've, I've studied this. I've studied very closely, the effects of that drug on people, especially prolonged, use of the course of a better part of a decade. And yeah, I know not a really a cure for anxiety.
I wouldn't say that. Maybe during the experience. Sure? Right? Because you're too busy talking like a Word but and Sue self-centered and whatever sure but immediately afterwards. In the, you know. After the drug war is off. None, exactly a non-anxious state and in fact, I wouldn't even call The Experience itself. A non-anxious state. It's just you wouldn't you probably wouldn't to be suffering for anxiety in that point. But if you anyone looking at you, pretty anxious, so, Just
saying. She was just my my study experience is studied academically. Just very curious about straws for a long time. Speaking of fishing Auto. so, We know the drugs don't work. Or. If they work, they work on the extremely, let's say extreme cases. When you want to heavily Medicaid somebody But in sort of day-to-day cases, doesn't seem to be working. We've done everything. We can think of ssris for depression and all the rest of it not really working.
People are still Right? And it's seems to be getting worse. The more drugs, we apply to the situation that oftentimes a more people seem to be viewing you a bit more nutty. And that comes comes for everything from direct medications for certain for certain like logical symptoms. And also just, you know, the pill birth control a whole bunch of varying degrees stuff, they're putting into the food, you know, again, God biome seems to have a huge element to play, and mental health 499 from
Provo, fresh, thank you so much. Don't know why? This is been going on now or a little bit. It's not giving me. A my alerts on screen. Which is weird. oh, Well, there you go, weird. Why did that not happen? Huh? Interesting. Okay. Hopefully it'll show up now, either way. Thank you, Provo, appreciate you, everyone. Will probably look at probably doing this. He's poor. He's got money to give me. Maybe someone out there with a bit more money than digital
cash, throw it away. Two bucks, it's fine. So your way on super chats streamlabs all the rest of it. As a time turn the freaking cocks gay turn the frogs gay. God damn. Everybody gave. Him one way, she performed shorts or do it a hell of a good job with that? So the I was saying this to say this so if the drugs in the treatments in the psychology and the therapies doesn't seem to be working, well, what are you doing? Right. What is the cure? What, how do we address these
issues? And to Simply say, religion spirituality, their demons stuff, that's just crazy. Kooky stuff. Well sure. if from the secular, I could understand why you think that, but there's a tradition of this thing there seems like a long standing tradition of these things and one thing about tradition tends to be if something doesn't work at all, People tend to abandon it or change it, they don't tend to keep doing the thing that doesn't work. Two dollars.
Thank you so much. Again, I don't know why this thing is not showing up. It's very confusing. But oh, well. Apologize. There should be alerts and wrestlers showing up and whatever here. Thank you would a kiss and Provo? Thank you. so, if the treatments are working and the therapies is not working. And the kids are getting worse and the kids are getting more violent and people are now more scared to go to school.
And whether it be a Catholic school or public school or whatever, kind of school there is, and we care about the children, right? We care about the children. This whole thing about the children, we care as we care. So much about the children. Well, then we should do. We should expand our search. For possible ways of addressing the situation. Wouldn't you think? Secularists. Maybe at least indulge a bit. And the idea that hey there might be demons.
Or these old traditional forms of dealing with these kinds of outcroppings of demonic attacks. Hey, maybe those things have some legitimacy. Do this. You know, you can do the Jordan Peterson thing where it's like look just live. Like as if God exists, you don't actually really believe it. Well, you know, Practice it long enough. You start to believe Because things are happening, but okay. Say the Jesus prayer. It's a guard against demonic attacks. Lord. Jesus Christ.
Son of God. Have Mercy Me sinner. The one thing and we'll get back to this. So I'll do a little demonology. This is the one thing I can share. The one thing that Satan hates the most is humility. Can't deal with humility. Two dollars again from Whitakers. Thank you. There you are. So if we, yes, we if we, if we don't say that, that all tradition can just be what we know was away, because we're so smart in advance and all our Smart in advanced treatments are
working. It wouldn't be a bad idea to maybe send these kids to church and see what happens from there. What was the? Robert Witt, Robert sorry. Robin Westman is the latest TTG? Mash shooter to spark National debate. I won't go too far into this. It's the full story. I'm sure you've seen the picture. of the of the guy. Looks like Carrot Top meets the mask. So we won't spend too much time
with that. So Robinson is growing trend of trans Mass Shooters. His story doesn't support gun control provides evidence, that American society should no longer be no longer indulge the Twisted thinking mentally, he'll people and keep them away from harming others. Well, let's just, that's just, that's just that simple, you know, Many on the right have made this case, but on social media, several conservatives. Have added.
The demon Theory to mix. Suggesting that we need blast me laws and even some kind of demon control to stop future masks ms's YouTube masks, right? Poop use Yeah, these pose wouldn't mega-viral. Earning Rich, payouts to those who made them, they're popular on the internet, but the general public would think you're nuts to make them offline. America is increasingly secular and disinclined to look for Supernatural, explanations for real world events.
Now here's the thing. It's a heck of a thing to say. I also notice, there's no links to any of these things and how to show you some my investigations to what exactly the Scots here is talking about I get it right. The more you start doing anything with this Media stuff and on any level, you understand the pitfalls are being lazy. Right? You want to write an article? You have this idea for an article. You've seen some things on here and go.
Oh, there's this thing I can do. I have a, I have an opinion. I have a spin on this. It'll be cool. I can put this out, so they do it. Right? And, you know, when it gets to, you know, actual proves of certain statements that you're making almost sudden you go. Many people are saying many such things. Many people are saying this. They're getting very rich Trump. This, I know this because I I thought this I suppose really hard. I suppose harder than anybody else.
And this is my exposure. And I'm gonna basically says his direct fact um, so so he's saying that These posts would mega-viral. I'm not saying that they have an oyster looking around for Stuff. I didn't see any Mega viral demon control. Narrative posts. So I'm not quite sure who he's talking about. There is this from Infowars, which will play And hopefully
the volumes. Okay. So they believed to be true from Sovereign bra, the trans shooter, drew a picture of himself as Baphomet and describe demonic forces controlling him in his journal. This is what trans ideology does the kid quite literally became possessed by demons. Here, we have the page two from there. Journal here. I feel like there's some kind of God or higher force, controling. Me, I sometimes notice how I suddenly start writing, things that I don't even think of myself.
It's as if somebody is putting these thoughts in my head, I used to think that all this was nonsense but now I'm not so sure. Maybe this really is some kind of higher mind that communicates with me this way. Like man, you know how dumb you have to be? Maybe it's God just like kill kill Dragon. They're like is that you God it's like our children cut your dick off. Hi, maybe this is a higher power. Maybe I'm chosen for something. Hate your parents kill your children.
Hate God. Yeah, no, you're you're being touched by a higher power. Certainly, that's definitely what it is. So, I mean, this seems to be the most high-profile other than these press secretary mentioned demons. I've scrolled through of look for different things. I mean, there's the standard silliness people, you know, saying that there's is, here's one, right? From Maverick X. That's a whole bunch of numbers of the Bible. That's how you know. This is a real Count.
Yes, sir, here's a Canadian dollar. If you look at the Queen's hair, you will see a bafflement the demon. Once again, these people couldn't control the world, believe in Lucifer, and worship the dark Fallen Angels Spirits. Now, I happen to agree with that statement overall, but you look at this and like, okay could be back from it could just be just could be the hair, you know? And I know it's a little messaging, you said Etc. And I look, I believe a lot of that stuff.
I think those things are true to a greater degree. However, you know, sometimes you you can also there's also the effect of looking at the cloud and you think you see a dog Yeah, we just got five dollars from Jason's, scroll highly recommended Radix, Vernon's latest videos on James Holmes. Roar theater incident and Columbine. All the same patterns to this recent event. Hang on a second. Here we go. Sound Json to Json. I've also been forget oh, we see
Whitaker's another two dollars. With cs after Herman wittus originally hands with. Okay. Harry, calm down. All right, your autism is a little higher, but we need you to turn down the autism. Dial, just a little bit, just a little bit. You're you're way up like a 12 here. We need you. We need you to comfortable eight. Just sort of a sort of a bath water. All autism. That would be good for the rest of this room but here you go. Thank you, baby. Thank you.
I have been forgetting. Of course, I promised jokes and riddles were super chats and I have not been delivering. That's on me, folks, not on you. So anyway, we got, we got Provo. Here we go, Provo. Last Night, A man was Dean walking down the road holding a candle which was said to have been stolen. I suppose you could call them light fingered. I need a laugh track. That's what I need. That's my new thing. What a kiss for your two dollars. Here you go. What part of the body has the
best social life? Tonsils, because they get taken out. So off, and Write. When the kids again for two dollars. Oh my goodness. Why shouldn't you carry two half dollars in your pocket? because you have to make a hole, you get it whole and you could lose your money. See that's where all your money's going there. Would it because we just we discuss what Harry? Big hat here. Nice hat Harry. Uh, what else we have? That's two ways. Jason scroll, the big five dollars.
Where do snowflakes dance? At the snowball. Oh, welcome. Slam that over there. Dad jokes are Basin. Red Pill. I agree. I agree. Let's get back to this. Oh, Scotty. So okay, so then he makes a claim. These things are going Mega viral. I don't see evidence of that but sure, let's just say they are right? I might be missing something in just whatever he wrote this. People my moved on a bit. Um, they're probably on the internet, but the general public would think you're nuts to make them.
So you're saying that online, they're very popular and there may be different reasons for that bought all the rest of it and India but but offline in America, you're saying that the whole show that people are increasing secular and don't believe in the Supernatural. Which is ribbon incongruity. Right? Why, why so popular online and so unpopular IRL. Now again, we can say, well things are affected online rather than real life but we can also say in real life. People may not give you the
exact honest answer. If you come up and go hey you believe in demons, it might be like, Who are you? What? Yeah, no, no I don't I don't believe in demons sir ma'am, what are whatever you are. Thank you know, go away please. Harry says review Jamie's episode 72, Jamie whom exactly. I shall. So yeah, I don't this is meaningless to me.
And the fact that they're getting popularity online, that means that eventually we will get popular in real life because that's kind of how things work it happens on X or Twitter or Reddit or something that eventually you start to see real life. People doing I mean emulating online things. Jamie Henshaw died. Okay. That's kind of what I thought you meant but I just wanted to be to make sure Yeah, I will
I'll check it out. I'm a big fan of the the Henshaw dollars, the right, the rights demon blaming isn't rooted in a certain upsurge of a spiritual belief in the public or the return of the religious, right? Well, Kind of sounds like a religious right kind of thing. But okay, it's caused by developments. When the new right along with the desire for high social media engagement, one, must give the most fantastic explanations for the occurrence of events.
Bringing the Devil Makes a lot things. A lot more interesting than merely sticking with the concrete. What is the concrete? Exactly. Scott. Scotty, Scotty, what is the concrete exactly here? What would you say be You can't explain it. You don't know where even gender dysmorphia comes from. You don't expect you don't understand the brain. The chemicals don't work. The trip was don't. Work therapy doesn't work with. I'll explain this.
If they did then we wouldn't be having these problems. You can just say mental illness you go. Cool. Okay, fair well, we'll go with that. Where does his mental illness? Come from How do we explain that? How do we, how do we even address it? Everyone who's a little bit, you know, kooky based on what parameters or what you know we can hear in the shot we can come up the whole list of things like you pass this point. You're off to the you know off to the gulag you go.
My friend. Or your safety and safety of others. Sure, I'm down. But first, I don't know how you get that socially. Accepted or Incorporated and even if you did, how do you enforce it over time? And is that even real cure? based on, who You're gonna have to have some sort of basis for this kind of what you think is acceptable. Let's gonna bring it back to tradition, most likely. Right. Where is your bases? What is your bases for your moral and value and you're
morals and your ethics? Well, here's a problem and this is the easiest agnostic. The the non-believer, their positions, always the same is that once you get into brain chemistry land, well, you have no bassist, no actual ontological or metaphysical basis for your claims. Mental illness, means nothing. All it means is is outcomes that you don't like your preferences. You prefer people not behave in a certain way. But you can't base that on any
kind of morality. Even the Pew pews and ooh, people suffering and suffering itself. How the The Atheist is left flummoxed. I prefer that not to happen, Okay? But yet, it does happen. And all the attempts to make it not happen, seemed to make it worse. At least for some people. If not the majority. Oops. Socialism. Communism. All these Grand ideologies.
That's the at the core special with socialism, is supposed to address human suffering, disparities, amongst classes and people's Equalize things, make sure that everyone has a chicken in every pot. Which sounds great. Until there's a chicken famine. Oops, then, what do you do? Well, we take we find someone who has more chickens. We give we dispersed the chickens. We don't ask the question of like the people. We're giving the chickens to know, how to raise chickens.
I mean, like chickens or vegans for Christine. What would you do? Give the vegetarians chickens anyways. We made promises How many carats equal, a chicken who knows do that math? All these attempts at curating or eliminating or addressing suffering and a non-spiritual much more materialistic idealistic philosophical Etc. Way have failed. Complete and total failures. We're starting to see that now in Europe, the great socialist, experiment of European Union,
all that stuff, it's on fire. Detail that with our talk with Matt. Yeah, sure. But the bond markets in Europe is just like there's your indication a much greater problem. If the system itself doesn't work. There's no fixing it. Because it's broken. It was built broken on a foundation of lies and things that will not work. Cannot work. Never work. Pigs. Don't fly. Sorry, should my Canon and say look I'm flying. It's like well until they Until
gravity takes over. so, Again, and this is such a weird phrasing from Scott, the rights. Demon blaming isn't rude and rooted in a sudden upsurge of spiritual belief.
Yet we see an uptick across the West up young people's specially going to church, whether it be Roman Catholics, and in Europe, or an Orthodox churches in all throughout the west and America, and even Australia. So there is an option is there is an uptick a sudden uptick, the numbers are staggering for Scott or not talking, like hundreds of millions of people, but even anywhere in the neighborhood of tens of thousands from zero to tens of thousands is or negatives,
right? People leaving the churches and people leaving religion and not attending to suddenly tens of thousand people suddenly attending that's a set of uptick so, Who won that? And I love how he says is this is caused by developments within the new, right? Okay. What what? Which developments? It's caused by developments. When the new right? Which developments? We don't know. Along with the desire for high
social media engagement. well, the only way you get high media social engagement is if people are kind of interested in the idea, Who's been priming people to be interested in the idea? Hey, look at France, during the Olympics.
Remember that? You know, the big it was the commencement ceremony or the ending ceremony when they did a sort of a demonic version, demonic transgender fluid version of The Last Supper. There's like demonic imagery is all through rap music and through tons of other media and sort of okay. So what that wasn't the new right doing that. I don't think the new right was working on the French Olympics committee. Designing things? No. Okay, so, so it's not just the new right?
It's not a Right Far, Right, new right dissonant, right? Etc, phenomenon, It's a phenomenon that means to be permeated through a popular media these for the last five to ten years, when it's become like really obvious. Of course, it goes back even further, but I mean, like, really, really obvious. Let me see if we can get that picture of that. What is it? The French. Olympics. The closing cylinder. We will see Last Supper. Let's see if we can pull that up. Images. Yeah, here we go.
Yeah, dionysian Like halfway naked guy. And a whole bunch of weirdos in the back, right? Far right. Look at those. Look at this new, right? Look at these new writers. Doing these new Right Stuff. Obviously So uptick of spirituality know this is a, you know, homage to die. A nice is, what was that? What is that? Well, it's a myth, it's a story. So it's not really real. Okay. Here's the thing, secularist. Let's just say you're right and it's not real, they're just
stories right? No brain chemistry. Run him up. Oh no one can explain it. Well, who knows? Right. Too much seed oils or something, sure. Cut down the merger, okay? The problem is that whether you believe it or not, a lot of these other people believe it. They believe it so much, they put on display. What's that? People making weird satanic imagery and symbols, and signs, we know from things like Bohemian, Bohemian, Grove, and all that other stuff.
Weird stuff's going on there. Epstein Island. Why was there a Temple? Just an odd. Architect archetype kind of fetish. You don't have to be like, kooky crazy spiritualist. Yeah to look at all this stuff and go. Well, obviously, this imagery keeps popping on up and it's not just in video games or in cartoons or you know, kids stuff D&D Etc. That was a satanic Panic of the 1980s. This was the 70s and 80s to say. But sure, okay. So it's not that, right?
It's got saying it's not a Revival of that. but you see all these images pop up from the left, Know the image you know the weird statues weird golden statues popping up all over New York City and other cities was that happening they tore down Confederate statues and putting up these weird statues like these weird, you know, gender fluid look demon looking things. Is that a new right thing? Is that for social media engagement? Purely.
Seems like an you could just made an AI thing no money and time and energy went to making the statue and putting it up into major major Metropolitan Zone. Maybe even with concrete. Americans are moving away from belief in the devil and demons. See, they keep saying this, but it keeps showing up. So it's kind of weird that you keep saying this but okay a 2023. Gallup poll found that only 58% of Americans believe in the devil. Which is the lowest on record?
Still majority though, a 2020 21. You gov poll found just two in five Americans believed in ghosts and demons. Let's see other combining these two things. This aligns the percentage of Americans identifying as Christians dropping to 63%. Once We Were Once a universal universally, Christian Nation, which is not true. Arguably, we can make that argument. But both ways certainly. What what you what you were and what you still are?
Scott is a nation building on Christian values and Christian fundamentals and Christian ethics. The British common law system is a Christian ethic system. It isn't before proven guilty. Yeah, I didn't exist before that, and based on Christian values. Oops. A lot of those things, right? We can go through. There's Tom Holland's book and Dominion. Go read that How the West is was built on Christianity and as fundamentally Christian and it's and its character and its nature.
Now as you're changing that character in nature agree with you, many people are being dragged away from the church but mostly in America from Protestant denominations which are just Right, kind of weird. Right? Olson, 2021 2023. What happens? Well, you start seeing Lutheran churches and not to name all them and God bless him. But sir promoting, you know,
Truly female pastors. and, you know, putting Pride flags, and inside the Chapel's Do you think that might be driving some people away from the church there? Scott? Might be a little bit of mixed messaging. We were once a universal Christian Nation. Arguable. Now less than 2/3 is the country is Christian. Many self-professed Christians aren't that devout only 30% are regular Church attendees, a large number of Christians in by the faith. That is less fire and brimstone
and more therapeutic. Okay. Here's the other thing, too, is that demons and demonic activity and all that kind of stuff is not simply a Christian is solely a Christian belief. There's demons in Hinduism, there's demons and Judea and that Judah, you know judeo-christians, they're, they're demons are jinns and
Islamic face. I could go down list or whatever weird thing, they're, they're kind of promoting and South America, which is going to be a combination of pagan paganism and Catholicism. We look at what was going on in El Salvador gangs and tons of reports of those El Salvador gangs being being openly practicing, say to say satanists who are sacrificing and in some case is in some cases eating people including children. Whoops.
That's a new right thing, that's where that was for social media engagement. I'm sure. All those. El Salvador gangs. Were just, you know, eating people because they're like, this is gonna go, this is gonna go viral, right? Am I right past me? The leg? I'll come on, he's a fingers, it's more. It's much more. It's got bit better visual The thumbnail. Look. I mean, We're seeing this out of Ukraine. But as, all right, the as all Battalion, those neo-nazis Etc.
Okay. Now the other thing they're doing and they're pretty proud of it.
Is they wear opening wears satanic symbols and when they when we've seen them take over Orthodox churches in Ukraine, the canonical Church, the replacement Church which unfortunately it won't get into all that but a lot of that stuff is being openly saying that they're using sort of satanic imagery within that church and what they're doing to filing a lot of those churches in the best deals and the iconic icons and Etc. And as of I mean, okay they're
larpers, they're not really serious, they're not really real about these things and yet they're doing them. In America, you have open openly Church. The Church of Satan is an open is a is a church that people can go to because religious freedom. They put statues up. I get knocked down, occasionally, but good. Christians. Mostly as they should. Not recommending anything. In Minecraft on.
In theory. If you're practicing Satanism, even as a LARP ha, ha. Well, at some point, if you keep doing these things, you're just doing the thing, right? It doesn't matter. Scott if you believe it's true, if other people believe is true and are using it because they're, they believe it's true, then it becomes true. At least to them. That's their Moto's apparati. That's their excuse as their brain. Chemistry gone a lot or gone awry. They think they're commuting with demons.
Mental illness. Sure. How are you gonna stop that though? Scotty Cool, dude says didn't as of crucify someone or was that fake news? I vaguely remember that. I don't remember that. But I don't say that it's impossible. What they were doing was as was taping up people with a kiss. Would assist what? Harry with was a big membership gifts. Thank you so much. Do, the rooster says, cockadoodledoo, and the old maid says any dude will do There's an adult version of that same joke I've heard before, I won't say it, because we're on a fast and we're trying to be good. Oh, Skelton and ghost humor, my goodness. Like me plans. This didn't Thank you. Thank you, Harry. Appreciate you. Too much Jason which the face
the jokes. I can't tell Okay, so we saying that. That larger Christians and by the faith. That is less fire and brimstone and more therapeutic. Well, therapeutic, if you think that, if you, if people have mental illness or like demons, and you see that therapy, right? Or church is a hospital spiritual Hospital, you go there when you're spiritual well. so, It's not a good reason to go to church. Go to liturgy, talk to your priest.
If you're streamer. But things are different on the right more, and young, more and more young right-wingers and Brace, conservative forms of Christianity. Conservative form of Christianity. I mean, we understand what the liberal forms or what Christian has liberalized itself, but what was it? Conservative, conservative forms of Christianity is Orthodoxy and let's say that traditional Latin Mass Roman Catholics that's basically a within their Social Circles.
It seems America's returning to the faith and his animated by procedure Zeal. Okay. Well, what is it then? You just got done saying that everyone's leaving the church. Now, you're saying that everyone's going back to the church, but only conservatives and with a Crusaders like zeal, Fire resorts. They strongly believe in demons and at times. It appears belief in these evil beings is stronger than the belief in God. You can just say things, folks.
Their Newfound, Faith makes them want to turn to the realm of politics into spiritual warfare. Certain that zealotry will make them Victorious. Politics transforms from mundane campaigning to Diablo 2 quests. Okay, let's talk a little bit about spiritual warfare for a second. Well, I have a few videos to talk about what can we'll back
this up? Yeah, I think a lot of people sometimes when he hear spiritual warfare and I'm guilty of this too early on the church, you start to think of it like like Doom, right? You're going to hell, the fires of Hell on the on this planning position, you're gonna fight the demons out there. But while the demons are in the air, there's circulating you and they often get into your thoughts and that's how they permeate you and they start
whispering thoughts. Because the devil can't create anything but he can influence, he can seduce. And you know, encourage you, let's say to do certain things and play into your Fallen, your Fallen nature to apply your passion and to celebrate them a little bit. Maybe in some ways, he was other people and they reward you. So you feel like this is the right thing to do. Look, look all these successful people. I too shall be successful. I want to be successful.
Why? Because people are because it's a good thing to want. Because look at all these people who are successful and they don't they look happy. So happiness. Yeah. The. so, the issue is that if you think the war is out there is, and it's here and here, The Battleground is your soul. That's what they want. As many depictions of Satan, is
sort of a hungry lion. Who's constantly prowling, the perimeter, you know, waiting for your to make a weakness, stick your foot out over the edge of the bed. Eat you Was devour you? Destroy you. To hurt. God, this is the only way he can do it. Hurts God, through herding us. Showing, you know, almost a vain attempt to show, God was wrong and trusting us and putting and creating us. Because we can do one thing the devil can. It's great quote about this. Get from which father.
But essentially is that look it's not about he might think it's like fasting but the devil doesn't eat. Or standing vigil, the devil doesn't sleep. The devil knows, the devil knows the book. The Bible Devon quote Bible verse does Jesus in the desert. The devil knows everything, you know, and time is time is a million, it's an old ancient intelligence.
That's what how, you know, you can think of Angels or any of these Spirits sort of like vast non-intelligence is not going to think of them, you're not gonna out out fast, I mean, you're not gonna outrun them and you're not gonna out, you know, knowledge him The only thing you can do it, I should say. The only thing you can do is what the devil can't. Which is get humble. So, one thing Satan can't do. And he hates it. He hates it.
So if you want to wage war with this was Satan in the devils and all his hosts. The one thing you do is a thing they cannot do. She's get humble. Humility is the key. And reject and reject despair. the number one tool, the number one thing, the devil will always go to It's all your passions will always lead you to the same place which is despair. That's why I've named, you know, named certain folks, the merchants of despair.
It's a nice nice group because you can lots of different names and tribes and affiliations early life history. You can throw into that basket. Seemingly people who with all this power and money and all these things, they could do possible things. They could do, they could build great things they could do. Oh, wonderful things they could do. And yet, they squandered all and making sure people fall in despair because that's what gets them off. That's who they serve.
Get it. Something that I would say. Let's just say Christianity in general, but I'll talk specifically about Orthodox Christianity. How was the effects has had on? Me is context. I've said this before, but the greater context is for suffering itself. When I started understanding the God's love include suffering, he doesn't exclude it.
And that through suffering, we are often brought to him to a greater awareness and a greater appreciation and a great love of God and it's not just because God you're suffering and God comes right and takes it away from you. Although sometimes the case it gives you context and lets you allows you to bear it. All human beings. Every single one of us. Never was or whatever it is, or whatever will be. Is going to go through a time of
suffering. whether directly physically your deathbed or in terms of times of sickness, Or poverty or tough times, parent dies, Etc. Even if you're even if you have all of it, you're born into royalty and riches. Most likely at some point in your life, you will suffer. Suffer. Something even you'll even just suffer the, the, the the the boredom of riches. There's many different forms of suffering. Many different layers to this. It's like logical physical, Etc. Okay. Spiritual big one.
What Orthodox Christianity is giving me is that context. And in order to how to rightly understand and bear suffering to give it his place, And to not fall into despair. To know that whatever I'm going through. There's an end date and ultimate end date. It's later than you think. Hasten. Therefore to the work of God. That's on a personal level. Also on a greater level, everything we do on some level will pass. Very few of us ever, ever do anything. Of note.
That will long that will affect the future for thousands of generations. It's rare happens. Most likely most of us are going to do that. But you're thinking too much because you're really, what you're doing is saying, my name is not gonna be attached to this thing in a thousand years, my name will disappear. but as I said, multiple times, when the great things about having children is that as you pass on behaviors, ideas of you, the metaphysical, you That is not just simply genetic.
You pass that to your child, through modeling, through teaching through. Their love for you, they take parts of you. They pass it on, they Incorporated himself and they pass it on to the children in that sense you live forever, even though people not know your name, The other thing is that, let's say you take your some of your money or your thought. You think for the church keep putting in the church in a church is building or your church. So what you attend to continues
on? when you pass away tomorrow, that you have the church continues on, and helps save and and heal thousands of souls opposed you Your name is Uncle Mila plaque. No one's ever gonna you know maybe maybe if everyone will forget your name and offer and no thank you but you were part of it. By being simply part of something that is good. And something that has both traditions in the past position in the present, and God willing. Along future.
And not even just your parish and your church in your town. but the church as a general whole, everything we anything, we do that forwards, that promotes that, strengthens that Is good. You do nothing else. One simple Act of goodness in your life would be the hope you can find others. other instances, other things you can put yourself into Have beneficial results but we know that that's true. There's one single thing we can
hold on to that is immutable. The other great thing is as a Christian Orthodox. Christians we we know the death is in permanent. We will live on. Hopefully, in heaven. Because you will burn in God's love, or you'll burn. If you hold on to your sins, you'll God will burn them out. We return to God's love. And either experience, that is a beautiful warm glow, glory and grace or it will burn those sins out of you. For ternatea. but, Hopefully, that's what I'm shooting for.
I'm shooting for eternity, minus a day. So, I mean, I may be destined to burn in God's love. But hopefully not forever forever ever. Just like Not capital f. Lowercase f. It'd be nice. Let me shoot for You keeps you honest. Keep your keeps, you keeps you humble It's the humble part. Realize it, it's not you doing these things. We'll do says that counterflow is a, it's a piece. Discussing people in the right wing, discussing the Demonic generally after the right after
the recent ching. We have Buck Johnson in the chat. There's buck. Oh, there he is. This is a Greer piece on the attack on the on the Tucker latest episode, not sure if you mentioned that, I don't think so but we'll check it out. Hello buck. What was I say? I got distracted. The stuff kind of distracted me. I was like, oh, the manly man in the chat. Well, so, Context suffering. Deaths, not permanent. Tie a bow on that. I could we're gonna say yes.
Puking. Keep you it's okay I've screwed up. I should have been more using more code language earlier on. So God knows what happens with this on YouTube but We're doing so well and there's getting some headwind. And of course I just go ahead and just read the words written on some other page and all, you know, well, anyways, um, Again, I just this guy's all over the place. This runs counter, the public opinion. The religious right? Is affectively dead. Hmm, it can be.
It can do little to muster public support for abortion bands and does nothing to stop illegalized gambling. It's weird. You know, Line in the Sand. But okay. The mega base is much more secular than the GOP. Grassroots was 30 years ago, it loves well gargi tolerates homosexuality and a significant number of trump voters support, keeping legal, keeping abortion
legal. You will also knows a lot of bizarre behaviors among influencers and die hard followers, such as swinging, drug use, and other Tad reactivities Maga is far from Puritan. This isn't reflected online. When the consensus is, to imagine a new religious, right? Is taking over the country and it's ready to do battle with demons unlike the religious,
right. The online Moral Majority is in Guided by actual Faith leaders, it's led by laymen who may or may not go to church who may or may not lead a Christian Life and who may or may not learn their their theology from memes and Wikipedia now. Okay. There there's some, there's some validity here and this is kind of the ortho bro. Thing, we talked about the new
Orthodox circles in the dangers. There of people who are spouting off without permission for their priests, or their archery, or whoever, and not asking for certain permissions, not having to work the authority to speak for the church. Let alone speaking for on certain subjects. I had LinkedIn discussion with my priest before making this change over here for the live shows.
And one thing that we basically agreed upon and it's one thing, I keep checking in with him about is that I lack the authority, just speak on many of the subjects. What I can do is talk about my own personal experience, with them to whatever great degree I can. And then use let's say supplementary thinkers other other Church fathers because we enroll core who kind of highlight certain things. So I believe I've been doing okay with that and Father John wants to correct me.
He's well within his right to do so, There's a that thing about Authority. I think a big sticking point and I think is and I struggle with this sometimes too is that you have to kind of get used to it and I'm 48 years old and I've been running a podcast show of some sort of another for you know, three to four years now. You know, self-produced and the last year and a half or so. So I've gone and gotten used to just kind of doing what I want to do when I want to do it.
I have whatever guest on I want. You know, I don't have to ask permission, I Get the guests and off we go. And you know, that's more or less worked out. Arguably. But as you become more conscientious and was you and as you start to say that, oh that was a thing. I was gonna, I was saying before and this is actually circled back Pepsi.
Doesn't bother you good folks. I never know, beer actually helps me or hurts me. In the moment of drinking beer and doing shows, okay, I had a few yes today with Matt and proceeding a listen back to it, it's fine. But, you know, sometimes beer can give me some sort of clarity sometimes, you know, it's kind of focuses because you have to be focused on lobbying, sorry, I don't know, caffeine does the same thing, but anyways. Okay, little scattered.
The. The seeking for authority and the the necessity of saying that that this is not me, I'm a vessel, but this is God's show. And I was talking to someone a copy our this past Sunday about this. Sometimes you say these things and they're true, it's not that you were lying or just saying to say them but they were kind of
up here. They were kind of caught in the, you know, in the new sort of like you're you're thinking the things and you're saying the things and they're good and things, they're good things to think in and Believe on some of what you're not living them. It's the difference between saying I love you and feeling, I love you. And to give up without Authority. And somebody say that this is God show. God will do what he wants with this.
And I always need to see. not just permission's, but the Building that relationship with with my priest. Who is always my spiritual father, so the I don't start taking on things. I don't need to take on. Because when we're talking about demons and and fighting spiritual battles, there's great hazards. This this is not, this is not for the uninitiated again. What do we say on the scroll? Go to liturgy. Or go to church, at least talk to a priest.
Don't just take what I'm saying for anything. I'm not the authority. I am not an authority. You know, I will help. I hope I'm helping you helping leading some people or making people interested in certain things or helping them to know, direct them to go to church and talk to a priest. We're all good with that. but, You know, the there's limits to what I can what I can do for you and even if I was a j, Dyer a theologian. You know, when brilliant and all the rest of it, right?
Even if I was that which I'm not. But with let's say, I was for a second, even then I did the, the basic advice would still be go to church. Talk to a priest. You need the protection of the church. Something I learned the hard way last year. And even fasting, and observing. But being outside of the church, doing these things, doing these rituals and taking it very seriously. But exposes you to Danger. It's exposes you. 2 demonic attacks, which you don't have the discernment for Yeah.
Of course people have access to many Church fathers online and maybe you can send off a message or some of that and I know quite a few of them will make the time to answer things but they don't have a direct relationship with you. In the same way that a physical Breeze who you go to see in, you attend liturgy, every Sunday and you're building that relationship with him and then becomes your spiritual father and he becomes your God through your catechism.
He's gonna be the man who baptizes you That's a different relationship. That is an online. Person, even even with a very accredited and much. Beloved, Priest just like Father turbo or father, Moses or Father John Whiteford can go to the line, go to list. Many people I show on the show so obviously I have a great deal of respect and love with them. So, and they're teaching and their advice. But they're not here in Australia with me. They're not someone I can just
call on the phone. Go, what's going on? They don't see me every Sunday. So, you have to build that relationship because you understand that while there are General attacks and general ways, these these things operate, and there tend to be pretty brutal. Their playbook isn't that deep because it doesn't need to be because we keep following the same dumb traps, but How it may affect you individually, what your particular passions are.
And how you react to things and your particulars of your life, and all the rest of it and where you're at, and what you can do, and all the rest of it, and how well you do adaptive fast. And, you know, I'm supposed to not smoke cigarettes on Wednesdays and Fridays failing at the massively. I try. And I I say I try, I haven't, it's all here, it's things. I say not the things I do. It's a disconnect and I'm struggling.
We'll get there. And close says, did you think you could say these things on a platform and not get spiritually attacked all the turbo? Yeah yeah learn that one the hard way. Oh man. Oh, all last year just an aside 2024 started. the end of 2023 in the beginning of 2424, for me is just started with like every just like, And I had gotten spiritually aware and educated enough to know that like to kind of know what was going on. But theoretically going like, you know, is it's like again
it's here. It's not there, right? And you're seeing, he's going wait, is this what? Oh oh. No. It's the it's like the scene from The Simpsons like, I'm in danger. Yeah. Yeah. You are. And you think my dumbass would have like run to church then like no. No, I'm gonna read more. I got this, you know, you don't. All works through it. No, you won't. oh, I'll pray more. Which is good. Which prayers you say? Oh, well, you know I regret nothing.
Because it brought me to where I'm at and all things considered him, I'm doing pretty good. Doing good and getting better every in each and every way. so, maybe some times you have to You have to taste that sour to enjoy the sweet, you know? Um, but okay, so he's singing. I'm like religious religious, right? The Moral Majority is in Guided by actual face leaders, it's led by Layman, who may not go to church, Etc? Yeah, waiting.
That is problem. You make sure you're you're if you are talking to someone online check their button a few days go to an actual priest or Church Father and talk to them directly don't Jay Dyer will just probably just block you, but if you get silly, but I joke, I actually James fantastic. He's very, very kind, but just, you know, I would say it's fine enough to talk to, guys like me.
And you think, because I'm at my stage, maybe I'm closer to where you're at. I'm a more accessible, not true. And kind of why I do the show here in this, in this, in this kind of style but also realized, like I don't know nothing. I'm not really the guy who I'm not the doctor, you know, I'm a I'm not even a physician. I'm not even a nurse. I'm like, the, I'm like the night cleaner. Oh, I bought the floors. I do the windows. Hello. Yes, this is hospital.
It's it says, on the side I clean the sign too. That's that's about my layer of Expertise. Watermelon says, Jay Dyer, doesn't even read his Super Chat. You know, he gets a lot of Cool. Does your in Australia? What the heck? Interesting. Oh I like all these. I live here, sir. I'm not an Australian Australian although I might get I interested in conversational to just recently yesterday. Yeah. My involve me pursuing more theological education the near
future. So if I do that, then my citizenship and all that stuff here would help a certain things. So It might happen. I'll get a didgeridoo. He's coming. He come see, the show, won't die. I'm wearing me hat with me with the, with the Colts on it, and go on crossing my Look at this cracking. Some Fosters. Don't say that they hate that. They hate it. They hate it. They hate The Fosters jokes. That's why I say it all the
time. No, that's what they say to The Fosters. Just hey, you want to Fosters every single time? Shortly after Minnesota shooting Shannon and Shannon, Shannon Shannon posted unnecessary long essay on a necessary. Long unnecessary long what's that link? 500 pages asking whether Burning Man is demonic. Do you want to go there folks? I don't know if it's demonic but I do know the wrath of God visit
Burning Man this year. Did you know that the orgy 10 blue down and the sun was in the sandstorm? No joke, the orgy tent that was, you know, go to house. I think they said something disgusting number like a, like, A thousand people or something, like that was gonna be attending this orgy tent. And blew away. And then it rained. And then a guy showed up dead. Pretty man, this year was a little, something more and we
know what happened there. So sorry, we have the admissions shooting Burning Man was demonic. She of course, regularly attended the festival for years. But now she sees evil forces at work because it involves activities. Typical of any outdoor Festival. Such as sex, drugs and loud, music and eating children, what? She concludes that that it is in fact, demonic I've come to believe that burning man is not an eccentric Festival, but rather a powerful vehicle for deception.
In fact, it may be one of the most effective tools for Satan to Mr. X Souls away from our heavenly father When you surrender yourself to the to the plaque player, plaque player, player, you do not simply Embrace Freedom. You also open yourself to profound distortions of what is good. See, orgy, tent. I don't know who Shannon is here. Let's see. Who is this candy Huynh? He is Burning Man demonic by Nicole Shanahan. Oh, is that rfk's, Junior? Is that her?
Up. And now she's she was, she was an atheist rid of that or Spiritualist. Now she's a Christian. That's how long is this how unnecessary long is this? Hmm. You know what? A holler. We gonna be doing this or two hours. Rfk's. Old running mate, right? Yeah, okay. Hmm. Okay, I need to take a slight break. Let me take a slight break, we put something on for you. Let me put on a little father's spirit. I'll take a slight break. Stick around, we get back, let's
read. Shanahan's essay, unnecessary along this. But burning, man, because this is something actually, I wanted to get into my wife. Was sharing me some news about that. I saw about the murder thing, we talked about it a little bit and then she was like, always I didn't know about the orgy 10 thing going over. So, I think this is it's all connected. And of course, we still get to listen from Rose at some point. In the second half of the show. But we're on demons on the demons.
So let's get to, let's play a little bit of Father, Spirit of Bailey. Whatever another great Orthodox, father, who I greatly respect owned to his books. This is a little that and I'll be right back folks, put on the media break. That's better. A Sunday Gospel reading presents to us the 8th, chapter of The Gospel, According to Saint Luke, when Jesus encounters, the man who is possessed the demoniac. And of course, in that account, Jesus drives out the demons this Legion.
Of demonic forces that present in the land. Before we think about the meaning of this event, we should just first remind us that Jesus doesn't treat the man. As though. His possession is A symbol a metaphor. Jesus deals with the man directly that he is possess by real demons. It's extraordinary that we even need to say that. So far, has the world traveled from the truth of God the
reality? Of Christian teaching but so many people are willing to take onboard the psychological theories and ideas of our modern world that they then interpret these events or somehow symbolic or this is really about a psychological condition or really this is a metaphor for something else. Know, let us remind ourselves. Jesus. Confronted demonic forces. The demons responded to him and he drove them out. We cannot run away from the reality.
Of the spiritual forces around us acting in our lives. Influencing us longing. To drag us away from salvation. If we pretend, if we ignore. The spiritual reality will have vulnerable to it. but the man who is possessed, of course, is in a frightful terrible, hideous condition He injures himself, he cuts himself in another account of the possessed, boy. We see the boy being thrown into the fire, the demon seek to damage harm in your even the the physical well-being of the
person of his possessed. But there is a condition that is even worse than this. Saint Gregory palamas. Says to us. whoever disobeys God, whoever turns away from God. And refuses to repent. Belongs to Satan. Let's think on that for a moment, whoever continues to sin. Who chooses to sin? Who chooses not to repent. Belongs not to God but to Satan. Saint Gregory palamas warns us
of this. That is such an important part and it's something that again, that maybe people sometimes say and they hear and they go, oh, I've said it with the Prodigal Son returned, repent redeem, repent being that second part return to the father, repent of your sins but not just repent. In terms of confess, say you're sorry bear Witness. It's also to change your life. Now some sins are so attached to certain passions that we're struggling with that were
sickened with that. They'll take a long time to work out. And maybe by the time you are proposed. You still struggling with them. Many such cases, some great stories of I'll try to find it for another stream because I don't want to it's a good such a good story. I don't want to miss tell it but essentially of a of a monk was a drunk And the other monks and get upset, that he's almost giving sort of leeway.
And anyways, there's a really good story of it all, I'll find the exact telling of it, and read it out for future stream, but maybe when we get to prayer and the same Manassas, but that repenting is so important because it's not just saying your story and bearing witness. It's changing your life by increments. Addressing it.
You know, we don't say to the cancer patient if they're in some sort of remission or if they're struggling along with his disease that oh, well, you're not well yet enough. Ha ha you suck. You suck as a cancer patient. Look at you. You're not getting better. Now, we might say that. Students I have lung cancer. We might say that if someone has cancer let's say as lung cancer is a smoker has has cancer as just puffing away and making no
changes their life. And seems to be almost Doing everything they can to to, to to, to get to the end as fast as possible. Then we might hold criticism. And say look you got this disease, you know, it's gonna kill you, you got a family wife and all this other people to take care of and you've just given up.
You know, doing anything to change anything. it's quite often, you know, I don't know about you and your relationships and your wives or whatever, but like that's often complained, Other husbands I've heard have received from their wives. I was saying, yeah, but you're not, you know, you're not doing enough. To address certain things.
Aren't you trying to get better? if you recognize the church and going to the church and liturgy and receiving communion and Being baptized and receiving the sacraments is in a form. Is the number one way to to heal and address spiritual illness. That is part of your repentance. To go to receive and to change. To turn towards Christ. Not away from him. To walk that Royal path is narrow as it is. To go forward. And somebody should be pulled to the sides. And You know, reach impasses.
But your we continue. We struggle, we suffer. But we're moving forward to something that the greatest payoff in the world. Which is to be with what, which is to be with God. Because he says, when we choose to refuse to refer to repent, what we are doing, is reshaping ourselves reshaping ourselves, according to the the image and likeness set, before by Satan, not by the image, and likeness of God. We are rejecting the, the very nature with which God has created us.
When we refuse to repent. And so we set we put ourselves in Gregory palamas says in a worse condition than even those who are possessed. It is almost hard to believe that there could be a worse condition. but, Because in some ways you could say someone who's possessed and maybe they're they're activities are, you know, their past sins and
behaviors of led to that. But someone who's possessed is a little is a, I wouldn't say blameless but It's hard to say that their, it's their fault, the demon, possessing them. Like they're literally possessed by a demon demons doing things, and wearing them like a pants, like a skin suit. but those who turn away from God, who aren't possessed, who could be doing something and yet, are consciously not doing that thing, rejecting it for the pleasures of Flesh.
Or comforts. Its Delights in us because three, the material rewards because we liked our comfy bed. We like to eat what we want to eat, whenever we want to eat it. you want to do whatever you want to do without thinking of repercussions, whether we can mindful The more mindful the more humble, you get, the more, the more you recognize that all everything you do and how you are can upset and disrupt people. Big lesson for me. I have that effect on people. Or so, I'm told.
I know that. And it's okay as an aside. Showboat me folks, it's all about me in some way, shape, or form. So I was permitted to say talk about so that's what I'm talking about. I've tracked this now. A little bit. is, I think it was one of those things where I was kind of always the odd kid, you know? Born to a blue collar family, maybe a bit more precocious and, you know, verbally intelligent than, you know, the kids at school. My class put me on the odds. In a raised by mostly by my
grandparents. you know, divorce family, always keeps you at all being part of Gen X always kind of iconic classic and you know, Chip on the shoulder, kind of modality. All these things, kind of permeate and add to it. And then this is not me saying it's not my falter Hollywood. I think it's at some point. I realized that I just had this personality that quite easily could be caustic, could ease.
And so part of, you know, being Easter and peeing or being raised by Eastern Europeans and being very blunt. Which is in Canada, you know? Not saying sorry enough. So, I'm not fitting into that. Anglo Franco culture always feeling outside of everything. so, I kind of I think for for a long time, I just Would have this person that would put people off and I didn't know why. So I just started to assume I was gonna put you off and in fact I would just do start doing it.
Deliberately because I can't understand and maybe because I'm almost like sub autistic and terms of emotional range. Like, I don't understand why I'm upsetting people, well, you know what effort? I'm just gonna upset you I'm gonna go on my way to upset you. I'm gonna make sure I have set
you and then I'll always, I'll know why you're upset. because I called you freaking what we're And I know it's it's a weird thing but as far as I can tell from my own armchair analysis of me, over the last over the last year, that seems to be true. That I, you know, I just would assume that we're going to have this following out. I'm gonna force it. So, you know, These all know. Why? Why we're having this problem? I did. Me me, me, me, me, me, me me. Are the center of every world.
Who says I sort of like the slaves. I've met bluntness, people always walking on eggshells can be tiresome. It's an interesting thing was because we do it, I think it really depends. I'll put it this way from my and this from my experience. There's a distinct difference of. Let's say Slavic families, whose families came over before or very early on. Like free Soviet or early Soviet. You know, me the first wave of dysphoria. My grandfather famous would born in Canada 1916. Right?
So his family came over, you know, either, right, right at the time or right before, we don't know exact days. And there. That's where you really encounter that sort of bluntness, like almost harsh. You know with family members you most laws will tell you this and this is this is common enough. I've heard I've heard this my own family and certainly our version of this and I've heard other people say this. And so I think it's commonly
true at some point as a child. You're gonna you're you, you're you're saving, family will turn you and go don't smile so much. Why you smiley Smiling is for idiots or people who are going to rob you, what don't don't smile so much. Don't be so happy. Why you happy? It's just that kind of thing, right? So on some ways it's blunt and it's harsh, borderline cruel. Some people would argue in the river Western context, but it's also I mean, but there's a lot of love their concern.
I think what I've also seen in Slavs who are maybe brought up longer in the Soviet experiment. They're very veiled like, very almost standoffish. Like everything is A test emotional tests like there they're not quite sure about you. There you know they talked almost in riddles. It's like very Yoda stuff. You know. Yes. Oh if you like to do this, you Yes. You know, it's I can't, I can't think of it.
Clear, example. But it's that and I think it's just because Soviet them did that to people, where everyone's everyone's everyone could inform on you. You know, walls are very thin on purpose. Romanians are spooked to this day. They're very kind of people skittish. And I don't blame them, you know what you read, what they went through, and it's like that would do a number on you, you know? It's explains a lot of geopolitics special with the Eastern Europeans hunger.
You know, hungry's mostly Slovenia Poland, even you know, let's goes on, you can see how it affects How the West and Europe is trying to deal with them as if they're just standard Europeans, like if they ever were which I doubt but let's just say there was some sort of commonality you know, in 1850 that's gone now. They went through a thing that maybe you're about to go through. but it's a it's a much different mentality. Let's put that way.
Kind of flow, says going to Russian a few weeks. Oh, my goodness. I was told don't smile all the time. They'll be suspicious of you. Told you. Smiling is for stupid people for for idiots and thieves. Why are you smiling so much? The demoniac, when he cuts himself when he harms himself these physical injuries on your trap. Sing. Good Palomas reminds us there is An order of injures with that is far worse than any physical injuries. But the demons can cause the
possessed man to cause himself. Injuries. To the soul. We wound us ourselves. We we injure ourselves spiritually when we sin and refuse to repent, Sink. Fear found the recluse says to us that There are two things. We must either not sin. Or if we sin, we must repent. This is the only way to Salvation. And since you are going to sit None of us is capable of not sinning. so therefore, every one of us must repent, lest we fall into a condition worse Than the
man who is possessed. There is so much about it. That is worse. When the man who is possessed, throws himself around and froths at the mouth and speaks Terrible Things. His behavior. His appearance is very apparent, is frightful. stirs, but those who refuse to repent. Their injures, their wounds that condition can go unseen. It can be an invisible condition. Though, far worse. And sing Gregory palamas says to us. Let us remember. When we give ourselves to the
demons this way. We may enter. An eternal condition. The man who is possessed and Gregory palamas says, Will be free to death or maybe free to death depending on how he has become possessed of course. But possession is not an eternal condition. However, Gregory Palma says to us, if we shape our soul in such a way by refusing to repent, This condition that we have entered into. Will continue on after death into eternity into judgment and Eternity.
Our refusal to repent. Is to embrace Satan, is to embrace. Evil is to give ourselves. To everything that is opposed to God. But let's think about the story again. When Jesus encounters the man. We see in the demons. Are Panic. They Panic they they would draw for him. There are afraid of him. they are afraid of Christ, because Of course, first of all, they know who he is, they recognized him. But he has the power and
authority. To drive them out to do with them as he Wills. Not just a power but Authority. This word keeps coming back around. Not just show but my life and I think in Christianity in general and quite often, I think what we see. But I'll leave the Roman Catholics alone. I'll do a whole show about that which on Jade rme with J dire time of the RC and continuing that conversation. But we see this quite often in the in in the many Protestant
faiths. It's certainly infected the Aggregates now, but but at least the anglicans had sort of a hierarchical structure Bishops and it was, you know, I famously say angling the Anglican tradition or the Church of England tradition is very much like the Catholics with no Pope.
I know there's other substance is but to me is an outside looking in that kind of the thing that I first, my first note but as you get outside of that, And certainly, as you get even outside of the more traditional conservative Progressive schools Lutheran's Calvinists Etc.
If you can still call them that you get into more of the downstream ones and then into the weird Christian, Cults that are really just venerating Christ and on actually worshiping him The Joy was Witnesses, the Mormons. Many Evangelical schools charismatics. Where's your Authority? Then go, the Bible. The Bible's my authority and past your Bob who reads from that Bible and maybe Pastor Bob's a great guy. He's a wonderful. He's a mensch.
What a lovely guy with Pastor Bob is and the community you have is wonderful and great. This is kind of the thing that I'll be I'll just say this very, very quickly. I you know, when I throw stones sometimes at different denominations, it's really just at the theology itself and the entitlements, which I see the danger within these entailments
of a bad theology. It's never really, really at the people In certain individuals aside because I realized that look, I was an atheist for 32 years. In one shape or another. I was a I was a very outspoken and my I wasn't public, but at that time. But I was certainly in private my own personal life. I was a very, very spirited anti-theist. I have said some horrible things about religion, god of the church, Etc. but I'm still, I'm going to be repenting for the
day I die. That's my Redemption article. All that being said. How dare? I, Say to even even a charismatic, someone who's just like, you know, talking in tongues. Rolling around the floor. That's just to me very weird and destructive behavior on them in many cases and spiritually destructive. But you know what? Here's one thing. They really believe in Christ. They fall. Get into that. Let's take some of the little less crazy. Let's take a let's take a good Lutheran.
Or good Calvinists, who was believed in their entire life in this and they have believed in loved Christ and gone to church and giving to the community and done all the things that they're supposed to do. And even if I can sit here and go, well, you'll see ology dog poop. Yeah, but they were way more Christian for way longer than I was. It really came down to it. There was only room with heaven for, for two other, for two or One More Story, and was down to them and me.
Probably them. Who gets it? Certainly, if you go back 10 years ago, it was definitely them. So, I say all that. just kind of caveat because I know sometimes when you talk about these things, yeah, it's it's almost hard to talk about these things and not sound harsh. Or overly critical.
Or, you know, people take it personally and I get that. and I don't want to be the I don't, you know, what a book famously say one time, that it's easier to talk a man out of church and talk him into it. So I certainly don't want to be one of these people who they look to and go. Ah you're one of those bad Ortho guys who are always criticizing but never giving love never, you know.
There was someone in the chat on Kik yesterday and I think it was just I'm not gonna spend too much time on the thing about it. Because he sings weird things in the chat as as things as, as people. Do you track some interests. It's not always not always good. but, I kind of got costed with him, like, just go away. And they followed up and go away. I'm trying to learn Now, I have a pretty good suspicion. That that person if that was a really a person, let's just say it was a person.
Was not being. True. Fully honest, let's say. But they could have been. And that's on me for not going. Okay. Better than it would for a second. What is it cost me? Nothing. To address someone in the chair. Simple. Right. Talking to someone out of the church, not into it. What am I doing the show for Is it only Reach people who are already going to liturgy? Well, you're already going to liturgy, probably don't even either show. I'm glad you're here.
Don't go away. So she'll reach a joke. Oh, someone just said me a tip over on streamlabs or over on PayPal, which is the way you can do it. So I don't I don't like saying their names out loud. Just in case, I'm pretty sure that there's the same name that use on the chat but just in case I won't say the name of his. Thank you. You know who you are. And here's your joke riddle. Why is your heart like a policeman? Because it follows a regular beat. Oh, and yesterday too I think
was trees tree surgeon. Sent me a sent me. A very generous tip on streamlabs. I even saw it in the chat. I didn't read it out. So this is a post. Belated. Joke, riddle, hopefully they get it. Why does it electric what does an electric rabbit say? What's up Doc Watson watts. And This is a print folks. This is probably cost you over 1000 dollars now. EBay. Should auction it off at the end of the show. Uh, cool, dudes. As I don't talk much about it because it makes me sound crazy
to most, but I've had bad sleep. Paralysis experience, is that? I'm pretty sure we're demonic calling on Christ, brought it. And yeah, well, if you call it on crisis and it ends There's your answer. He is Golden Corral, I'm confronted with the Holiness of God, the demon shriek out. They're terrified. But this story reminds us that Just as Christ has the power and authority. Drive out the demons from the possessed, man to heal him.
So to he has the power and the authority to heal every one of us of those sins and passions that have entered the very depths of our soul. Those sins for which we have continually returned. Those sins that have become habits and Passions. Christ has the power to deliver us to heal us. To bring us to completion to hold us. There will give back to the article's. But that's again, going back to that. That term the authority to do these things. The authority over reality
itself. Over both the spiritual, the metaphysical, and the physical. And these two things are truly one in the same. The Authority from the father. from the From God, who created to the Sun. Who is our representative in many ways, our interaction. and with the Holy Spirit itself as well, To deliver us to guide us. And in some cases to intercede for us. Directly. In case of demand and possessed
by demons. in the case, cool saying that, you know, believes that he's having sleep paralysis being attacked. So that Jesus prayer calls upon Christ and gone. Now, the secularist or the materials might say well that's just a placebo effect. But the placebo effect is real, no one can explain that either. Hey man, I'm a big believer in if it works. It works. If it feels like a demon talks, like a demon acts like a demons to have demonic results. Call it demon.
Oh, but Spirit. It's a demon. It's evil. It's a metaphysical form of. Boogie Woogie. Whatever floats your boat. Cool. Yeah, it's that Well, it is that if your brain chemistry is manifesting itself as as that, then you're going to need your brain, chemistry manifest other spiritual forms rituals to combat that, right? Goes to think. It's all just neurochemistry, right? So okay. Placebo effect. Use it to your advantage. Why not? What's big deal? But here's what you your preferences.
If it works, it works. Let's Nicole. Shanahan saying about the is a burning man, demon demonic Or Bounce Around we'll get to Father's Day for Rose. It. Probably our nine. This is gonna be a quick one, too. I was like, oh, I'll just do like three hours. I said that last time I said that last night too, and like almost seven hours. So Strap in, folks. We're here for a ride. I'm here for a good time, and a long time. Look at that. Good animal. Is Burning Man.
Demonic short answer. Yep. From Nicole Shanahan. It's Burning Man weak again the man will burn this Saturday. As it does every Saturday before Labor Day. I used to be a devoted burner having intended Faithfully every year from 2014, through to, through 2022, minus one year due to covid. Is Burning Man. Demonic is a question I see floating around several Christian circles and as a newly baptized Christian, I've been asking myself the same question.
She even begin. Unpacking, that question. Several prerequisites. For these theological, understanding are necessary and please excuse me as I'm a new Christian currently devouring Largemouth of Christian literature and trying to educate myself. So bear with me as I navigate and unpack the overlay of theology on my own personal experience of burning, man, man. Maybe she had Mmm. Although, it should be probably better to talk about books. Books presents better.
On the nature of demons, Satan and evil. I found CS Lewis's, the screw tape letters. There's another thing that keeps popping up, you may have to read that too. And its companion, essay screwtape, proposes, a toast to be helpful illustrations of Satan at work. I recognize that Lewis was the end of the day, just a man and a novelist yet, his gift lies in the way. He translates spiritual truths into language that the everyday person can grasp is ability to
frame. The Unseen in terms, we can see and feel is nothing short of remarkable. a place something by Father, John that deals directly with Screw tapes letters. Lewis portrays demons as subtle manipulative beings who exploit humans weaknesses rather than overly monstrous entities in the screwtape letters, held an organization with established hierarchies laws and menus, for the consumption of Souls.
And the work of demons is not always allowed or obvious but quite often, but quite often quite patient and calculated aimed always at one thing, the slow devouring of our god-given souls. On the quality of Souls.
The greats and toothsome, sinners are made out of the very same material, as those horrible phenomena, the great, the great Saints Lewis 188. This suggests that the most delectable Souls were devils are the or those with strong passionate qualities, whether for good or for evil, as they provide more substance to Feast on. on the satisfaction of consuming robust, sinners It was a Souls of such as these that when we got them, that tasted so rich.
So spicy, so, full body. Screwtape laments, the decline of quality of modern, Souls reminiscing about the flavorful essence of historical figures like fart. Like farting, Tina, or Hitler, who was intense? Personality is made them a feast. On the disappointment with modern Souls, the soul of the sort of soul. I grew up on we got we got from a tragedy. Something was something, was some real guts to it. So something that would make your mouth water. Here's group, Kate screwtape
contrast. The blend had his Souls a modern times, the more robust hate Fields Souls the past or more satisfying to consume. Now, let's return to how Burning Man works. Is often described as more of more than a mere Festival, many of you as a spiritual experience and call it home. I remember my first rival in Black Rock City, volunteer crew, of burners, greeted me, inviting me to ring a great Bell role in the dusty sand and declare.
I'm not a virgin anymore in that moment, I was welcomed home. Interesting. Uh, I'm not a virgin anymore. Where is it? Hmm. Hmm. Rolling in the dirt, declaring your impregnation, I don't know your your coitus with the with the Dust. With the festival itself. One of my first experiences, there was boarding. An art car, a double decker bus dressed up as a dragon.
It carried me to my camp and I still can feel the warmth of the sun, on my skin, the software of the fabric and the Desert Wind and a strange, almost Living spirit of that Dragon boss. I guess this is it. Everyone was so friendly on the bust on the bus. Perfect strangers smiling talking as if they had known one another for years, beautiful men and women radians in their freedom, sharing drinks, snacks
and little Playa gifts. The artwork is otherworldly and the structures emerge seemingly Out of the Dust. I had never experienced anything close to this before. It sounds like this weird childlike thing, right?
I got, you know, I've had experience going to Raves back in the late 90s and I guess very early 2000s and taking, you know, the things you take at Raves and and then you kind of reduce you to that kind of childlike, Everything feels good, you know, very Like toddler kind of kind of levels of things. That weird perverse. Infantilization of the of the adults. Is almost Obsession of the inner child. So you're mixing like, in some ways childlike behavior on a
school bus, right? Kind of thing. Yay, whoo. And with, I'm not a virgin anymore. So sexualizing childlike images and sort of experience is motifs. Even as an adult We're already getting into really murky, moral Waters here. Bill Hicks says, can you just repeat the last two and a half hours of a bit late? Well, we're to start Bill, here's the thing Bill, isn't you
miss this? If you send me a super chat or whoever sends me a Super Chat, they get a joke and a riddle read out from the great big super book of jokes and riddles. oh, bangers, such as these What do you get if you cross a hyena and a colleague? And animal that lasts through Lassie movies. To be certain age to get these things. Dating myself. This book sold a gen xers written by Boomers. But you only get one of those if you send me that. So, He sent his three lives. Let me know.
Is not, I don't know. The alerts aren't working that. Well, don't know why. I can't fix it. So, anyways, here's a little video. So let's just mute this because YouTube. So, you know, yeah, silly people hanging out on a bus dress, like perverted children. Stupid boots. Why? Just yeah. No. there was a time when I would have been very attracted to this and now I just look at it going oh Can you get a sweater like, I know it's a desert but kind of give you a
blanket and some soup. I feel like you just need a blanket in the soup. It's like it's the middle of summer in a desert, I know, but you need a blanket and some soup. It just, I feel like you need. I think I feel like you just need to be comforted somehow. Cared for and some sort of humble, but yet nurturing way, like I just feel like that's what you need. It's like you've been through it, a great disaster and you just need like one of those medical blankets and little
little cup of soup. Just broth. Add. And I know ladies, you think this is sexy and all that stuff and I know many, many would agree. Yeah, look. Oh it's just you're just young. Just young, you don't need all this. That's the thing. Watermelon says Jason for whatever reason. Why TQ censoring me, when I use the Serpent's name, I'll give it one more go. If I'm not mistaken, the serpents and body movement was either male or female. YouTube is doing weird things. Now The chat.
I had a chat, um, blacklisted on in books show this morning when he was doing his Premiere part of this evening, whatever time he was looking at it. I and I said, like in parentheses. So I said neutral and I was like, oh that's a Jim Bob reference and a blacked out, Jim Bob reference in Brackets. Hmm. Magical Browns, running YouTube, all of a sudden nothing works. Is this thing on as was working? Is it? I don't know. Wild. Huh. Yeah, I and I pay 16 bucks a
month for that service. That's great just so I don't have freaking ads. So, listen to my phone. Go follow me on Kik. Everyone who's doing this either now or in the future, go over to kick.com follow me there. My instruct now easy to find. You don't want to all the ads and stuff. That kick doesn't do the ads. Help me get the numbers up there, you know, I honestly think unless and it proved me wrong, right?
Maybe maybe in six months, everything on YouTube is great, they're just doing the thing and it's gonna be wonderful, I don't know. Um, but the way it's looking I, I don't I doubt it I think this, this this thing is a platform is is Heading for Myspace Waters. So follow me on on Kik. There's options out there. If you're having farm trouble, finding me now. Has been struggle for all year. Why? I don't know. Um, you know, I fixed all the things I can fix.
So anyways and that's not me like whoa is me. I'm just like, you know, and this is, you know, not even just watching my show, all your favorite streamers and stuff on YouTube. I think these days are numbered As a platform. I just, I don't see a future. So, But hey, we're here. So I'm glad you're here with me. Okay, living in the Bay Area at the time. The only opportunity I would get to see this many people in motion was during the commute hours yet.
There was movement yet here moving was, different not selling, not weigh down. Thousands of people moved about with smiles, Intoxicated by freedom and joy and navigating, the city of black rock with it within a female error, and lots and lots of Narcotics as a sensory.
Experience burning man hits all of them in a very short fraction of time, not by coincidence, especially if you're from Silicon Valley, where so much of life, unfolds and doors and in front of screenshots, if you feel like a sudden emerging back into the elements out there under the Desert Sun, people often receive more vitamin D in a single week, then they might otherwise in months back home. I know that was true for me, my first year, when I became hooked on the experience.
But most people who come to Burning, Man, are in some ways searching for some, it's a search for identity or self-expression for others. It may be healing from loss or simply a desire to break free and let loose Burning. Man is compressed is a compressed version of the most exciting EDM concert you've ever been to aesthetic. Dance classes, yoga lessons group therapy sessions expensive Arts, installations visits the red light district and alcohol and drug fuel nights at with friends.
Yeah. Even going back 10 Rod years. The only two things that would have enticed me as a is, well probably the red light district before I was married and the alcohol and drug fuel nights. I was like yeah but see I got told with this thing like 25 years ago by people who were going to it, I'm thinking that was right early days, right? and that time I was a full-on to generate and So you know sure.
So you know, all things are talking about But I believe my response at the time was like, wait, you have to go where to do this like in the middle of the desert. Down this lonely road. I'm like, in the desert. There's a rave, there's a rave going on down the street. Like I have a pant. Look, look, there's a tells you where to go. It's just the freaking where it's like a 15 minute cab ride. We could go there right now. Do all the drugs and stuff and dance around.
You wanna go to a Visa or, you know, there's there's like entire place is dedicated to this thing that aren't in a desert. Why are you going to a desert? I can't tell you how many, how many probably horrible maybe deaf experience is. I avoided just because people are like, hey, let's go do this thing. I was like, what? No. No. Where is that? It's in a desert. It's in the middle of middle of a force. You mean with a bears are no? He'll be fun. No.
Lots of girls are there. There's lots of girls everywhere. But we have this, we have this rooms of I could do shrooms in my house when he talked about it's my living room. Come on. Well, why you always going places? Where there's bears and deserts, and die of dehydration. Why are you doing this voluntarily? If God sends you go, God sent me here. I came Okay. I said all right I'll leave you all come to Australia for family that other sure. Yeah I mean and I'm hearing, you know what?
We got a house and I stay in the house. Why I pay for this thing? At times when people are generous with the tips, thank you. But, you know, that I came here to live here in the house. It's nice. Like it. So we're all my stuff is I go out there. I don't have all my stuff. I need something. Oh, it's back at the house. See if I stayed at the house, it wouldn't have been problem. Bush's. There's a series of Ozzy slang for you, folks.
Bill Hicks says, I must admit the part of the appeal to Bush from me, was the ACT. They're all in the middle of nowhere. Yeah. Well, you know We're different. I also have never drank out of a goon bag and never will or do a Shoei bill, I don't know. The concept to me is, is vile. What? Oh you drink you drink champ, you drink beer out of a shoe like were you forced to, like, Was that the only way was it did
it come in a case? So wait the beer that came in a bottle in a can that you could have drunk out, he put into a shooting drink up. The what is what is wrong? With the people. Oh, drink out again. Back for those who don't know, goon bag is, they'll is the lining, the wines in the Box one. It's like that was sort of a cooler wineskin thing. And someone Australians drink out of it. The thing. Ah, yeah, canning. They need to check out the Goon bag.
I'm like Why? Because you didn't, which was your shoe wet, Did you have any shoes? No shoes around. I just oh, What do I not? Leave the house. I don't know. When I say compressed, I don't just mean within the span of a week, what unfolds on the plot player player, whatever the name gives the Black Rock Desert with a desert, with a burning man is held. Feels like an entire lifetime distilled into mirror hours. A single Playa Iowa can carry
the weight of countless parties. One night stands, profound conversations and fleeting moments of human connection. This is why after burning man ends, long-term burners usually will attend decompression parties. Which continued the communal living, partying, sex, massage is deep and longing, connections on Brattle and confessions to one another and training affection. These can go on for several days or in some cases even weeks I stopped do it. All your own whatever.
It all sounds intoxicating doesn't it unbridled ecstasy. Shared communal, shared communally offered as a principle of human experience. A sensory Feast, a kind of temporary Utopia, but here's the catch. What feels like Transcendence in the moment is in truth, the flesh at its fullest raw desire, fleeting connections, indulgences. Without Anchor, It dazzles and overwhelms, but it does not last, and it never will when the dust settles. The hunger always returns a hunger. Interesting.
It's always food food. Hunger eating Its fast for me, right? So fasting, suspension of some fruits and you'll meet no Dairy No alcohol. I'm not overly strict on the oil. But yeah, trying to know oils. So it's interesting how The Hunger. Hunger. Eating always comes back, right, cannibalism? They the same. Satan is looking to eat your soul, the demons want to eat, you always hungry hungry,
wanting gluttony. Oftentimes, they say with the passions, you know, is so quick rundown, passions that Rome is one understanding the sort of said, seven, deadly sins. You may have heard of that one, right? For those who were not an orthodox or educated thereof, so things like gluttony, Everest greed Pride vainglory, Missing here, Wrath. Is a few others, we'll get to it. When we talk, we read death of
the world but The gluttony. oftentimes people say the pride right prize A sin or the passion of that made Lucifer fall. As a big one and certainly one that's cake in to almost everything Pride being Glory starts on untangle, those, those connections. It's like it's the it's the worst iPod disaster ever. Like oh, I don't even know where to start. How did that? Get nodded up there. There's a cat in here.
What? So those are big ones, but the one that is persistent constantly because you have to eat is gluttony. It's really easy to overeat. To eat until you're full. And then some To drink more than you have to. Watermelon says, I'll come on. Jay Z. You got to do is shoot. No, I don't have to know. I can I can I will tell you something, watermelon. I don't live with regrets warm melon, sorry, warm melon. I don't really live with regrets. I don't believe in them.
But if I did, And I died tomorrow. One thing I would not regret. It's never doing a shoe. I would more likely much more likely like if I were a betting man I would bet on me drinking out of a goon bag. Weigh more. I bet the house on that probability then doing a shoe he ever willingly. You could tie me down and force me to but that's not me. Do it a shoe that's you. Forcing me to do a shoe. I'm not going to drink out of a shoe. Know. I'll go, I'll go thirsty for a bit. I'll be fine.
They're gonna button. So that hunger Motif keeps coming back. To find interesting for civil years. I camped at Founders Camp. Our first camp. Let's give me located at Esplanade, and five o'clock, BlackRock cities mapped out as a precise grid concrete. Constant a little concentric half-circles marked by letters crossed by rows laid out like little hours of a clock. First Camp is more likely is more than just a location. It's a it is the nerve center
burning man. The administrative and business Hub. That quietly runs the entire event. Sting it. First came before me a unique opportunity to spend time with leadership. I camped alongside Larry Harvey. The co-founder Burning Man and Marion Goodale, the current CEO. I would often early life, history, checks please. I would often find myself in personal conversations with him over meals in the dining tent or lounging the common spaces yet.
Over time it became clear that the first Camp was known by Logistics, it was also a place of access where celebrities and dignitaries Tech Founders movies Stars diplomats and even royalty were hosted. The day-to-day operations at Burning Man. All carried, Waukee all carried, walkie-talkies and community and communicated issues, affecting the events such as arrests injuries, deaths, accidents, missing person, complaints, and other concerns.
It was always busy bustling and hectic the Old Guard of Burning, Man. Now includes several people in their 60s and 70s and they would continue continually welcome new leadership. Most young people burn out, do the way to responsibility. It isn't all fun and games hosting such a massive and detailed event is a year-round
commitment. For several, dozen people. the Old Guard is treated in an almost mythical fashion by newcomers, who loved hearing about the founding stories and all the crazy years when things were really wild, We didn't even have an orgy tent, we just did it on the open, right? On the right on the dirt. Picking out. Boom. Boom. Does your crack for months on end? It was great. True burners cloaked themselves. Their play a name, it's part of a chosen, family forged in the desert. Hmm.
So, rolling around the dirt. Declaring your declaring you're no longer version. Strange playing around with like childhood themes. Inner child, this kind of stuff. Sensory. Being overpowered by sensory by sensory information. Loss Will Behavior. Everything to do with the flesh. Desires. Right. Feeding your desires gluttonous. You're always hungry. There's always more to feed. and now, Renaming yourself. Almost a Christian right being christened. Sounds pretty to me, pal.
I don't know about demons, but this sounds like a cult play. A name is chosen family Forge the desert. Sometimes, I never even knew the real names of people, I can't decide. Crimson, for example, the woman who was, who has overseen pyrotechnics since the 90s were long, white braids, and rape, radiated a maternal presence. She once handed a baby blanket for my daughter and yet, after all these years, I still don't know, do not know her name Beyond crimson. So again not accessing the true
person, right? Accessing this sort of like false false self that you wear at this event. Don't train the crew later. Burning man, just saying that oh I miss you. I said something like I was told about this 25 years ago I thought that's why I thought it had started. I guess this thing has been going on since the whatever Lord, Lord, help me with this next state. This next paragraph. Yes, there are constant orgies Constant.
Yes, drugs are consumed, and staggering quantities, and yes, sexual assault and rape occur at Burning Man along with tragic often, preventable deaths, new disease everywhere in the middle of a desert. Really, an idea, overdoses happens, so frequently that they rarely interrupt a party or shut down a camp. Responsibility. These people do chewies say, I'm just saying these people would do a Shoei. Like, you know, Probably produce the shoe from places you don't want to shoot a come from.
Yes, many openly practice magic, something spiritual entities. As if for entertainment self-proclaimed, healer is abound offering their versions of medicine and ritual occult symbols and ceremonies are practiced. So frequently that become ingrained in the fabric of daily life. Hey, nothing to see here folks. It's all just brain chemistry. It's all just people weird people doing weird stuff, right? It's not really real. They're just moving the Ouija board around.
Bring chemistry. If they believe it, and they practice it. They're doing something. They're doing something that they that they believe in. They're going secularists, right? You know again Boogie Woogie woo okay. Whoo. They believe it, they will manifest things, or they will do things and go. It was my spirits It was a universe, tell me to do the thing. Right. Mental unwellness here. Seems to be on full display. It. But it's a party with a bunch of
white people. Mostly, let's let's be real. This is a white. It's a white thing. I'm sure other other races are. Are representative of the event. But this screams stupid white people, right? Naked in the desert stupid white person. But what's it the presence of these things alone make Burning Man demonic? I mean, I just, you just listed off a whole bunch of things right there.
You know, they don't have to actually want to Grape an angel for it to be, you know, full-on Sodom again or they can, they can fall short of that and still be in the ballpark, right? Will answer that question a little later, but I know that Burning Man did to my spirit and to my brain and it was not good. I think just being an event where there's like, persistent orgies all around. That would do something to you, right? Like imagine you're saying
you're at a party. And there's an orgy breakout and you're like, okay, whoo, whoo. Oh, that's an orgy. Well, that's crazy. And you like, okay, well you know what? Crazy people. You walk down the street. In other words you pops up. Whoa wait whoa. There's like two of them. Separate too guys. Should combine forces. Shouldn't you maybe not? You know he walked down the street. There's another one. Yeah. She's what the heck is going on here? What is How many?
How there's what more you do, what? How did? Seems like a lot of orgies. Persistently too. It won't go away. There's everywhere you just step one? Ah another orgy. Got to get that off the shoe. Well, everything started playful. It playful me playfully for me at Burning, Man. The truth, is that dark and terrible things happen.
Nearly every year, I attended my very first year, I heard about a young woman who was running to try to jump into an art car and got sucked into its undercarriage and died. Another man another year a man hurled himself into the fire and died. a one year, a girl, impaled her It's not funny but it's hilarious at the same time. Sorry. oh, I'm gonna say this one. Okay. Don't read these things on a past day. Maybe one year a girl impaled her Veggie.
On rebar. Attempting to build something that she had no experience constructing. Lord of Mercy. Although I never personally experienced any of the orgy, Dome events. Uh-huh, sure. Shannon Hanahan Okay, I believe her, but yeah. Not even what I mean. Apparently you would even know. You're at one. You are just having, you know money, your own business, drinking some tea or like watching some girl and paler herself with a. He's a robot who looks at what?
How this happened? No, I will not take my pants off. What go away. Orgy spray. Yeah. Inch key and lobster says how dare Owen rat out Alex to Hillary is disgusting. No idea what you're talking about. I think I don't want to. Thanks Pinchy. Thanks for the news update. Okay. So I never personally experienced any of the orgy Dome events? I heard unsettling accounts from those who did.
Stories of encounters with people who seemed in their words possessed, even with moderators present to prevent outright abuse. Some described locking eyes with people engaged in sex who seemed to have no soul and this is, I think this is scenes from the orgy Dome of this year like a blown Yep. Hey active, God is still a thing that can happen when you have insurance. You have to get active God, Insurance to prevent, you know, the same thing happened. What's amazing is how big this
thing is. like I think one of the reports I read burning man's, all the words you don't blows down Okay apparently as big enough to house, like an absurd amount of people like a 1000 people or something like that. Just like because they have mattresses and stuff. I saw the picture of like a year years passed and it's the big tent thing and they have all these matches on the ground. I'm like, oh, Imagine being the guy who has to clean that stuff. All No blue. No blue lights.
Just like I can't get the shades on the backlight out of here. What are you doing? No. Bill Hicks says, Last Bush. Do, I went to bushed off by the ways on Australia's playing for like basing outdoor rape or, you know, Mass party in the bush last Bush. If I went to before I rocked up, someone in the middle of the day, In the middle of the desert. Some guy was just driving headfirst into the ground continuously. Like, slamming his head into the ground. Why do you not leave the house?
Why does Jason leave the house? He's these stories and it's not because I'm in Australia, has happened was sort of happening in Canada, too. Even before covid. I was like, I don't I've seen a lot I've bars and stuff. I've seen a lot of stuff I've done some stuff and I've heard and seen more stuff and I'm like I don't really want to be around people anymore. There's a lot of people who I just, you know, it's okay, man. That's cool.
I'm more happy not knowing Things and people, and things that people do. Fine with it. Then bill says, when I arrived there were cops and an ambulance shortly after the party continued. What happened to Bill? Oh he just I'm just hitting the ground. Why? Said he got to get the demons out. Oh, Warm Mills is orgies are great. Way to destroy the soul. Giving a piece of yourself to so many people. Nothing left at the end. Yeah. And just it's just kind of
gross. Good. Yeah. Just I don't, I've never been to one. I did. I never will be to one now and but yeah. You know, it's one thing I think to watch it. On screen. Right. And then another thing to even consider like the ramifications of such a thing in person like, oh God, because in real life,
too. you know maybe it's different Burning Man is a lot of, you know, beautiful people go there and stuff, but in real life if you know I I haven't watched the videos but like you see like the lineup for what's her name. Bonnie Blue or whatever. The British porn person who like took on many many, many men. And he said, line up the men out there and you're like that's not a cross-section of beautiful people. That's not like, you know, People you'd want to share you. I wouldn't.
I wouldn't want to be on the bus with these people, and we would make me go. That's that smell. That's new I've heard about rotting shrimp but I never really smelled one. Okay. Continuing here, there are endless stories of people, tweaking overdosing, or getting lost and unable to find their way back to the camp all night. When the organization tries to mitigate these tragedies, they continue to happen year after
year. The Dark Side of Burning Man is is an accepted reality and risk because the organizers and most about burners believe that the upside of Burning Man is vital enough to risk a few lives here and there. that's, You come you sign the flavor, it's fine. Just don't. Watch out for the rebar. We put a sign up, don't follow with your, you know. Cross your legs. if you fall, if you're building things with robot and you fall Crush Lakes,
In here. Meanwhile, the event itself is sustained by some of the wealthiest donors in the world. Many of whom treated as a personal playground. That money and influence have elevated Burning Man into something much larger than a festival. Is now an institution So, culturally powerful that is it is even garnered its own exhibit at the Smithsonian. Girl, falling on rebar, probably not the highlight of the Smithsonian exhibit proving wrong.
After my first year, burning man can imagine the orgy Dome, the Smithsonian walking through. Oh, look no caveman times. Oh the Civil War. Look oh there's George Washington on the boat. Oh orgy Dome. Hmm. Interesting. When I? What a weird. kind of, Progression. That is After my first year at Burning Man, I cannot deny that I was changed returning to San Francisco, the city almost unrecognizable at a stoplight.
I remember watching people cross the street and swearing I can see their souls suspended just outside their bodies, pulled forward to step or two beyond their physical selves. It was, it was, it was if my own soul had been jolted awake moving in ways that had never moved before. Don't don't. That shift left me more Fearless. I began to take risks without hesitation and bolded by the realization. I had it Burning Man. Life is a stage.
I threw myself deeper into the cultures seeing you know burner communities and chasing that same sense of connection. And openness I had first experience on the Playa Within three years nearly everyone in my Social Circle was a burner. It was like belonging to a secret society of sorts or a cult just a cult. So you can say a cult, it's fine together. We believe that we had access to Limitless reality something hidden from the outside world.
Something you could only understand if you were a burner. Her medicine. You hold the secrets you hold certain truths. Oh, you have the truths? Everyone else is living a lie but not, you know, know you're a burner. You've been awakened. Illuminated. You see that's what all these other lady beans can't see because you're special. You're rolled around the dirt, all a virgin anymore, you were in pregnant at the Spirit of the burning of the Burning, Man, the
Wicker, man. I mean, just the Effigy alone should tell you something weird is going on, right? And and I understand transporting my brain back to being more of a secularist. And when I probably first heard of this, I was like, yeah, okay, there's the thing right? It's an image. It's an icon is a thing, you know. Dance around if I were naked and whatever. Sure. Because I was really in that school like this is all just
larpy, you know, whatever. but, Just reiterate the fact that it doesn't matter if you believe it really believe it. If you do it, it has an effect. See she went there and she's like I came back changed. And it wasn't just not saying it's the drugs or this or that didn't wear off it. Continued, it intensified. Like an addict. Spiritual addict. Now it is possible. I don't like using this term I'm hooked. I'm going to liturgy. We put it that way. I look forward to it. It's a big.
It's a big part of my weakness. Now it is, it is my week, you know, I look forward to it. I look forward to participating in the in the church and my day-to-day life and all things begin to become refocused. To get to church on Sunday. because, It does change. You. And that changing is amazing, but it doesn't change me so I can judge other people. It changes me.
So I judge myself more Something that father several rows said which again is one of those things you hear and intellectually you can hold, but it takes a while to get to get down to the heart. Is that the proper place for all Christians? Starting point for all Christians should be that they you, me are the worst Christian. Where are the problem? Where are the worst? Everyone else, give them excuses, you know? Find a way to say, oh, they just don't know.
Or they're going through something or forgive them, find a way to forgive them. But hold yourself to the highest standard to and say that I am a problem. I'm the lowest of the low because from that starting position you only have improvements every day you can work to improve yourself. Every day, you're addressing you. Say, Sarah from of Sarah. What's said that? A peaceful a peaceful.
Sorry peaceful heart says 1,000 Souls. but you, you Work on that it's yours and you help and you can do that with the help of God help your Prius sell the church. There's that. Strange balance, right? Because we talk about Things not being you. Don't take it all about yourself, don't be so don't be. So, so centered. prideful being Glory, you know, individualistic at the same time.
It is you, you are participating, you are you are, where the heart is, you were, you are the one who is doing these things, or not doing these things. So, you have a role. You have a responsibility of a Duty. You have a, you are an active person in this. But it's not all on you. The only way you're gonna get better is not from what you're doing. Or you're will alone. It's from the will of God. And this helps with that
discernment process. There you know, where's the difference between going to burning, man? Having spiritual experience, right? Going to church and experience spiritual experience. Well, it's the fruits. What are the fruits of going to Burning Man? You desire more more heat in his and more of the flesh. More more more of that staying there. Not living in the world. Not dealing with yourself. Having having other people
access this thing for you. and feeling yourself better than higher than, Possessing something that others don't. Have. A special secret society. A little Cults, a little Only We Know. I mean, if you're in possession of this wonderful thing, wouldn't you want to give to the world? Right. Makes sense. If you're a good person and you want people to feel, this is a great feeling, this is so amazing. I want everyone to feel this. I have access to this.
I'm sure they did some Outreach to people but it really does if you is private selfish. No, it's not covetous. Right. People can get let in right. However, the hidden darker side of Burning Man, which prioritizes expression and freedom before safety, and virtue is a trade that everyone must make. If they wish to attend the event, it is rarely will informed. Whether you realize it or not, the moment you step into blocks City, you're assigning onto that
bargain. It is a culture where sexually sexuality and spontaneity or prized above comfort and contentment women do women Dawn, costumes designed as Dazzle only to suffer strange infections. Strange UTIs skin rashes, textile dermatitis, as a price of looking hot, men are surrounded by exotic beautiful young women while their wives are at home taking care of their children. Once inside the illusion is strong, the outside world seems to dissolve and this is by Design burning man seeks to
create a reality. So consuming, so intoxicating that nothing Beyond his borders appears to matter. For many Burning Man is nothing short of religious experience. A spiritual experience of swords. There are spirits involved in this is for those who make a pilgrimage to the temple to the temple. Why is there always a temple? Always, always a temple. Take this little stop. Thank you everyone. For liking subscribing and sharing the channel as you can always. Send your super Jazz jokes and
riddles. Be read out for each super chat. If you said it over to me on stream Labs or on PayPal, just let me know. And I will check it and read out thing and his son give me the alerts on Hawaii. But appreciate you. And this is, I'm, of course, reading from Nicole Shanahan's account of being a burner at Burning Man. For many Burning, Man is nothing short of religious experience especially for those who make a pilgrimage to the temple. And I must admit rather
shamelessly. Now, shamefully, now that I was once one of those people each year, I brought something to surrender their, a photograph of someone, I had lost an old wedding dress from my failed marriage or some artifact heavy with pain that I longed to release suffering, right? Give up your suffering. You're holding suffering. Give It Up. Burn it on the temple or whatever it is. Temporary Temple.
I'm not sure they burned this one either but regardless the whole thing gets constructed, right? Because you build, they build this whole thing and with anything 72 hours at the end of the event is gone. The ritual was always the same. The temple became a vessel for grief sorrow and suffering. Get it away from you. When it burned. So of course, it burned, when it burned, it was meant to be a collective release.
As a structure collapsed, a great spirals of smoke would rise into the sky and dust devils would swirl across the desert floor among berners. These were spoken of as the spirits Here, unnecessarily wrong. He says, I think this is very necessarily long. I think this is exactly the right kind of length. I'm enjoying this. This is a lot more than what was the name. Bobby bue here. Highly respected, Mr. Scott Greer, we'll get back to him.
Year. After year the burning of the temple was profound was a profound moving moment. One that reduced me to tears and I stood among 60,000 others, 60 crazy. That was a thing I heard about the orgy Dome tents of that, right? It's like 60,000 or 80,000 people go to this thing, whatever and some like 10% or whatever. Number end up going to these domes self-reported, I guess. So can you imagine like if it's let's say it's 10%.
So that means like, 60,000 people going there, six six thousand people were doing orgies all the time. Oh, She's single women, just get these weird diseases are really weird, you know, how that happened. getting dust up your Mmm, well, you're doing them. Year. After year, the burning of the temple was profoundly moving Moments. One was that?
Reduced me to tears. As I stood among 60,000, others, all of us, silent all of us watching all of us, worshiping the flames in silence, worshiping the flames and Sons. There goes. There's all your grief and suffering, right? Why bear burn it. Our suffering. Leads us closer to God. So that we do not burn in his love, so that we are filled with his Radiance, the warmth of his love and grace. And yet these people are burning their grief. To get it away, so they can. Get more, I guess.
Take no responsibility. Self self authorship, right? So I returned to the question for you and from myself, Is Burning Man. Demonic seems to me. Checks off a lot of boxes for me, when you read, what I've shared. Does it strike you as something rooted in light or in darkness? Does it sound like a culture that draws people to closer to truth or further into illusion?
What is this? Looking Back Now, through the lens of scripture and Christian theology, I have come to believe that burning man is not just an eccentric Festival, but rather a powerful vehicle for deception. In fact, it may be one of the most effective tools for Satan to misdirect. Souls away from our heavenly father When you surrender yourself to the Playa, you do not simply Embrace Freedom. You also open yourself to profound distortions of what is good. That's a very odd statue, isn't
it? I mean. I'm not saying that's a demon. But I'm saying that's a demon. If if you're looking for a demon it would I have that fits the bill Man shape Clovis, hoods weird hands feet thing with like a fiery mall for a face when to consume you fire consumes? A year after year, I witnessed art, installations that did more than provide they mocked virtue itself.
There was and remains a striking irrelevance irreverence, sorry for Christian tradition altars were erected where people were invited to offer confessions and prayers, not to God, but to Idols, I saw Effigies dedicated symbols that stood in sharp opposition to the sacred. In 2024 a giant clitoris, displayed as an altar, And 2015, a statue of a Charles Lore body arteries wired into what resembled a digital machine and 2023, check a Mayan rain God once worshiped through human
sacrifice. There are hundreds of these pieces of artwork scattered through blocks City. And each year, something new in perverse is introduced by understanding. Is that these new that these are pieces are considered offering to the event to be experienced by burners, I guess this is the lower half of the baby arteries connected to some certain machine. While people in tutus probably men are quotes.
Yeah, two twos are for women and children and By the way, see if I said that no one would have to go obvious. But say shorts and ring is upset. Even the attendees are considered to be part of the Arts. Radical self-expression, and participation are the 10, guiding principles are quotes. And both are on full display. Over time, I began to notice that what surrounded the men Effigy before it burned Was Not Mere performance. The dance tropes, encircling it
would not simply entertaining. They are invoking. Their, their invoking, their movements and chance served as ceremonial opening his calling on spirits to bear with us. Perfectly normal behavior, folks. Something to see here celebrities royalty, monkeys of all different types, all different hierarchies, of social orders, just getting together to burn, some weird Effigies and worship them. In the desert. Which is sort of an inversion of the desert fathers, right?
And Desert Falls. Go out the desert pray and, you know, oftentimes they're attacked by demons, but to to receive Revelations of God. And they're these people out there, receiving Revelations of another kind. Here at this point, really? Are we not? I'm very surprised there hasn't been instances of human sacrifice at Burning, Man. I mean, like official ones.
You know, I'm sure there have been many others that Non-official. There's that story the woman girl who, you know, threw herself the bus and fell into the undercarriage and stuff a man who threw himself into the fire. Feels like a self-sacrifice, right? Sacrifice to someone something. I remember the founder was telling me that burning the burning of the man symbolizes release of the Soul. Like, I cannot help but ask to whom is this, that Soul being
released. If the whole point of Burning Man is to surrender to the soul in ecstasy, where does it go and to whom does it and to whom is it being sent? I'm a newbie to demonology but there is clearly something dangerous at work here. Take the demon more Acts. Sounds like a cleaning agent. for example, also known as Marx or Forex He appears in several cold texts, including the Lister key of Solomon and the pseudo Dominican Demarion. Here a disclaimer, don't read any of these.
Don't write. We're reading that where she's detailing it. Fine. Stay away from all this stuff. Okay. Don't go dabbling because it's a no joke about. There's you can't, ironically, here's one thing. Okay, even in Christian prayer. So prayers to, you know, capital G, God good to be able to true. You cannot ironically prayer, Pray Doesn't work. You can say words and we're sure but you're not praying. You're just saying words, if you're in prayer of any kind, say, the Jesus prayer.
Lord Jesus Christ. And God Have Mercy Center, which probably good idea to read this. Say this comes to see through this reading. It's not ironic. It's it's it may not be all the way into your heart yet because he thinks it's those stages, but you can't just be like flipping about it if you pray, you pray, right? There's a at least some sort of actual belief being being exhibited there. So and it works with this other stuff too, right people might think they're being hahaha.
Alright but it's not haha, the demons don't care about haha, right? They they want you worshiping them any way you can and whether you do it ironically or you whether you do it. Fervently as a True Believer or somewhere in between, if you're doing it, you're saying it, you're participating in it, you're thinking about it, you're giving it, whatever you give attention to your worshiping, Careful. Go to your priest. Go to church, talk to your priest.
He described, he's described as a Forex Marx, whatever. He's just a great as a great and president of Hell, many between 30 and 36, Legions of demons, each capable of taunting tempting and tormenting humans. He's often betrayed as a bull with a human face or a man with a head of a bull. What is striking is his supposed abilities, teaching a stroller, gee, liberal sciences and the properties of herbs and precious stones as well as bestowing spiritual descent.
Dawkins does any of this sound familiar? The burning man draws scientists Executives, innovators and leaders scientists that's interesting on the Playa, you Glimpse sides of them that remain hidden in the everyday world. The stern executive suddenly wears Crystals and Stones around his neck. The scientists speaks freely of esoteric knowledge with a conviction you would never have heard in a laboratory or
boardroom. You know, cyprian and some of these other some of some other people have taken some heat, I guess in some ways but talking about AI is demonic all these things. Sure. And I've you know gone back and forth I can see what the point I'm like, I don't know. Here's the thing that keeps
coming up though. is that the people who are building these things or funding, these things who have interest in these things like you know top down interest not just use her up but you know designer down interest A lot of you are doing this shit. Excuse me. so, Here's your problem. Here's our problem. We don't have to believe in it, we can be acting against it. We can be guarding ourselves. And you know what, on whatever
level. But these people who have their, you know, hands on the levers of inputs. Technology. And All These Fine Things politics. They believe it. Either the only believer for a week. She just said, Shanahan said, you know, she went away for weekend. They came back and she was changed and she will wanted more of that, join these communities and Well what if that experience is not just hers but is everybody's I mean she was running with RFK.
She was I mean technically as her vice president is his vice president candidate. Technically in some other you know version of events. She's a VP of America right now. Of course, she's baptized Christian she's going through her Redemption Arc which is great fantastic. Where to God? But, you know I'm saying? How many of these people? How many of the past presidents? Prime Ministers, vice presidents people in cabinet positions, Etc, are all going to this thing.
And coming back changed. What is going on the summer camp at WF and all that stuff is, is it somewhere? Is it just this? But out in the You know, Woods or New Zealand or something, maybe? and this is out in the open, literally So secret, this is not Bohemian Grove or some secret society or a skull and bones or, you know, whisper know. It's it's open Air Festival like they they probably pronounce it. Now it's like there's photographs and videos and I'm sure you on YouTube, you can
find videos with those stuff. It's like it's it's out there. But it's people's disbelief that this has anything to do with anything that hasn't gone. It's just people do it. We're so weird. People doing weird things. Scientists executive, innovators and leaders on the Playa. Are these weird people. Well, they are weird. They are mentally ill or doing mentally ill.
Things were a little bit. Well, they go back to the regular life and they're people who, you know, we kind of depend on their experts or the people who you kind of, you know, Can run things a little bit, make your life difficult, let's say, or good or whatever. It's later than you think. Hasten. Therefore, to do to the work of God or was the, what was my My quote today.
I'll read later. Um, this is the part that makes Burning Man on like any other gathering with the span of a single week, it concentrates a kind of nucleus of power intellectual Financial spiritual that I have never witnessed assembled in one place before. For many years, I was Intoxicated by the sophistication and wonder of it. All I remember one evening after a burning man leadership dinner standing beside Larry Harvey as he waited for our cars from his
pocket. He pulled a step sketchy, he had drawn of an of the Oracle Stone of Delphi which he explained he planned to build inside the man. This is on unusual for him. Each year Larry would consider what form of divination he wanted to, to embed in the Effigy and each year, it would be incorporated into the design. Picture the Screw tapes screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. I got to get a copy this book.
now, it's Too many times it's been brought up there are no coincidences, he's something because brought up that so many times in my life I'm like okay. I get you. Okay, well, check it out. I've heard of it. I've never read it. The number of esoteric and occult encounters. I had a burning man is now Beyond count. For nearly a decade.
These things felt normal to me because my entire world was steeped in that Community. It was only later while reading the Bible and books, like, the screwtape letters and learning about the grand hierarchy of demons that I realized how eerily familiar it all seemed. Burning Man itself. Carries his own hierarchies. Not like the structures to stop described in the Bible principles and Powers fees and 612. Powers and principalities.
And those later explored by CS Lewis, you can see it, even in the physical design of Black Rock City, who was positioned where who gets access who was allowed to Stage for the man's burning hams mirror the stratification each with its own social order, interesting? Right. Because whereas the forest Dr, applied here, there's got to be some Right, it is a hierarchy who enforces the hierarchy how they enforce it. or is it just you know, like, oh, Some sort of
social order. It probably attended by a whole bunch of people who hate hierarchies, right or down the hierarchy down the down with the matriarch you know down with patriarch is something like Aha. And then you go to Burning Man, all of us. And It's the Effigy, the top of the hierarchy. Interesting. Sorry man. I've been Not paying attention to chat. Look at you guys.
Go Screwtape letters is great. It's short, full audio is on you it. Okay, well, we're gonna do a whole episode on it. Bill hick says I heard a story about some fellow way back when in the early days of Christianity that was ironically performed. This the ritual baptism and actually accidentally baptized himself. and then baptized the, you know, the god, Meanwhile they're burning tons of watermelon says meanwhile they're burning tons of possessions and causing a ton of

Lauren Laurens is Legions of tempters indeed. The safest Road to Hell is a
gradual one. The gentle slope soft underfoot without sudden turnings without Milestones without signposts. Yeah. Something that the materialist or the secular has to deal with. It's like It's easy to just believe in this stuff because it's not like the announced it in some ways. It's like it's very obvious. If you know what to look for. It's like oh my goodness. Look at all place. but if you're in denial of it, you're like, oh, they don't say they're doing this.
They're not saying they're worshiping bowels. So, what's the problem? Until they tell you they're worshiping mouth like yeah, they're they're worshiping a golden statue. And throwing wicker children into the fire. Not real children. I mean that would be too extreme. Thank God for that, right? Yeah, we haven't got to that point yet, dot dot. However, getting pretty close,
aren't we folks? As always surprise me with, I think with the modernist and I was like this too, so whatever, but it's almost like the has to be on CNN. It has to be in the New York Times. It has to be a headline for them to believe it. You can show them everything bond market stuff right? You show them all the work. You spend hours and hours and hours days months, whatever. Getting all the information
presenting in a way done, right? Really think about it, and try to convince people and really presented that way. And you see them going. Nope. Cool. Man. Hasn't happened yet though. Oh Sure, people always say this. They gotta wait till it's actually on fire and then most of them would be like it's fine. It's fine, no, it's fine. It's fine. What? It's just what the market does. Don't worry be fine. Examples abound throughout the Bible and all the rest of us.
He's just getting some people, just don't want to see it. They've trained their eyes against it because if they see it any bit of it, they admit any bit of it. They admit one thing to be true. Oh, Nothing. The whole thing is true and that big towering pile of contradictions. Come crashing down happened to me, don't recommend it. Do it voluntarily folks. Don't let it happen by itself because it's it's sucks. Not a fun way to to. Have the veil ripped from your eyes. I don't wanna mmm.
But necessary. No regrets wouldn't trade it in for anything. But still. If you can do it yourself, do it yourself. Well, do it yourself? God's gonna do it. But, you know, Be a little less dramatic than I was, let's play that way. If you It's easier to talk about around the dinner table, anyways. Warmo says, can we be sure the guy who threw himself into the fire threw himself into the fire? Well, I'll put it this way. I don't think human hands through him. But he was guided.
He was. Encouraged. Let's say. Bye not so human hands which, you know? Results of the same, right? Yeah, we're going to get through this. And then take a very short break while you use the facilities. Okay, we're almost there. oh, Such is true Burning, Man. There are no sudden Joel's. No dramatic Crossroads. Let me just read that again. Sorry. I like this one. Screw tape warns his Legions of
tempters indeed. The safest Road to Hell is the gradual one, the gentle slopes soft, underfoot without sudden turning without Milestones without signposts. Such as true of Burning Man. There are no, there were no sudden jolts. No dramatic Crossroads. Only a slow descent before you realize, you become an empty vessel lost pretending unable to find Joy on unable to find God. I was not just on the road to hell.
I was already living it. This is important point, you know and it's helped me understand forgiveness. And start practicing it. And have like I'm still working on it. Don't don't give me wrong, I'm I suck. But I've now started to see certain people like you take a Lindsey Graham for example, right? And I've said this on the Charlotte, let me let me be better than one person. Can just be better than Lindsey Graham. Can I just say that by isn't much?
I know that's not how it works but you know He sees some garlic, Lindsey Graham or fill in the name blank, right? Where whoever You want to say? and, What I've tried to condition myself to do now. Is look at that person. Go that person's living in hell, they are actually in hell, right? At this moment. If they're not possessed by demons, they're certainly doing the will demons. It just looks to me like this person's in hell. You can really see it.
Sometimes in certain people's faces, you know, they, they really obvious one. Was the prime minister of New Zealand, Shekinah, Arden was her name of the thing and you see her when she first enters off and you see her when she leaves and you know, whoa, I know I was epic is a thing and stuff, but I don't she was and she wasn't that chubby right? whatever she was on man, she looks Ran through, we use those term. Let me show. News Zealand. Female prime minister.
There is just checking to Arden. There we go. See if we can do a little bit before and after this is all Google so it may be hard to get a role. A image. There we go. Okay, this is I think this is during coronavirus times. She's already certainly looked pretty weathered, right? I think this is much more of a modern picture. She's not, she's younger than me. Like by a score. I know I'm well, pickled but I mean This makeup in Vogue and stuff.
So but let's look at that and I mean she was never like a stunner right? But But fair enough, that's later on. There's a young picture of her. Let's see if he can find one. There you go. Scratching her first child. So there she is. And in the glow of birth. Look at the healthy looking nice. Looking funny, you know, whatever. And then you see this, And what happened? What happened gone and there's
other pictures, too. This is not the greatest examples, but he's just see that like Many such cases. It's sometimes you can say it's a drugs. Is this in the side? Yeah, probably but, I think it has a lot to do with just like, The activities, let's say of the Demons. As and so yeah, these people are in hell, they're living in hell. And so it's in the same some way. I mean, not that I'm doing anything to help them necessarily. Sometimes I pray for these people, Pray for oosuki.
You know. It's easier sometimes because you because you don't want to like them in some in some case you want to hate them. You want that? Pull the demons, you want that righteousness? Ah, he hate But realize that this is a creation of God as well. This person eating their
infected by demons. Even if they're unrepentant, even if the worst of the worst, even though they're someone that you have nothing but condemnation or or disdain for and so on some level, you have to address that within you. They don't care about you, you're caring about them way more than they care about you, guaranteed. So, you just let go. Forgive them. Pray for them. Don't have to go get him a hug. Join the Lindsey Graham fan club or something.
I'm not saying that I'm saying. I just I'm trying to train myself and again, I suck at this. So, whatever that may sound like I'm being cool. Oh, look at him know I suck, but but I do try to apply that more and more. I'm just realizing that person's living in Hell. There's nothing else I can do my anger and resentment. All this stuff is just feeding my passions is taking me off the Rope path, it's not hurting them. It's only hurting me and there
are already in hell. They're living in hell. Well, can I do to them? I disdain. Oh, I'm gonna say a strongly worded. Insult on X. Ha ha. Okay. Does that make you feel better? No, it makes me feel awful. He doing it then. Um, It's taking me years to rebuild what was broken inside me, and it took, what waking up from a near-death experience to
see the truth? Finally, and to find the courage and humility to come to Christ for all the things, I once went searching for it Burning Man, I've spoken with former burners this year who have also been saved by Christ and it's no coincidence. That each of them has turned away from burning man. Now that misses it for the first time in years they're rediscovering joy and fulfillment in the early and the ordinary rhythms of Life
ordinary rhythms of life. The same is true for me as a devout myself to scripture to my family into walking in the light of the Lord. I find that this process of renewal continues to unfold deepening day by day, step by step, I no longer desire to burn the man, I now burn was Zeal in the spirits careful. The only thing I would only advice. I would give to her and again. Who am I right? I speak with no authority of anything but the only advice I give to Channahon here.
Is that look, you've been deceived once. right, you fell into I would even say what we pray, less, because it's demonic stuff. You've you've you've fallen for the illusion of the deceiver. And he went home more didn't go to the origin of God Bless but you know probably did a whole bunch of those stuff. We don't need to know the details. The the danger is this is now
you've seen the light, right? You you're walking towards God, you're trying to do the return, repent redeem, prodigal son Ark, God bless her. But it's really easy in your Zeal and your zealotry and your anger, your resentments, your, all these things you carry with you. And I'm not saying that she has these things. I don't know this woman. So maybe she she's addressed that as well and her spiritual father.
Her priests whoever is helping her with that and glory to be God. But to anyone else, who's who I, this is the Little bit of advice. I'd give I, I think you're starting to see this. Maybe not so much in Orthodoxy, maybe to a certain extent. Some of some church fathers to talk about this. I know fathers talked about this a little bit, but people tend to bring things there and they think they can hold on to it.
And sometimes people drop out of the of the catechism towards Orthodoxy because it's like What did Father triple say once and was pretty? it was on because he does that where he said something like, A lot of people come to Orthodoxy because it seems like Orthodoxy doesn't like the same people, they don't or has the same problem with certain people groups, whatever sins. That they do. And, you know, like that it's right wing is conservative, is
this? and they like it, like it, like it until they get further in and they realize the problem really is that That they're pointing the figure out. But eventually you get to the Mirror. Because that's really what it's doing is holding a mirror up to you and go you pointing your finger at you. It's your sins. It's your passions, it's your demons. It's a war within you. There's a greater war going on because everyone has it and bring it to the world. And it's of the world.
Responds to our fallen nature. but, The. But you become aware that it's not about changing everybody else fixing the world. It's about fixing you, healing yourself. Because that's all you really can do. This is a clean, your room. Got A Moment, Like, Jordan Peterson was sometimes pretty close. Take care of this first before. Everything else. And by the time you finish with this, you probably too old. You get to the point, right?
They'll fix some cells. It's a tough one. because all the incentives in the world are telling you to go problems problems, 66 Be politically active. There's power. There's control Power and controls up for grabs. You can be powerful and controlling. You can influence things. You're an influencer. You can influence people. They'll build Effigies and buy your books and view counts. And Glory to be to you. It's not you. The glory belongs to God. He'll provide you with Grace.
And mercy. All the glory goes up. Has to. What are you gonna do with it anyways? And you're suffering. Brings you closer to him? And it has to because that's the only contacts that makes sense. Otherwise you're still going to suffer. Go to Burning Man and throw your suffering on a temple and burn it isn't get rid of your suffering. You go back to the next year and throw more things on the table and more.
Every time you every year go back, there's some more suffering to throw in the temple to burn. Well, obviously, just like therapy. Any doing anything, is it? I mean, It's doing something, but it's not doing the thing. You think it's gonna do? Oops. Oh, it's really doing is saying that. Your responsibility to deal with this suffering to center it to to actually, okay? How did this suffering happen? Where am I with it? How did I was? I did I cause it? What is my responsibilities to it?
Even if I didn't cause it. Okay, I need to bear this. I need to see it through. And without giving into despair. Because what God and Christianity is Orthodoxy prevents provide you is a path to reality. And reality, big, our reality. Ain't soft and fuzzy. And a party out in the desert or wherever. It's hard. But you can bear this cross and you can bear the cross reality. You can make your life a cross. And bear it because you understand what it's for why?
It's not just to go through suffering to burn it on a temple. And try to get rid of it. Is to try to make you better. Stronger. More resilient more grateful or gracious, more humble. You're not in control this thing. and you're not going to will yourself well, okay. Let's take a break. Let's oh okay do what? Okay to those who talk in the chat, warm melon, no bills still here. Or should I go try to find the The just father just saw a trim talk about deep about a screw tape. You just see if I can find the Opera as an option. Doo doo, doo. Playlist. Orthodoxy. That's actually better. Always go with the first instinct. Usually listen to the last bit of Father's part aspired in here and we'll do a separate screw tape episode in the near future. Here we go.
Media break. Enjoy this, I will be back we can be healed by repenting by confessing by trusting in Christ's power and authority over everything. Everything that we are. When? Someone enters into this demonic condition. when they refused to repent, when they are formed and shaped according to an evil pattern, the harm that is done, May of course, be to their own soul but also to other people around them. We can lead other people into sin. We can weaken other people's resolve.
We can shake that, we can do all kinds of spiritual damage to other people. And the opposite is true when we are healed. When Christ, enters us and restores us. And we begin to repent and begin to be transformed. The Light of Christ. The enters, the begins to illuminate us All so changes the people around us. We don't always have to share our faith. Just in words, it is more effective to be changed to be transformed. To allow Christ himself and his presence in our lives.
Touch other people. People can see the change, they can see Christ's presence in whatever small form or way. Let us be changed that other people may benefit from the change that Christ brings to us. Christ. Christ brings transformation to the very best parts of ourselves. So, this encounter that in the 8th, chapter of the Gospel of Saint Luke, it is a reminder to us. Yes. First of all. To recognize the true nature of the Demons. We may say, why would God even
allow someone to be possessed? This awful condition. Why would God permit this? Saint Gregory palamas answers us, he says When we see the possessed, man. We recognize truly the evil condition. That following evil following the Demon's leads us to it reveals their true purpose. That true nature. Evil is seen for what it truly is and it enables us. To make a true choice. Will I choose to follow this evil? All I repent.
And of course, again Saint Gregory palamas, says, it also enables us to see the true Authority and power of Christ in action. To build our confidence. Our trust, our faith in Christ. As frightful that it is. It serves God's purpose. Even the demons. When they try to commit evil. God's Providence is such that his will be done. His goodness will come from everything. and, Let us see how. Willingly, every one of us. Does indeed give us ourselves to evil?
This is a hard thing to recognize a hard truth to to be willing to face. Look within ourselves. Here are conscious. What is it? I struggle to repent from. What is it? I refuse to repent from, what's in sins, what Temptations? Do I still cling to even on my conscience speaks out even though I know that I am joining my self to evil. Secretly in this hidden way. May I see it. Make come to light. May bear it before Christ in confession. Let us see truly.
Truly be honest, and recognize. How have I joined myself to evil? How have I allowed Satan to shape? Me secretly. Oh my goodness. God bless that you're safe. Orthodox. Boomer. Grandma just says just evacuated with dogs and cats to Monastery due to 65 fires near a Candle factory 4,000 Acres my goodness. Oh glory to God that you're safe and will keep you. Pray that Your house and your property sustains.
No damage or if anything just minimal damage to know that you're that good to know you're safe. Those parts of ourselves that we wouldn't dare reveal to anybody around us. We know, we know the shame, we know the depth of our sin Trust Christ can shine his light into the darkness, he can bring healing. He Wills that we be restored but he doesn't destroy our free will. We have a choice.
We may choose. To give us to send, give us to Satan. And Orthodox Boomerang on this goes without saying, but if you ever need any help or assistance, just ask, we'll do what we can whether it be Financial or whatever that just let us know. because, I know you're. You're supportive of this show and you've been tons of other chats. So just know that you're not alone.
So if you need any help, you just let us know. you know, interesting thing here, he talks about and something that atheist Really myth on. There's a few standard atheist arguments against Christianity, specifically. But it kind of really boils down to, you know, if bad things happen why God or you know why? No God bad things, happen. Whatever. The. The. oh, is this a single? Okay, the The not-so-obvious. But obvious answer to that comes at comes around.
This is that? Because you have free will there's a fall and you have free. Will these two things happening? The same time. God could have created perfect slaves, who would never do anything bad things? Never bad things would have happened in the fall. Would never have happened. Etc, etc. But he had to give but he gave us free will or had to he gave us free will so we could choose to serve him. So we could choose to through
our fallen nature now. Suffer and And devote ourselves to him rather than just it not being a choice. Because if it's no choice, if you're just this way. If you just build good to do good and that stuff, is it really good? How can you know what's good? Sometimes you need to have, you need to taste the sour to appreciate the sweet. Orthodox. Boomer grows, as she had time to pack three GO bags. So where's the fire? Exactly.
Is it. is it threatening your property or She's saying that we usually had seen Sarah from Rose's Monastery, this time of year and good thing we didn't go. Well, so maybe Maybe. God kept you to to protect to protect you and your property. She says, I have no anxiety. I had no anxiety total piece the whole time glory to God, glory to God. I know one time here in Australia when we were living, not in this house but somewhere close by. And, you know, sometimes you get
these bushfires and warnings. There was a big one, not too far from us. It's actually was right by where I was working at this one or three, I thought here. And we were forced to evacuate and go live at say it families closure to town And yeah, it was the same thing. You grab a few bags and you're waiting around because you know, the fires there, we just don't know where they're going from and you're like, okay, fine, wait, wait, wait, oh, there's
you know, it's been okay, we gotta go. and, And there was there was animals involved too. So yeah. It was a it was a scene man. I never had that. I never had to evacuate from an area before. Oddly enough, I live in the city. There's, you know, if you have a vacuum, the city, there's something really bad happening. Like a gas leak or something, right? Just somehow. I've always avoided that had to live through one flood in the house, and that was basically it.
So, so yeah, I know it's can I was I was dressed out so I was fantastic that you Know anxieties, you know what to do? And It's called the six, five, the six to six to five. So this is obviously not. Is this in? This is California. They're flying helicopters with water right now, good. Well, hopefully. It spares your property. Let's finish up with his father's Spirit here and then we'll get to that the finish up that article of Scott Greer. And then we'll get to some other
server rooms. Blessed blessed sir from Rose. We may struggle and overcome these passions refuse these Temptations. And when we fall and we fall off tomorrow. Don't doctors over here or talks over Grandma and let us get up. And again, and again, work and struggle and repent. But let's do all of this. Without despair even when we face and see the true evil, the true damage, the true harm that we have done to us that we can Amy Erickson is a subscribed. Would you subscribe before?
I feel like you have been hi Amy to do to ourselves. Let us never despair. Despair. It's Matt Ericson's. Help me. I've been tempted to call my wife that and I'm like, no that's that and that's how the fart started yet. Another Temptation it is another trick of Satan. It is one of the ways to the demons will try to separate us from Hope and God, He must give. Thanks, give thanks for all that God does but also, especially for his healing.
His restoration, give thanks for what he is doing in our lives, the way that he is changing us. When we repent, we must give. Thanks for his Mercy. We repent and he forgives us. Let us give, thanks for this. And for the homeless that he brings Wholeness that is eternal. Was read this out my dear brother and sister is let us look to ourselves that for the appetite of the plush, the pleasures of frivolous privileged society and false philosophy and that for gain in business.
We lose not Jesus. Our savior and fall prey to all to the adversary of our Eternal salvation, amen. It's one of those hard things. To balance. In the world not of it. We have these things. These possessions these gifts really have gone. These Mercies Some more than others. but really we're told and not just told but instructed, but but it makes sense and not covet these things and I'll hold these things is as All there is. For one day, we'll be gone.
Or there could be a fire. Or some other such thing. I can be gone. What do you have? You have the kindness of strangers, Orthodox. But my grandma saying here, the animals were cool. The sheriff helped us get 150 pound, dog. Bear in the candle delivery van. Jesus. Or to God all things, exactly. Thank you for praying know, hey. Easiest thing in the world. like I said, Grandma, if you, if down the road you need any help or assistance.
You just, you send another call and we'll, we'll rally the troops. I'm sure. The. So it's, it's the it's to balance our coveted us. To not covet these things. Do not hold these things. He's wonderful things this technology, these this house, the The graciousness of others, the money, the whatever. To understand that these things are all temporary, they're heavy. They have its uses their tools. and if we're not using them, To benefit others. To forward or commitment to God
to build churches. I, you know, I think of that sometimes. You know what if sometimes people ask you know what if what if you got 100 million dollars would you do with them like build churches? Build churches. That's not the answer. I would give you 10 years ago, obviously, probably don't even
answer, maybe giving you five years ago. but certainly the answer, maybe I would have started giving you last year and certainly now because the only thing that makes sense to me is to build churches How many houses can you live in? But how many houses can house the lord? Well, spread those out like seeds. And watch a trees grow. Monsters and churches. That's lord gave me 100 million there. That's where to go to. I mean, I really know. A little bit, you know. Hey, okay.
Well some of it. You know. It hire someone to do The Lawns. That's there. That's been the thing I keep for myself. Everything else is gone. You know the mortgage. Okay, let's finish this since we started this, let's finish this. I think we're almost there. This is what's his name Scotty? Scotty 2 Hotty Scott Greer. Talking about demons. And people who talk about demons in the right, of course, we took
it took a Side quest to talk to read, Shanahan's. of about Burning Man from her experience is As one as a burner as a previous burner. Now, as a Christian looking back and saying, yeah, this is a lot of demons from her scripture. A lot of demons. But let's get back to here. Okay, so we'll just read this again. One such character is Nicole, Shanahan the twice divorce, former running mate of Robert F Kennedy Junior, her twice
divorce day and God bless her. God bless him, her two husbands were Jewish and she converted to Judaism for her first marriage. After deciding to become a conservative influencer, Shanahan announced, she had converted to Christianity her reasoning. She came to believe in demons her face reflects the notion that belief in demons is more important for the online, right? Then the belief in God. It's a very odd. Conclusion to come to. It's like Tucker Carlson's talked about this too, right?
And now he was an Episcopalian. I think he's still is or what? I'm not sure if he's changed his faith, fishy or not. But he said that, you know, that not too long ago. He was attacked by demon in his sleep tore, open stuff. And I got him. Searching for further. And several was wake up call, because it was in his tradition, his Christian Donna nomination, they just didn't talk about demons. It was an inconsideration with that episcopalians are sort of like American English.
Essentially. I know, I know here the essay in the comment section. Go ahead. If you are watching this in future leave a comment section below. It helps us show too. Like subscribe. Send me money. Yeah. Go to church, talk to your priest tip, your so, this this kind of a weird conclusion to say, That you experience demons and then you turn to Christianity because you're like, well they're these are
demons. They're demons there and if demons are real then Satan's real estate is real than God's real. And I think Christianity then kind of explains all these things. Therefore are goes some Christianity He's working backwards from an event but you know many of us do. I got to a low Point called out to I was still in atheist called up to God in October 2020 soon after my daughter was born and was and received a voice. Very clear voice in my head,
that was not my voice. Tell me to Bear Witness. I said, okay. And we later was met with a train load of Shame. I couldn't, I couldn't understand any other way. I'm sure some people all the online writers All About That. Yo you had a psychotic break, you had this, you're not trust me. I've run through all the possibilities here. but I was like, well, okay, if I'm crazy. But nothing else in my life has changed other than I'm aware that I was wrong about.
Oh, everything. And need to make up the distance. By like going doing something radical, like, going to church. Every Sunday. And saying some prayers. Radical. Being nicer to people. What? Taking self-responsibility self. Authorship ownership ownership man. It's all. It's my ownership know. It's weird ways like by becoming more. I guess interested in in healing myself, the less ownership I have of myself. It's funny that. Less ownership of everything
else. Apart my prayers. to God and as theotokos for help and Saint Ilya my patreon. Saying Elijah, the Prophet Elijah to those who don't know. I was born on his feast day. Often my prayers, what I pray for is, for God to, to lead my family. If I if I'm unworthy, if I cannot lead them, if I'm, you know, If I cannot bring them to God my through my, my modeling through my presence and allow God to do that. Give It Up. My child to most important
people in my life. I put them in God's hands. Their souls their guidance there. Things that are most precious things are most important. It's not mine. They're not mine and that sense. But I have a role. I responsibility of a Duty. As a man at this house. still delete know, just spiritually God and lead and whatever capability I have and I recognize that I'm A white belt. I got all my other things ahead of me. I'm working on that working on,
many of the things. Bill Hicks is having the fruits of the spirit of the holy spirit is crazy. That's why I say when, you know, I've shared that story before and I try not to say it too much because it's almost, I don't want my old cheap in it, by retelling it over telling it. but when I tell people like and that's like, that's when All those plates, all those contradictions just came
crashing down and they were pretty. they were teetering pretty badly at that point and anyways, because you can't explain it any other way either. I've gone completely crazy. But yet. Nothing else in my life has changed. I'm not like getting erratic and doing crazy things and whatever any more so than I was before. Anyways. But now I had this, I had this voice in my head. That told me to Bear witness. I didn't even know what that means.
I'm still like figuring out with that means, I don't know what it means but you know, It's like and you know what? You're not living it. Getting there. Getting their. That's what my response. Off of them, taking the blood and receiving the Blessed bread. While they're asking me. How's it going? How are you doing? And like getting there? Getting their. Slowly. As those are things to this, too. Is only so many people that Prosperity Gospel, people, and
that stuff. Start getting interested in. This is kind of directly. Addressing this sort of, they care more about demons than God. And I can't speak for Channahon or other people. Maybe they do, I don't know. But The awareness of demons in the awareness of the Demonic and the awareness of the evil and and the pitfalls and Satan. You know. Walking the perimeter of the campfire, like a hungry lion waiting. For you to be. A little bit silly, even the foot out. He can't blame it all on them.
There's levels of sermon here, a lot of times it is a demons. I've been, I've been attacked. I know what that feels like. It ain't fun and you don't have a curiosity like hmm was it was it was that a demon? Was it? Huh. Do you know? Happened to me twice last year. You know, I knew I wasn't perplexed by it. Now of course I had been going down this road for bits so maybe I was prepared more for but when it hits it hits you and you're like as in oh I gotta go to
church. I gotta talk to a priest. Seriously exactly how it happened. so, I don't want to detail that stuff too much because it's me know, weird head frame but you You know, these things are. When you experience these things, you know, the real like the real They're not just figments of your imagination. They, they shock you, they move you, they change you. Then you certainly go. Okay. if these things are real, really real Then I got to do something about it.
I got to do some real and response. You can't just be like, oh, Hope it doesn't hope it just blows over. Otherwise grandma says, I've heard God four times. Giving me direct Direction clearly. I obeyed. Good things happen. God bless the only this up here. I got I don't want to spend too much time on the on the attack, but there was a blessing afterwards. So I guess I can't remember the time frame maybe November December of last year. In October.
Okay, so in October, I had a Rattling, let's say demonic rattling and then a few months after that, so let's say, let's just say December. I got to the point with with where I was going. Okay, why am I here like, why am I in Australia? I understand like a marriage wasn't Australian. We had a daughter covid happened on. I can I can I knew all the steps that brought us here. And why I think God was leading us here. But I had that moment with God. Like why gone like why am I here?
I don't like the beach. I don't wear shorts. I got, you know I'm an ill-suited for all of this Is there a reason? Is it? Just the family? Because if it's just a family that's fine, it's good enough reason. But is there something I should be doing other than what I was doing because you know, I had a health has gone out the back problems, feet problems, all this stuff.
So I knocked out of work and doing the streaming stuff and certain depend on this for income and there was just very vulnerable place to be And it kind of was reminiscent of that moment in 2020 when I called out, I was like oh what do I do? And I wasn't giving it an answer right away. But as I think it was the same day, it was just as to sell it as a story. Let's say it's the same day I got up and was going to the back of the house and I got hit. By demon. And it'll detail this way.
It felt like suddenly there was A lot of people let's say 100 TVs on science on inside my head. some bombardment like, just And it almost brought me to my knees. There was so. Abrupt. I started praying. I, I praying. You start praying you pray different. That's for that way. You prayed different? When suddenly you're getting attacked is like oh the Lord. Jesus Christ, have mercy. And you just, I was praying. And it went away. Trick me. And then I went to bed and woke up the next day.
And sat down here to do work. and I had a, I hate using the word vision. Let's put it this way. I had a very strong intuition. Here, let's say. Someone of a vision. Of a church. Orthodox church with a dome. This is before I started attending liturgy here. I've been dragging my feet and there's reasons and we'll get into all the details of that.
But Suffice to say, let's just say, I saw it. clearly missing my mind's eye because it's not really like it wasn't like a hallucination like you know, Picture outside. There was just more of a You know, an outline. Came to me. And so I interpreted that I'm like, oh so I'm here to build a church. I don't know how to build a church. Although I build a church maybe even going to church. How do I build a church? Okay, I'm here to build a church. I don't know.
Sure. And then but with along with that, I was like I need to get to a church now, I live three hours away from the from Persian City here. And so getting and that's where Ukrainian Church and Russian church and more traditional churches up, their things are real core up there as well. But I just getting up there and back on Sunday, which is difficult with family. And I've been saying, kind of like around me, not too far from
me, are some creatures. It basically, in a town, not far from the parish I go to. And I was hesitant about a Greeks politics and I'm like, oh, just go just go. Go and if they reject me in this horrible, whatever, just okay, fine but you've gone, right? You need to go. You step over the fresh old you gotta you gotta go, you need help. You do that. There's something else will happen.
So I started calling around and called one church was even closer, and that was only open for special holidays, but I was told, oh, but the priest who used to do Services here is moved to another church. And you can contact him there. Saint Mary's. As I did and I found out, it was actually a real Corporation. I just been established in a little Anglican Church. I've been going there for six months, so that would have been established about a year before.
It's using it. Was with the blessings of the anglians and they were in the process of buying the property. So I've started attending Saint Mary's. Every Sunday. I still about an hour away, but it's much more doable than three. And, and just recently, the just the day after the rotation, fast on the feast day and the donation Feast was when the papers went through. So now same areas is officially an orthodox Roe, coral and property glory to God for that.
My father, John says that. It's interesting because you technically during a holy fast like the drum Nation you know, supposed to conduct any real business. so, Theotokos waited because it had been put off and put off and put off and put off the responsibility. This end date and end date and date and never came, never came never came, you know, next week, next week, next week. And finally came over the day after the end of the fast. The Marriott.
Same Mary is the tokens so named after the mother called up for having a nativity Feast luncheon is September 21st. start a little surgical year, that's Yes, the theaters. so, Great things happen. You know. Have a vision of a church after an attack vision of a church after asking God, what do I do? Vision intuition, whatever you want to call it. The the answer essentially Church. And and this is again showing how prideful and then glory is like okay, I need to build a
church. Oh, you do, do you? How about just go to one? How about we, you go to one first before you start building things, but he how about that? I know you say your Builders and you build things and that's great and civil mind is civil, right? Yeah, good stuff but like maybe just go here, before you start laying foundations or kid, and the great thing is this church, I go to is, I mean, it is an established Anglican Church.
We're now have possession of and it's, it's you go inside Orthodox iconography and we start to build an iconostasis, but we'll be building stuff. We, there's a lot of property land that now is under the ownership of the row. Core And so, we'll be building. so, in a sense, I was right. But it's not I'll build the church. I'm gonna help. Things. But I do God bear Witness. Cheers. What do I do? God Church. Go to it, help. Go and help come and see. Us. I thought that was a nice little
story. um, but Okay. So her case reflection, I believe in demons and more importantly online, right? Then leaving, God I'm just rejecting this. I again I can't speak for the entire online, right? Woogie boogie woogie. I or even Shanahan herself I don't know there's one but I just think that unawareness and certainly an attention to one to the negative is not doesn't mean that it's more important than the positive. So, Oh, yeah, and if anyone has stories, I want to share go
ahead. Bill Hicks says, just before my baptism, I had numerous full-on demonic attacks after getting baptized not so much. I can think of a couple times that my demon. Raider is Seuss on, but nothing like these prior attacks. Yeah, well, this is common right. Many say that during their catechism, especially right before the baptism, they will
get more attention. Well, of course, because you're getting those hooks off, you, you're gonna be a vessel of the Holy Spirit and is that sealed in you, that's gonna Pee the demon off. Or grandma says, vainglory is a hell of a drug. I'm working on it. Well, Yeah. Yeah. Doing this stuff, right? Being social media doing any kind of stuff, special, your face, your name, your your words, my name, my fails, The Temptations of pride in being
glories. Very Very tenuous. All right, so I started saying this story. I started saying that whole story. Forgive me, I do this too much tangent. Befuddled mine. The People's. Okay, so the Prosperity Gospel people thinking that they Attune themselves to God and then all the good stuff, right? All the give me all good stuff. Will come. I think many people sometimes get. Knocked out of the true phase into more or lesser phase, that sometimes can be more productive in terms of material.
Well, in this stuff. This you go the influence her route. And it's easier. It's more seductive. Right? You can just say what the hell you want to say. Does he anchored any allergy doesn't? You're not, you know, you're not respecting a 2000 Year tradition. You're just like I'm Bob and I'm talking about God. My interpretation. I want to do a whole show on that those guys. Jim Bob, made by Jim Bob is doing great work on that. She go check it out. um, if you haven't already, but the I was
running to say is, is that? oftentimes, because we think we know, What we want? And how we use it. Please Lord. Give me a big giant YouTube account. so I can make all the money in another And we think maybe foolishly that we would be judicious and we would do all the good things with this thing. Maybe. But God knows you knows me knows us better than we know ourselves. we knows our Plate Falls, we knows He can see.
Us. Fully. and so, sometimes I think about this, if I woke you went to bed and woke up and you 30,000 or 300,000 follower count, all the sudden. What I know what to do with it. Would be a good Steward of that. I like to think I would. I'm trying to work towards some of those numbers, but the numbers don't matter.
I think about this with even the same marriage, my Parish, they started off 18 months ago, thereabouts, which I think six people because Father John to come over from the Greeks and decided to become a priest and row core, so he could bring more Australians who weren't ethnically Greek into the church. and, and so they started with I think six people and now, I'm not quite sure of the exact number. But we're at I think about 24 probably consistent. Parishioners. From 6:24 in 18 months.
That 24 people. Was that in social media world? Nothing. He'd be laughed at. You're nobody nothing. But 24 people are going or being led to this church and 24. People are going to have their souls. Hopefully. Looked out after remedy saved. Worth the wealth. And that is not Material. How do you put a number on that? You don't. And from 24 perhaps we grow into more but he just say a 24 or some other humble humble number of like that, it's still not zero.
Great hope. Glory gone, all things. Bill Hicks is made by Jim Bob. I mean, to this part of YouTube and Jay Dyer introduced you to Jim Bob as a content creator, Laura was already familiar with his meat. I think that's how you, you mean. Pretty sure. Bill. We met through something through. Crush streams, I think with either with Jim, or Whatever. But yeah. and I had, you know, As of late last year. I had a channel and all that things set up to do just sent it right? Political Theory.
It was working. I'm getting great numbers. Getting great reviews. Getting on bigger shows yada yada. And by December of last year, I knew I had done. I I can't explain to you exactly when this before, even being on AA. I was like and a few other things happening, because I just started seeing I won't call them demons. But, you know, We weird things. You know. Not quite demons but unsettling things things that I was like, this isn't right, this isn't right.
I built this wrong. Or it's going the wrong direction. I gotta. Turn it. And so for the last year, so I've been struggling with turning it to an orthodox show. Because he struggled with a but I'm losing Scrappers and losing views. I'm doing this. No, no, screw it now. It's got a show. Tony. Hello listener. Says something. I forget, he said this. I taught him one time on the show, or Privately, I can't remember. But regardless, Attributed to
him. He said, you know, it doesn't worry about algorithms and stuff, because it's His shows for God, as well. That's God's more powerful than algorithm. You're on team, God, you're on team creator of all things. Pretty good team to be on. I'm The Waterboy man. Like, you know, I'm not a spectator anymore. At least, at least I'm on the field. We're in the colors. Get there. You're going to be a base hitter. Sports. But you know what I'm saying? Like, It. That gives me the pause. Faith.
And there's that again to bring back to that motif of things, you say, things you think, and things you say, and you believe them and they're true. But you're not living them yet. They're not here yet. They kind of have to sink in. And there's as they sink in use realize, there's greater and greater levels of this. Christ says, If you had, but a mustard seed. of Faith, you can move mountains, you could tell that mountain to move and it would walk on water. Or miracles. To you.
They wouldn't be Miracles. They just be active faith alone. He, I'm always brought back to that idea of the mustard seed of face. So the fact that we can't do it, we can say, I have faith, I have faith, I have faith. You believe it? It's not a lie. And there's nothing litmus test is moving mountains. But you understand that if only a mustard seed of faith is required to move mountains and you can't do that, you have less
than a mustard seed. A, which would tell you something of where you're at. Share this story and we'll finish with this guy. I'm kind of I'm kind of done with this guy. Anyways, I feel like we've His whole thing really here is that people are blaming demons but you know, there's they're crazy. They care more about demons and they care about God blah blah blah online. Right. I used to work for the Daily Caller. Was it? Daily Caller. I don't work there anymore,
maybe it was. I feel like he's gonna talk about a little about its natural for devout Christians, explain the world through their faith. When it comes to politics, one is one has to understand where most people are and look for concrete explanations. How do you have, how do you offer concrete explanations about most political events? How do you offer concrete explanations about the war in Ukraine? Sending billions of not trillions of dollars in age to Ukraine is watching it.
Go down the drain. 1.7 million ukrainians dead or displays. Millions. Millions dead wounded critically. How do you explain that? Where's your, where's your concrete with that like to use that word concrete, Concrete Hard Evidence facts? Here's a hard evidence fact for you. 1.7 million ukrainians are dead. Because they were told to wage award that couldn't win. Britain and America. There's some concrete for you. Figure it out. Think about it. Sorted.
Where's that sit with you? How does that land? Hmm. I can go, there's gonna be more. It's easy peasy. Here's some concrete. You know that there's a child exploitation rings. It's known, it's reported all the time. They break them up. They say, look on another one. So you know that there is an industry. Of trafficking children. For. Not fun things. Right. We know it. We know they exist.
There's whole teams of people professionals and tasked with hunting them down and bringing the Justice I guess you go. Well, that's there you go. but explain that to me in concrete terms, how do you get there? How does that happen? How does it allowed to happen? Hmm. A Scotty. Where's your concrete there? How do you explain? Evil? True evil How do you make that make sense? How do you make the lockdowns of 2020 makes sense? And the suffering. It's been unresponsive.
No, no, no apologies. People from their families. I'm gonna bury their, their Grandmother's all about Grandma saving Grandma. He has tons of stories of people having to wait to grab until 2023. And they couldn't see her in the hospital. Couldn't spend the last few days with her. Make it make sense. Please, I implore you anytime. Make it make a political sense. Hmm, I'll wait.
Make it make sense that in America, they've supported, they put they propped up a man who, if we're just gonna follow the just a standard narrative. Things that are the biggest then have been allowed to be confirmed had dementia. And sure they go. It wasn't until the last year. No, no. No, no, no. He had it through the whole thing.
We anyone with eyes to see and ears of here could see that that man was compromised, physically, mentally, otherwise when he was running for president when Kamala Harris called him, a white supremacist for supporting buses back in the 1960s, or something about that, right? When she wasn't even in the country, He kept him, he was a guy who was a porter buses, who kept me from going to school you were in Canada. Make it make sense, Scotty. Concrete. Rationale. Make it makes sense.
Please. I'm not a dumb person. I mean, I'm not a genius but I'm not stupid. I'm not crazy. Well, Depending on your definition. But I'm not crooked, you know, whatever. Families fed grown daughter. Goes off to school. No abuse or anything. Not alcoholic. Well. Used to be not anymore. Yeah. Tons of different problems. Addressing and I, in the number one way, I've been addressing it over the last five years. Is for Christianity. By aware of demons and God. Satan. And Christ.
And if I say one before the other, it doesn't mean that I think that Satan's more important than Christ. Oh no. But it's in Bailey talked about is that Christ had the power and the authority. To terrify Demon's. Authority. Authority over reality over this world. Satan might be the prince of this world, but there is only one king. It's the only thing that makes it make sense. Christianity Christ, God. Orthodoxy is the only thing. That makes it make sense.
Otherwise. You just stare into these numbers. To these theories. During these GCS with people. Oh, I want this, I want that. Give me, give me. Give me. We'll take this, we'll have that when I have power, we'll do this. We'll have that. God bless them. But lacking discernment. Craving out for justice. and righteousness and just and and you know, True Justice against our enemies I hear is Revenge, Revenge Revenge They did me wrong. They did me dirty. I'm going to do them the same
way. And here's the thing, too. It's funny. No. You're identifying these enemies, you're saying, they did you wrong, you're gonna do that, and that times, 10 to them. Here's the thing, they left you alive, didn't they? You're obviously because you're Typing, this stuff. Quickly to go the extra extra mile. Right. Think about it. One of the. Interesting side effects. Awarenesses. For me.
When I started giving authority to my priest. asking them, can I have this so on, so on so That's a guest. Asked for Jay Dyer. And others. The. The effect for that, for me. Has been becoming more more conscientious. And it's almost like I haven't done confession yet but I'm looking forward to it. Looking forward to that like confession, I want it that off me.
All of it. but even, I'm looking forward to even past that when I will be giving weekly or monthly, or whatever, confessions, because even now I'm starting to practice that like, I wouldn't want to have to tell this if I'm inclined to do something. I got a little You know. Break your fast. Eat meat is well, no. I'll know. God will know. Anyway, I can print repent is to tell my Spiritual father, Praise My Father Confessor. You start with a small things.
And you build up the bigger sins, search history is whatever, right? Promises made broken. Lies. He's Pride anger, all this. All the all the, all the good stuff, right? And even when you're guarding yourself against and you're working against, it is hard as you can always put this. You're going to have those moments. You're gonna sin, you're gonna fall short. It's baked in, it's false nature. But you're trying to be more conscientious.
And the only way you can start to minimize these things and to address them fully On your own. All you never on your own, but you know I'm saying? In the moment where, where, in the moment when the Temptation happens, the moment with a little voice, this is where they get you, right? They first come here, talks Whispers. Sometimes gonna be more brutal. Just detail to experience most times. It's just a little Whispers in your mouth. He resentful. He jealous be. What are they have?
What covet, gimme, gimme gimme You deserve it. You worked hard. You know, how just this time, whatever it is. what's been recommended to me and I think this is common for me, he's that you don't give him landing pads. The way you do that is becoming more more conscious, not just the Whispers not just the Temptations. but to your own self. Your own weaknesses. To places where you're most vulnerable.
Secularists you can do this too. you can take it, you can at any point in your life and in fact, before I called out to God before I was told to Bear Witness. Leading the months leading up to my daughter's birth? I started looking at my life and I gave myself a really hard audit. I gave myself a few audits that year and one of the ones I gave it was like okay look I'm an angry person. You know, my default is annoying. I'm annoyed at everything. It's really easy to get me, you know?
Complaining. All right. He gotten worse. Funny enough. Stop doing drugs and got way worse. which is not say go do drug, but no say so then, I realized about, you know, I was like okay I got this this wrath issue. And I got to deal with it. Because I don't want to pass that on to my daughter. I don't want to just be, I don't want her to be angry or to be scared of me or You know, I got seven again. I don't beat my wife ring of
that kind of stuff. It doesn't get to that point, but but I can, I can spit the dummy. Pretty. Pretty well, that's a another Australian slang. It's like having a tantrum and that's how I see anger now, Get angry. And so when Riles you up bashing things, right? Toddler. It's embarrassing. Shameful. Grown man. 48 years old. Can't control his temper. When he what good are you?
So was through that Self auto that I'm like okay I gotta dress this summer and I hadn't gone to the religious part but I had started softening. I started saying the Jesus prayer just as like, well just see what happens. Right. Maybe it's a ancient form of therapy. The placebo effect, they kick in Something kicked in. Wasn't a placebo. These things are supposed to change you. For the better. Or they might go through periods. Where you like this?
Not so obvious. But it is for your betterment. God's love includes suffering. You're gonna go through it. You're going to suffer. The question is, do you suffer with a context, you suffer? Without despair. Or let's say with a mechanism that can help prevent despair. Address to spare, get rid of it, but its place. That's just a really a tool, the devil. The demons, Scotty. Or. Do you suffer and be full of Despair, isn't? Set up for server from Rose. Blessed. this is so let's pray
for miracles for Boomer grandma. And on a date at Donna says, I don't think I even have a mustard seed of a mustard seed. I don't even have a mustard. I don't even see. I got. A, you know, I could draw a picture of one maybe. On a good day. Yeah, you see how far away you are. And at times, you have these level up moments.
I've had this, where you feel leveled up, giving two things happen to me in July, July was a weird month for me because I was a family, got really sick for about three weeks. Cleared up enough to go see the Archbishop Georg and he was coming through. See our Parish. He starts with Australia. Overall Corps. So I got to meet him. and, Received blessings. and, so that and it was a very blessed month, my birthday but she blessings And and that kind of gave me a joyfulness, right?
In coming out of the sickness. And then the start of August, I began my catechism. Is. I got to spit on the double and man. That did something. Like, I felt happy. for the first time in, A very long time. Drew just happiness. And it wasn't like, Stupid. Like, I was just happy like, oh, Dang. This is what this happiness thing people keep talking about, it's pretty good. Oh, I kind of like this. I have can I can I just be happy for a bit? That'd be nice.
I still am like I'm I'm much less morose and annoyed and stuff than I was. Thinking of creep Jack in because the world get shows, you know, whatever. But yeah. and just say was, you know, build off with Boomer Ramos saying this is the fire and all these other things I just feel very Relaxed. I know it's not all on me. The show the work that has that I have to do things. I have to speak. I have to show up. I have to do the work. I have to do whatever, whatever.
Sure. But I don't have to take the weight of everything on me. It's God show. Every show of Prayer. Ain't that a thing? if I do nothing else with this show, or with my life, With this gift of this voice. I hope to do this. for all those who are Maybe at the crossroads. At a fence. I feel the tug. Not quite sure what that is. I'm someone who are very long time was resentful and angry at God, the death of my grandfather.
The way he died. he probably just his death alone, but I was young turned from God. Spat on him. I was resentful and angry didn't get what I wanted full of pride. My life was. Wouldn't say a disaster. but full of unhappiness and just You know. You know. I was Otherworld. but even throughout that, I look back and I can see the hand of God throughout Many, in many cases like there's one story when I was in Paris. I was. rolling a wasn't tobacco. Rolling a cigarette butt wasn't tobacco.
And I was that we were on the Metro the subway. We were getting off at a stop. I had this. Cigarette, my mouth. We hadn't lived in my mouth. And the door slammed shut on my leg. So, I fell down. And he were like oh and you know like because I was kind of a little space out. So I didn't really hit me what happened and the danger that I was now in. And people I was with like, oh, an extra because the train started moving.
Slowly at first but like you know how Subways can pick up speed and there I am with my leg cotton, this thing going. Oh, The mean starting getting dragged. And thankfully, the conductor saw and stopped, and opened the doors in my like I'm on and cigarette. Never left my mouth. Now, you can look back on that and go oh. Accents happen. Happy happens as you. Didn't get slammed into a wall with your foot caught in a Subway. In Paris. France.
No less. but, I look back on that and go. to me, that's clear evidence of the hand of God. Because I could have gone. Really bad way. And it didn't. And on says, how long were you were inquired? Before we became a catechism, just curious, it depends how you where you want to start with that. I would say that, I started basically inquiring in late
2020, right? Let's say 2021 well, because I had the religious experience in 2020 like 2020, I started seeing the Jews, I started to listen to some online Orthodoxy and stuff but I hadn't really um, I was still very much like sketchy about everything, I would say by 2021, I was inquiring on my own behalf. And then at the start of 2025, when did I start going to liturgy?
Mmm. March. Yeah. March, I'd have to I'd have to check but something like March. and, so, You know, March April May. June. July. So about six months, But I was, I was going. I was going most Sundays, I missed some along the way. so about six months, But that's fairly standard. Especially within more of a role core more of a Russian. Aspect and it can wildly on the priest. So please, you know, whatever and your relationship with the priest and whatever they see in
you. But generally speaking, I'd say between six weeks to six months, tends to be pretty pretty standard. And again, how it depends on. If you're going every time or you going to Vespers or how much they seeing you, Um because it's it's a marriage, right? They have to begin to have a relationship with you and start trusting and you that that if you start this process,
especially if you get baptized. So with catechism it can generally say, take about nine months to 12 months, generally, But again, that's down to the priest. You know. Some people been catechism for years. I think Jim Bob was a kind of human technically for for years. I don't know the exact number years. Correct me if I'm wrong, some people that happens. You know. And it's not really a Rhyme or Reason, or their devotion, or so
it's just up to the priest. So, if I am baptized in a year, it'll be, I guess, right before the donation fast. August of 2026. but, I'm not even in a weird way, you think about it and you expected and you're preparing and doing the course. And doing those things, you're sending all these things but it's like, you got to come almost like That's baptism is important. I look forward to being baptized. I need to be baptized As an important to it, don't get me
wrong. At the same time. if all you do is think baptism, then you're missed, then you're like You're not paying attention. You're going to gain that ground. You know, in some ways you gotta be worthy of it. if that takes nine months, 12 months, two years. You know. joked about the to my, Prison. Like, I don't want to probably invite Jim Josh down for the baptism and like as well. You know, Jim's getting on years. I so, you know, wait, 15 years, So so priests all my for that
matter. I'm like, you know, hey, takes it takes as long as it takes father, but you know, Maybe less than 20 hopefully but we'll see. We'll see. Go. I say it's up to my priest. It's up to God and the sermon of the priests. So we will get to Father several stuff. I'm just enjoying talking to the chat. Of course like subscribe. Share go Super Chat. Yay. Go to church. Talk to priest. And tip your streamer. Bill says, I started attending liturgy and praying even in my heart wasn't fully in it, and I started to feel a difference. Now, both my mind and heart know that God is real, and we can personally know him. Yeah, we know through the Sun. And through the Holy Spirit. Know, him know of him. It works on you. It's really important. The prayer rules really important as well. And it's not just because of ritual thing.
It sets your mind in a Direction. and, it's interesting to see when you don't do it or you miss one or you speed it or you know you do a Chop up job or whatever. And you know it and I'll speak personally and it bugs me bug me all day. Like, Say extra. And see interesting thing right for getting to pray or being hesitant to pray or some of that. Oh It takes like five minutes, really 15 and whatever coming off as you read. You can just do it middle of the day. Throw out a Jesus prayer.
It's super simple. You gotta do it from the heart. But you know what I'm saying? Like just be attentive and do it. Hmm. Why it's free. It takes nothing. It's good for you. Be like being hungry going on but I don't want to eat but just eat something. Have an apple. You don't have to cook it. Oh, look at well, then feel like it Do it. Dummy. I'm talking to myself here.
I'm not talking to anybody in the chat like we all go through, we have those moments like, oh, You know, you're gonna feel better, you know, it's good for you, people. It's, you know, that's it, you know, it's right thing to do, just talk about your benefits for yourself, you know, it's just the right thing to do. so thing you do, Dummy, just do it. Mmm. He'll say it's not the placebo effect, but let's just grant that it is why wouldn't anyone
everyone? Why wouldn't everyone want to have this placebo effect to their? Yeah I know that's kind of Like I said, it's kind of what brought me a little bit to it was softened me to the point where I was like, well look if it is just a whizzle waddle thing. Well, it seems to work for a lot of people and I need I need some help. So I'll just say it maybe it'll just whistle Wuzzle something, right? I'll still be an atheist, I won't believe in it really but you know, maybe I believe in a
little bit we'll get some some help. and, you know, Now, I go to liturgy. Was about six months this is Bill getting but I was attending almost every service and I was attending a Serbian Church before for about a year. I'm baptizing Roku by the way. Uh yeah like I said it's it's down the priest. Attendance and and certainly being available and and present for the church goes, a long way.
you know, but I've heard stories of people who do all that and have been a catechism for a very long time because you know, it,
maybe the preseason, you know, it's good for them to wait. so, I guess my again, my thing is this is like I'd expect a lot of people coming to this chat, maybe are Orthodox already, but for those who aren't and are inquiring or whatever, you know, take those steps and don't think about the reward or the destination so much like you know where it's going to be in you know, glory to God you'll get there eventually one day whenever is fine but Prayer rule.
You know, talk to your priest about fasting, talk to your priest about all of it, you know, even your prayer rule talk to your priest about it. You don't have to read the whole prayer book, probably or maybe you do. I don't know. Talk to your Breeze. Do you see the Rhythm we're going in here? All all things. That's why I put the scroll
there too. Bill said, I actually asked my priest if I could postpone my baptism my six months and my priest said that there was fine and then I thought about it, if my priests, I was ready, I should listen to him. Yep. Yeah, the other thing too. Is that your priest is has got the responsibility on him? So his teachings, his baptisms, his who he accepts into church, and there's possibility falls on him, it's a heavy
responsibility. I mean, he's basically caretaking to a certain extent, your soul, he's instructing and, and helping you with your soul. It's a heavy responsibility. but and you should, you know, try to help him with everything else but only your priest can can That's his responsibility. It's not yours. Now that might sound like, whoa, okay. Well, I don't have to worry about that. Say no. I used to do all the other work, but like you have to let him be. You have to let him do his thing.
You're not the priest. Don't pretend to be. Don't start making decisions out of school. It's not DIY, right? You have you're being given an instructor. Good, follow him. Because ultimately responsibilities on him. Anyways. so, Let him have his responsibility. He said that a lot of people often feel that they're not ready and that catechism is really a lifelong thing. We're always learn more about God. Yeah. Very true. yeah, the baptism is
Is my one holdout criticism? I will always give the Protestants is that if you think the baptism is is the one and done, right? Like Boop, you're good, I've joked about it, but it wouldn't be a bad business idea to have drive through baptisms for Protestants, don't do that. That's a joke. But you know, well sure why not? You know, that's all you need. Sprinkle some water on you, off, you go. the problem in that, of course, is that well But you're always sinning. You know.
Just gonna be sinning. If you get baptized as a Protestant and then the next day lie about something. Well, what do you do? Go. That's fine. Good. I you know, good don't Even get done three times. Probably did you Now, you probably get the one dunk and you're such a really good. Don't you? Get the three. But it's a preparation is the authority who has Authority. If Russell Brand and his wife in his tiny whities can donkey in the teams in your good mate.
So what I mean, I get it, he's just helping with whatever, but okay this is Russell Brandon authorities like a day, one Christian. Have authority could have authority. Well, we all have authority now because I read the Bible. Bunch. What I read the Bible as an atheist and you quite a few Bible stories, all by heart, as an atheist. and even my time by four, before when I wasn't one, I think that give me Authority. If I can quote the Bible. See.
It's more difficult than that, more complex, but more complicated. Darn You're gonna have to. Submit yourself to an authority. Oh no. It's my might admit that. You don't know everything. Oh, Here's the other one. Sit down for this one, you have to Get some Vapors out for you. It's not all about you. Spoke machine as I have smoking back. Yeah, you know. Yeah. So you Already gone. It's not a hole about you about me. My goodness.
There's a miracle. It's something to not be about me. Like, in participate in that, it's, that is helping me. It helps my family helps a whole bunch of stuff, but it's not all about me. What is this weird thing you're talking about? Its liturgy. Go experience it. Most of it is the priests not even look at you. He's praying for you and for everyone in tennis and for the world itself and you go and you find out there's a was an atheist video about talking about this.
Guy's says he's an atheist. I think he's probably on his way to not being one, but anyways, he went to orthodox. Liturgy. And one of the things he said was like, oh, it's amazing, it's not about me. Priest will talk to you afterwards and dresses. The lady had various points in liturgy, but The homies for us. Sure. He's talking to instructing. But if you weren't there, if no one was there. Guess what? He was still happen. Liturgies, for God. We're just partaking in it.
Like walking to a conversation that was gone going. That you can be part of that, acknowledge you. The conversation is going on. The conversation has gone on long before you were there and we'll go on long after you're gone. And while you're there, they can, yeah, cool. But it's not about you. and, well, you can offer your opinions and All that stuff, cool. Yeah. Bill Hicks says, I can't stand Russell Brand, maybe that's not a very Christian thing to say, but maybe it is, yeah.
Forgive him. Look. I think there's every reason to suspect that Russell, Brandon many, those celebrities are gonna get involved in Christianity one way shape, or form, or doing it, for very selfish reasons. but I mean, we're all doing it for a selfish reason that they, you know, Calling out. Why help me me? Help me. I'm sick. I got these problems. I need to address these things. I'm sinful. I'm this, I'm that me. Me me. It starts off with that. And for many people is going to
contend with that, okay? But I'm not here to judge. Someone's faith. If he starts doing things that I'm like, whoa, okay. Leading other people's astray. There's somebody criticized. But the man himself, I don't know the man. I know the character he plays on stage. Or is on his podcast. Is that Russell Brand, Maybe? Maybe. Not. Probably some facsimile, some approximation some character. If you really knew him knew him and maybe he lives that character a lot more.
Than you know, you do these things. Integrate them? So maybe he's more like the character the characters more like him. Sure. But I don't know. How can I say these things? So I can criticize the character. I can say if he's leading people strike is certainly can't criticize that but the more I've watched him and I just watched him a bit of time to Charlie Kirk he seems a bit more, he's still talking that, you know, It's a lot of talk. But I I like to think.
I detected some sincerity there. like he's, he is trying and God bless him for that. God bless him. Pray for him. If you the easiest thing in the world, right? It's the hardest thing to do. But it's it's really super simple. Find someone you're upset with or upset you, or you. Pray for. I know, right? I I and again, no, I'm not even, he's like trying to instruct you I'm like I suck at this. Worsted worst. Worst worst. Far worse than you.
You know this whatever. Sure. Why is this a simple things so hard? You get in your way. Image yourself up is down, down is up. And feels like sometimes good, right? It doesn't get you anywhere. Russell Brand doesn't care about you or me. but one, he doesn't know we exist and even he did I'm sure he was like, okay, Oh, you don't like me, okay. He's gonna attack by, you know, guardian and a whole bunch of people at this point.
I'm pretty sure any. I think we can say to him is like okay I'll add a list the pile of complaints. Okay. Yeah. Sure. I know Teddy. Why do you Not my fan is how her. The problem is with these guys, is that everything's on display, right? I don't know how that I don't know how that how he was out. Like I said this about Jordan Peterson. You know, the one thing I can because I'm criticized him as well. And jumped on that bandwagon. I think it's deserved.
To a degree. At the same time I don't know how what a day in life of Jordan Peterson. I couldn't even proximate that that level of like scrutiny, especially that stuff. He went through for a few years there when he spoke about butal 6016, And he had the whole world
come down on him. He was, they made him, they made him into the, the caricatured him as a red skull in the Marvel movie, in the Marvel Comics. Basically making him into a Nazi for telling young men to clean the room and you know, lobsters and stuff. It's the most like really, you know, you spend some time in more extreme rooms and you look back and go. Jordan Peterson's is like milk toast, man. It's down. Been cleaned the room. Pro Israel and what yada sure.
but, I mean, normies normies is just, he was just here's how in case how, how crazy it had gotten at that point or was getting was someone just pointing out. Hey, this pronoun thing is probably gonna lead to bad results by the way if you keep doing this shouldn't do that shouldn't have compelled speech and was our What? He's an office of this. He's that maybe. But whether he is, or was or will or became or Etc? He's under a microscope. Maybe less now.
I mean that's why I had to go away to Russia because I've been oh, sure, whatever speculations. But regardless I don't know how that feels. I have nothing to compare it to. Like not even like in the ballpark of consideration. I haven't even been like 15 minutes of fame or something. I can go. Well, you must be like that, but times, X number years? No, I don't. I'm some nobody nothing on the internet.
You know. but even to try to mentally put myself in that shoes of being in a position where everybody Is out to get you. Everybody wants something from you. Or if they can't get something, you can't give it to them. They'll take it from you. It's swimming with sharks. and you got us now, just Learn how to swim real good. Or become a shark, or your Chum. Chum bud. I have no idea how that feels what that reality would entail. What that would do to you or me
or to a person? Probably not good things. Probably not. So, Jordan Peterson on the final grade, is he handling it? Well, I don't know what. Well what what? Well would be? Right. I mean, if we look at flame out cases and there's some some examples of that and celebrity world You know he's not he didn't do a Lindsay Lohan. I mean he had the benzos thing whatever. Sure. But It is. Horrible, you know horrible ways of going about that.
Bill says, what do you talk about Jason your famous you've had about 20 people? Listen to for hours. Well there you go. Alright, that is that is a consideration. a bit more than my counters says 109, but probably not can continue his There is that consideration? Oh bills, don't worry about him. I put that thing up there. Just a thing to have up there, but I, I'm very inconsiderable things down here. Let's get rid of this. Present. Yeah, screw it.
God show but I'm out here. You know, begging. Copper provides, sorry. Never and it to anyone listening or watching in the future. Never feel bad about anything that You know. You give, you can, you can't. Don't worry, like, subscribe, share. Easy. You want to, you want to repay me really well. Really want to repay me. If you're, if you have, if you are Orthodox, go to liturgy. And if you're not worth, it looks good literature. Go, come and see. That's repayment.
That's what I do this for. Really. could have stayed in political Theory, like, Could be out there some for Trump or whatever. Mano. This is This is, this is true. If I got nothing else I might well is. But it's I ain't telling you no lies. That's something right. There's my Niche, YouTube. Bill says yeah, honestly, come and see is the best apologetic. it was supposed to get to celebration for other servers, but I feel that this is The fellowship is is doing just that.
Probably there's a interesting character, right? He said he's a good one to always bring up sometimes when special more right wing circles, they talk, you know, almost sexuals in this and that. of course, I'm not promoting homosexuality or a lifestyle pride, and but, Father, Sarah from Rose was a homosexual. Was deep into Alan, Watts was a student under Alan Watts. His deep into that esoteric new way down at a And found it unsatisfying. That something was pulling out of me going.
This is not right, it's not true. Numbers through Orthodoxy goes, the extra mile. One talk about repentance. Becomes a monk celibate. Doesn't famously didn't used to not wash. Long stretches. Just out there in the woods. Apparently, occasionally appearing in Berkeley. To give speeches is great. You found on YouTube. the audio
version of this book, God's revelation to human heart. which Buck Johnson and many others have credited his as a turning point for them for to inquire Sure, one image here. It's from Death of the world. We'll do a little bit of this. Yeah. Right now, go to death to the world.com. You can get yourself. I think it's still going. You can get yourself a digital copy digital download of their second episode. The second issue. Sorry.
This, of course the famous Zayn. Orthodox signs been going on for quite some time. just, There you go. Oops. There's father, Sarah from picture of him reposed. This is It say here. Monk, Sarah from Rose, three days after his death. There's something, we were intent, as I guess when this picture was taken and said that looked like, you could just wake up at sleep. Hey, he died. He was very peaceful was a smile on his face. He died. I believe he had he had a cancer. By painful.
There is. What do we mean by death to the world? The world is a general name, for all the passions, when we wish to call the passions by a common name, we call them the world, but we wish to distinguish them by their special names. We call them the passion's. The passions are the following love of riches desire of possessions bodily pleasure for which comes sexual passion. Love of Honor which gives rise to Envy lust for power arrogance
and pride of position. The Cravings to Adorn oneself of luxurious clothes and vein ornaments, the ish for human Glory which is a source of rancor and resentment and physical fear Where these passions cease to be active. The world is dead. Someone has said that the saints that while alive, they were dead for through. Living in the flesh. They did not live for the flesh.
C for which of these passions you are alive, then you will know how far you how far you are alive to the world and how far you are dead to it. Saint Isaac. The Syrian. Last for Rebellion, the radical teachings of Monk from Rose by Monk demises Christiansen. It was all over for what was once known as Christian
civilization. We're living in a post-christian age, as a mad Prophet. Frederick Nietzsche said, the 20th century will be the Triumph of nihilism and this Triumph said my monk Sarah from Rose. Will end in A Reign of Anarchy. Nylon is the means and his is the end. Comes from the world, nearly meaning nothing. Needs you Define nihilism? Thus there is no truth. There is no absolute State of Affairs.
No thing in itself, this alone is nihilism and the most extreme kind Father, Sarah from wrote that nihilism has become in our time. So widespread and pervasive has entered so thoroughly and so deeply into the minds and hearts of all men living today that there is no longer any front on which you may be fought. This is the mindset of modern
society. and as the way of the future, But of a bandit of Truth has become the Main Street. Then when that who then are the rebels, not the nihilists who opened the who openly declare the life has no meaning and live as though it did not They are only victims who have been devastated by the spirit of the
time's. the Christians then known if they've sold out to the world and while immersed in their six squeaky clean worldliness act as if they're trying to stand for something other worldly, Know, the true Rebels. Are those who mother deeds and lives spit on, both the false of the world and on the mainstream of nihilism that refuses to see
above the world. Such a rebel was monk, Sarah from Rose. Father seraphim was born into a typical white, middle-class Protestant family in San Diego, 1934 while growing up. He was at the proverbial dutiful child in academic achiever. After High School. However he began to passionately seek the answer to the question. Why? and not finding it in society, in which he had been raised began to Rebel He refused to
accept the accepted answers. This was at the very beginning of the modern Counter Culture of the early 1950s. Father, Sarah from became a student of the of one of the countercultures, first pioneers, Alan Watts. He literally realized was a total sudo. so it's gonna say psycho, but Yeah, Alan Watts. If you don't know if anyone's listening to this, go check them out on YouTube. It's easy. They've made tons of videos out of him and his little speeches. And do this. because, I'll say
this about animals. And this is otherwise, there's other contemporaries like that too. It was one guy. I can't think of his name. It'll come to me. It'll just pop out regardless. They Master the gift, it's a little bit, we're talking about with Russell Brand, they've mastered the gift of talking to Lots saying, many many words just blithering amounts of Words, which I have respect for. I mean, talking nonstop for almost six hours, right? So, hey, that's off. The. But they say nothing.
There's like no meaning to what they're saying. is all this like it just poetic flowering this Very Buddhist. Very Hindu. Very, and you get down to when you're like, okay, And then what? And then we'll just him to your mind of mindfulness. Use you? Use your mind to empty ones, mind? Oh really. Okay. How would one's mind know if it was? Mine is empty or pray tell? Anybody could pull off this magic trick and say that we have confidently. Cool what and then what do we
do? I had one thought about this. Interesting. I don't like doing this backward, you know, thing with with, with people's religions. But I always think that you take Buddhism right and one of the things about his empty, your mind. Well if the demons kind of enter in through thoughts and Whispers And my mind either was there attempted to defend themselves Didn't have knowledge. Chrysler, didn't have that access to that? Or maybe they didn't they, if
didn't know. No, the best way to have not have bad. Thoughts is have no thoughts at all. Okay. It's just a thought side quest. So father for Server became a student of the ones one of the countercultures. Great first pioneers, Alan Watts. We later realized was a total pseudo. And became a Buddhist Bohemian and San Francisco. He learned ancient Chinese in order to study the Dao, Tai ching and other ancient Eastern texts and the original language.
Hoping their thoughts thereby to tap into the heart of the wisdom. By this time, he had wholly rejected, Protestant Christianity of his formative years, which regarded as worldly weak and fake. So, he was right about that. He mocked his concept of God and said that it put God in a box. He read Nietzsche until the prophets words. Begin to resonate in his soul with an Eclectic infernal power. I think we use profit in. Almost pejorative. All this time.
You've been seeking the truth is mine, but the truth had eluded him. He fell into a state of despair which described in later years as a living hell. He felt he did not fit in the modern world. Even in his own family who did not understand him. It was as if he had somehow been born out of place out of time, I can connect with that. He loved the Roman to the stars, but he felt that there was nothing out there to take him in. No God nothing.
The Buddhist nothingness, left him, empty just as it did, the founder of the Beat Movement. Check heroic. Why on the road is still one of my favorite books. It's not great books, not even a good book, but it's it's so on my favorites. And like heroic, father, Sarah from turn to to drink. He would drink wine graciously and it would pound on the floor, screaming at God, to leave him alone. Once while drunk, he raised a fist to Heaven from a Mountaintop Curse God and dared
him to damned him to hell. In his despairs seemed worth being down Forever by God's Wrath. If only he could empirically know, the gods that God exists rather than remain in the stagnant state of indifference. If God did them to hell, at least he would in that Blissful. Instant fuel God's touch and know for sure that he was reachable. Who was killed God. You and I We are all his murderers, but how have we done it? How were we able to drink up?
The sea who gave us a sponge to wipe away the whole Horizon. What did we do? When we loosened this Earth from its Sun whether does it now. Move away from All Sons, do we not Dash on dash on unceasingly backwards sideways forwards and all directions? Is there an above and a below? Do we not strange? The infinite nothingness does not the night. Come on continually darker and darker Nature. Atheism, fathers ever, Rose and
Rose wrote in later years. True existential atheism burning with hatred of his seemingly unjust or unhealthful. God is a spiritual state. Sometimes someone has a truth. That is. So true. You don't know even know what to do with it. I had a few of those. Last few years. And this is one of them because I lived this. It is a true spiritual State and the only thing you can do is try to numb yourself. Obliterate it disinter yourself. I don't want to be me. I don't want this.
This dead feeling because you've embraced death. God is life. You've embraced death to reject, God is reject life. Through that again. Atheism, father, Sarah from wrote and later years. True existential atheism burning with hatred of a seemingly unjust or unmer. God is a spiritual state is a real attempt to Grapple with a true God, whose ways are so inexplicable inexplicable. Even to the most believing of men that has has more than once been known to end in a blinding
vision of him. Whom the real atheist truly seeks. It is Christ who works in these Souls. The Antichrist is not to be found primarily in the great deniers, but in the small firmers who crises only on the lips, Nature and calling himself. Antichrist prove, their by his intense hunger for Christ. In his robes. In searching through various ancient religious Traditions. Father several wrote, once went to a visitor Russian, Orthodox church later. He wrote about this experience.
For years in my studies, I was satisfied with being above all Traditions, but somehow to them, when I was visited an orthodox church, it was it was only in order to view another tradition. However, when I entered the Orthodox church for the first time a Russian Church in San Francisco, something happened to me that I had not experienced in any Buddhist or other Eastern Temple. Something in My Heart said that it was home that all my search was over.
I didn't really know what this meant because this service was quite strange to me in a foreign language. I began to attend Orthodox Services, more frequently, gradually learning his language and customs with my exposure to Orthodoxy into Orthodox, people a new idea began to enter my awareness. The truth was not just an abstract idea sought and known by the mine was something personal. Even a person sought in Love by the heart. And that is how I met Christ.
Here, I'm becoming Orthodox. Father, Sarah from continued, despise the modern world, and hope for nothing from it. He wanted only to escape it, he felt no less if not more estranged. The Christianity had been raised in for a while that Christianity was at home in the world, his was radically otherworldly. He had finally found that the designation of man's existence and it was this man, his men for another world. Father, Sarah from was an
aesthetic. Faith sorry father Sarah from was an aesthetic face, he wanted a Christianity that emphasized, not earthy canceled, consolation and benefits, but rather heavily Redemption through intense suffering on Earth. No other kind rang true to him. Who had suffered so much, Only a God, who will allowed his children to be perfected for heaven through suffering and who himself. So the example by coming to a life of suffering, only such a
God was capable of drawing. The Afflicted world to himself and was worthy to be worshiped with a highest spiritual faculty man. In his journal, father from Rose wrote. Let us not would be Christians, expect anything else from it? And then to be crucified. For to be Christian is to be crucified in this time in many and anytime. Since Christ came for the first time, his life is the example and warning to us.
All we must be crucified personally, mystically for through crucifixion is the only Pastor Resurrection If we would rise with Christ, we must first be humbled with him, even to the ultimate humiliation, being devoured and spit forth. But the uncomprehending world We must be crucified outwardly in the eyes of the world. For Christ's kingdom is not of this world. The world cannot bear it even a single representative of it even for a single moment.
The world can only accept Antichrist now or any other time. No wonder then that it is hard to be a Christian. Is not hard. It is impossible. No one can knowingly accept a way of life, which the more truly it is lived leads the more surely to one's own destruction and that is why we constantly Rebel try to make life easier, try to be a half Christian. Try to make the best of both worlds. We must ultimately choose our publicity lies and the in one
world or the other not in both. God gives us the strength to pursue the path of crucifixion. There is no other way to be a Christian. Before he had found the truth. Father seraphim has suffered for the lack of it. Now having founded, he suffers on sake of it. He devoted the rest of his life, living that truth and killing himself to give it to others. Together with our young Russian, man, named gleb, put it put it, sorry, I can do this live podcast. He formed a Brotherhood which
practices the do it yourself. A philosophy. They opened a bookstore. In San Francisco, began printing a small magazine by hand on a Letterpress refusing to become a dependent arm of the other worldly Church establishment later, partly to avoid this very establishment. They moved their printing operations to the Wilderness of Northern California, but the begin to live, like desert dwellers Wilderness Aesthetics of ancient time.
There was no running water on their forest, mountain know, tell us no telephone electric lines. They build their buildings themselves. Out of lumber taken from old Pioneer dwelling and hold water on their backs up the mountain. They lived with deer. Fox's rabbit, squirrels bats, mountain lions scorpions and rattlesnakes hard no to me. That's how far I am away from this. I hear all like, Oh, all right. Well I'm gonna wait for God to tell me to go there.
Okay, how about that? I mean, I'm You know baby steps brother you but appreciate your efforts. In 1970, they became monks thus denying forever. It's thus dying forever to the world. And this time, the church establishment, tried to shut down their Wilderness Hermitage and make them standard pastors for parishes in the world. The two monks fought a long and hard against this and after much suffering she victory. In the wilderness. Father servant, Spirit began to
soar the city. He once said, is for those who are empty and pushes away those were filled. The desert keeps though the desert keeps those who are filled and allows them to thrive.
Working by candlelight in his tiny cabin, father's from produced a great number of original writings, and translations of ancient aesthetic texts in America, has riding have so far reached only select circles, but in countries formerly behind the Iron Curtain, they have had an incalculable impact on human lives. That's something that some people don't know, were talking about that. Yeah, a lot of his early copies of his books, made it over to Russia.
And Soviet Russia. Got transmitter was written in Russia. and, And he became an undercurrent. and so I think in many ways fathers ever Rose and at least has some mayor of some responsibility for Russia, being an Orthodox, Christian country now He's part of that part of the flow.
That's great and all things. During the Communist era, they were secretly translated into Russian and distributed in the underground press Sam's Sammy's that in the form of type, written manuscripts by the time of the fall of the Communist power in 1991. Father, seraphim was known all over Russia. Today, his books are on the sale everywhere in Russia, including books, the book tables in the
Metro subway on the streets. The reason that he was has made as such greater market and rush on Russia than in his homeland, is because the Russian people know how to suffer Father suffers message the underground Christianity suffering and persecution in this world of sacred truth touches a responsive chord and people who've already been crucified. In America, people would rather hear their nice messages of preachers like Reverend Robert Schuller.
By the way, broadcast is show to Russia where people can hardly believe how stupid it is. Up, I met father, Sarah from a year and a half before his death in 1982. Like him. I've been seeking reality, through Eastern, religions, Etc, by seeking to escape pseudo reality through a zen-like breakdown of logical thought processes, finally reduced to despair. I listened to Syd Barrett's two schizophrenic withdrawal.
Childhood regression solo albums over and over, until I had memorized all his words salads in Russia. This is known as going crazy on a full stomach. Then one day father. Sera. Sera from came to the campus where I was going to school. He drove an old beat-up, pickup truck and merge with his worn out. Black robe. His long hair is exceedingly, long raid beard, which had
become matted. I found out later he had not taking a bath or shower since becoming a monk 11 years before, which is common monastic practice, and his reel grease in Egypt, Egypt. But for some reason he didn't smell It was image of absolute poverty. The next thing I remember is walking with Father, served with the college dinner had just ended.
The students were milling and hanging out the cafeteria everyone was staring at father, sir from but he walked through them as naturally as if he had been at home. The middle, that's Progressive American college. He seemed like someone who had just stepped out of the fourth Century Egyptian desert. Father server went to a lecture room and delivered, a talk called signs the coming end of the world. He happened to be sick at the time, sniveled throughout the lecture.
Obviously exhausted, he yet remained clear-headed cheerful and ready to answer questions at length. I can see he was these as learned and is far more, and far, more wise than any of my professors and yet he was clearly a man of the Wilderness or at home in a forest and in the classroom. what struck me the most about father, Sarah from, was that he That he was a man who was who sacrificing himself, totally forgot for the truth. He was on a university. Professor receiving a
comfortable salary. The world hates, you know, that it hated me before it hated you Christ. so, one thing, We talked about suffering, we have suffering. this and that, the other thing, Oh, there's levels of this. and there's things that we don't do, we shy away from Saying things in front of meal for public Ross. I need to get one. A little bunch of Shameless. The world's watching in the world is improve of what we want. We'll call us names. We'll say, this is what you
believe. This is what you believe. They don't know which we believe they have never read it. Someone they took a world's world's religion course and grade 12 and that's their thing they went and they were raised kind of loosely in the some Christian tradition. they've turned their back on it long time ago, because All these things are just atheist factories. Would you believe? This is what you believe? You don't like these people. You don't like those people.
You hate this. You hate that. and, This is something that even a catechism even inquire. this is maybe the bit of a bottle for the ortho Bros. Is you bear responsibility? You step over that threshold and said, sure. when you see your pears, Thankfulness to God. Before you do that. but even as you walk away from that, even if you haven't been baptized, even if you haven't started anything officially Be a good representative. Be honest. People what you experience?
What you saw, not what you thought, you saw know what you wanted to see now, but you expected to see. I had that question asked to me sometimes after I started going to liturgy. People said, you know, is it what you expected? I understand the question. And I understand even their sentiment behind the question. but I kept giving them a sort of like, you know, Dog, magic trick face. Because I couldn't answer. I don't know, I don't know how to answer that.
Is it what I expected? Well, God was there. But, you know, the only answers I could give someone like that is answers that he wouldn't understand either. They were just we both be like dogs magic trick face. Oh, was it what you expected? God was there, huh? Her come see. I would always describe the fullness of God. and, and just partaking in a Molecule of it. and, It was Grace. How do I describe that? How do it's what I expected. I'm not even ridiculing the
question. I understand that, you know, it's something that I would have probably asked Yes, but it's not it's not an expectation. Like It's not a yes, no thing. He's just be polite and go. Yeah, yes maybe. they're so caught up in this idea that again, if you're raised in some sort of protestant, you know, even I think with the Roman Catholics do this as well, is that it's too you. It's this performance. Ceremony. But it's not that. It's much much more.
It's not something you. You can put into words with the more you words, you apply to it. The more you cheapen it in some ways because you bring it to the world. You bring it down. this is coming from someone who, Dragged my feet, you know, going to liturgies really had nothing in my head. I can do with my own ass too far. This that's car travels out of it. excuses, I just I wasn't ready, Maybe. All right, was ready. And I was giving myself the world, still had his hooks and whatever.
I was an idiot was a schmuck. Yeah, sure. Sure, got earlier maybe whatever. No regrets. I went when I went And its glory is. Glorious. So simple. It's just simple. It was so hard to do the simple thing. And you do the simple thing and you just want to do the simple thing all the time. So beautiful. Or was I? Was struck me most about father serving, was it that he was a man was sacrificing himself. Totally forgot for the truth. It was on a university.
Professor receiving a comfortable salary. For being sent be for being a disseminator of knowledge. Nor he was a Norway was a religious leader who Honkers his after power influence, or even a bowl of fruit to be places his feet as the spiritual Masters, who then had followers in the area, he was not into religion or what he could get out of it. He was not looking for a crutch to enjoy spiritual life.
He was just a simple monk who saw the truth above all else and I knew be on a shadow of a doubt that he would die for that truth for I could sense that he was dying for it already. It those who have suffered in men's pain in this world, can leave far more deeply than those who have not that there must be
another world. Those who like, Father serum had felt themselves out of place in modern society who have been devoured and spit for the uncomprehending world can understand better Christ's radical call for rejection of the world and Rebellion against it. That's not accepted ones. Who can hear? Father's seraphim's message. Not of this world and carry it out to the end. Just as, in the time of Christ, it was the outcasts who get the point.
Even an atheist maybe closer to God than the right believing one. If the former is suffering for his unbelief in the latter is smug and complacent, in his belief, as father, sir from said, God is working the souls. The great deniers more than the, than those the smaller firmers.
As early as 1965 come to many of the conclusions of the punks of today had come to. He said that Humanity when divorce from God naturally becomes sub humanity and that humanism become subhuman, those artists and musicians who depict modern Godless and autonomous man as empty disparaging and rage and dehumanized. Hey closer to the truth in the naive. Happy humanists would try to look at the Modern situation with optimism.
A few years later in 1962 father Sarah from wrote an essay in which he traced the course at nylon takes George about the evil. One, his words provide provoked As proved prophetic and subsequent decades.
At the last stage of nihilism he said is liberalism by which he meant the attempt to work out, a compromise between the old order, Christian civilization and the New Order of humanity without God. At the second stage is realism in which belief in the whole world and transcended Truth is abandoned and the hole concentration is on the material
world. Physical well-being, technical progress, Etc. Realism, however, denies man's unplanned irrational needs and therefore must evoke a reaction against it, which is the third stage vitalism. In the vitalist stage, the Criterion of Truth is substantially substitute for new standard, the life-giving the fight and the viral, and the vitals.
Sorry. This may take the form of despacito spiritual experiences, the invoking of powers and presences or else other Cult of nature with his primary ailments the of the Earth, the body, and sex, sounds familiar. our mother agent, vitalism Vitalism fathers ever said. Is an unmistakable symptom of world weirdness. It is a product not of the freshness and life, and it's an immediacy, its followers, so desperately seek precisely because they lack of them. Burning man, right?
Vitalism activity, ooh, sexy. Lubrication of the flesh. Or the corruption and unbelief that there are that they are. But the last phase, the dying civilization. They hate But goodness, Jimmy 78. Now following, thank you. Thus followers from believe, Beyond vitalism. There can be only one more definitive stage, which notes and may pass the nihilism of Destruction. Here. At last he wrote we find an almost pure niasm a rage against
creation against civilization. That will not be appeased until it has been until it has reduced them to Absolute destruction. Vengeful son. It. Since father server wrote about this in 1962, the youth movements have tended to correspond with the stages. He outlined hippie movements of the 60s and early 70s were example, vitalism reaching against a dead liberalism and dry realism. Of the 50s where science was expected to take care of everything.
Conformity was a rule and spiritual seeking looked down upon by the 80s and 90s the ideals of the hippies had proved naive and simplistic and their vitalism gave way to manifestations of the Niles of Destruction and now more far, fragmented youth culture. This is where we are at today and Beyond it. Followed her from said is anarchy Which is now we're truly entering. There's remnants right 80s and through the 2000.
You know, many people have commented that it feels like culture has moved really since like 1995. And so and even I would say, living through the 90s it was kind of like a elongated 80s taking away from some of the neon and so forth and replacing it with you know, Echoes of the past. I remember, The Woodstock festival, right? And the 90s, they revived Woodstock. he the one of the models of that was the 90s are like the 60s, but turned upside down, ha.
Inversions ha it's great, isn't it? So and they would do this thing where, you know, hey it rained, it was talking and forgot muddy. So they would make mud slides and it would run roll around the mud. corporate Green Day playing their, I don't know why sure but So it seems like we entered this. Age of Destruction and I listen to destruction. And maybe enter the sort of weird Loop. Where things self-referential, everything, sort of like in stasis.
But a speeding up now, we're we've re-entered history. This is what living in history feels like, boys and girls. And that age of Niles, and destruction is taken up. And now we're into full blown Anarchy. Anarcho tyranny. or the Anarchy of The troons taking up arms, or all these different subjects of people. Eventual, son. They told you I'm not smart enough to pick up this all about myself.
The nihilism of our time exists in all father serving wrote and those who do not with the aid of God. Choose to combat it in the name of fullness of being a living God or swallowed up by it already. We've been brought to the edge of the abyss of nothingness and whether we recognize its nature or not, we will through affinity for the ever-present, nothingness, within us being golfed in it beyond all, hope and Redemption.
Unless we cling in full and certain Faith, which doubting does not doubt in Christ without whom we are truly nothing. Is later than you think. Hey there for to the work of God. He'll says, apparently loved the toilets overflowed or something that mud everyone was rolling around. Was literally was literally fun. Not demonic at all though, right? Hey, oh just happens. Dance coincidence. Bring up the tail. The Prodigal Son. It brought low to point where he's gonna eat the food of the
pigs. But even then, in that story, you don't hear about him rolling around the mud. Bill Hicks. Thank you very much. We'll see you again soon. My friend. Always appreciate you. We'll just finish here. Fast. I'll introverted interpretations of the crisis and the choice before us abound to take either side of these illusionary interpretations is damnation. The true crisis is now, as it has ever been within us, is our own acceptance or negation of Christ.
Christ is our crisis, he demands from us, all or nothing, and this problem he presents his is the only one that needed to be answered. Do he chose God? Who is who alone is, or are cells nothingness? The abyss hell, our age is founded on nothingness, but then this nothingness in explicitly said to us, It explicitly to us presents for those who can still perceive the crisis of all men in all ages, most clearly an unmistakably, our age tells.
If we can listen to Living God Under these quotes. They say. Glory to God glory to the father son of the Holy Spirit. Lovers of Truth. Why do men learn through pain and suffering and not through pleasure and happiness, very simply because pleasure and happiness a custom one to satisfaction with the things giving in this world, whereas pain and suffering drive one to seek a more profound happiness beyond the limitations of the world.
