This is the Mini Marvel Series Podcast. Hello everybody, I'm Josiah Rodriguez, once again joined with... josiah simmons and this is a great podcast debate explained okay so uh josiah you wanna explain something first before we start off this episode about loki yes so sadly Huli won't be being on the episode as almost like almost every episode. She'll be on some, but due to busyness and summer and school.
We've all really been busy. Yeah. So, like, that's why we haven't really recorded a lot lately because we've been very busy. In the summertime, I'm very busy, and so is Asiya. Yeah. So, yeah, you know what we mean? Like, she won't be in as much anymore. So, yeah, she still will be here with us. She'll be with us in spirit. No, I'm joking. She'll be on just not as much anymore, which is fine. Yeah, she might even come on next week.
Yeah, maybe. Just, you know, we all have very busy schedules, and me and Josiah, we live in totally different, two different time zones. I'm not telling you guys where we live, but we live in two different time zones. because someone's decided to move. So, yeah, it's been very difficult for us to plan and stuff, so that's why we haven't really recorded a lot lately. Anyway, let's get started.
So, basically, today, I already told you guys we're talking about Loki. Okay, so what's your first question, Josiah? What do you want to start us off with? My first question? is about what do you think about Sylvie, the girl of Loki, and Loki being together or whatever. I don't even know. Like, they ended it weird, like they're going to make a second season or at least a movie. They are going to make a second season, actually.
It's just weird because he's a very big narcissist, especially since he's with himself. Like, as in that's his variant.
a woman version of himself like how full of yourself can you get to where you like yourself it's just weird to me yeah i think it is weird but i mean they're kind of their personalities are kind of different in certain ways they're still the same person though yeah um also what did you think like when they got put into that end of time i guess it was called the void and how there was i think they like i don't think they needed to make an alligator loki
Yeah, that was kind of weird, but those Lokis were in the comic books. So, like, different times in the comic books. So, that's why they added those Lokis. Even if, like, many of them were very cheesy. Yeah, most of them... Like, there was one of the Lokis that looked literally, like, I think he was dressed up like the same as the original Loki that we know.
In the void, I was like, wait, which one's which? Because most of them looked really alike. Yeah, they did. But there was some that just didn't look anything alike. Like the ones that we were introduced to at first? Yeah, like the guy in the Stone Age. Yeah, it was weird. Him, he looked nothing like him. Oh, it's because, you know the dad bod Loki?
i'm just gonna say the dead bod loki he was what loki used to look like in the comics like in the beginning you know uh comic books kind of sucked back in the early days yeah uh that's basically what loki used to look like and so they bring that back as a variant and i just think it's kind of funny um but yeah you me um for me
Um, what's his name? I think, I forgot what his name was, but he was the one who was helping Loki out. The one who said he wanted to always ride a jet ski. Oh, Mobius, which is that one actor guy. Yeah, he was one of my favorite characters. He's pretty funny. I don't know. Also, what I also liked about the series, though, was like...
I don't know. It's like it was I thought it was really good about you. I thought it was really good, but it just wasn't my favorite. Honestly, it was good, but it also got boring at the same time. At least for me. Yeah, it got boring in some episodes. It started to pick up again at the end. But, like, if they wanted to make it a miniseries, like, that's what they tried to do, but I guess they didn't have enough.
time tied and all the details and stuff so now they ended the sixth they ended the series only of six episodes well they're gonna make a second season yeah but I don't know why, because I didn't really like it too much. I mean, I thought it was all right, but they could have done better. Yeah, and them saying, the guy at the timekeeper saying, if they kill him, a bunch of variants of him is going to come and try to take over.
Yeah, and then the guy at the end, remember the guy that Sylvie stabbed at the end? That was King the Conqueror from the comic books, but of course that made him look like a human and not like the comical version, which I didn't like that because they, um...
You know, they always do that in the movies. They always make the person look like a human or something like that where they don't look comic book-ish. I don't know why they do that. I guess it wouldn't have looked good if he was, but I don't know. It's just weird to me.
uh yeah what about what do you think of that twist in the middle of the um series about there being a girl loki i was that was really unexpected for me i haven't seen any of the loki comic books so i'm not sure if she's in them but yeah so um i knew that there was a woman looking in the um uh comic books so i knew they were probably gonna do that because i mean they have to you know um i just didn't know when it would come but yeah yeah i guess so but like i don't know
I think, well, I guess it would have made a good fit for them making their girl Loki because, like they were saying, when they said it was the variant, it was a Loki, like him. and they're looking through all the boy loki's and there was like a whole bunch of them i knew they were probably gonna make like a twist like that in the series yeah but anyway Or would you have something to say? No, I'm good. But another thing I also... Then what was kind of weird was...
What happened to, like, the other timekeepers? Because they said he's the only one who shall remain, but isn't there, like, four of them? Um, so the timekeepers, weren't those the, um... the fake uh thing remember they found out there were robots yeah but there's only one left he who remained but like what happened to the other one didn't say if they got killed or i don't
Well, I don't know, because... I don't know, that whole thing was confusing, but honestly, there was three of them, and you know... Okay, so you know how there was three of them? Yeah. I, um... think they're trying to copy off of the living tribunal in the comic books because the living tribunal has three heads and um he's the center of the universe you know he controls all the universes and um he's like
the biggest the baddest thing out there and so um but i thought the timekeepers were the one who does that but well no that's the mcu there i feel like they're trying to copy that because there's three of them And the Living Shribino has three heads. But then they also look like King the Conqueror from the comic books. So, you know, they put King the Conqueror in there, but he was...
He wasn't King the Conqueror. They didn't actually say that. He was that guy that was there that looked like a human. But so King the Conqueror kind of looked like those timekeeper, you know, those three timekeepers. Remember those three timekeepers? Yeah. That's what he really looked like in a comic book. He kind of looked like those things. And so that's kind of them referencing it. But yeah, I don't know. It's weird.
yeah another thing that was also weird like i think this whole loki series was kind of weird but like at the end when sylvie killed him killed the timekeeper and then sent the loki to the tva again and they all forgot who he was like mobius forgot and then that other person that was with monkeys i was like wait how did they forget which they didn't forget who he was i was a different universe
Oh. So he, whenever he went, uh, so remember whenever Sylvie, uh, went and killed the, uh, King Conqueror, whatever his name is. Yeah, I don't know. Anyway, um. She must have sent him to a different universe and didn't realize it. So they have no idea who he is. And that must really suck. That's all I got to say. Yeah, but at the end it showed the timekeeper's face and it showed it was that guy. Yeah. That was the original timekeeper. But now Sylvie...
There is no timekeeper anymore, so now it's going to go into a war. Yeah, and I thought you were talking about the three heads from the timekeeper. Weren't those supposed to be the timekeepers, and then they realized that they're fake? yeah as in that um c20 i think her name was um yeah the chief she escaped but it didn't say where she went she just
We're trying to plan answers. Yeah, well, I think it's because they're leaving it off to another season. And, yeah, I don't know. It's kind of weird. Yeah, but there's one, like, six. it my was just wanting to make six episodes a season so that's why they're all like an hour long yeah i don't know but um I didn't really like the show that much. It was alright, but I hope the second one is better. Yeah. The second season. What do you think?
yeah i hope it's better too because i was a little disappointed with some of the stuff it was like really boring kind of like how like They've been starting it off. All these mini Marvel series have been starting off, huh? Like a little weird, like... Yes. I don't know, but it's a weird show. and um anyway i guess that wraps it up um yeah we're probably going to be doing what if next season our uh episode yeah um so yeah because that should just came out
And it's a really great show so far, but I'm not going to ruin it because I'll save it for another episode. So, yeah. Anything you got to say? Do you have a joke or? Okay, I have one. I don't understand it. Okay, two antennas met on a roof, fell in love, and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent. You get that joke? No, I don't. I don't get it. Because I found that one, but I don't get it. No, I don't. And I hope it's not inappropriate. Because whenever you don't understand a joke and you realize it's inappropriate later on. Yeah, like what Holi? She doesn't say a Marvel joke. And no, I don't have a joke. But maybe next time. Okay.
