Independent Fashion Industry Summit

Members of the fashion industry will come together for the New York Fashion Week Season to explore possibilities, share expertise, and engage one another to create a powerful infrastructure of multicultural independent shows in the 21st century. 

This week I take a look at how fashion creativity and self-expression intersect with mental health therapeutically and psychologically. The link between fashion, self-expression and self-care is often overlooked so my goal in hosting this symposium is to facilitate a fresh perspective on these surreptitious ties so that Mind over Melanin followers as well as HFW attendees can begin to bridge the gap between fashion and mental health in their personal everyday runways.
