Autism Awareness with Nilam Patel

Autism now affects 1 in 54 children, with the rate of autism steadily growing over the last twenty years. It is the fastest growing developmental disorder, yet also the most underfunded. Autism is not a hopeless condition, but early intervention is key.

Admittedly Evonne and I do not know much about this condition, but believe 100% there should be more awareness. We are so lucky to have Nilam Patel, M.A., BCBA, and COO at Milestones for Autism, on the podcast today to educate us on Autism detection, treatment, and highlighting the need for more Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the field.
