Sandy Aslett is the award winning milliner behind the brand Hats by Sandy A.  She is based in home studio on Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.  Her love of hats started as a young girl wearing a boater style hat to Sunday school and came into full swing after attending at course with Louise Macdonald in Melbourne.  She won the 2018 HATalk Hat Making Competition with the piece “Cosmic Concertina”.  This was a piece Sandy developed through slicing and folding a waxed paper.   Passionate about millinery training Sandy hosted classes in her studio to the students from across Queensland and beyond.
