Hey fam, before we get back to the show, I have some major news to tell you. For over a year, I've been building a brand new app called Button Plus, spelled B-T-T-N. So if you love our shows like Miles the Brave, Pixel Quest, or Critter Protectors, Parents, you're going to need to download our Button Plus app to get unlimited access to all of our story button and Mr. Jim shows completely ad-free.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. It's truly amazing to have you a part of our family. From all of us here at Story Button, we really couldn't continue to do this without you. So it would be really helpful to us if you went to the app store and searched for button spelled BTTN, gave it a download and a five star review. That would be awesome. Thank you. And now back to the show.
It looked like this was it. Everything had been leading up to this moment. Us versus Globotech. And there were no telling how many agents were coming after us, and what kind of machines and other technology they'd brought with them. But... It wasn't quite how I'd pictured. I was thinking it'd be me, Petra, and Pax fighting to save the day. But instead, Pax was still mostly unconscious. Petra had been kidnapped by Agent 11, and my mom and dad were there with me.
That wasn't important, though. All that mattered was stopping Globotech. They'd done enough damage to the Lost World, and whatever it took, I was going to make sure they could never go back there. I thought I was ready. I thought all those surprises were done. Wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. Run, Dad! We gotta get inside the temple before Globotech gets here.
Goodness, you're both okay. What's going on over there? Globotech's here. I'm guessing Agent Eleven went and got all of his friends, which means we're in serious trouble. Is Pax awake yet? No, not yet. I think he's feeling better, though. He should wake up any minute, I expect. What? Uh, is he talking to me? Since when does he care if things get messy?
How many people do you think he brought with him? Hang on a sec. I don't believe it. There's not that many agents out there. There should be dozens of them. You can't fool us. We know there's only a few agents with you. There are no...
When you said there weren't that many... Yeah, I meant not as many as there could be. Nine is a whole lot better than 50. Oh, whoops. I wonder where the rest are, though. The Forbidden Jungle's a dangerous place. They must have lost a lot of agents on the way here. Oh, my gosh. He's got Petra with him.
and now I really don't know what to do. I couldn't just sit there and wait for all those agents to come after us. But there was also no way I was going to let Agent 11 hurt Petra. I had five minutes to try and come up with a good idea. And, well, I definitely came up with... An idea. I'm still not sure if it was a good one. Here's what happened. Oh my gosh, I can't let him hurt Petra. I've got to help her. Hang on a second, buddy. We need a plan.
Your father's right, Miles. We need some way of distracting Agent Eleven and his friends while someone tries to free Petra. Four minutes. Miles, you saw the agents out there, right? What else did they bring with them? Uh, just a bunch of trucks. There are like four or five of them parked on the far side of the clearing. Hmm. I wonder if we could do something to the trucks to get their attention. Oh. Well, I can think of something. Oh, boy!
I know that look. Okay, let's hear it. I don't think we have time for me to explain. I need to sneak out the backside of this temple and then run all the way around without them seeing me. I'll have to stay in the trees. What do you want us to do? Stall for as long as you can. When Agent Eleven says the time's up, you tell him you're surrendering and walk out. I don't understand. What will you be doing? I thought you had a distraction in mind. I definitely do. And you'll know when you see it.
As soon as they're distracted, you and Mom rush in and get Petra out of there, and then get back inside the temple. Then we'll figure out what to do next. Three minutes! Okay, Miles. I trust you. Now go! Back in a flash. What a brave kid. I'll tell you, running through the jungle while trying to be quiet because there are a bunch of Globotech agents nearby made me feel like some kind of super spy.
It would have been awesome if I wasn't so worried about Petra. That, plus, I wasn't exactly sure my idea was going to work. But honestly, I didn't care anymore. Petra and I had been through way too much to let someone like Agent Eleven come in and ruin everything. So I ran as fast as I could, just hoping I could get in position before the five minutes were up. Otherwise, Petra would be in a whole lot of trouble. Should be just about there Okay, yellow glow grape we meet again
Okay, okay, we're coming out. Don't hurt the girl. Finally, you all do something smart. Get out here or I can see you. Blue 51, blue 51, set, hut! What the? What is that? Pause, the kid just knocked over all of her trucks over. The what? How? Roger, that's the distract... Let's go get the girl. Miles, you little frat. I know you're out there. When I get my hands on you... Petra! Come on, quick! While he's not paying attention.
Where are we going? Back up to the temple. Come on. I've got to see Pax. I've got to make sure he's okay. Boss, the girl. She's getting away. That's it. Every single one of you is going to regret this. Actually, Agent Eleven, I think it's you who's about to be sorry. Blackwood? Drake? That's right. Everyone give me and Agent Eleven some room. We've got a score to settle. You... how did you get out of that quicksand? Oh, I think you should be focused on the here and now. Recognize this?
My pulse rifle where you dropped it after you left me in the quicksand and I've made a few Modifications to it now look Drake. It was nothing personal Miss Shade ordered me to... Save your breath. I know she's up to no good down here. And you're the same as her, Agent Eleven. And I'm not sure the rest of the agents in Globotech realise just how bad the two of you are. I don't think they would have followed you all the way through that jungle if they knew.
He's lying. Don't listen to him. Is that right? Well, after I've used your own pulse rifle on you, I'll have a chat with the rest of the agents and see what they think. You won't even get the chance, Blackwood. Drake, look out! He's got a sonic disruptor! You little... Oh, no you don't! What... What did you... What did you do to me? Like I said, I made some changes to your rifle. See how your hands and feet are caught together in webs of energy? You're not getting free unless I let you out.
Drake, you can't do this! Hey, Miles, you still got some strength from that yellow grape? Uh, yeah? Do us a favor and tip one of those trucks back over. All the rest of you, listen up. I've got no quarrel with you. Get back in the truck and head back to HQ. I'll radio in later and explain everything. Now, what to do with you? You have no idea what you're doing, Drake. You don't even know what this temple is for. What it can do. I have the key that turns everything on.
Just let me loose and I'll show you! So, you have the key, not the boy. Interesting. Oh! Noctis, I was, uh... You failed, human. You said you would remove the rest of your kind from the Lost World, and in return, I would allow you to take whatever treasure you wished. Well, see, our deal is at an end. Nightwolves, remove this weakling. Take him back to our lair. You may do with him what you wish, but make sure you keep the key. We do not want it falling into the wrong hands.
No! No, wait! Drake! Drake! You can't let them do this! Help! Miles, listen up, kid. Something tells me we gotta have that key if we're gonna stop Noctus. I'll go after Agent Eleven and get it back. Do whatever you can to stall Noctus. You got it? I'll be back as soon as I can, with the key. Coward. But I suppose if you were smart, all of you would run. The jungle can have you for all I care. I'm here for packs.
And as I understand it, he's still lying up there inside the temple. Too wounded to even move. Pity. I suppose I should go put him out of his misery. No, you can't. Leave him alone. Be quiet, boy. None of you can stop me. I know someone who can. Oh, is that so? And who would that be? you
