Good morning, good evening, good afternoon, whenever the case may be. This is Mike and this is day two of Nap Pod Pomo 2023. Uh, officially episode 3 89. And let's see, we're gonna make this like a captain's log start eight November 2nd, 2023. Anyway, so I'm still recovering from shoulder surgery. Uh, just about a week ago I had, uh, rotor cuff repair and still in the sling. I'll be in the sling for the next five weeks at least.
Uh, it's getting better. I don't, uh, you know, the pain is, is pretty much gone unless I move wrong. And so that's been going pretty good. Uh, got off all the good drugs and, uh, now just, uh, just on some Tylenol and ibuprofen, that kind of stuff. Uh, it's a little challenging to work on the computer. Uh, I can't really use the keyboard that much. Uh, I can put the desk down, you know, pretty low. I've got one of those lift desks and I can do it for short bursts.
But, uh, and most of the time I'm, uh, doing talk typing and, uh, I've got a track pad, a magic track pad on my left side, my right shoulder, and it's working. I'm able to talk on the phone, obviously, and all that, but, uh, yeah, it's been going pretty good. Woke up this morning to the first, uh, snow on the ground and it's, yeah, it's, it's snow . I guess it's that time of year. Uh, the other night, uh, on, uh, Halloween, they, you know, they were out trick or treating and it was light snow.
But this is the first time I've got up and seen snow covering the, the vehicles in the driveway and the roof on the garage and whatnot. Not much on the ground itself, but on stuff around it. It's, it's definitely, uh, it's definitely winter, but it's up 34, so it won't last long. It's supposed to be in the fifties later, uh, this week. So, you know, we'll get back to, uh, no snow visible, which is,
it's fine. Like I said, it's this time of year and, uh, this year I'm, I'm gonna get out of blowing snow with a repaired shoulder probably about six months before I can get back to 100%. Uh, hopefully get back to 100%. Um, but, you know, the first six weeks in the sling and then. After that physical therapy and, and range of motion exercises and all kinds of stuff.
And hopefully while I'm doing my right shoulder rehab, I can do some physical therapy on the left shoulder so I don't have to get that one done. Although the left shoulder wouldn't be as big a a deal as the right, 'cause I am right-handed. So, yeah, I'm gonna go into some other stuff, uh, you know, later this month as we go. Uh, I wanna go through the history of podcasting in my world, . So my history of podcasting, it's been a while since I've gone over that. And, uh,
of course the story might have changed. No, not really , but those of you that have stuck with me through the years, I certainly appreciate it. And like I said, we'll keep these, uh, these episodes somewhat short, although I do have a few regular episodes that I'm gonna throw in there as well,
that I've been working on. And, uh, like I said, I'm gonna try to maybe get Jim, uh, to, to do a what's up with that with me, and, and revisit some of the old, uh, old stuff that, that, uh, we've done over the years on this particular little humble feed from Northern Michigan. Anyway, everybody, have a great day. We'll see you tomorrow.
