Episode description

In today's episode, the hosts of MAG (sans Crian) go over some of their favorite classic Nintendo franchises, which just so happen to be...

Mario Party (Phil)

Do you like board games? Do you like mini-games? Well we've got you covered with this franchise dating back to the age of the N64. Whether you enjoy dice rolls, button mashing, co-op, or head to head competition, this game is going to satisfy your every need and more.

There ain't no party like a Mario Party.

The Legend of Zelda (Antoine)

Going back all the way to 1986, The Legend of Zelda helped set many of the standards now standard in gaming. From running between an overworld and dungeon delving in the original, to enemy lock-ons in Ocarina of Time, to the massive physics sandbox that is Breath of the Wild, this old geezer isn't slowing down any time soon.

Metroid (Adam)

Another entry from '86 (albiet a few months later), Metroid is no slouch when it comes to trend setting either. Heck, it has an entire genre named after it. How could you possibly beat that? By making more. Although Metroid hasn't received quite as much love as other flagship franchises when it comes to sequels, it's still a fan favorite. With a new game on the horizon, will it once again raise the bar? We'll have to wait and see.
