The following. Here's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club Cowboys. This is nick Shot screaming live on Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the official Dallas Cowboys at now. Here are Bill Jones, Everson Walls, and Nicky Spagnola. And here it is a Wonderful Wednesday inside the SWBC podcast studio at the Star in Frisco. Bill Jones, Everson Walls, and Mickey Spagnola. Cowboys on the practice field on a very windy, windy day. It's not
a wonderful Wednesday. It's a windy Wednesday. Here sounds like the title to the showy Wednesday. There you gooy, he's always looking at how do you title it when you send it out on social media? And there you go. All right, so windy Wednesday. And so I can understand why the team was not outside on the practice. They were inside because we had to fix this passing game. But we're not going to be able to do it
in the wind. And it was and it was basically a walkthrough practice, was it, Yes, no pads, no helmets because of the passing game. No whoa no wonder the game work out? What do you think what do you think Jimmy would have said December, no pads on Wednesday? Oh quit if you quit tired right before. Now they just did it for health reasons, I mean not health reasons, but not to wear the guys out, try to keep them. You can't say health reasons. Yes, I know everybody else's
and now it's going yeah, and it's even expanding. But we're good here, Yeah, we're good here. Which fox out of Cedric Wilson, Cedric Wilson's so far the only one where we just playing. That's after playing the team that half of them are you in cod So just goes to show you can't catch it out on the field from the other team, I guess. Or maybe they maybe Washington caught it from Dallas and then whatever you go.
Or Washington wasn't close enough to the cow that was Remember that was last year the Minnesota game, wasn't it Like uh oh the receiver for Minnesota's now Adam Feeling. Yeah he got he tested positive like the day after the game. And yeah, and and so that was the thing. Browns didn't have to worry about it. Yeah, he's didn't socially distance Yeah right, but look at him now, huh look at Anthony Brown nets right, all right, Now he's missing in a session. It's all week to week with you.
Now he's missing in after they picked on him, the officials picked on him Thanksgiving Day, and now he hasn't proved. There's no doubt about it. He's a better player at this time last year, Willie, this time this year than he's ever been in his entire career. More confident, he is more confident, he's looking for the ball, you know, hands. All of that he can get on the hands team later. And then Traymon proved that in the game on Sunday that as long as you turn your head around, you
can be as close as you want to. I mean it was like it was like one on one. You know, Okay, here's how you do it. Brown, He said, watch me, okay, I'm turning. I mean, that's just what it seemed like to me. I wonder if it's just it's just hard to know when to turn when the ball's five yards short of where it's supposed to be. Now here's the thing. When you out there, it's you're you're too afraid to
turn around. It's it's like you know, uh, Solomon, go mora, you know you want to see it, but it's over burning him. Sulfur? Did that ever? Didn't ever go through your head nose? It's like, well, if I turn and I missed the ball, then it's a touchdown. That's where the field comes in. And so if I give up the reception I can tackle. I'd rather flail and and and you know, go forward looking for the worst case scenario,
which is where the touchdown is. Yeah, but sometimes if you don't turn around, he's gonna still make you look foolish. You could and your options are a PI or a touchdown. You see, we have a technical different just this thing in anyway, I lost my head. Okay, you can hear us, can I can hear you in the studio here? Okay, you talk, tell us, tell us what we need to know. I'll try to figure this thing out. Chris is coming to hear the minute. He's gonna save us all. What's happening?
You just continue on, continue on. We were burning sofone it doesn't fit there there it goes all right now as we continue on, what's happened? Um, yeah, I wish I had a real, a real injury. Reports. Since they didn't do much. We need something by Tony Pollard was at least out there and he was working on the chords. Okay, we get this thing back on track, yes, Zeke said, he that's good news about Tony Pollard really is. Yeah, I mean when you got a torn planter fascia. But
he was working on the chords last week too. And the way I running game is going, we gotta have it. We need forget the passing game. What about the running game? Well, I don't know. The coach said it got better Kellen mort did it? I thought it did. It did Yeah, I mean they had more yards. It just wasn't a nice ride and all wasn't effective enough to me. If you can, if you can just give them doubt it's effective.
But you have to answer that ineffective running with effective passing, right if he completes the passes, if the blocks are made better, and not get it. The reason that they're so much closer defensively, the reason that we're getting the pressure is because there's no threat of run. Yes, I understand that, but you still have to keep them honest.
And if we make those plays regardless of the pressure, and we stick to the game plan, then the running game would be thought of in a much better lights. And I think it's pretty obvious what teams are doing. And Ceedee Lamb kind of pointed it out how teams are playing that shell coverage and basically making us execute underneath and they don't want to give up the big play. So, and I think we said it yesterday. They teams want to see if the Cowboys can go eighty yards in
twelve plays. They don't want them go in eighty yards. And we can see that we can do it. You just got to execute you that we can do it right. And and like you said, they're not bringing down the safety because we haven't shown that, and that's what they're inviting you to do. It's like, hey, if you can do this, and the reason is the offensive line has to play better. Uh and now Tyrn Smith's gonna miss
this game. I think things look like Mike said, well, we'll do what we've been doing, which means it's either steal or tying the secky Um, I get the feeling it's it's steal. Right. There's no way they're gonna move somebody. Everybody, they're gonna put leal Collins on the left side and Steal on the right, and it's like, no, what do you want to do that? Then you're weakening both spots.
So just left him there and there, and then Steven pointed out that there would be a conversation about left guard. Uh and uh, just judging from the part of practice we get to see when they do drills, we don't get to see team. Uh, it looks like they're having that conversation, and in my opinion, Connor Williams needs to be back at left left guard. I don't know that they're gonna listen to me, but I think that's what needs to happen. I have not seen improvement of guard
with McGovern. The only thing they cut down on were penalties. And so maybe now how many games? That's what I was just getting ready to say, That's what I was just getting. That's what you do. You don't put Williams on the back of his jersey, you put Connor and then they don't know which Connor's in. What's it been? Has it been four games? Because it was Kansas City the Raiders New Orleans in Washington, so four games. So maybe now this crew comes in and it's like they
don't know that everybody was everything he did. They were gonna throw a flag for holding, you know, and maybe he will have learned that. Make your initial block and then you don't have to pancake the guy, right, don't drive them comes in. You know, you got the you have the initial big hit right, and then from there you have to think and just let him go. It's over, and that once you have to you have to have the patience in your head. You don't have that clock
in your head. You know that the quarterback hopefully has gotten rid of the ball at that time, and then you have to play according and even in the running game, once you stun him, that guy's out. He's done. Back's gone right now, he's gone. He's gone. Because it happened to Tyron Smith in this last game when they called him for holding. If you go watch it, he had the guy blocked and then when the guy goes to run in turns and then he kept trying to keep
blocking him. He just let get your hands off and move your feet, right, we do that as dbs and lineman. You have to remember your hands and feet work together. Okay, there there they work together there in unison right, and when you when you're not thinking, okay, hands no feet or either feet no hands. The problem for Tyron is
one of his one of his feet on. You know what I mean if you think about it, if you've ever done like um, mountain biking, and you learn this when you're a little kid, when you're trying to do something difficult, turn or whatever, you gotta keep pedaling. You don't quit pedal, right, because if you pedal then you could you you power yourself through the turn. But once
you quit, you're in your trouble. Work your footworking. Almost pretty much every sport you learn when kids are young, we put them on on soccer teams because that's good for your footwork. So now all of a sudden you go from soccer to baseball. Well, yeah, your footwork has to be great. Yeah, the hands, of course, but to get to the ball in the proper manner and be able to pick it up set your feet to the quicker you do those things, the better athletes you are.
All of that comes from footwork. The only drawback of that soccer thing is if you choose to participate. Well, I've seen so many young I'm just kind of run up and down Hill one of the more one of the better athletes I've seen as a young man. When he started off as a kid, I remember seeing Tony Hill at the soccer matches and his son would be at midfield picking flowers. And he turned out being one of the better athletes that you wanted to see. I believe he went to Plano. They end up going to
the state finals in basketball, semifinals. In basketball, he was the point guard. You know, he was just that kid, right, he started off sitting down at the fifty yard line while the rest of the team is trying to score. He's picking daisies. And he wasn't alone. I've seen that. That's why the one time I had to conduct a it was youth soccer practice. Right, it was girls, and I don't know they were imagine fifth grade or so
fourth grade. The thing I noticed was they didn't they didn't under they didn't understand the necessity to go run after the ball and be the first one to get there, right. I did you know what I did? I saw this
in a high school. It was a Bobby Knight was conducting a seminar at a high school basketball coaches convention and he called two guys from the crowd up onto the stage and he had one over there and one over there, put a twenty dollars bill in the middle, and he just shouted out, first one to get it, it's yours. And you've seen these two guys just scramble right, and he goes. The bottom line is there's got to be a consequence to every drill you do as a coach.
There's got to be a goal and there's got to be a consequence. So I said, okay, I don't know nothing about soccer, but I do know you got to go get the ball. And so I put him in two lines and I said, all right, I'm gonna roll the ball down the middle. The first one in each line go first one that gets there, that team gets
a point. The team that has give him money. They didn't have to run laughs afterwards, and you all of a sudden you saw these girls tear and ass to get to the ball, right because they didn't want to run laps. And so so what you do with Connor Williams is in you find him. If he gets holding calls right that way, he'll we will stop. Yeah, have an incentive there at the end. The incentive is not to lose your starting job, right there you go. So and he has a free agent to be so there's
your financial incentive at the end of the sea. Yeah, absolutely so. Uh and so from an injury standpoint, you know, I don't know what they're gonna put on the in because it wasn't a practice they're going to project, but Mike said that they would probably project Zeke as full. He was out there. Um, Donovan Wilson was out there too, so I don't know if he's getting closer right. I think it was a was it a chest I'm trying to remember growing chest one of the two because he
hits hard. Yeah, I'm sure he went in and so they would like to get him back out there for sure. Um, but everybody else that you know, we kind of took a look at they were. Um, they were out there. I don't see that I have anybody else that was missing. Well, why you look for that? Everyone's been speculating on Dak McEwan was out there, So that was end the tight end and he was actually doing some special team stuff. So uh that was encouraging. Uh So no tiring, No,
no Cedric Wilson. Uh. And I told you about the other guys, So yeah, we'll see where all that goes. Dak Wilson was a shoulder shoulder, shoulder, thanks, So yeah, they could use him back out there. All right, everybody's talking about Dak. What's Dak talking about deck? Dak was fine. I see you know what, you got no problem throwing against air. There's no there's no injury, right Like he can't throw on the run. He was you know, they practiced that where they roll out and throw on the run.
He had no problem with that. He had no problem with thirty yard passes. He was throwing. The ball wasn't hitting the ground, So yeah, so maybe keep the pocket clean. What was his words? Did he speak on it? Tomorrow? Tomorrow? Thursday is DA day? Zeke was today? Which m Parsons talked today to Parsons was really good, by the way, You want to report on that when we come back here,
because that's a lot of stuff. Okay, Yeah, And I've got a little something on Michael Parsons as it relates to what this day is around the country right now, National Signing Day. Well, I know at this point in every show we expect Mickey Spagnola to have a flawless read of a script that's in front of him, and we're going to announce at this time that you're going to have to wait until the next where you will get two for the price of one. Two scripts back too, mostly at this time. All right, So that's something to look forward to in the next segment of mix shots. In this segment, you
want to talk Zeke, you want to talk mica. Uh, let's talk Micah. First man day. What do you think? And my little note on Michael Parsons start with this, Everson, you remember your National Signing Day when you signed out of Bertner High School and Richardson Graham. I believe that did not happen. I don't think there was no signing, no signing. I barely got a scholarship to Grambling. I have to follow my girlfriend to school. Did she get a scholarship? Huh? Did she get a scholarship to Grambling?
In a way? Uncle coach, he coach, he coached on the staff. So okay, we believe that. Yet there you go. All right. So Micah Parsons was in the class of twenty eighteen out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Right. And if you recall his recruitment, Ohio State was on him at first, and then they had to bow out because there were there were some things going on that smacked of violations, and so they had out out of his recruiting at Ohio State. Yeat Ohio State. So he winds up going
to Penn State. He was the number four ranked player according to I believe it was ESPN, the number four ranked player in the nation, number two ranked defensive end coming out. The thing that I found interesting looking at his recruiting page, they listed him guess what his forty time was coming out of high school? What they said his forty time was forty three Nope, four two something,
four six six, four six six. He was listed at sixty three, two hundred and forty one pounds, which and you can see why he was listed as a defensive end coming out and at four six six forty time is what they listed him at. And what do he run at the combine? Four three six or something? He did a four three six and a four three nine, right, all right, three six, yeah, And so the number one ranked defensive end coming out of that draft was he is at Clemson now and I'm looking for his name,
and he's still at Clemson. He has just finished up at Clemson, and where is he? Where'd he go on this? Okay? Three and a half sacks this year at Clemson. Okay, but he'll be We'll know all about him when he is maybe or Thomas is his name. And he started nine games for Clemson this year. He was the number one ranked defensive end coming out in the nation, in the nation, not Pennsylvania, No, in the nation and goes to Clemson and Parsons was the number two ranked defensive end.
So Parsons is here working on twelve sacks season in the NFL. Not not to dig on this guy, a class only and only. It just shows you how rare the talent that Michael Parsons is and only had two years at Penn State thanks to the Big twelve Big I mean, this is twenty twenty one, the twenty twenty two recruiting class now for high school. I mean, it's just so it's amazing how quickly they go from high
school to the NFL. So he only he only played two years at Penn State and only started one because COVID. He didn't play his last year because they the Big Ten was going to cancel the season. Remember, and when they canceled the season, he said, okay, well there's no sense me hanging out. I'll get ready for the draft. He ended up getting an agent and then like two weeks later, the Big Ten goes, oh, no, wait a minute, we're gonna play, and it's like, well, can I play?
And it's like, no, you got an agent. Could you imagine it was for Michael Parsons to not play? Yes, an entire yeares well and then now he has a hard time coming out for one play in preseason. Yeah, we think about for colleges now, even though technically they don't have agents, they do have agents now in college football because here it was just months after Parsons was drafted by the Cowboys the NIL legislation passes, and so now college players are making money and yeah, technically they
don't have agents, but there are agents brokering those deals. So, by the way, since you brought that up, your guy from South Lake, is he going to Texas? Yeah, you're going to Texas. Quinn youerswers yea quarterback who so his contract he signed at Ohio State. Does that NIL continue? I don't know if it's up front money that they get on those deals or and I'm pretty sure it's probably upfront money that you get. Reportedly it was seven figures over a million dollars. See, they're not going to
put the genie back in the bottle. This is gonna this whole thing of recruiting. You go there for one semester and you leave. Well, the whole transfer portal thing, now, yeah, there are college football coaches are recruiting. They have to recruit their own roster to make sure that their own players don't go to the transfer portal, and then they're trying. They're recruiting from the transfer portal much more so than
high school teams. One of the local teams that has a number of players that have gone on to college football at the highest level and on into the NFL Aledo High School. Their coach this year. Normally, at a normal practice h during the spring or fall, there might have as many as thirteen college coaches practice. They didn't kick him out. They don't they aren't showing up this year. The coach of Aledo said he had two college coaches on campus this year, and he had some of the
top recruits in the nation. Because the college coaches aren't recruiting the high schools now, they're recruiting the points for Portal instead. Amazing. So back to Parsons, and obviously it was going to come up this week about the comparisons with LT. They're playing the Giants, and so somebody asked him about it, and yeah, he said, yeah, I've kind i've kind of heard it. He goes, but I definitely say it's a way too early to compare me to
a Hall of Famer. He had one hundred and forty two, meaning sacks, so he knew that right, He's looked him up. He had who was as LT guy they keep talking about, he had a He said, he had one hundred and forty two. I still got one hundred and thirty to go, so I got a long way to go still. But he said, you know, I'm honored to be, you know, in compared to that elite company. But I've got a lot of work to put in. So when you look
really got a good head on the show. When when you look at LT, you look at Derek Thomas, you know, you look at a guy like that. Two guys like that, you could always find them. You always knew where they were going to be right because they're always on one side or the other. Right, they would switched side. They were just both that good. But when it comes to Parsons, you never know where he's coming from exactly he could be.
He was just as effective coming from the middle as he was lined up at defensive end, and that to me makes him stand out more than them. This is a middle linebacker that is playing like this. He is not on the line of scrimmage all the time when he makes the biggest impacts in the game. That is different. You always knew that Darry Thomas and Lawrence Taylor were gonna make their plays on the other side of the ball. They rarely made their plays on both sides of the ball.
You know what he pointed that out. You know the thing he pointed about about LT said, he looked up stuff and he goes. You know, he was the guy that set the tone for a linebacker being in edge Russia. Yes, because he was always coming off off the edge and he goes and he made that position important. I mean, we can go back further. I mean, was it Bobby Bell, Yeah, Kansas City, that dude, Let's just be real, he was I mean he was LT before LT, so I'm definitely
aging myself. But when I saw a video of him playing, and then saw a video of LT playing, now you see guys like d where you know, we talked about Darry Thomas. To me, Parsons is still more unique than even all of those people. That is crazy to say, because those guys didn't drop him. He didn't not drop him, right, never know. And this guy's running thirty yards downfield on that one player almost getting paid. He affected the interception that jay Won got two weeks ago, right, which end
up being an amazing play on jay Von's plot. But just even get to that point he's down the field, I believe it was uh, it wasn't Kamar, but it was with the backup, the backup running and he I mean he made a play on the ball. He didn't just run down there and got in the way. He made a play on the ball. And he didn't have another one this past week. So yeah, um so yeah, he's uh uh, he understands, you know what everybody's saying, but he's still like, Okay, I've still got a lot
to learn. Uh. And and what's gonna give the Giants problems is that their offensive line other than Andre Thomas right the first round draft twice, that the guy the tackle other than him. Their offensive line, especially in the middle, I've been told is kind of shaking Andrew Andrew, I'm sorry. Uh. And he's playing against his buddy, yeah, yeah, right. And so that middle, if they're soft in the middle, well where do you think they're gonna stand him up? Right?
They're gonna and and and then the other guys. They told you we didn't need anyone on the outside. I told you before this game, this past game with with d Love back, Greg, you back, we don't even need him out there now, boy, but they put him out there as a strong side linebacker as a fifth guy coming right, and and so and now you got to backup quarterback in Glennon. And if they have Frome Frome is that from from from he's from Georgia. Uh, you
know that's gonna those guys are. They're gonna be holding the ball an extra second trying to figure things out, and they ain't gonna have an extra second. So yeah, the Cowboys defensive front could feast in this game. And they need to too. Just to make sure that's thing you worry about with these games. The discipline still has to be there, right, you can feast without being uncoordinated. You see, That's what I want them to continue with the focus of doing it the right way. And then
the pressure is gonna come. Don't get two aces and and and I'll guarantee you Jason, Oh not Jason Garrett, Freddie Kitchens right, a bunch of little screens to try to slow him down. Yeah, he got sacrificed, Yes he did. You know that's right. Everybody's going bad. Everybody's going after this right on the way. It's a great advantage for him. I'm stay, he gets his money the rest of the season, gets a head start off. That's what Jimmy did for me. Jimmy, so I can go and do it right. Well, and
they're that's what they're gonna do. Smoke screen a couple of coaches on this staff. I mean dan Quinn, you think he Things turned out pretty well for dan Quinn after being let go fifty five games into the season last because I'll guarantee you the Cowboys didn't wait to January to figure out dan Quinn was the next defensive court writer. You know, they knew it by Thanksgiving. Oh okay,
we're gonna go after this guy. Yeah. Absolutely. And the same thing with the other assistants that they they brought in. You know, we all talk about dan Quinn, but Joe went bringing him in the secondary made a difference. Uh dirty the defensive line giving aid. You know, they knew who they were going to get him. And I'll guarantee you they knew that George Edwards gonna get moved up to the linebacker coach, even though they kept him as
the senior defensive assistant or whatever title he has. You know. And and somebody asked, well, what were they gonna do if dan Quinn leaves? It's like, George Edwards, don't let him leave because he's pretty good any and and and Parsons had a really neat thing because they were talking to him about how he goes out there, and he goes, now, me, me and George, he goes we get into it because he wants me to do things a certain way, and I start freelancing, and he basically says, Okay, that's fine
as long as you make the play. If you don't make it, then we're gonna have talk if if you if you go out of bounds and you make the play, nobody's gonna say anything. But if you don't make the play, Yeah, I had nothing to do with it. We're gonna have words, he said. He told me, we'll have words when you come to them. When the coach asked, well, who who was the problem, I'm pointed you. You would the one and one of the thing on Michael, And it just occurred to me. There have been two guys in my
time covering the Cowboys. When the first time I saw them, when they walked into the building, I said, this guy's gonna make it. He's gonna make it big. One of them was Michael Parsons. He walked in here the first day when he after the Cowboys drafting, he came into the TV studio and I did an interview with him. I came away from that interview was saying, that's a slam dunk draft pick. This kid, he just had a presence about him. You know who the other guy was
to Marcus Ware everyone Emmett Smith. Oh really when he walked in with that polkadon outfit. I said at Valley Riche when he got drafted, I said, anybody who's going to walk into this place where in that he's gonna make it the colonist that he's comfortable in his own skin. He always was, all right, you got a Zeke story to tell. Yes, we're gonna do that. In a moment. Here on mix shots and Mick has a couple of reads that he has for us. In just a moment,

That was good, except for it's realty, not reality reality, real realteth I didn't I combined him and see it. It It was so seamless, you didn't even even realize I didn't even notice. Yes, Um wow, this is the last weekend before Christmas coming up here. I guess I got to do some shopping. Um all right, Zeke this tuck Zeke.
This was funny. They asked him about COVID, right, all the teams want to know if they were doing anything differently here to try to keep themselves safe. And he went through this long answer about we know what we have to do to stay safe. Dada, da da, and then and and and then Kelvin Watkins asks him, um, yeah, but what about you know, if you wanted to go somewhere or do something, you know, do you think twice about it? I shouldn't do that. He goes, I don't
know what you're asking. And he goes, well, the Mavericks are playing the Lakers. Would you stay away from that? To stay out of these uh big crowd. And he's come to town, right, He goes in Bron's coming to town and he goes, well, I'm going to game. He probably didn't know. Yeah, well I'll go into the game. I don't know how to skirt this because you're gonna yeah, I'm sure he did it. That It was like somebody
because he ain't. He's got court court side seats. Right. Yeah, he's been enough trouble and been caught on camera enough. What's going on? So one more note on Tarson's Yeah, he's got nine and a half. Pon Parson says, nine and a half sacks in the last six games. Uh. And the last two guys to win defensive Player of the Year in twenty nineteen, Nick Bosa finished the season with nine and Chase Young this last year finished the season with seven and a half. So he's got twelve
but nine in six games. It's probably going to be the defensive Rookie of the year, and then we'll see what happens with Player of the Year as things go. Since alt is the only one to have done that in Night teen eighty one, I haven't studied who the other defensive Well, Miles Garrett has fifteen sacks. Now, yeah, he's he's leading into Miles from Arlington Martinton in Texas A and m there you go. There's only had in high school. At one high school game he had eight sacks.
It's funny. By the way, Vegas will not let you vote on rookie defensive Player of the Year anymore. Oh, really they pulled it off the board, off the board. So that is impact, guys, t J. When you come on, that's the impact right there. T J. Watt leads the league in sacks sixteen, okay, and then Garrett's got fifteen, Bosa San Francisco's Bosa's got fourteen. Uh Quinn Robert Quinn's got fourteen, and then Hendrickson Cincinnati and Juden New England
twelve and a half, and then Parsons. So he's actually seventh, but he's only two away from being third, and he's the obviously the leading rookie. And it's not just you know, it's not just the sack. He's right, Beware, he's all over the field and he doesn't just sack him, right, he knows where the ball. It's scary. It's scary how how he does sack him. That's why they compare to LT because he didn't just sack them. I mean, he
it was like you can see it coming. It's almost like when you're out in Africa and you see the jaguar going after the prey. That's kind of how it is. You can just see him sizing it up quickly, and you know it's inevitable, as asked Taysom Hill about it, you know, not that one that he's rolling it. He thinks he's gonna run around this guy, right and all
of a sudden zoom yeah mahomes yeah, same thing. I mean, these are these are people that usually they can get rid of that, you know, they can counter that with their own talents. It's no, it's no way you can't get away. Yeah. So the Super Bowls headed to Vegas. Yes, in nebody, super Bowl fifty eight. So February of twenty twenty four, this is super Bowl fifty six. Came out of the NFL meetings here in Dallas. So we got
so far this year yep. And next year we have Mickey, I'm trying to think who had a new stadium or did they have one already set? Super Bowl fifty seven. Man, it would be thirty years after the Cowboys went in Super Bowl twenty seven. Unbelievable. It's time, it's crazy. And the fifty seventh Super Bowl will be played at Glendale, Arizona State Farms Stadium. Oh did they get another one?
When are we going to get another one? Here? You got a bid on it so much I think I I mean, this is some reason twenty twenty seven sticking in my mind. I don't know what that's the next time they're gonna make the bid um because I think we're Vegas is the last new stadium, right'd be like seventeen years after. I know Seattle didn't have a new stadium and it's outdoors and you can't count on the weather there um, no one, no one when they built. It's that we'll probably not get. We'll never get a
Super Bowl here another one for in Seattle. Seattle, Yeah, yeah, they built that, I think before that little Yeah, but the Giants hadn't I would do a Super Bowl, Yeah they did, but they had a new stadium. Seattle's stadium is not new at all. Okay, Um, I'm just going through my rolodex of stadiums. I can't think of another brand new one. Right. There's a couple that need a
new stadium in Cincinnati and so yes at Washington. So but this was going to be a New Orleans bow and a Super Bowl fifty eight is going to be the same week of Matty Rock, and I don't think they deserve one before. We should have one New Orleans. They could have could have moved it here, right, So the New Orleans. The reason New Orleans is up on the pecking order is not because of the stadium itself, although it's not a bad stadium for what it is,
but it's not a new stadium. It's because because they did. They did because of the logistics of New Orleans and the I mean, what there is to do it should have it there every year? No, they could have it here every year or well now with built up around that. Yeah, yeah, I mean, you know, there's stuff to do. There's another hotel there, it's the DFW guys, enough room hotels, anything you want to do here, and chances are the weather will never be that bad again. Yeah, there's the ice
that killed it. But they can't judge us on that, I know. I mean, that's like I said, I remember the after that was was in Indianapolis. For the other problem, it was fifth he degrees. Because I was there, there was no no rain, no snow, so you can't effect expect the weather to be as unusual as it was back then. Was that was that was? Yeah? Well when was the last time that we had a February like that? Yeah? Oh,
it was this last year. Even worse. And you know what about the same same week, right, it was February. We were not letting our grids go down like that. Boy, I'm glad you trust them, because we certainly didn't do much to punish him. Now, the Pro Bowl this year is in Vegas. Yes, so I Pro Bowl the week this year, this year, this year, and then so February and then Vegas gets so the Cowboys won't be playing in the Pro Bowl and right, yeah, so right, that's right.
Yeah they gave I was trying to think, as anybody, are you gonna get elected? They gave twenty twenty five to New Orleans? Oh they did? Yeah, okay, And they gave twenty twenty five Super Bowl yes? Why oh because lent is later? Yes, one year, and that's because Marty Gross. Marty Grosse starts later. I don't know why I thought. I was just thinking that was probably have not announced that yet. Twenty five, twenty twenty five is the last one that been set, and I think for some reason,
I thought that's what I read a while ago. So I don't know. Are the Bears was to getting new stadium? Mick, uh, They are making overtures about going out into the suburbs bought the land. I heard, Yeah, the McCaskey family bought the land. And that was just a bad idea what they did with Soldier Field. Yeah, it's like they put they had a a satellite or like this moon thing coming land on top of an old stadium. It's just it's just weird. And it's still outdoors. And yeah they
want to indoor stadium. Yeah, they get a Super Bowl draft, right, exactly, because nobody's going to Chicago to play the Super Bowl in an outdoor stadium. Yeah. The only reason they went to Minneapolis is because they least had a new stadium and a roof on top. Right, You're just not gonna do that. They did that one in New York that one year, Yes, and they got away with it. Yeah. I was there for that. Yeah, for that Super Bowl.
Did you get invited? No? It snowed the day after, right, and the Farmers Farmers Almanac, which is the best I'm sorry guys, that weather bible. Bro. It was the day they said the Super Bowl would be great, and they said the day after it was snow and that's exactly what happened. How far in advanced did they know that when does the Farmer's arm that come out? I don't know. Yeah, aren't you familiar with the farmer? He's quoting the Bible, but he doesn't know the farmers. But they right every year.
I mean, it was way. They don't update it like the farmers. It's like when they originally wrote the Farmer's Almanac. I don't know is right from year to year. I don't know if it's got predictions what's gonna happen for a year. I don't know if they go back to eighteen hundred and saying in two thousand and twenty one the super Bowl won't be played, I don't know about that. Have you ever had a Is there a book the Farmer's Almanac that someone can get for Christmas? I don't
need it. Could be a stocking. You get a farmer to sign it, Walt Garrison. No, just get fine farmers, some of them Grison farmer, Walt Garrison is a fighting farm And on that note, y, yeah, I've concluded another day of broadcasting here on Mixed Shot. Now it will be back tomorrow when we might be back tomorrow at one thirty for another edition of Mix Shot. Go Cowboys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club
