No Victory Tuesday music either we Gotta wait till Friday or victory. Cowboys stampede into a new weekend against the Detroit Lions this week Inside the s TOWBC podcast studio, Bill Jones, Everson Walls and
Mickey Spagnola. And right off the top, let's get to something that Mickey just said that he wanted to talk about yesterday and we didn't get to, and that would be Noah Brown. Noah Brown, I don't want to forget it. I don't know why why it came up, but I, oh, I know it was. Um. They were showing the loop upstairs NFL Network on one of the TV's it's kind of in our area, and they were replaying the game and it got to the end of the half and I said, oh, I almost forgot about that. They ruled
it a touchdown the catch in the end zone. Now they changed it and it was right. It was right. It only got one foot down, but the foot that didn't get down landed on his other foot. If it had landed on the ground, it's a touchdown, right, But it came down. Uh, it was I want to say, the right foot landed on the left, that's exactly right. And then his butt hit and it was out of bounds.
And it was like that close. Those extra four points to go along with the four points on the off sides, to go along with the three points on the fourth and one, well, even if you don't count those, and it's if, I mean, it could be it could be twenty six twenty one, right if they got the extra four points, it's twenty six twenty one when you're driving. And now you know you can you know, instead of thinking, well, I gotta if you take away I gotta have two scores.
I only need one. You're not kicking that field goal. We just we just won the game here. Yeah, you got the four points there that gets the Cowboys to twenty one. Right, Yeah, we're gonna take away the four points that Dante Fowler gave him on the off side. And so now the Eagles League twenty two twenty one and instead we're gonna go ahead and challenge the first down, and so they're not getting the ball for a field goal with drive on a one yard drive, and so
that gets him down to nineteen points. And who picked twenty one nineteen? I think somebody here picked at twenty one nineteen. There it is, it was really it was. I think it was twenty three twenty. Okay, that might have been the best thing Jerry said today when they Jerry was on the radio this morning, and you sure report from when they asked him about the fourth and one, and he goes, yeah, that was a mistake, And I wasn't sure what he meant was there was the mistake
on the officials because it was not challenging it. Because either way, if you challenge this in the first half, am I correct? Yes, So you lose the time. No big deal, right, And at the same time, let's everybody calm down, right, that would have been a great opportunity for that, and so don't let them rush you. He seemed to be rushed. Then you have everything in your control because we got the ball in our hands and it's only the first half, so it's no big deal
with marching. So now we could just play some type of really revisionist music, I guess because we are history. But the thing that we know is we have got some music Christms, some updated optimistic music that we can play while we replay this game in our heads. And now we're you know, we're tied for a first And the problem was is they didn't get a replay, like we got to see it and say, oh yeah, I didn't need the call. I didn't get the replay. We
didn't get the time. I didn't get the replay. The replay I said, well I reached, when he reached and touched the thirty five yard line, I'm like, okay, now
there's a possibility the knee was down. I can't see that part of it right, And so I just assumed that the cowboys saw it on their side and their side, which they did not not where they where they It looked like the side judge, the lady side judge, had it right until she swerved because she saw the other It's like, come on, and that's where we'd have to take control of that situation. Yeah, we don't leave that in the referees hands. Yeah, I'm just saying I don't
see why that's such a difficult to make. And I bet because you slow everything down. Somebody, somebody on the sideline had to be standing on that yard line. Yeah, chances are you're standing closer to where you snapping right right, so somebody had to see it from that angle. I wonder that's why you still have to happen, you know what, They've got just challenges. They've got twenty nine the twenty
nine coaches to go to these games. Somebody needs to stand right on the first did somebody the goal line right? Because we have gotten screwed with on the goal line. They don't watch, they don't let you down there for that role. My job that needs to be you're guaranteed a spot on the charter. Well, I could see Bags up in the chair at the tennis mat, like I told you, and he's on the goal line. He's no, you get a sideline pass right there, and your job
to be you're you're like you're working the sticks. Okay. I think my pass would have to be upgraded to be on the bench area the game, know what, Oh, I'm on the outside. No, how do you get to be a part of the chain gang working the sticks. Right, that's what you need to know. You need that job.
And then I could have a flag he's got we got to have somebody in the end zone because we've got to screw it too many times on quarterback snakes in the end zone where Dak is laying his his crotch is in the end zone, but yet we didn't score. I could have a flag like that. What was the restaurant that you when you wanted more food? Raise the flag? Remember the state joints as well? You know you want
you want you turned green or a red thing over? Yeah, and then you could you want more meter you don't want me? That would be a great retirement job. That'd be almost as good as the guy that inspects the uniforms before the game. Right, that's what you need that. I could do that Hanks job. No, he let's build. Tony Hill was the worst at breaking the dress and he ended up believe that And then how did you get that job? And then Alonzo Highsmith took over? How
does that happen? Man? Who do they just go pick random guys? I don't know how I mean, I mean to pick Highsmith? Ah, that's what's alphabetical? Okay, I got it. You know, we could be a long time before you get around the walls. Let's be a good job for you. Get all the guys that were the worst. I know I was one of the worst. Yeah, but Tony Hill, they taught me. They taught me, you cut the jersey short. We don't want the jersey all down and out pants and you know you can't really reach the way you
want to. Plus it doesn't look good. You want the twel to hang down right, And then after the socks had to be so many stripes showing right, Come on, man, who cares? You know? So the referee is going about worried about all that crap many a call or I don't make a call. I worry about what how to look when I'm dressed, or be like baseball. Right, everybody wears their socks differently anywhere. Why not? Who cares? Wear them up to your knees or down to your no show.
We used to pull them all the way up to our knees. We got we wanted all that to show. I was accustomed to being checked because they're grambling. They hated for you to wear white shoes or white tape on your black shoes. That was ViBe's could tradition. Hell damage with wearing black shoes. You know, they'll come with that white stuff. We don't want to white, it's too fancy. We want to be a team. So of course we started spatting. I don't learn how to spat just from
sneaking around trying to spat in the locker room. And they would be waiting at the at the front with a black spray spraypant sprayant in the cans. Yeah, I mean, all up your socks on, coach, you know. So we well I would do. I would spat and then I would put layers on the outside. Easily be movable. Right. So when they coach, man, that's messed up, you spaying my spat, you know, look sweet on the field. So I go on the field, I just take off the
little excess tape white again. Hell damn it, Come on, coach, he's got the white shoes all hell now, So they understand that black shoes make you look slower, thank you. And I was slow enough, so I had to look. I wanted to look fleet of foot. She had Irving mac Arthur. We had to wear We wore red shoes. Were cardinals No, you look really slow, you don't jump, you don't jump very high at all, and bright red shoes. It could be just all the white guys. That could
be it too. I don't know. I'm just saying I don't think when we were in high school white shoes were a thing. Yet that's where Andy was stuck in. Yeah those days. Yeah, everything was black shoes back then. Before we leave the Philadelphia, yes encounter in the fourth and one, it occurred to me last night, how much Obviously the most famous fourth and one failure in Cowboys
history was in nineteen ninety five in Philadelphia. Load left, But I got to thinking, as much as coaches these days, they go for it on fourth, you can be at your own twenty nine yard line right in this case. On the other night, people weren't as upset with him with McCarthy going forward on fourth and one at the thirty four as they were they need a challenge or don't throw a pass or whatever. They didn't. They were
fine with going for it on fourth. Of them, Barry Switzer was so far ahead of his time going for it on fourth. He was analytics. Analytics, Yes, Berry had the analytic trial. The father not not when if you go for it and miss it, you're automatically going to lose the game. Analytics the baby, there's a different analytic in there. I guarantee you that I'm not so sure about that. You didn't check with your analytics, folks. There's not twenty five. I don't have any. By the way,
there was twenty five in the game. I brought it up last night doing the game. Did you guys watch it at all? A little bit? A little bit? I got a new rule too, but go ahead. It was it was a moment there to where like thirty three seconds left in the game. I saw you tweeted about it. That was silly. He had three timeouts left. Listen, who had the ball? Charge? Just had the ball? So this is Brandon Staley who went for it, went forward on his own sixty Yeah there you got. I mean, he
really takes a lot of chances. Okay, three three time outs, thre three seconds left and he's at midfield. Oh he needs to field goal, right, he decided to let the clock run out. They just let the clock run down. Period. They did not use well, they used the one time out. They used the one time out of the three that they had left for a hell Mary pretty much on the other side of the of the forty yard line by the time he drops back and and heaves it, which I just thought was wow, that was this was
the end of the game. Three yes, yeah, that that determined over time. That probably THENTO overtime because he chose not to use his three timeouts thirty three seconds left pretty much on there on forty five and knowing by the way his kicker was hurt and you're gonna play to maybe go overtime. Maybe that's why that's why he went for the hill Mary, because he didn't think his kids but they had a backup kicker going with that.
But yeah, he was one of four it. Hey man, look if you got a chance to kick, made him. And so here's the thing. Did you see him afterwards? He suted like the kicker they interviewed. Yeah, he sold He sounded like a kicker. So I was so bored. I told my son, why don't he stop talkers? Right? Yeah, I don't know what the hell he's saying. I don't nobody cares. But I can't imagine though every time he kicked the ball he landed on the ground, he couldn't
stay on the pain. And you know the fact that he continued to kick that really negates your decision not to use your time. I guess yeah, because you still you still kicked four field goals for you So if that was your thing, you're gonna save your last time out. They one second leapt so that they could have a hell marry right. I just thought that was such a bad use of your resources. I thought it was gonna be the um oh after he made the field goal, they were going to carry him off the field. What
was the quarterback that did it in college? Um at Marshall or sentence. So they didn't have their kicker. He had the kickers, so he went in the gate. He supposedly doing it. He had a quad, but okay, I think it was a hamstring. This time it was the quad. And then he heard after the interviewed and when they interviewed him after the game, they talked about the injury.
She never asked, so what did you hurt? Like we assumed it was a hamstring, right, But so every time he kicked the ball, he couldn't come down on that foot. He had to he fell down. So I figured they're going to carry him off the field. So he got you're talking about his left witch left witch Yeah, remember and from Marshall Marry they carry, they carry him. Yeah.
I thought they were going to carry him the kicker after after he made the left was being carried during the game during the game right to get him because he threw the long pass and had a long way to go. Oh that was that was good stuff though. That was very So I want to ask you, and I said, oh, I gotta remember this. Had you ever been called for four interferences at one game? I have not. I have not. No, I've had two in one game. Yeah. Two two is really a DB's max, right, if you
go three, that's that's like. Okay, man, how many did Anthony Brown get called for Thanksgiving? Maybe two? Okay, maybe two is your limit. And I'm thinking, I mean they were ridiculous. Yeah, I'm thinking, well, this guy's all his were legit were legit right the one he argued about it, and I think, come on, I can't grab him, No you can't. I'm thinking if he gets one more, as he just qualified like basketball, that should be a save. One that should be Anthony Brown had four defensive past
interference penalties on Thanksgiving four. That's what they went up the story right now. They weren't holds, they were hold on I am, I am with you. That should be a maximum, and then you get kicked out the game. Um there was against the Raiders Thanksgiving thirty six, thirty three loss. Uh. He was flagged four times in Thursday's game for defensive past interference. All four penalties happen on third downs. Um, so listen, what about Connor did hen Williams? Yeah?
Did he have more than four holdings in in one game? I don't think. Do you have four more? He never reads? Yeah, and that's that's a lot. That's that I mean because he he was, he was flagged a lot and he didn't even make it to four did yeah? I mean more. I think it was a rookie too, wasn't he? That was it? I don't know about rookie, but this is first time started starting. Maybe that was it? Yeah? Uh, Willie? Was it will william number twenty seven? That's all? Yeah?
I just remember the something has I think it was has. All right, I can call up the I'll look up the Connor Williams penalty tracker in the break and we'll come back with much more. In fact entry staying statistics from week six in the National Football League something in common for the winning quarterbacks over the weekend when we come back here on mix shots. Was that was that a pause for effect? I was thinking it was Tuesday. I've got a different read for Tuesday. That's only on
the second. Understand nothing Mickey does. What his read is by design dramatic effect. Um, it just happens that way, all right? Your question about holding penalty, I was asking about what was the max for Connor Williams. Did he ever have four holding penalties? All right? Way, Gabe had four pass and so I've got his twenty twenty one penalty log called up and we can go through his season.
Last year offensive holding twice against Tampa Bay, Philadelphia three offensive holding penalties, New England he had three offensive holding penalties and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty which came after the third. That's right. Minnesota just had one hold, so we're getting better. Atlanta two offensive holds in a chop block, Arizona an offensive hold, Philly an offensive hold, and in the playoff game against San Francisco he had one holding in one
false start. Mickey then asked the question, well, how's he doing this year in Miami? Well, this year in Miami against Baltimore, he had an illegal block above the waist. Against Buffalo, he had a boss start against Buffalo, he had a false start against the Jets, he had an unnecessary roughness. And against Minnesota this past weekend he was ineligibly downfield. He has zero zero, zero holes. You know why you're not playing. It's not playing for America's team.
And that's something, yep, because I saw a half dozen holes out there in Philadelphia. They didn't get called. He's also playing cent also help, Yeah, he's also playing center. Whoa did we know that? Yes, we tried it in preseason. But yeah, and so that's why he was playing guard here. So he worked on his Uh so you love that holding calls from from his cowboy his last cowboy year, I said, lee was that ten twelve. I've got the total number here, I say it was a dozen. It
was holds. He had eleven holding penalties for one hundred and ten yards and false starts. He had one one unsportslock like conduct and more than chop block. You know, when you look at the yards, it's not just the yards on holding, it's the play that was degated, right, it goes with that. So it's like, really you could look at really in real yards. Yeah, it's way more.
It's it's like it's like the hold that on that punt return when they got called through, which wasn't holding, and they were at the forty and when time was over they were at the ten seven or something like that. That was a bad one, which, by the way, in the first half on Sunday, I just saw my notes, the Cowboys didn't cross the fifty yard line until Turpin returned that punt sixty two yards. That was the first time they crossed the fifty. I love that kid. He
he had one. He's excited that first one he had it. H the one that he did get. Uh, there was just so much traffic around him. He couldn't like they better stop stop giving him room to return. There's I would not kick it to him. I would just and that was it was a kickoff return, not a part return. Sixty two. Yeah. The first kickoff, it's short, he's gone. Yeah. He slips on the grass, right, and he started pounding his feet like he was giving a tantrum, right, Uh,
laying on his back. Uh. And then the other one. Yeah, and it's like his his ability to go from zero to six sixty. Yeah, he just starts so fast. He needs that. They need to treat him the way they treated Dion when Dion was returning with the with the foal, because he said, look, guys, just get out of my way. You know you're in the way. I love your blockers. Yes, just get out of the way, guys. I mean, you know, I don't need much. And he's the same way. Turping
is the same way to get him started. Must just kind of let him do his thing. Man. Oh it was uh yeah, and there's more to come for this guy. I love it. And you know, the other thing I saw probably we didn't bring it up on mars fifty nine yard kick. If you go back and look at the snap, I don't know if it came down low, but uh anger had to double double put it down, like yeah, I thought I saw that as it happened.
I thought it was a bad snap and um and I think Mar had to delay just a fraction of yeah, yeah, because you're you're late. Yeah, and he got it. He got it down, but Las and the laces didn't make it all the way that's what I was thinking that. I was thinking, what, however, he put it down, the laces would not look like this like that, Maybe it's inside, Yeah, I thought live and you couldn't see it on the replay because the angle on the replay, you couldn't see
where the ball wound up. Yeah, but I thought that same thing, and that was just kind of these little things. There. You see, there's three more points, right, So now the Cowboys win twenty four to nine. Well, let's see, No, it's twenty six twenty you on site kick and you got a chance to throw a hill mirror. We know we've already got the Cowboys were already got. The Cowboys already won the game twenty one nineteen. Now we just added three more boys. If that had gone right, it's
twenty four nineteen. But for the disparity at halftime yards Philadelphia had one seventy eight, the Cowboys at eighty one. Philadelphia had twelve first downs and Cowboys at four. The only thing that was almost plays Philadelphia had thirty eight the Cowboys twenty six, passing one eleven to thirty six, and the quarterback ratings one to one oh one. I thought I saw that one to one oh one. His quarterback rating was one. I don't think I've ever seen
that one point? Did see that? I know I saw that. Yeah, I'm not sure I ever thought I might. To know what would have made it zero minus the one completion? I don't know. Well, do you know I get credit for any of your completions? I think they only got to go somewhere, right, they have to actually result in positive years. He was five for sixteen for thirty six yards. Okay, so this is these are the halftime numbers? Yes, yes, okay, one point. Unbelievable me, why do you even have the point?
And they still were in the game twenty to seventeen? All right to that point? Yes, quarterbacks? In Week six, first off this week? How many teams scored thirty points in a game this week? Three? That's right, that's what was going to be my guest. Three teams, which brings the season total to twenty nine. In six weeks of the season, only twenty nine times as a team scored thirty points in a game. So how many That percentage is really low? Yeah, how many games have been played?
That's pretty high? Math, Well, it was five times four teams had buys this last Yeah, we now we're entering the buy season. So it's was sixteen times five, which is that's eighty eighty and then this week you had fourteen games, Okay, so that would be one hundred and whatever eighty eight chances and twenty nine out of one hundred and eighty eight. So whatever that percentage is, twenty nine of one. You don't have a calculator, man's an Andrew no I wrote it down to figure it out.
That's fifteen point four percent. Fifteen still got black. Yeah, so there you go. All right, how about these were all right, I'm gonna list off these quarterback passing numbers, Okay, Carson Wentz ninety nine yards, Marcus Mariota total total passing yards. Okay.
These are the winning quarterbacks from Week six. Winning quarterbacks Carson Wentz ninety nine yards, Marcus Mariota one twenty nine, Zach Wilson one hundred and ten yards, Kirk Cousins one seventy five, Daniel Jones one seventy three, Mitch Trubisky one forty four, and Geno Smith one ninety seven. Jalen Hurts one fifty five. Those are one, two, three, four, five, seven, eight of the winning quarterbacks had less than two hundred yards passing. You could have the charges to no Herbert
was two thirty eight. Okay, he let it up. Yeah, maybe he did it in overtime. I think he did. We for a minute, I thought I remember saying one. Right. So those were your winning quarterbacks. Had eight of them had less than two hundred yards passing in the game. Did any of the winners have more? And Bailey Zappy had three o nine in a thirty eight to fifteen win for New England no picks, two touchdowns. Matt Ryan had three eighty nine in Indianapolis thirty four twenty seven.
There's another one of your thirty point games, three eighty nine. Jeff Joe Burrow had three hundred and they scored thirty points. And then the other only other one was Josh Allen had three twenty nine in a twenty four twenty one over Kansas City. Mahomes through for three thirty eight game. The only other quarterback to throw for three hundred was Teddy Bridgewater off the bench in a twenty four sixteen loss to Minnesota. So here's the key stat though, for
the quarterbacks. The winning quarterbacks. Okay, so you got fourteen wins here, fourteen games? How many interceptions did the winning quarterbacks throw in the games this weekend? How many interceptions for the winning quarterbacks? Of all those guys, you have about five? I'm gonna go ten two two? Wow, the winning teams only threw two interceptions. So fourteen fourteen games winning team, the winning teams had two interceptions, twenty two touchdowns.
The losing teams through fifteen picks. That's what I was thinking. I don't know that's the trend. Now, guys, there you go. That's and and take it back to the Cowboys. What did Cooper Rush do during his four wins? No intersps? And there were three three picks in this game? Yeah, two of them. So we're gonna take away too, did you what? We can't? No, but if we did, then that would get their point total down to where is
the music? Chris? So, of those games the winning quarterbacks through for less than two hundred, then how much did the losing quarterback throw if they got most of them had more than Yeah? Now, before we go, um, something I was wanting to ask you, guys. I'm having a senior moment. Never, No, let's take a quake, and I'll be ready for it to come back, all right. The lowest passing total for a starting quarterback, p J Walker for the Carolina Panthers through for sixty yards against the Rams,
was here, and we're blaming Baker Man. He was. He started, they got real placed by Jacob Eason and he went for fifty nine, so they had totaled one nineteen. And p J. Walker was Matt Rule's guy from Temple, that's right, that's right, might be Robbie Anderson was his guy from Temple. Yea Robbie. And now with the Arizona Cardinals, which how desperate are the Cardinals right now? I thought that was a good move for them though. I mean, I think they needed the wide receiver because right now Kyle is
looking like and Hollywood Brown got hurt. Yeah, and Hopkins is not back yet. He's this week this week, and they got a Thursday game, So that was a good sign for them. They I think they needed Bobby more than Robby needed them. Actually, oh, I think Robbie probably did he think to considering he got into the locker room quickly with his wide receiver quickly he was gone. I mean that just lets you know if they want to make moves, they can make moves. How quickly was
Steve conn and the Cardinals GM on the phone to them? Uh? Was soon as Hollywood. I'm like, what wait, what does happened here? Man? Which by the way, which, by the way, I would have said that King Cliff Kingsbury's on the hot seat right now, no doubt about it. No he's not. No, he's not. He signed a contract extensions. He's under contract through twenty twenty seven. Have any teams fire coaches and
Carolina just yeah, talking about we're talking. We're talking. We're talking um more money than No, No, you can't rules making. It can happen. It can happen because you know when they bought the man, they know they brought the man on the weird circumstances. Anyway, he just got fired from Texas Tech and he gets a I mean you fall uphill, how do you get And you know, here's the other thing. Is Kyler Murray's college quarterback getting far away? Kyler Murray's
college head coaches Watts and Lincoln Riley. Yeah, yeah, he's on the buy this week you might be interviewing for the job and in the in the NFL. You don't have to go to your alumni to pay off a contract. Hell, there you go. Fire all right, we're gonna fire some more people when we come back here. We paid how much for those lessons? She's doing great? Oh yeah, totally. Can you pass me a pepsi zero sugar? Great job, honey, Oh oh, look at that. That's not the end, No way.
Now it's time for the encore. You know what, You're right? Five times? Not enough times for everyone who traded in rock concerts for their kids recitals. You've compromised enough Pepsi zero sugar. uh surgeon one more time's timing on passes? Yeah, like timing, no, no, on on just playing. Did you see the timing on passes Sunday night? Yeah? I knew what I was gonna say. Oh, okay, you go the last interception, guys, I hate to break into that. But the last interception, what did you think about that last interception? Well, he got oh CD? Or if CD was running for yes, yeah he got hit. Yes, yes he got blasted. What do you think about what
occurred down the field? CD didn't really adjust to the ball. He adjusted all right, now, he kept going, Yeah, that's how he adjusted. He veered. He's like, oh, there's a guy coming the balls that have gout coming business decision. He veered outwards. He didn't veer inside the guy. He veered away from the guy as he was catching the ball. And to me and I know, that would have been a tough play, but as a wide receiver, I'm gonna protect my quarterback's numbers. You're not gonna catch that ball.
You're not going to catch that ball. I am going to meet you at the ball. I won't be able to meet you diving in trying to catch it. But if nothing else, I could gather myself, and I know CD as an athletic person to he could gather himself and somehow try and create mishap in regards him catching the ball. You can see that he clearly saw the dB dive and he veered. He did not Yeah, but he was past the ball. Now, no, he wasn't. I
am positive. I thought I had to come back because he would have had to veer, he would have had to veer into him. He veered away from him and to me, here you go, here go, I got it right here. I was thinking he didn't see the guy in the play. Yeah he saw. Okay, you're as good as he is. And I'm not no wide receiver, but I can see when the ball's coming down if I had come on, now, I look at that. Come on, that's a business decision easily. All right, micke y'all, let
you look at it. That's a business decision easily. That's a bam bam play right there. Okay, and I know that coach mccarthur's close looking at him, side eyed right now, going hey bro, well they already said it. Yeah, you gotta go. You gotta go at least touch him, something like oh you mayn't even have to pick No, my thing, that would have been a tael that still would have been been less than what I would ask I would need from him. I see, he's got to come in
and make this is time. Man. You want to make sure he doesn't catch that ball. It was a difficult catch anyway, right, all you needed was some type of indefense, that's all you needed, and he made a business decision and that interference. You know what's good. You know what's interesting about that because the typically you you do, you know, the game is shot from a high angle, okay, and typically this is a TV production thing. So now at this level, they will be rolling on their live camera okay,
where you'll get to replay You can't. They have access to a replay there, but typically your replays come from different camera angles. And so the camera angle that we saw on the coverage of Sunday Night was like a ground level, and so you can't you don't have the perspective of exactly where CD was. So what you saw that live okay, you saw the angle that CD took. If you if you weren't paying that close of attention, you wouldn't have noticed. Because in the real they didn't
show the replay of that high Angley shot. They just showed him kitch. But if you go back and look at the live, real time shot of it, it's exactly what you're talking about. But on the replace it you don't get that perspective, well, because they were concentrating on the defensive play of making the kitch more than they were. And it looks like CDs. It looks like CD was farther down field. That's what I thought. Yeah, I saw it on TEA and then CD. Once again, this is
a professional wide receiver. You know if that ball once that ball is up there, you know, if it's gonna land short or if you got a whole ass to go get it. He already knew that that ball was descending quicker then it should have been. He knows he should have broken down and he could have made a play, not necessarily on the ball, but on the defensive back himself to where he doesn't catch the ball. We need with about survival here even if you don't make that play.
Was it fourth dowl? Was it fourth dowal? It was second now forty yard line with over five minutes left and again, and see, those are the kind of things that you want your number one receiver to sacrifice for his quarterback. And right now he's he's getting that reputation
of where is Amar And you don't want that. And I just saw Mary Cooper catch a hell of a pass for a touchdown in Cleveland, and so it lets you don't don't make people regret what they miss, Okay, make them make make I don't want that from our players. And that's that's the way it's looking with CD right now. He's got to get this reputation off of him because right now it's it's it's hanging onto him like like
like he needs some soap. I'm just saying, I'm just saying, you got you know, you know when your rep is out there in a bad way, and Seed he knows that right now. Cowboys know it too. So we're gonna add some points there. Oh no, that would have been at least a field goal, So that gets it to twenty seven. That would have that would have sealed the winner. But see, that's what happens when you lose. All these
little things become magnified. When you win, it's like, oh okay, you know, and when you're when you're struggling on offense like they have even the last two games, right, every little bit makes a difference. Now, the difference is when you lose, it becomes a bigger dudes, and those things start to become glaring. Yes, and you don't want those want like all right, right right, CD boy, you you that was a businesscision? Ha ha ha. Now it ain't ha ha ha. Yeah, so that's the difference. All right,
we got one minute left. Yankees gonna win? Man, Wait, what time is three o'clock? Three seven, three o'clock game? Pretty cool? Pretty cool Yankees and the Guardians at three? Man, what the heck happened to the greatest team in baseball? Yeah? They gotta be Come on, you know it was funny on funny last night. The football game was in a commercial,
so I said, only go check the baseball game. Well, I thought it was in a commercial too, right, And I knew this was going to happen, right we I didn't get to sleep till five thirty Monday morning, and uh, I fell asleep and I woke up and there was still a commercial, and I go, that can't still. And then I turned over and the football games going right. I caught back up, and then it was like, what what happened? And then the baseball get oh we got postmarmed.
Oh so that's right. It was they were commercials. Something else was on. It was some goofy show and I was like, what is going on? Here, and then I said, well, game's over. Yeah, I got the game at what is it three? Because they waited till like today's games at three, three o seven, they waited till nine thirty. And by the way, your Dallas Stars, yes three, and oh how
about that? And they scored their opponents thirteen to three defense baby, four to one, offense baby to one, four to one, and five one that's right, And your FC Dallas team into the playoffs, yes five, they made all five, all five watching you were a man for all I read. I know, I actually didn't know it to legislat today. And basketball starts tonight. Average nage played tomorrow night, tomorrow night. But back against Phoenix when they own Phoenix, and you
know that's going to be a game. I'm looking more forward to that than than Lakers Warriors. So maybe maybe the head coach has made a difference with the scoring for the Stars were switching sports. I was going back right now, they've they're scoring, that's right, that was the problem last year. All right, So there was your sports minute. Sports. We wrap up this edition of mix shots and football, basketball, baseball, soccer.
Yeah what else? We're not missing anything? Not right now? No, all right, We're talking football again tomorrow on the next edition of Mix Shots, Go Cowboys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
