The following. Here's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club Cowboys. This is Mick Shot screaming live on Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the official Dallas Cowboys at now Here are Bill Jones, Everson Walls, and Nicky Spagnola. And it is time for It's Tuesday or is it Wednesday? Edition of mix Shots Bill Jones, Everson Walls, Mickey Spagnola inside the SWBC podcast studio here at the Star in Frisco. There's no better Tuesday. But
it's a Wednesday. It's supposed it's a Saturday night game, so it's supposed to be a Wednesday, isn't it. I see nothing on the practice field out there. There's nothing nothing out there, Although you know what I think they're They made me bringing them and late because they got they're squishing it to all together. The player virtual interviews too early in the day for that kind of talk. Bill,
the player virtual interviews aren't to three forty five. So if they're having meetings, and typically on a Wednesday, they would be like after practice at one one thirty in that race, and so they were gone later, say after the game on Sunday. They didn't know they were playing Saturday night. Although Mike McCarthy said he had inkling, he claimed that they were. They were. They weren't caught off guard. Yes, so they probably told the team, Hey, we might be
playing Saturday night. Button. By the way, I have half a day off. I want that with a different logo on it. Yeah, that's a good sh is man, it's nice. But it's got the Graham going, baby, got the Graham, got the leaves. Yeah, man, this is good stuff. I'm not cross matching either. It's all Adidas. All right. So I got called out by Clar's Hill. You can't wear a Nike with Adidas apparently. You know, I'm sixty two years old and I'm still being judged like I'm back
in high school. But you know what, I found something that I hadn't worn in a while. Yeah, I forgot I had that. I put it on and I said, okay, there's no logo on it. And then on this sleeve was Adidas, and I said I better not wear that. Yeah. We were like, we're like back in high school. I can't I can't cross brand. You can't cross which, by the way, is that is that considered a half zipper for that it is zap for a quarter, it's half the Mannings are talking about did you watch it less?
I watched. They talked about that the quarters they wear quarter zippers. Okay, and Aaron Rodgers went out of his way to make sure he wore a quarter zippers. Oh okay, boy, that sounds like some boring you know what, being glad. I watched that show before that. He he they had Snoop bond. He was fantastic. He was fan. He's a big I didn't realize he's a big Steelers fan. Okay, grew up maybe I don't know if it was Pittsburgh or whatever. He grew up like in Pittsburghers. Yeah, and
so like Cowboys fans, they're all matter. Was fantastic. Like the things that he knew about the team, Yes, their history, about the game, well you know said he said, so they were audible into a play and all basically Roethlisberger was throwing check down. Did you see his yards per attempt? I did? Oh? Yeah, yeah, And so Snoop wound up and I think two point seven Snoop was all over Snoop was all over it. He goes, yeah, they're checking off to that two yard and he knew what they
were going to do. At halftime, he had thirty four temps in ninety six yards. It was two point yards in a timp and I glanced it at the end of the game. I think it was like forty three attempts one hundred and twenty three yards or something like. It was two point seven yards in a tip. I have never in all my life seen at any level a yards per attempt that low. And it was so crazy because they kept trying to make this such a glorious evening, yes, and they were going overboard with it.
I'm like, oh my god, guys, he's just a human being. Well, the channel, the reason, the reason why I watched I was on the Manning cast. That might have been the only time Chris I wouldn't should have been on the They had it, They had it right right right. Life hates watching football with me, but she loves watching the Manning Cast. She like, yeah, but but it was just over the top. Man, it was just I can't watch it. Yeah, yeah,
that's why I watched the Manning Yeah. If it's not a game that I have a vested interest in, like that, one like, okay, oh, I forgot it was on I missed the commissioner, but I got there in time for snoop. And then Aaron Rodgers and uh, actually you know Aaron Rodgers dry sense of humor. But they, the three of them mixed really well and talking about the game and things. And then the interesting thing was he was like, you
know what I think about it? He interested he was talking about all yeah, he was talking about how loyal people are that are from Pittsburgh to Pittsburgh, about McCarthy, and then he talked about McCarthy saying when he would talk to me on my head my helmet thing, he said, at first, I had no idea what he was saying, what his accent right, because right, the Pittsburgh phrases and the different words, no, I didn't know about. Yeah, like they got Pittsburgh e's you know, and it's like I
didn't know what those words meant, and he brought it. Yeah, he said, it's like trying to understand Mike McCarthy onset. Yeah. That was that part was really good. And they were and you know what, and they were really accurate, like they were saying the last full possession that the Steelers had They were saying, okay, they just need to at one point called time out or take a knee, called time out and let him walk off the field right, and Nag Harris runs for a touchdown right, and then
they were like, okay, Gopher two, they call a time out, right. Well, they kicked it right, and then they got the interception, and then they got an interception, they got the ball back and the Browns just wouldn't cooperate. That's the problem. Actually, they were trying to cooperate. They was trying to throw intercepts.
They gave him, they gave him the curtain call with ten seconds left, and so he goes out to take a knee and that's when they said, well what they need to do is after taking a knee, call the time out and then he referees are like it's over. Nobody to cooperate. Yeah, and then and then um, one more one more thing on Roethlisberg, are you okay? And one more thing on Roethlisberger. He wasn't cooperating with me.
I was in the championship game of my fantasy football against Caden Gates here and he had a forty two point lead on me. Going into Monday night, and I had been roethlisbergers my quarterback. Who was I had four quarterbacks on my roster. I just started because I lost Lamar Jackson, and so I picked up Huntley and then I picked up So I just went ahead and picked I had Roethlisberger already and I had I went ahead and picked up Baker Mayfield. I'll just make a decision.
And then at the last Big Ben. I went with Big Ben because Okay, it's his farewell. He's gonna throw four touchdown passes. He's gonna go out. I wish we got points for how many for how many passes they throw? Yeah, forget that, that's right, but go ahead, Mickey No, and so um he got me seven points or something like that. Go ahead, and I needed forty two. So Mahomes got sacked nine nine times. I meeld yeah nine times, yeah, yeah,
And then what ended up with four. So he's got twenty one and a half with one game to go, and the records try strayhand twenty two and a half. So maybe somebody will fall down to Baltimore. They played Baltimore. I think Baltimore will fall down and let him get stuck. They ask you something. Harvey Martin was in the twenties, what happened with that? Did they take away? They took
him away? It didn't count because it was before nineteen eighty two, when stat uh sacks became an official NFL nineteen you'd just be happy ever since they were they were keeping training. What they weren't keeping track of tackles. Well, that's okay, I would so so not worried about that. So anyway, So the game ends and they're going to interview uh Roethlisberger afterwards. Right, he does the entire interview
with a helmet on and his chin strap over his mouth. Now, I don't know if that was for COVID reasons or what, but he never I don't think it. Never moved, never moved right. And then when he got done, you know, everybody's hugging him and everything, and he's gonna go and basically walk the side of the stands if he cared about COVID, didn't we Yeah, you're right, good point. He
shook hands with their buddy in the stadium. There must have been there must have been fifty video and still camera guys around him, So it was like an amba I saw that, and I'm thinking, Okay, look at this. This is his last hurrah, and we can't hardly see him because of all these people. I said, can't they shoot them out of the way. Think about this, You
tried to out of the way for as well. Think about this though, had had this succeeding now, had this been back in nineteen thirties, iconic picture of Lou Garrick given his final speech, it would have never been shown because there would have been they would have been able to see his head because everyone else would have been surrounded him with cameras and and and so they followed him all the way. And finally here comes his family out right, and they're all around him taking pictures, all
these little kids. And the coolest shot ever was he went into the tunnel and it was just him, his wife, his kids, and I think mom and dad might have been in there, and it was it was the tunnel was lit, but it was and Joe Green came down the cut it was it would have been, and it was the neatest shot ever because it was just them and it was from behind like he was walking into the and it was a really neat shot and there no cameraman in the way. But just just just slow down,
you said, lou Giwick, Yes versus Ben Woethlisberger. Let's let's not well no, no, no, just camera saying them separate that as far away as we can. Okay, yeah, but you're just sure, you know you're invoking come on man, No, no, I'm just saying picture. In those days, it would have never taken place if it was just slow down, just slow down. The Mannings were out by then. Oh yeah, oh no, that was back on. I was That's why I didn't see it. We manning cast. But the Mannings
were good, they were real good. They did. They ran out of things to say once the once the walk off started, they were just watching his time to go. Yeah. Yeah, they were like they were over that. Yeah, they didn't get post they didn't get postgate time walked around the stadium. They stayed with it for a little bit. Yeah, but but they weren't saying anything. They run out of things to say back. And he was sitting on the bench for like ten Why is he sitting on the back,
don't know. I was waiting for that walk offf ship and he was waiting for the director. They were waiting for these camera guys around him. Yeah, I'm sorry, just as a former player, that was way too much for it. I get it that that was way too much for me. Get me playing next week. Ya, nothing's happened with you last game last? Yeah, I get that. I get that, you get that for your last I didn't know it was my last home game. If I would have known that,
we would have made the races. But that didn't happen. So nout Jimmy. Jimmy told you, Oh it was way fast, Jimmy, my last game with several coaches. Yeah, it took more than one coach. But when your last game here, Jimmy said that the Super Bowl field is over, but I would have been good. Just take your knee and jog off the field and wave at the fans. And then he did. And then here he goes with lou Garrett. You see what I'm saying. It's it's too much. It's
the the visual, the visual. I get the visual. And then he did his postgame interview with the media and he had a stocking cap pulled down to his eyebrows, and overall, what is going on with him? I have no idea. I had no idea. Luke Garril on the whole time, kids come out, he was on the whole time. Something's going on with his hair? Then maybe yeah, maybe anyway, that's that was uh. We we spent way too much time on podcast. It was more about the Manning cast.
I understand. Yeah, okay, so let's do something that's very worthy. Uh and let's go with the Black College Hall of Famous. Can we do that? We can? We don't need we don't. I want to know which of these guys you played against? I played against Nate Uh, Ben Coats, why don't you run run off? Let's rob them the list first, We've got Coats been coach who went to Livingstone. That's one of the oldest colleges in the country, if especially HBCU colleges.
Donald dr Livingstone, Donald Driver went to El Cordon no All corn All Corner. Hell, wow, boy, just be quiet, white guy. Let the black guys take care of it, all right. Yeah. John Big Train Moody, he was a player running back from Maurice Brown College, cumulate two hundred and ninety total points and said, hey, hey, shut up, record for black college football players. We're still toy. Okay,
you got the next, and go ahead. Roscoe Nance contribute baby Universe, who I worked with at the newspaper Talks Mississippi. Good dude man, one of the one of the pioneers of black college reporters, one of the first guys that USA Today hired. That's right, one of the first HBCU guys. Many and so yeah, well he was a good friend of HBCU all Americans. I really missed that guy, Roscoe, Nancy good dude. And you did you skipped Nate Newton. Nate Newton, Florida A and M played for I didn't
know he did it, did you? They played for the Tampa Bay Bandits. Yes, USFL say you should let me do this. Yeah, no, no, you give that good stuff. Nate undrafted nineteen eighty three by the Washington team. I was said Redskins, and they were the Redskins in eighty three. Yes, they were got cut and he ended up in the USFL Tampa Bay Badnuts. And when they folded it in eighty six summer, the Cowboys signed him as a free agent and he showed up in Thousand Oaks, California at
Saint Louke. You remember him when he walked onto the campus about three hundred and fifty. The first time I saw him, he was just sitting sitting in the locker room. What did I say, You said, Saint Luke's or something, now Lutheran Luke. Yeah, Now he was sitting on me. He was just sitting in the locker room. We had just come in for my morning practice, and I saw this big old dude sitting over them. He was this big old dude. Yeah, he just yea, at that time,
we wont used to him being just that. You they were like to seventy on the audi. Yeah, and he's over three hundred and fifty, big old dude. You know how many three hundred pounders were in the league when Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys in nineteen eighty nine, Probably two other than four the fridge Jerry Fridge, Jerry Jerry says they were. I remember him sitting this as years ago. He said it four or three hundred pounders in the league when he bought the team in nineteen eighty nine.
So when he showed up in eighty six, you remember the assistant equipment guy, Jerry little Short, Yeah, of course, yea. F JO. I can't remember his last name. Darned Foller follow and they didn't have pants big enough for Nate. Yeah, and he was the one that started it, said gal if if William Perry's the fridge, this guy's the kitchen. Yeah yeah, And so it became that's how although Tom wasn't fond of the world. Yeah, they didn't believe in players.
They didn't believe in players trying to make money off the field back then. No, nil, he didn't believe in three hundred and fifty pounds. They tell you, they know, they tell you, well, you don't need we don't need to pay you much money because you're Dallas cowboy and you're gonna get more off the field opportunities. But then as you trying to, you know, achieve those off the field opportunities, and they tell you can't achieve those opportunity was available to Yeah, yeah, I got the nil right
here anyway. So next the next one is William Billy Nicks. He was a coach for Marris Brown College and for Prayer of youw A and M. Marris Brown as well got the college national championship and uh. He was named coach of the Year by the Pittsburgh Courier. Remember that newspaper. Yes, all right, then the last but not the one. I didn't realize what Sammy White, that he went to Grambling boy, Oh man, we hung our hat on Sammy. I played with his baby brother. He was my other cornerback, James White.
That's right, really, yes, that was my I have a picture of all four of us in the second day, all the whites, not the whites, all the d ds. No, we didn't have a bunch of whites a Grammar. Very few, very few whites. Sammy White, Sammy White. Minnesota Vikings played one hundred and twenty eight games, threeption sixty four hundred receiving yards and fifty touchdowns. And that concludes the black
college All American. So we did a big h interview with Donald Driver when he returned here for the Super Bowl that year with the Packers, and his story was fabulous. Um grew up in Houston. Uh and you know that story. Huh. And he was running, uh in this stolen car ring to make money when he was in high school. And uh, it's kind of similar to your story. He had a girlfriend that said it's either me or that, and it ain't both. Here's here's what happened. First, there was an
old lady in the neighborhood. The cops were chasing him. She called him on to the porch. The cops were looking for him. She said, no, this is not him. He's been with me all this time. That old lady changed his life right there, because she talked him out of that life. And as she protected him, she became like his you know, second mother, a mentor in the neighborhood. And from then on he did not do anything like
that anymore, just out of respect for her. And he went on to make more of him any any and to get out of Houston. He goes to Alcorn uh and and basically, you know who's this guy, right, Uh, he's your side, turned himself, turned himself around, ended up with the Packers. Great story lives here now and he lives No, he was living in Flower Mountain when he did interview with him. And his son, Christian played for Jason Witten at Liberty Christian h this past football season. Okay,
and just signed with Penn Stake. All right, Really that stuff and he was a great guy. Great interview with some stuff. If you go to the field house over in Great Bund he owns that does it, he's I don't know if he owns he's yeah, he's probably a part of right, you know, that's nice. The funny thing with the interview we did, it was like an hour and a half. He basically gave us his life story and then we get done. He goes, um, are you going to use all that? I'm going, Oh, what do
you mean? He goes, well, you know, I got this idea of writing a book and I don't want the whole story out before nobody's going to read this stuff. Right, he never wrote he never wrote it, and nobody read the stuff. Oh yes, don't forget dancing with the Stars for him too, that's right, right, yeah, good job. So anyway, I don't know if that had anything to do with the cot good state, but uh, good for him, and it does because McCarthy. And by the way, he did
get the call from from Doug. He did, of course, Yeah, I gave him a number. Okay. As a matter of fact, not long after we've finished the show, or just before the week, he said, you didn't say how he went? He said that. He basically told him, he said, but you can't tell anybody because the releases Tomorrowman, I told people who Doug is Williams. I didn't know. No, No, we set it on the air and we set it
off the year. Yeah, Devi Williams, who along with Shack Haris, they have kept this whole Black College Hall of Fame thing alive. They won't let it drop. The mister Baker from the Hall of Fame has been very instrumental in helping keep all of this alive, to keep the note, all of the publicity for HBCU. So Doug Williams has
been a part of that. Of course, Doug wis my quarterback at Grambling State, first Black college quarterback to be up for the Heisman back in nineteen seventy seven, and of course we went on play with Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he won the Super Bowl with it at that time Washington Redskins, and he is now UH player personnel. I believe he's had still with the Washington football team,
so he is still part of that. And he was also the losing quarterback in the Cowboys only victory in nineteen and I got my only interception that year in nineteen eighty nine, it was a tip pass. I still got him. Yes, my streak is alive. Okay, we went way pass, but it was well worth it. Mickey, you wouldn't believe the list of things he has to talk about. Gee, I can't believe here next shots, Hey cowboys fans, ready to spice up your next watch party, Bring Yokiro guacomole

And I remember when we first started doing this read it sounded like twenty twenty two was
so far off. And now here here it is. Here it is um Okay, you had a list of about five things you wanted to talk about on this show, and where would you like to start. I've got a I've got before you do that, the NFC seating possibilities. Okay, and you've got a copy of it over there too. You can figure it out. Well, here's here's the one thing. What are the chances that the Cowboys can move up from the four seed to the two seed? Well, in
two different scenarios. They need three things to happen. So basically to move up from the four seed to the two seed, Dallas has to win. Of course, Carolina has to beat Tampa Bay, San Francisco over the Rams, Seattle over Arizona, and it doesn't matter what happens in New Orleans in Atlanta, right, okay, But if the Rams lose in Arizona wins, right, they need a three way tie because otherwise Arizona would beat them out on a head
to hit. Well, okay, So here it is. Here it is to become the three seed, Dallas has to win, Tampa Bay wins, San Francisco beats the Rams, and Seattle beats Arizona. Right, So there you go. So I read something somebody put it it was it was a long shot. Well it's it's a long shot, but it's a shot. But the first thing you got to do is take care of yourself and win. Otherwise everything's nail doesn't count.
So there are there are thirty two possibilities on these five games that play a factor in it, and two out of the thirty two wind up with the Cowboys with the two seed. In two out of the thirty two Cowboys get the three seed. Cowboys are getting the four So there's four possibilities. That's right, that's right. But this is there's one sixteenth of a chance that the Cowboys would move up this though, is for sure. The Cowboys twenty twenty two opponents we know all but one.
So the Cowboys are playing the NFC North this year, the AFC South, and then the first place team in the NFC South Tampa Bay, first place team in the NFC West, so it'll either be the Rams or the Cardinals. And in the seventeenth game they get a home game against the AFC North first place Cincinnati. So Joe Burrow coming to the Sea game the seventh wells in order the extra game, the extra game, Okay, the extra game this year was New England. We were playing them on
the last game of the Sea. So the home games Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, and then the three NFC East games the away games Green Bay, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Tennessee, and either Arizona and either Arizona or the Rams along with the NFC East. So um, that's the quarterbacks coming. Quarterbacks coming in here next year, justin field, Chicago, whoever, Detroit starting, whoever, Houston starting, u in Indy is Carson Wentz still a
quarterback next year? Tom Brady, Tom Brady and Joe Burrow So those are the two headliners, Brady and Burrow coming here. We want to do the ones on the away game. We know that a Rogers in Bay Cincinnati about Pittsburgh. Oh you think he'll go to Pittsburgh. I don't know. So he was auditioning for it on the mast Yester night, okay, and then at Kirk Cousins if he's still there. I don't know what his contracts. That Jacksonville, Trevor Lawrence, Tennessee,
Tannehill and either Kyler Murray or Matthew Stafford. There you go, all right, it's not all about the quarterback, is no. Here's here's one thing you talked earlier about. You know what I record is and what are the odds of us moving up? So is this game worth it? Yeah? That's the question. And well let's get to the other
headline news in Philadelphia. Yes, and how Philadelphia is going to be treating this game because they're going to wind up either being the seventh seed or the sixth seed, and so well, basically they don't have much to play for in this game and they don't have many to play for it. So the news from yesterday, because six from the Eagles twelve guys. Twelve geez, oh my goodness
on COVID right now. Together they went on the Letcher Cox, Dallas Goddard, Uh, Jannard Avery, Alex Singleton, Marcus Epps, Rodney McLeod, Nate Herbig, Jordan Howard, Boston Scott, center, Jason Kelsey, cornerbacks Avonte Maddox and tight end Jack Stole. And most of those guys are starters or those that are getting a lot of starters. The starters are Kelsey, Cox, Goddard, Bart, Scott, Avonte Maddox, and Nate Herbig. Uh. And then I looked.
Alex Singleton, linebacker had fifty snaps in this last game, Marcus Epps UH, safety had seventeen snaps, Jordan Howard, running back had seventeen. Oh no, he had eleven carries for twenty six yards. Uh, And linebacker Jannard Avery had twenty snaps. You know what's interesting about that list is the position groups. It's like two from from every position. Right. That's those darned meeting rooms. So who knows. I mean, if they all clear in five days, they'd be ready for Saturday, right, Well,
don't they want to play to improve their position? I think Philadelphia. I suspect I suspect there was some strategy involved there to rest those guys. I know, I think there's some strategy involved in Okay, get to get everybody tested this week and get it over What do you have to test on Monday if you're not vaccinated? No, I think the team's the new rule was everybody had to test on regardless of that. I thought. I thought the rule now is if you're only symptoms, well they
must have had symptoms. Then well that's the thing. Okay, I got symptoms, so I'm gonna go test. Let's get it over with this week. Not so it doesn't get a symptoms during the game, yeah, because they already knew why that day. But no, no, I'm saying is you can also volunteer to tests. You don't have to have symptoms. You can volunteer to test. Yeah, but you can't you can't phony up the tests. But if you but if you,
if you test, if you get everybody go test. You got seventy guys including the practice what everybody go tests, Let's see how many come back because next week we don't want this to happen next week where we get an asymptomatic positive. Whatever. Oh, so it'd be okay if they all had it, and because he rather they have it this week than next week, because Mickey here, there's random testing, that's what it. No, I don't think so if you think it's I thought they there's it's there's
random testing. I don't. I don't agree with that. Okay, well look it up, because because I thought the Cowboys had to test on Monday, they had virtually all the season, and then they changed it here in the last month because they were getting so many tests during this season, the vaccinated unvaccinated didn't have to test. What right are you saying everybody has to test on my day during the season, you said unvaccinated. Did they not unvaccinated test
every day? Right? Yeah? I mean vaccinated? Yes, okay, right, yeah, yeah, during the season, vaccinated had to test every week. Right then they were getting so many positives across the league. They changed the rule, the rule on that. I thought it was just once a week. I thought they went back to that through I'll look at where this next. I thought it was through January or December twenty seventh, because they were trying to get through Thanksgiving without uh.
It get spread because of family and friends. That's what I thought. Well, let the question still stands, do we rest or do we try to improve us? Say? You play? I mean, you know, what did you ever see in this game that gave you confidence there that you're ready to go to the playoffs? Yeah? Right, you're ready for your right special teams. Now, So I agree on that, but I you know, you hear these people that never
play ball in their lives. They come up with these ideas and they call themselves being strategic, and to me, that's just being foolish. You know, you're you're coming up with some scenarios to where you think it's from an analytic standpoint, and it really isn't. It's it's coming from stupidity and well ignorance. It's coming from ignorance because they just don't know anybody. What did the rest do for the Cowboys in two thousand and seven when they didn't
have to play? They had a box right, Yeah, we got commercial car right bills watching this sex channel, you got play Boy channel. They asked Aaron Rodgers that last night and he brought up the same thing Mike brought up like one year. They rested, Yeah, it didn't pay off. One year they played, it didn't pay off. It doesn't really matter. I mean, it's all about your next opponent, you know, And they're worried about what when did we get someone hurt? Well, if that's the case, the damn it.
We shouldn't let anybody play last week if you were about everybody getting hurt, right, So they killed me with these precautions and these unforeseen problems that could happen, and we know back in the day, we never really thought about it like that, and they think that's being strategic. They they point out certain instances where the worst case scenario did occur, but that's just not the norm, right, And so for them to to to harp on those worst case scenarios, I just think it's messing up the
whole strategy of the gain. And then the three guys from the Cowboys that have some influence on that, Jerry Stephen, Mike McCarthy all said, we're playing. Yeah, so but you gotta say it right now. If you get in the game and you have an opportunity to pull back, then you can do so. Right, But I don't think you can start this week of practice like, who's it going to take practice seriously, if you're going now, we're right right, and then next week you'll lose a week of practice.
Exactly would you like to hear? What the as of a week before Christmas? This is December eighteenth, okay, the changes on the COVID protocols in the NFL. Fully Vaccinated asymptomatic individuals no longer subject to weekly testing. If a fully vaccinated player or staff member reports symptoms, that person
will immediately be isolated and tested. It will not be permitted to interact with any player but fully vaccinated asymptomatic individuals as of December eighteenth, no longer subject to weekly testing. All players and tiered staff will be subject to stringent symptom screening prior to entering a team facility. Fully vaccinated players and tiered staff will be subject to strategic targeted
spot testing, meaning random testing of certain people. So they were still doing it though, yeah, they were, they were testing. They were testing, but not everybody didn't have to be testing. It was testing symptomatic or asymptomatic. You have to say, got a running nose. There were stringent symptoms screening prior to entering a team facility. Each day before being permitted to enter in order to the church. So that means
take your temperature. Yeah, so what you're saying is that they just decide to random everyone they get every game, and that's what That's what I suspect the Eagles did is Okay, there's there's so many positives that are happening. Let's go ahead and and then, um, you've tested positive. Okay, so now you're not subject to a random test next week. Apped if you tested positive, what makes you think you didn't spread it to the rest of the game for
next week. But either way, you know, I mean either way, you know. So that's taking care of it this week rather than waiting until next week. The Cowboy ran where your key players are three stretch. But just because I test positive today doesn't mean he test positive tomorrow. It could be I'm not saying. I'm not saying that they knew that they were going to test positive, that they
just they they tested and they I understand. Yeah, But what I'm saying is it can spread and they got a test next week and they could find twelve more players. Well maybe maybe by getting out of the way this week they would be a little bit more cautious. For next week. Right, that's what he said. I'm saying, what if I've already infected you? But it didn't, but we still already know. We won't know till friday. That what, No, you won't know till friday, because sometimes the can take
a while. It takes two or three days right before it sets in. Right, So there could be twelve more next week, right, but you might as well find out as early as possible. If you're on the playoffs and you got an insignificant game though, question if you got to play on Saturday, that's right, all right, More mix shots in just a moment. had four hundred and fifty nine points going into the game. Uh, sunday, Okay, they scored twenty two, four hundred and fifty seven and they ended up with four hundred and seventy nine and sixteen games, which is tying the single season record for points scored established in nineteen eighty three. Really, four hundred and seventy nine. God, we only we only one one playoff.
We didn't win a play got beat by the Rams. Yes, so that ties the record with one game to go, So if they don't get shut out, they will establish a new record. You have to put an asterisk next to it. I think you go for average points per game average, So I don't know what that average is off the top of my head. Oh, okay, alright, divide four seventy nine by sixteen four seven nine divided by sixteen is twenty nine point nine. So they got to score thirty to keep the average. Hmm score thirty? Yeah?
Can Cooper Rush lead them to thirty points against Bill is not playing everything to win this game? Oh, Cooper Rush won? Is only start of the year, and I was thinking, how many do you score them? Twenty? Minnesota twenty twenty sixteen. Right, I got it. It wasn't it was thirty. Okay, I think that's my one of those sixty. Yeah, it wasn't thirty. I think that's the whole point and trust me, so you know. And then I was thinking, yeah,
we keep talking about this offense. How it's like, you know, good one week, bad for three weeks, and then they've scored all these points. Well, they have nine touchdowns on returns really either interceptions, fumble, kickoff return kiof block punt, block, block, punt covered in the end zone, interception. Uh yeah, nine of them. A few pieces. We have four pick six is right, two by digs Anthony Brown. No, and Anthony Brown he didn't score. He got chased down. I think
had Lawrence? Did you say Lawrence? Okay? So is that five six? Yeah? Five? Um? So a block punt in the end zone. I had two blocks that ended up as touchdowns, right, that's that's a return, yes, yeah, okay, yes, although they didn't have to return one of them. It was, yeah, it was right there already, it already returned. That was in Washington or he arrived one of the two. So anyway, yeah, they scored that many, So eighty three you didn't realize you scored them anytime. I know I didn't get one.
That's what I do know. I score my touchdown until nineteen ninety. Yeah, it was the Saints year when they won the Super Bowl. They had so many returns for touchdowns that year. That can bode very well for a team if you keep it up. Yea. And what happens when you don't get any takeaways? You get beat twenty five to twenty two, or you get beat thirty six
thirty three in overtime because they didn't get any. That was the last time they hadn't had a takeaway, and then the next four games they had fourteen and went on a four game winning street. So do you see a correlation or there is the correlation the pen hold? Well, that nice giving in January. Second, I think I think Mike said that they had that same crew against Minnesota and they had a high number of penalties in that
game too. Some crews call more penalties. Well, you know, I was watching last night too because I kind of had a a question about holding with the offensive lineman, Like if you got your hands on their shoulders, is that holding? Because nobody keeps their hands inside anymore, right, it's always here. Well, if they do, then they're they're all they all holding, they're holding. Yes, yeah, they catch the pass. That's the way. That's the way you get
away with holding. How you get away with them? So last night they did the same thing. It was like the holding call on Leal Collins. The guy had on the shoulder pads on the like right here, and they called holding on him here, can't be hold. Here's my question. So if you know that the crew is coming exactly and they they have the propensity to do that, then you got tell you boys, they did and they still and we prepared them even even for the Las Vegas
game as well. I don't know about Las Vegas, but because if you know the m O on these these crews, then I come on, man, you can't fall into the track. No, it's I think it's more the defensive coaches teach their defensive linemen to once they get your hands on on your shoulder pads, start flaying because they know the crew as well. And so you start, you turn, and you turn the run, you turn and you and you flail and you well, why can't we do that? Not enough
I guess not. We're too busy getting I'm to hold the cause that they called on us, I'll call against us four. I believe it was four. We're too busy beating the block and getting to the quarterback. Yeah, exactly, we will have time for that. They just pay attention to the delay a game. You'll men to start on that again. Yeah, we're going for that fog on. We got shot buzzler. All right, speaking of shot clock buzzlers,
got us again. Oh no, all right, we will can at you again tomorrow when maybe the team will be out on the practice field here at Strisco. Go Cowboys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
