The following. He's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Cowboys. This is nick Shot screening live on Dallas Cowboys dot com and the official Dallas Cowboys at Now. Here are Bill Jones, Everson Wolves, and Nicky Spagnola. And here we are for another edition of Mixed Shots. I got my Q from Micky right there, joined it with my headset. He's not here still from yesterday. And here we are Nicky Spagnola. What happened to my headset? Something?

Something was going on with him down all right? And we are inside the SWBC podcast studio. It is a Wednesday here, and it is Washington Week. It's officially Washington week because Washington finally played its game last night. And now we know exactly what is that steak on Sunday night when the football team comes here to what is that? I almost, boy, I almost text Everson at halftime because it was ten and I realized I had started I thought the game started at seven, so I started watching

in an hour behind it. Now I better not do that because even as he might say, what do you mean a tie game? How come You're going to text Everson and not me here yesterday. Yeah, but I'm the one who said that the Cowboys tie. What have you? Definitely lately Bill, That's how it goes. That's life. Because we talked about it yesterday, okay, the improbability of a tie. And then it was ten ten at half time. Everson texted me yesterday at one thirty seeing if you were

going to be here. No, you have my fist, Yeah, you have my PREPOSI let me find you get my phone here, all right? Uh Ever, Sid texted me and said, uh, believe it or not. But at one thirty one yesterday believe it or not, Spags forgot you work coming in And you know the funny part in my notes right here, it says Bill gone it did so, I said, Actually I actually I do. Yes, I do believe it to be Spark Actually I do. And that was so funny because in my crazy man and so he's sitting here,

Spass goes, oh that's right. And I didn't get didn't want to replace it. You're ready you readn't do some reads? Yeah? Thanks Bags? And no one no one wanted to replace Bill. Yeah, that's right. It was no one wanted to work with ever since that's where it was. I got another one I wanted to go to. There's a tweet I got. Did you see the tweet? I gotta find exactly Oh the guy goes out. You really like everything? Yeah? Yeah, all right, Nicky, bring us up to date on what's

going on while you're looking this tweet. So soon as we started with Philadelphia beating the Washington boy, did they beat them? I was ten to ten and a half times. Yeah, but I was very surprised that your boy. I know it's not your boy, Bill, but even though he was a bag, you gotta accept him. He is your guy's part of the Sooner family. And he played his butt off last night the second half. The second half, he's he's like half to half game. Man, Why couldn't he

do that the first part? Or at Oklahoma he got them to the championship. We won't forgiven for losing, but now, and not only that, but they ran for two So why couldn't we do that? Well? All was better do it on suddenly we should better? And that's my point. Why couldn't we do that? I mean that's what didn't have like Jim Brown running the ball? Did they or Zeke Elliott, Yeah, had miles and he capitalized off of

it big time. Hurts did. All of a sudden, the running, the passing game just opens up and guys a wild open And let's just be real, we talked trash about him, but every once in a while he'll put a great pass out of his out of his back pocket. Bocket that almost but the touchdown back show of fade. I

can't give a guy like that energy. You can't give him energy, and that running game gave him that, right and so when it didn't end up twenty seven, so um so the ramifications of them winning basically doesn't really change much for the Cowboys. So to simplify this clinching of the NFC East, the Cowboys got to win one more game or Philadelphia has to lose one more game, and then if the Cowboys win one, they get to eleven, and even if Philly wins out, they can only get

to ten. And if Philly loses, then they can't get the ten and the Cowboys are already with ten wins. The other thing that's out there to clinch the NFC East is there's a list of six teams, and if two of those six teams win on Sunday, the strength of victory, the Cowboys would clinch. So there is a possibility that they can clinch the NFC East before they even play Sunday night, because all these teams are playing before them, I do. I don't have who they're playing,

but I'm I'm looking at the teams that need to win. Okay, two of these six Chargers, Vikings, Patriots, Um Jacksonville, Vegas, or Atlanta. If they can get two of those teams to win, and Atlanta plays Detroit, Detroit's probably already won their quote, so is Atlanta though. Yeah, good point. Now the Patriots, I believe they end up playing Buffalo. So they play Buffalo. That's a difficult one. Okay, what are the other one? Vikings Vikings play the Rams. Okay, that's

a difficult one. Chargers, Chargers, Chargers are playing the Texans. Okay, there's one. Well there it is. I had written, and Vegas, Vegas, Vegas, Vegas. Where are they us Broncos? Oh so they all could lose? Yeah, I don't think. Well, Teddy's not playing. I don't know if that how much that bows for the Blancos And basically Buffalo's got a bunch of guys missing, including our Cole Beasley. I heard, yeah, yeah, and he's being he's being cold, he's yeah, it's not his fault, it's the

downs the right. So anyway, that kind of simplifies everything. But again, it's not just at this point to me, and I would imagine to this coaching staff, it's not just about winning the division, right, it's it's it's about getting a seed. Yeah. Right, I'm not even worried about you still, I'm not worried about it. You still have a chance, but it's no problems if he loses one. You know, when you get into a three or four way tie, you still got the best record right now

in the NFC. That's what I'm going to keep it right at the conference and if you can just get the second seed, because I'm guessing the last thing you want if you're a lower seed is to have to go to Green Bay and play a playoff game the end of January, right, and put it off as long as you can. You know, if it's the NFC title game, then fine, that's what you got to do. But don't

have to play them in the second round. Well, we pray for global warming, right, yeah, you have to maybe double off your prayers that way, Green Bay might be sunshine because what's the NFC title game? Will be the last weekend in January. Yes, so there's two weeks between that and the Super Bowl. But right now, right, yeah, yeah, right, that's a very good point, excellent point. So yeah, all right. This is from SRMO Big cat O two on Twitter.

He tweeted at me, I've only just started watching the mix Shots pod, but I gotta say, your genuine affection for Everson Walls really shines my heart, you see my heart genuine genuine effects. Ever, does it look like I don't like him? No? No, what I'm thinking is at least my genuine affection for Mickey does not shine. But yeah, he must, he must. He must not not like Wall, That's what it is. I don't not not like him. Somebody's got to be a punching bag. You're good size,

all right. So I noticed a football team on the football field out the doors here at the start of day, and it wasn't the washing. Football team was a light practice going on. So he's still trying to make sure that he doesn't wear them out too soon. They'll go pads tomorrow, the last PAD day for the year. I think they got one more after If he uses one tomorrow, then he's got one more. They own is a scheduled longer practice tomorrow, so absolutely it's possible they might go

ten more minutes to saw it. We saw Tyring he was doing rehab today, so he at points in that rehab he was moving pretty well, but you know he's still got that that bone spur is not going to dissolve on its own, right, so they're just trying to manage it. I saw A Pollard and DeMarcus Lawrence on the chords early, but it's like a walkthrough practice, so they looked like they were going to practice, and um they started the COVID designated for a return for Donovan Wilson,

who's missed I think the last four games. T J Vasher, who's been out there working his butt off since the beginning of the season rehabbing. And how about this, because I just asked about this, Josh Ball. You remember Josh Balls round draft choice, big fellow, big six eight to tackle.

They started him back too, So what I'm guessing with him maybe all three And I don't know if Wilson I think Wilson's kind of closer ready, But that's just more bodies to practice when you don't have to wear out the guys that are who are going to play. So it's like walk ons, you know, and it's yeah, well it's basically it's been like a red shirt year

for josh Ball. And so three weeks left in the season and you have a three week window of opportunity for him to practice, right, so you see him out on the practice field for three weeks and then you can decide if you need you know, if he got somebody else on the offensive liner on the team that gets hurt, and you can say, okay, you get into the playoffs, well we'll put him on the fifty three

and he can continue practicing. So which is and the reason I was thinking of Josh Ball it was on Tuesday when Jerry was talking about Tyrn Smith and he was asked, you know, is it time to replace him? And his answer was basically, I'll take all of Tyrn I can get for however much he's available, and then our job is to make sure we have a credible backup swing tackle and that has to be our priority. And I'm thinking, well, they used the fourth round pick

on this guy. You know it is a red shirt year for him, but you know they got to find out what he is before you say, okay, I got to get another tackle next year. And he was playing decently in training camp before he got hurt. So I'm guessing you know you don't give up on a fourth round pick. So it was funny that I was asking questions at him yesterday and then today they got him back on the practice field although they're but he won't, No, no,

they won't, but they haven't forgotten about all season. He won't. Uh, let's see what else. Um, you know, everybody else was out at practice for what they were going to do today. I would imagine they'll project some of those guys like Pollard limited, um. But yeah, all hands on deck. Parsons

was working with the linebackers. They have to compensate now with the two coaches missing Matt Daniels assistant special teams coach, and John Fossil said something very interesting on on Monday, pointing out that you know, do you need help with special teams? And he goes yeah, and he goes, I think I'm gonna use C. J. Goodwin because he prepares so well, so he can help he can help me

with the preparation during the week. And then from the defensive line, Um, we just found out that leon Let's back in the building and he's actually he's actually gone to the last two games in the and he's been in the coach's box, so he can help out a little bit. They're having virtual meetings, so there's nothing you know in person. And then let's not forget dan Quinn is likely the off defensive line coach. Not only is

the coordinator, but he's the defensive line coach. And if you watch the pot of practice we get to watch, he's rarely with the linebackers or the secondary he's working with the defensive line. So that'll continue. Just have to make compensation on on game day for Aiden dirty uh not being if they but there's a chance both of them could test back in in time. So anyway, that kind of gets you up on up to date on

the roster, I believe. Okay, and how about when we come back here on Mick Shots, I've got an update on some of the Washington injury situations. Is Ron Riverez having his press conference? Okay, we speak here in the last hour he had a press conference, and so I've got some updates on some of their availabilities for Sunday nights game, which will be here quicker than you think, which means Christmas is going to be here quicker than you think, and the next Mickey Reid will be here

after this time out. Hey Cowboys fans, ready to spice up your next watch party, Bring Yokiero guacamole and be the game day hero. be revealed tonight. Washington. Ron Rivera had his day after game press conference here within the last hour, and of course Washington dealing with numerous COVID issues that you know about, starting at the quarterback position where Garrett Gilbert got the start last night, just five days after being signed off

the Patriots practice squad. They had a couple of significant injuries in their secondary in last night's game won their cornerback William Jackson, also the safety Landon Collins, who of course had a pick against the Cowboys and also had a pick last night. And Rivera says, yeah, Jackson, Jackson and Collins sounded encouraging, But they're getting MRIs on their injuries, and Jackson's was what they're described ascribing as a sprained achilles,

So huh and uh. The fact they're getting MRIs would tell me, and they're playing and their schedule to play a game again on Sunday night would tell me they are likely probably going to be out for Sunday night, wouldn't you think? Okay, and get any COVID updates. They've got Cornelius Lucas tackle cleared protocols, and they should get more answers on others soon, including one of their quarterbacks.

So there's or Kyle Allen. Yeah, how about Garrett Gilbert though, I mean, here's a guy that you know and and think about Garrett Gilbert. What the what has happened with his career because of the pandemic right last last year, he would not have even been on it. If there

was a normal year. He wouldn't have been eligible to be on a practice squad with Cleveland, which is where the Cowboys picked him off of last year, right only due to the relaxed practice squad rules due to COVID and so he got picked up and then he had his opportunity to start, which because of Andy Dalton and his COVID positive tests, it's the only game that he started. Yeah,

the only game he started in the NFL. And now this year he's for fifteen weeks on the practice squad and he is then picked up five days before a start before well it was actually two days before the scheduled game, and then he got pushed back a couple of days. So he had and he won three days with the team because they explained last night he got to call Thursday night at home. Yeah, so he had to. I don't know what he was doing that. The story was his wife told him, man, your phone's blown up.

You've had twenty five phone call, and that was you know, Washington trying to get a hold of him. And so so he probably doesn't get there till Friday, maybe gets to practice Friday Saturday. I would think he's probably first flight out Friday morning. He got there. Yeah, quickly, good, quick as he could. You know. The news broke on Friday, right before we were taping the Mike McCarthy Show, and so I told Mike, I said, hey, Washington just signed

Gary Gilbert off the Patriots practice one. His first reaction was, well, you know what, he can go right in there and play because he's been with that staff before, he was at Carolina Lina before, and so you know, and you think of it in his mindset as he's on the Patriots practice squad this season, well, what if there was a COVID outbreak elsewhere? He was probably in his mind thinking, okay,

I could get picked up by another team. Okay, and in all likelihood, one of those teams would be a team that I've been with before, which would be about eight teams in the league, you know. And if they could have protected them, they couldn't protect him. It was almost every time he threw a ball if it wasn't an immediate dump offers. Well, that gets back to their injury and COVID issues. On their offensive line, they only

had two starters. They're they're the left side of the line where they're basically they're regular starters, but Brandon Sheriff was out, and you know, their center, Neville Gallimore took care of the center the week before Land was Larson Tyler Larson's and uh. And then their right tackle, Cornelius Lucas was out too, and so they were missing three starters on their and some of those guys weren't really starters. They were phill ins for guys that they had lost

earlier in the year. They were like the guys off the street. Yeah. So, and then they lost their running back to last night's game. Antonio Gibson got right too. So anyway, and they got a play on a Gibson is a beast man. I don't know if I wanted them out there. He gives them a chance. Yeah, he definitely gives anybody a chance. All right. And so Pro Bowl votingild tonight. I think there's several candidates off this team, so off the top of my head, obviously Trayvon Diggs.

He was one of the top five vote getters. Um, Michael Parsons, I thought that was ever what do you think? Maybe it is just half an eat. I gotta go with Zack Martin. Yeah, yeah, there he goes. Yeah, that was approved. Okay, Um, one of the running backs will make it, and it Poller's not I think as a special team's contributor. Maybe kickoff return for kickoff. And now they already got Jachim Grant. Oh that's right. I don't know how many you get there? Um, No, Vandy Gregory.

I don't know if he played enough. How many games did he miss? Three? He missed the opener and then he missed four I think four games. And DeMarcus Lawrence hadn't played in right, Yeah, so did I say Michael Parsons? Yeah, we would, you know, you know who should have an opportunity. I don't know if people will recognize it as jay Ron Curves. He's at a heck of a year. That's a very good one. Yeah, that's a very good one.

But no ding from Chris. And here's one that that might This one might sneak up if the people, like the coaches and players are voting. Um, and I just want to make sure I can get this right. Um. Brian Anger, he's leading. Yeah, man, he's leading the limit uh in net punting and his net he's been having some duels with forty three three and if he keeps up at that pace, he's going to set the Cowboys single season record. He's also averaging forty forty eight that

has him sixth now in the league. But if anybody was watching on Sunday, he put five punts fair caught inside the ten dealing with that win. Right, So he's very quietly had one heck of a year. Um and you know three did they calculate like return yarder or anything? I don't, Well, that's perfect, that's part of the Okay, that's part of the net. And and it's like Fossil was saying, we don't care about gross punting. We worry about net, and we worry about how much is returned.

So it looks like return yards for him is one hundred and fifty four. And I'm just looking real quickly here for guys that had like fifty or more punts, and it's not in order. I just gotta scan it. But it doesn't look like anybody's had less than one fifty four with that many punts. So yeah, I think you got to consider him. Okay, who who are your three NFC quarterback quarterbacks? Well it's gonna be Rogers, probably Stafford, I think, so Brady considered Brady. Yeah, but but Brady's

down here, we're deck. I was just looking at at the at their rating their rating points. Okay, if you look at passing yards, Brady has more passing youghts. Yeah, more touchdowns too, if I'm not miss taking. Oh does Mahomes out touchdown? He has more touchdowns. But they were talking a NFC. Yeah, Brady's got four thousand, three hundred and forty eight yards passing, thirty six touchdowns, eleven interceptions. How many touchdowns thirty six? Think he might make it?

I think he might make it. Three um, and I'm trying to think that there's anybody else hits played. Okay, so you got you have Brady, Rogers and Stafford and anything who knows something that they might have voted for Kyler Murray. And then let's let's just to be fair. Cousins has been bawling. He really has. What was the stat the other night he had got more touchdown passes

and like eight straight wes. He's been bawling. Guys. I'm sorry, as long as he doesn't play at night nine and they actually Gooffalo was yes, and it's been play well. Cousins has twenty nine touchdown passes. Six interceptions. That's not bad at all, not at all, and Garoppolos at eighteen and eight interceptions. Rogers is only thrown three interseven ye have Dack's dak Is twenty five touchdowns, ten interceptions bad. His quarterback rating now is ninety eight point one. I

think it topped out at one. Fo. Okay, what NFC quarterbacks the rating? What are the top five NFC? Rogers, Stafford, Murray, Cousins, Garoppolo, Brady and Wilson, and then Dakka that's their quarterback rating. Um. I was just trying to see the touchdowns, So I said, Rogers got thirty, Stafford's got thirty five, I've Brady's got thirty six, Cousins twenty nine, and then dak with twenty five. I don't think he'll make it. M I don't think he will. And I think they're looking for excuses all

the time anyway too. You know, anyone with a stall in the helmet, I think that they. I know the one I was going to bring up, what about Schultz? I was just wondering that myself. NFC as a tight end. They've got them. I'll make sure they don't have targets here. Before I receptions. Uh, he's tips. He's tied for sixteenth with sixty one catches amongst tight ends. No, no, overall,

just hang on, let me look for tight ends. Yeah, Kittle, Kittle has sixty three, okay, and the only tighten Schultz has. How many sixty one? Sixty one? Kittle hasty three with six touchdowns and He's got sixty one with five touchdowns. How many yards for both of them? Six to fifty one for Schultz and Kittle eight fifty. What happened to pitts m Well, he's a rookie nineteenth fifty eight catches, eight hundred and forty seven yards, one touchdown, that's all.

Schultz is right in there, so he's kind of in there. If they look at stats, right, I think I think they'll look at the thing about the Cowboys offense. They always want to make excuses for the system itself. Well, the system, you know, that's why Dak is doing this, and that's why Schultz is catching all these passes because of the system. So that's what they're going to base it on. And you know there's only two non wide

receivers ahead of him in receptions. Leonard Fournette has sixty nine and then Kittle with sixty three and then show they had that many. Yeah. Oh they dumped the ball. Yeah, definite help your your QB rating, H Brady H. So, yeah, I don't know, he's you know, he's been productive in big games. It's not like he's got padded catches. And they are going to play the game this year in Vegas. They are playing it. Yeah, there is Okay, so there will be alternates getting into that's true. Yeah, so maybe

Zeke makes us an alternate. I mean bad door gets wide open for wide receivers. I mean and you name it. You know what. Somebody was telling me about votes and a lot of time and we talked about it. I think I don't know if you it was here yesterday or day before the Cowboys that was yesterday. That was yesterday about how the fans had the Cowboy fans because you have to register, like which team or whatever, the Cowboys fans had the second most votes behind the Chiefs.

I think that's what it was. Let me throw this out there. On wide receivers, I'm just looking through the list of wide receivers. I'm just going by receptions here, Cooper Cup I'm just Okay, so NFC NFC wide receivers, Cooper Cup has one hundred and twenty two receptions fourteen touchdowns. Okay, all right. Chris Godwin, who's now hurt, ninety eight catches five touchdowns, that's two. Davante Adams is third ninety six

catches eight touchdowns. Justin. Jefferson is fourth with eighty nine catches nine touchdowns, and then the next NFC guy is DJ Moore at seventy eight catches four touchdowns. That's fifth, and then sixth is CD at seventy catches and six touchdowns. So CD's not far off when you just look at FC. Yeah, there's a lot of AFC and CD is seventeenth in the league in receptions with seventy and so he's sixth

among NFC. So you got eleven AFC wide receivers in there, or or just receivers tightens and you know who had a lot of votes for center the honest he did? Yeah? Did he? I think he might have been the leading He was up I don't know if he finished there, but he was he was up there. Yeah, that's crazy. What team does he play for? Cowboy America's team? to the SEC? Yes, because if they were in if they were in the SEC when he was there, no Big Eight, I like you guys in the Big Eight? Yeah that were good. Yeah, Cordell Stewart. They made it to the SEC championship game early on. Oh my bad, never made number fifteen. Right? That Phil's right. I used to like Missouri. Poor guy had to play as a fresh one. Pete Woods was the senior starter and got hurt. This was the first year I covered him for the

Columbia Tribune. Got hurt in the first game, and he became the first black starting quarterback for the Remember great baseball player playing for Seattle, UM the Mariners. There was somebody else. He went to Baltimore, but uh left field, and I remember when he was coming out he got it was like, well, he can't hit home runs, he doesn't have any power. I said, yeah, but he can hit for three hundred, and he did, especially when he

was with ball. He grew up in south West Illinois, UM, same thing where I think it was where Western Illinois Universe, not Charleston, I can't remember. Okay, we're moving on. Let's move on. You need your Missouri history. It's game day. I wanted to see by the interceptions. I mean, let's call out the interceptions for for the Pro bowlers, the potential Pro bowlers. You're just moving on from my d you wanted to talk about. I wanted to talk about whatever it is I want. No, no, no, let's go

with you. Let's see. Well, I gotta look it up here, dig digs with I think Diggs leads, You think yeah, I think so. So you want NFC or NFL, NFC and NFL. Diggs leads the NFC with ten. Next is I can't say it or you Wiri Detroit with six. Wow, Piston with I mean Piston align with so si the digs just grow up to be cornerbacks because the third guy is Diggs Seattle with five. Then not right? I was like, okay, I was like, oh coege job can't

be well. No. I even thought that last night. I thought maybe McKinney is next with five, and then Murphy. There is no one close. Xavier McKinney is safe, yes, and then Murphy Arizona four, and then by the way, tied for sixth with three is Jordan Lewis and Anthony Brown. Wow, your boy know about it? What about afc um? So I'll do NFL Diggs's first, uh, Jackson New England with seven, Yeah, and then six with ou Ari and then Poyer Simmons digs,

uh Bayard, Davis McKinney with five. No, Davis Howard? Is it Davis Howard? Did I say his name right from the Dolphins because he led it last year? If I'm not mistaken, Oh, Howard Howard, He's ninth with UH four. So here's what I was thinking, because I was making a joking to myself last night, and I was like, Okay, if Diggs gets his twelfth or eleven interception or whatever in seventeen games, I'm thinking it on should be an asterisk,

right right, because he's seventeen game. If he did, if he does it on his seventeenth game, if he gets it in sixteen, if he gets in sixteen, it's cool. We're good. Then I started thinking, okay, well, when I got mine, I beat mel against Philly, and Mel's was in fourteen games. Let me get there, getting there? So okay, I got mine in week fifteen against Philadelphia because Week sixteen we played in New Jersey, freaking thirteen degrees win chill.

I'll never forget that, right, And they end up making to the playoffs. So I guess with my I should have an asterisk as well, because you played one more. I played one more, well, one more, because two more games I got them fifteen exactly. So it all goes back to mel renfro Asters nineteen sixty nine, fourteen games, ten picks and they ain't nobody throwing the ball. I ain't nobody throwing the ball, and this guy gets ten picks in nineteen sixty nine. I believe it was. I

just said all that just to give him pops. No one mentions his name, nobody's gonna yell Joe Namath and Joe Namath numbers in sixty nine were pretty pedestrians. Yeah, compared to what Diggs is facing, and even compared to what I was facing when I played Dorset, Riggs, Riggins, Peyton saying those guys, Billy Sims, those guys were the stars, George Rodgers, they were the star. So we weren't passing

the ball much back then either. But if you look at mel Renfro nineteen sixty nine, fourteen games, ten picks, that is pretty dog on impressive. So I said that to say that, and also right now, thirty one picks right, thirty one? Is it? Turnovers? A thirty one interception takeaway? Twenty three interceptions for the Cowboys. Oh they can't catch us, No, they can't catch us. As you had. We had thirty seven picks alone in in eighty five, there were like

fifty something takeaway. Yeah. Yeah, See I only looked at interceptions and I didn't even look at just turnovers themselves, takeaways themselves. So yeah, at thirty seven in nineteen eighty one, that's that's gonna be tough to beat. Would you like Joe Naiman's numbers from nineteen sixty nine, I would love them, Okay. In fourteen game season, they went ten and four. His completion percentage, what do you think it was? I bet it was about fifty six percent? Try fifty one percent. Okay.

He threw for two thousand and seven hundred and thirty four yards. He had nineteen nineteen touchdowns, tenceptions, try seventeen intersept Oh my god, the great jo and he's in the Hall of Fame. Uh dude, you can look at you could look at Greasie's numbers and still be a little bit surprised, no doubt, as they hold him and he he got into He got in the Hall of Fame because he won one game, one game the Super Bowl, the first one for the AFL'L. Greasie's numbers aren't calling

up for some reason. There's a Wi Fi issue apparently. Yeah, the time, they can't go that low nine. I can't get it back. Yeah, they can't touch. But that's my thing, though, Mero, when you just think about that year, I mean, you know, Tom Lager was just in heaven having a guy like that and being a fellow dB. I'm sure, Tom, And yeah, if I'm not mistaken, Adelie was there at that time. Have you come yet in sixty nine maybe seventy because

it was with the Super Bowl team. Yeah. Would you like to end with a quote from Michael Parsons, who met with the media as we share Michael Parsons on getting after quarterbacks with DeMarcus Lawrence, Randy Gregory, Neville Gallimore, et cetera. Quote, We're a lion pack. Now there is no more lone lion. It's the pride. Now everybody has got to get a piece of the gazelle. I love this guy. Oh god, I finished my mix SHOT's column with the last word when you won't get done. I

need to write that down. Man. That's that's pretty good, bro, Right, that's pretty good. I can't find anything that's pretty good. Bro It's like he's got something every week that's stuff that just I mean it, but it's accurate, accurate. That's just part of his DNA. I mean, it's just he's he says it well, and he says it colorfully. It's not like he rehearses it right. It's like, okay, now I would have to that's too good. He would have to The lion always eats because they are hungry. What

was it, the lions always hungry? And it's true right everything he says, there's no lie and we're a lion pack. Now there is no more lone lion. It's the pride. Now everybody has got to get a piece of the gazelle so the pride can go on. M there you go, all right, and there is your Pro Bowl starter Micah Parsons. We're gonna call it right here, right, that's right right, Yeah, we're calling it. Call it. He's starting it lying back lion byer. There you go. That's the new position. Yeah,

that's all them football player. I'm gonna start calling him lion. We just came up. Yeah, we're packing that right now. You heard it here on mix shots who said the first. Yeah, that's the new position in the NFL, the lion back. We need to get a new article birthday, right, you go right now? Man? The and uh, there needs to be a position for j Ron Curse to that position in the NFL. There needs to be better than big Nickel. Yeah, it needs to be. Yeah, we'll come up with that next.

But we'll go with lionbacker something all right, all right, we will talk at you again tomorrow. Here on mix Shots, No Cowboys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
