The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club Cowboys. This is Nick Shot screaming live on Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the official Dallas Cowboys at now. Here are Bill Jones, Everson Walls, and Nicky Spagnola. Go Dallas Cowboys. The senior the senior pros are older than the young pros. And here are

bugle blow. That's a that's an honor of the great cow That's a course the Cowboys still honor time I got playing the bugle for trumpet for the national anthem. But do you know back in the day, that's what they used to call the Cowboys when they first took over. No, they called him that pro team because college football was

so big. And I remember Frank Luxe to tell me when he was working at the Fort Worth Press Press right, uh press, he said, And he was kind of the young guy on the staff, and he said they came to me and said, uh yeah, we need somebody to cover that pro team. And it was almost like, Okay, you're not good enough to do college right, You're gonna go do the ProTeam right. And that's what they called it.

So and he volunteered. Yeah, he volunteered and so and he said, I had to make that long drive three times a week, right, because they had to go all the way from Fort Worth to Dallas. And so that is why Bob Lily became so popular and became mister Cowboy because he was on those that college team in Fort Worth TCU that everybody cared about in the fifties. And then he came to the Cowboys and that elevated.

He put the pro team on the map. Now, well, maybe we need to start paying attention to this ProTeam because the great Bob Milly there was almost like, okay, you know, you're not covering college. It just might be a little bit better than high school. You know, when you think about some of the great players come to Bob Lilly, it's a bunch of them's just like Bob. Why weren't they ever for the Heisman? You know, back then they couldn't even they wouldn't even consider thinking not

a defensive player. I mean, I'm sure he freaking dominated, right, Okay, I mean yeah, so you would imagine they could have done this a long time ago. But he didn't go to thirteenth pick in the first round, remember wow. Yeah, and there was only four there was there was only fourteen picks and he was thirteen. He was thirteen. Come on, now you're gonna look up that draft. Yeah. But that that that kind of you know, dispels what you just said, because obviously they didn't give it them bout to me

with thirteen out of fourteen. Yeah, yeah, so maybe maybe the name recognition once he got the in the st Ball it was a local thing. Yeah, he's a Texan, you know that I get and they and they didn't have to fly him in. They saved money, sort of the Larry Brown of program. You know, Bob never got there.

Well I guess he ended up getting read he deserved, but man, early on he just really here's a guy who did I was thinking about this this morning, and especially playing the Bears, and of course the Bears had Dick, Butkus was the premier middle linebacker Leroy Jordan never got I don't think at their respect he deserved um in his career, even with even the professional career. Yeah yeah,

yeah right. Uh And and it's a lot of them, Bill, and a lot of it for like for Leroy, I mean, how are you gonna make first team all pro if Dick buckis if you're if he's playing for the Chicago Bears, you know, and with his with your with your teammates themselves, right, and he wasn't even you know, Chuck Halley's going into the Hall of Fame. You know you got Chuck right, right? And uh, you know it took until Jerry bought the team for Leroy got into the Ring of Honor's right.

You know, Joe, did you find it? Oh, I'm looking at home. I don't get well. You know, you can look at all those old middle linebackers right that there were some pretty good ones. Tommy Noble's not getting any love, right, But when you were when you're with the team, and I can say this for a fact, and I was proud of it. When you're with the team with so many stars, man, you better sit back and wait your turn.

That's just all it is. Better just telling you I used to walk into places with Come on walking in place with Tony Dory, said Drew Pearson. You know what I mean? Come on? If I just started back, was it like who's that guy? Yeah? Yeah? And I loved it. I loved it because I had no pleasure on me they had to do all the things. I didn't have to do anything. And being a part of that two tall Jones, I mean, come on, Harvey Martin. Whoo who who was that little kid from from where? The way

it is? Because I think Leroy was like the fifth pick in the draft out of Alabama. I mean, oh he was high. Yeah. All right, so you're asking about the nineteen nineteen sixty one draft. Okay, Bob Lily was the thirteenth pick. As Mickey said, there are two other Pro Football Hall of famers who played for the Cowboys who were drafted ahead of him in that nineteen sixty one draft. The number five overall pick, speaking of these, said Chicago Bears was no, no, no, that's sixty five

played for the Cowboys. Just played for the Cowboys and the Chicago Bears fifth pick in the draft Mike did out of pit okay. And then well Jimmy Johnson was the sixth pick, but that's a different john that's the cornerback he played at UCLA, all right. And then the twelfth pick right before Bob Lily at thirteen the Green Bay Packers played for the Cowboys. Oh, Smu, no Forest Greg No, No, that's a great guests, great guest, but

cornerback her battle, her battle lego. There you go. So there's two of the players that were picked um one. Number one was Tommy Mason, half back from Tulane Rams, right, Minnesota Vikings. Oh that's right, who drafted him? Anyway? Yeah? And to relate it to Sunday, Darnell Mooney, the wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, went to Tulane. Okay, Nor Sneed was number two to Washington. Well how did Washington get the second and the third pick? Joe Rutgan is

a tackle from Illinois. Then Marlin McKeever of the Rams, and then did Kin and Tom Mattie went seventh. He was a good name, all right, There you go. Billy Kilmer went eleventh to San Francisco ahead of Bob Lilly r. All right, so there you go. All right, And now is Zeke going to play Sunday? Yeah? Only if he practices Saturday, and he hasn't practiced Wednesday or Thursday. So

we're that what you make? So are we going to get an email from the Cowboys or some light tweet from the Cowboys after practice on Saturday that informs us whether or not his game station. They'll probably do it after this show. Well normally on Friday. The game status if if, I mean it could be doubt if it's determined, you know, yeah, so yeah, what will he be termed today? Questionable or doubtful? Well, oh, that's right. The projection is Friday and it will be did not practice right, and

that projection would probably be doubtful. I think they would hold on to not out because I don't think you can list him is out and then Sunday he wants into McCarthy's office and go, I'm playing. I'm right. Yeah, there's a reason. There's a reason that they do that on Friday, So they could probably do doubtful. I think, yeah, okay, so if they could do questionable too, and he's still

right and uh so that would mean yes. If he doesn't, then Tony Pollard's the guy late Davis who, by the way, Chris just brought up his high school great high school stats, ridiculous, And then you might have to elevate a guy off the practice squad. I was gonna, I mean another guy Allison. Is that the guy's Quadri Allison Dree Allison who they picked up. He was a fifth round pick from Atlanta,

six one thirty two pounds out of pit. You remember Amy, I remember you talking about him Everson a rookie when yeah, he's he's been in the league, right, Yeah. And in fact with Atlanta last year he played in eight games, had twenty one carries one hundred and five yards. That's a pretty good average. Fact. Why why hadn't he been playing all year? Well, by the way, that would be twenty one more carries in the NFL than Malik Davis.

That's true. And I also just looked this up because I was kind of in the middle of writing my column for today. The most carries Tony Pollard has had in a single game in his career has been fourteen. He did it twice, once in twenty nineteen and once last year against the Tens. So now to expect him to get I guess twenty wouldn't be out of the question. But what if you needed twenty five? You know, that might be going a little bit over the top. What

if you need blitz protection. And that's another question you see not just from him, but from Malie Davis. So it's not just it's not that they don't want to do it, right, they don't know how to do it. And by the way, I said Malik Davis, I can't remember. I said he hadn't played yet. Yeah, I mean he has no NFL snaps yet, that's right, He's played on special teams. Yeah. So uh two games, the Philadelphia game in the Detroit game. I had fifteen special team snaps

against Philly and sixteen against Detroit, but no carries. So when you look at the Bears defense, they are strong, right, they really are. They have a good defense because their offense is really put them in some bad situations. So they are going to up the annie. If Zeke's not playing, you know, there's gonna be a lot more blitz coming, especially on the other side. Then you've got Dad who's just getting back. Now, the key to this, I'm bringing

it from Chicago. I'm gonna bring it. I have really I mean that that's still in the hunt in regards to the division. But this would be a game to what if I'm gonna win it and I'm going to be aggressive because the Cowboys don't like teams to come in and be aggressive, and this would be the book on it. This is a game Ebraflus has circled on his calendar, not because he has any disdained towards Dallas, but this is where he worked for a number of years. And so I mean you naturally look at the look

at the schedule and go there Dallas. Yeah, at six I like for us to play well six years. Six years. He was here from twenty eleven through twenty seven seasons, so seven seasons in Dallas. And if you go back and look, and and Eberflus was you know, he came with Rob Bryan, Okay, because he was at Cleveland with Rob Bryan before. So at three to four defense and then the course of Cowboys made the conversion of the four three and Marinelli kept him in Missouri before that.

I'm sorry, but so two different systems, okay, And really and eber Plus was the was the pass game coordinator defensively with Marinelli as a defensive coordinator his last couple of years here. But it didn't know he made a he had a big hand in what the Cowboys were doing defensively. But you know, my last two he was the pass game coordinator. Is there an echo in here? Did you just say? I was thinking, yes, you are.

I can't think multitask, but now that that my my, you know, it would have been a concern, But there's no there's no uh you know, there's no crossover. He wasn't really here when we had this offensive scheme that we have in not like he's accustomed to the way we do business. Well, I mean, well he was here when you know Dak's first two years in the league system. Well, yeah, because Winnahan and Garrett Yeah yeah, but Kellen Moore was all the teams they strayed very far from that. See, yeah,

that's that's a connection. Yeah, because that's a trend. You want to look at trends if you're gonna if you and he was here long enough to understand that he's got to control Dak Prescott. Yeah, he understands what Dak likes to do, even going back his first two years in the league. I mean, so there's some uh, it's going to be interesting. That's a different quarter back Froment's

first two years in the league. He is, and yet there's a lot of people and we've talked about it that in many ways, with what the Cowboys are defensively, much like the way they were when Eberflus was here in twenty sixteen, defensively, Uh they were pretty good. Uh yeah, and Dak was successful not having to do that much. And and we've talked about Dak could use going back to his roots a little bit and not rely more. Yeah others right, yeah, yeah, so no, they need him

to do more. Who are you relying on if if you don't have Zeke, not a Pollard? Right? I need him to start? Look, oh now, now Zeke matters. All I hear out there is that Pollard is so much better than zy Zeke even getting carries the beginning to choose who you hear from. He needs to go back to being Dak, and in this offense needs to be more efficient. I think it's a miracle that they are

five and two, averaging nineteen points a game. And guess what, the Bears are giving up an average of nineteen points a game. So this the Cowboys are scoring nineteen this game. Yeah, you're going on record. Oh no, there's money average nineteen Bears give up nineteen nineteen to eighteen? What average game? I just did it too, by the way, well we can figure it out real quick. I wanted to have your little stat sheet there that you gave to me earlier. This week and I've lost I want to say it

was like thirteen. Okay, let me well figure that out and then figure and then okay, here's your assignment during this break and figure out. Figure out what the Cowboys average giving up and what the Bears average scoring, and we're going to figure out the final score on Sunday. We got much more mix shots in just a moment. She's doing? Great? Oh yeah, totally. Can you pass me a Pepsi zero sugar? Great job, honey, Oh look at that. That's not the end, no way. Now

it's time for the encore. You know what, You're right? Five times not enough times for everyone who traded in rock concerts for their kids recitals. You've compromised enough Pepsi zero sugar. That's what I like. Nobody protects you from mayhem like all State. You hear that I'm a torrential downpour? Torrential? What does that even mean? Bears are averaging offensively how many points? Eighteen eighteen? And the Cowboys are averaging

how many offensively? N nineteen? Okay, so I said nineteen eighteen off top of my head. All right, and so and the Cowboys are averaging giving up thirteen? You say, oh is that? What is that said? Well? Give me the Bears defensively The Bears are defensively giving up nineteen. Right, Yeah, that's what you said. That's what you said. All right, all right, So somebody's going to score nineteen points in this game? Okay, Everson? What's on your mind as we

head into this game against the Bears. You know, you guys give me pause. Man. You know when you used to are talking about Zeke being out, that really does change the whole you know, outlook, at this game as far as how we attack the game plan, how we use it. We're playing right into the Bear's hands, you know, because they are a good defensive team. But what really concerns me. I am not worried about the running backs in this game, even though they do lead the league

in rushing. I do worry about justin fields scramble situations. I worry about his ability, especially doing the hectic parts of the game. We're tired. This guy's back there, he's in great shape. He gets beat up every week, and he still comes back and runs very well. And those runs make a difference in the end of ball games, and they move the chains. That's when we get in trouble defensively, is when we allow the offense to move the chains and his scramble ability, that can happen very easily.

He's a running back basically way I mean, he's not like this frail quarterback that's got a scamper around right. He probably could have played running back. He could have receiver sixty three two twenty eight pounds. Yeah really ran yep and he uh that's prototype size. Uh And he ran a four four one on his pro day. Will McClay I think as will As told me yesterday that, yeah, he was at his pro day and he clocked a

four four one. Maybe it maybe maccarthur told me that, so you you might have to have two spies on this time, might not have one one, might not be enough hurt. That's by design. Those runs are by design. I don't believe recalled the Bears doing any quarterback drawers or anything like that. All you see is when when he makes his yards, it's always from a scrambled situation.

It's not like Jalen Hurts. Actually, this last game, they had a couple of calls they did quarterback runs against They had one and Will McClay he tellustrated it on the Mike McCarthy Show, which you can watch eleven thirty on Saturday nights across the Dallas all across the Dallas Cowboys Network party posted on Dallas Cowboys dot com. There was one play in particular where the Patriots had They did everything you would want to do as far as containing a quarterback, and he was able to slip out

and get a sizeable game. Um, you know, if we don't put it out, if we don't put it put some distance between those point wise. That's right, and that's what you were talking about with debt, because if you score points, you make these other teams play out of character. Right. They got to play catch up and they got to take chances, and that exposes their weakness. They don't they they they played to their defense. We've been talking about this all season. They actually catered to their defense and

to their running game. And so if you I'll take care of it, Yeah, it will take care of you. Yeah. So that's how you how you play better defense, score points, situation. Well, let me go here, then let me give you the complete engine. Yeah. Day Yeah, there were a couple of editions yesterday. So Micah Parsons was listed as limited with a shoulder. Now, he came out a little bit late after the stretch, but he had his pads on. So limited means he didn't do everything, but he was capable

of being out there. Uh So uh McCarthy said, I foresee him practicing Saturday. Yeah, so that's a good sign. Uh. Sam Williams did not practice. Um, he had a knee right yea um, and he said that he has a chance to practice on Saturday. So that's a good sign. Hooker was in rehab. He said, if we had to practice today, Hooker would still be in rehab, So that

doesn't sound very promising. And then Noah brown Um was listed as out with a foot injury and he was not in pads yesterday, and the best Mike could say about him is he's progressing, doing well. We'll see on Saturday. So that not only complicates the offense, but it also means what happens on special teams, right, because he's the personal protector, by the way, and so then you would have to replace him there, and that's kind of a

significant spot. So that would mean if he can't go, and Jalen Tolbert is up, yeah as your third, right, and then Michael Gallup can't get zeroed out or one catch, you know, he'll be a more integral part in the passing game, which I still think they need to be more efficient. You know. It's one thing for Dak to say, hey, I just want to win. If that means throwing the

ball twenty times or whatever, that's what we'll do. But I think to continue winning, they got to be able to be more efficient throwing, and especially in this game without Zeke. Yes, yeah, tell you what I like the Bear secondary and a couple of them are rookies back there, and they both had picks in the last game against New England. And the corner Kyler Gordon was a second

round pick thirty ninth overall out of Washington. And the free safety Jikuon Brisker, free safety strong safety, the intermix him and Eddie Jackson and the veteran back there. But Brisker was also a second round pick. He taken nine picks later. Uh, and he's been really impressive. He's out of Penn State. Was he the one that had the pick off the wire that maybe he did? Yeah, because Gordon had the one. Um Gordon had the one where Zappi threw behind the receiver the left flat right and

his was the one that went way up with one hand. Ye. And Roquan Smith had the other interception the middle linebacker who's really good. So they're good, so do Knox. Yeah they are. They're up third, third in the league in picks. They got eight interceptions on the season. Don't go to sleep on the Bears. And Jalen Johnson their other corner who was a second round pick in twenty twenty out of Utah. I really liked him coming out of the draft,

and he's been hurt and he came back. He played the last couple of games against Washington and New England. UM and Eddie Jackson has been a ballhawk going back to Alabama. I mean, so yeah, they're uh, I mean, we can say three, you can throw the ball against them. But you know what are they against the run? Thirty? That was Detroit, No, I mean Chicago is they're they're pretty good against it right now Chicago Chicago Bears are twenty ninth, tied for twenty ninth against the run, but

their third in in pass right twelfth overall. Oh, this was the one that stuck out their twenty eight offense and thirty second passing offense and number one Russia go offense every so you can see what they're doing there. Came doing two the running game and to the defense and keep the game, to keep the game game intact until we allow them to make a mistake. So this

has to which is why New England did. This has to be a breakout game for this team on third down that they are able to continue drives, keep the all and their biggest problem, as McCarthy pointed out, is their third You know, it's one thing you say, Okay, I want I don't want to get in third and long. He said, they're one of their stats that has to improve is third in two to five. They haven't been consistent about because they had a bunch of short ones.

That's bizarre world. Usually it's the other way around. They had a bunch of short ones in this last game, and they didn't convert. Yeah, which also would tend to keep you from gambling on fourth down and going for it. Right, But it's such a small sample size. I know as far as the Cowboys are concerned with Dak at quarterback, right, I mean, Dak played against Tampa Bay and he played against Detroit and so that there, I mean, as good

a job as Cooper Rush did. It's a different team with Dak at quarterback, or at least I hope it wasn't different enough in this last game. Has been was the problem? Although I don't know those Well, here's the other thing. If okay, even take the last game, that last drive of the first half, they drove its seventy yards down field and then Noah Brown got flipped and fumbled, right, I mean, if they score a touchdown, on that drive, okay, and not and don't fumble and give it up at

the three yard line. What was the final score? Twenty four? They scored thirty one points in that game, right, so they were on drave and it was a slow start. We could also say, well, you know, if the if the Lions would have finished the drive, finished the drive, then they're not gonna give to give the ball away five times because they're not gonna be having to throw

the football. You know, if they if they take the lead at thirteen to ten in the fourth quarter, that game can play up would would play out entirely differently. So they were right. They were three of nine this past game against Detroit on third down, Philadelphia four of ten. So that means they're seven of nine teen in the last two games. And prior to that, five of fifteen, five or fifteen, five of thirteen, three of ten, three of fifteen haven't been good. Hello, that is it says?

Yes they are? Okay? You asked offensively third down percentage in the league, they rank thirtieth. The Cowboys did. Cowboys ranked thirtieth in the league and third down thirty two point two percent. You got to be better than that. You gotta beat forty. Yeah, and we we've said it many times. We're able to survive all of those inadequate numbers because we have a hell of a defense. And the one time the defense gave up twenty six points, they got beat. Yeah. Right, guess what. Guess what the

Bears are defensively on third down? What what they? What do they rank? Probably fifty, they rank thirtieth. They ran thirtieth league defensively on third down. Yeah, that's crazy. The numbers really don't add up. No, it's so it's the movable object versus the resistible force on third down. They don't want to move, they are resisting, but they're thirty seven of ninety one on third down. It says here

that's their off offense. Our offense is right. The defense is giving up forty six point six percent, right, which ranks thirtieth. I wonder how many of those first downs on third down came from a scramble on their offensive? Yeah, that's true. Okay, Mickey's gonna look that up. When we were come back here, scramble first downs? We paid how much for those lessons? She's doing great? Oh yeah, totally. Can you pass me a Pepsi zero sugar. Great job, honey,

Oh look at that. That's not the end, no way. Now it's time for the encore. You know what, You're right? Five times not enough times for everyone who traded in rock concerts for their kids recitals. Of course, we appreciate the voice of the cowboys. Brad Sham joining us yesterday and going to the archives, and why we have to work that one. Uh, you know what he was talking about, Bob Thomas as a steam statsman for decades rest in the businesses. That's right, Bob did uh. Actually, Sir Douglas Barriclow tweeted out the cow bite of the day, which it was Brad talking about his call. And you know, Emmett needed nine yards on the play, and he wasn't sure whether he got the

yardage needed for the record or not. Anyway, but Bob saw that, and he actually tweeted out a picture he still has. Looks like it's even looks like it's a napkin, but where he wrote down the number eleven and and Bob and his tweet said he needed nine and got eleven, and so that was the reference to he got eleven. So they were waiting for how many yards Emmett's gonna get on this on his next carry, and so quickly Bob gave him eleven. Okay, and then and so he

did the call. So Bob said he needed nine, got eleven and then parentheses and lost one. On the next play he went back not two, yeah, minus one. Okay, so he never it was never he never lost he give it back. Yeah, And he says, this is the note I wrote to Brad at the time, which was the picture of the number eleven, and he read he kept it and and at the bottom of the note, Okay, it's all tattered right now. At the bottom of the

note it's said it said for sale on eBay. Ye, so later he said the eBay comment was added after Yeah, there was no eBay. Probably there might have been. But at some point I guess Bob Thomas at least thought about selling it on eBay. That might be at the pro shop tomorrow. I mean it, you know, just that. Yeah, that's that brag about it. That's it. I guess he didn't get it and then then sell it. I guess

he didn't get the value. But maybe with the twenty year anniversary, maybe Bob Thomas can benefit from Bob, you need to get to the pro Shop in grape Vine Mills one somebody. Yep, all right, it's about time for our picks to click and our winner on Sunday at noon at at and T Stadium. Won last week? Nobody, nobody. I had Browns with two tds. You had, well, Turpentine terpen you had twenty six nineteen spacks, and you said,

Turpentine will get off. What did I have? You had twenty four to sixteen and Polock will get a hundred? How many points? Scowboys score? Twenty four? How twenty eight? I'm sorry they played? They scored twenty four and I said, what twenty four sixteen? I don't get any credit for twenty four sixteen? No? Do I get credit because I was too over? What What did you have? I had Browns with two touchdowns and Cowboys two seventeen and he almost got almost had one? All right, So what are

you gonna do this week? This week? I am so confused. You know, we don't have Zeke in there. Well, I think I think he's gonna play. I really think he's gonna play. Having to make those moves, it's gonna be tough. This is gonna be a game. What's gonna have to lay on Dak's shoulders? I gotta I gotta give it to Dak. You know, he's gotta be the guy. He's gonna have to make He's gonna have to throw at least two touchdowns and I'm looking at him to throw

for over two hundred plus yards coming out party. He's gonna have to and it's not gonna be. To me, that's not pretty. I think it's gonna still be a grind. I think the third downs are gonna have to work. I think the emphasis that they have on that is gonna be good because that's what Dak did all last year. The third downs are gonna be be do well. All we have is CD. To me, CD's gonna have to play well. Just seems he just doesn't seem to be back with yet. I don't see the confidence that's in that.

I think it's the mentality just trust steam the knee, because those guys were jumping his routes. Man, his routes would not crisp. That was against Philadelphia, not crisp at all. He just doesn't seem to have the confidence right now that he needs to have. And maybe that's because he hadn't gotten enough tries down the field right where he can really show what he's doing. Because remember it was the Giants game. I believe it was was the Giants

before Philly. Yes, yeah, yeah, he was cleared medically and then he was like on Saturday. I don't know, so yeah, he just he just doesn't didn't look right. Uh the entire game. They to jump his routes like that. That just doesn't happen very often for any type of wide receiver. So I'm gonna go with Dad getting two touchdowns and over two hundred plus yards. I'm gonna look at Ceedee. Lamb's gonna be a good, a good guy. But I'm going with Dad, and I think the score is gonna

be a tough score. Guys, just yeah, why not? Why? Why about the trend? I'm gonna go nineteen nineteen eighteen, I'm gonna go nineteen thirteen? How about that? Nineteen thirteen, nineteen thirteen, nineteen thirteen? Okay, like that making you going next? I'll go next? Um, I am going twenty six seventeen, Cowboys. You did that? Okay, I'm sorry, go ahead, I did it.

I might have done it. No, No, I knew I heard it before I heard nineteen yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, twenty six seventeen, and my click is going to be Michael Gallup is back. Michael is bad. He's gonna have to be God, He's gonna have to I said, See, he's gonna have to show up, you say, Michael, Michael Gallups gonna which, by the way, was that who Dak was thrown too over the middle in that triple coverage that almost got intercepted might have been over the middle.

You remember it was a kind of en route. I just wrote down triple coverage. It were an exclamation point and the question mark right. You know. Dak was asked about that. He had a he had a very interesting answer. I had it somewhere he said. Somebody said, did you have too much confidence in yourself? And he goes, no, he goes, that's where I wanted to go with the ball. And he goes and he kind of said, you know, everybody else has to do what they have to do.

By the way, so he wasn't taking full blame for throwing it. So he's saying the route, the route wasn't run well. And he didn't say that one in particular, but he said some of those that everybody said, oh you had, you know, you were forcing it in there, and he was going, no, he goes, that's where I was supposed to go with the ball. Once he gets that bad foot down, right, then you better be where you're supposed to be. So spacked you were twenty six seventeen, Yes,

twenty six seventeen. It's eight offensive explosion for the got you okay? If Zeke we're playing and was at full health? Okay, which good still if he was at full health, Okay, I got the Cowboys thirty to nothing. Well you laugh, right, yeah, because that's not happening. So that's why I'm laughing. I'm waiting on you know, reality is step in all right, Um, let me give you my pick to click. Okay, Cavante Turpin, he's gonna finally break one the one time I don't

pick them, he'll do it. He's gonna finally break one against Devin Hester's team. Okay, right, oh, very good against Devin Devin Uster's number was what twenty three? Yes? Okay? That Cowboys scored twenty what's Cavante's number? Nine nine nine, twenty three nine? My final score? I got it, baby, I got And by the way, I found that's doable. I found Dak's quote when he was asked about those throws, and he said, I felt like they were there. They were aggressive, but I felt like the ball was where

I wanted it to be. Okay, can I give you another pick to click to? Okay you want to, I've got a second pick to click. And he's gonna have limited snaps, but we're we're gonna like what we see out of this guy. And it's the newest cowboy. Jonathan Hankins. Somebody that's one of the keys. Oh wait a second, if you were yes, if you oh whoa? What a second? Whoa? Looks of this? I just I just saw this. I literally said that before I saw this from a viewer

listener in Frisco. Nate in Frisco. Pick to click, Jonathan Hankin shutting down the run of the Bears. Right, Nate in Frisco. I swear I did not see her came up. You would not look at your phone. Uh yeah, there you go. And I tell you what. Talking with Mike McCarthy last night after the oil actually on the Coaches Show, which you can see at eleven thirty on Saturday night. Um,

he's really excited about Jonathan Hankins in the building. Oh yes, yes, well he talked about him today, Like you know, I've always had one of these guys and he goes in. You know, we were you know, losing Ridgeway was a was a huge thing which we talked about earlier this week. Yeah, because they wanted that. You know what, and he could be your pick to click without tackles if he can just luck up the middle and allow the linebacker. The key on whether he is he clicks or not, Yeah,

is how much rushing yardage do their running backs have? Right? Okay, because and I put an asterisk by that pick to click only because it's your second choice, yea, or its Nates first. Because they're averaging of them. They're averaging one one a game, okay, using the ball. So the addition of Jonathan Hankins could that get him to one thirty one? And see, the thing is when you see these rushing las, they don't necessarily run up the middle. Yeah, they're not

running right over the center and in the guard. They're running off tackle. But but if that guy can keep the offensive lineman from getting down field, there you go. Then you got a better chance for your linebackers to itself. All right. So there you have it. We've got it covered, and Nate's coming. So we got to go next week. Yeah to Monday, we review this and then did you not get the email? I did. That's why I'm asking about next week. You you you're on okay, a different show. Okay,

all right, so we will on Monday. We're exporting Everson Walls. All right, I know y'all get to stay together. Booth my ass out of here. Well they figured if it was mix shots, I should stay on mix shots. Good point, all right, and enjoy the game. Y'all have appearances? Yes tomorrow QUI omni next door? Okay, one fifteen, one fifteen to usually around two o'clock, and I'll do I'll be doing the rally day at the stadium tomorrow. Is I hope it's indoors? Yes, it is underneath and everything. Oh

big time about that. Well, I'll have to show you how to park underneath you. Oh thank tomorrow? All right? That does it? Or another week of mix shots. Enjoy the game on Sunday and we'll chat at you again Monday noon. Go Cowboys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
