The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Cowboys. This is Nick shot screaming live on Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the official Dallas Cowboys at now Here are Bill Jones, Everson Walls, and Nicky Spagnola. Go Dallas how Boys, stand stand beside the down of the Cowboys. I was never cowboy minded. What do you mean cowboy mind? I never had boots. Oh you know what I mean. I didn't have around stampede. Yeah,

hang around the farm. My dad did. But I didn't hang about the farm. I didn't even hard to go to East Texas. I was just a brother from the city. I was the same way growing up in Irving. You know, I thought a cowboy hat was a cowboy helmet, right, I'm just saying I thought I thought a cowboy had had a star on it. Actually, my relatives, based on my mom's side, they rolled horses and black cowboys. They got the hats and and I did not get into

that at all. It just didn't interest me. Man, that's crazy. But you know what cowboys that I'm listening to, that stamping its sides. It took me right back to the Ice Bowl. I started feeling some frost spike there. Yeah, it's a Cowboys and the Packers inside the SUBC podcast studio on a fabulous frigid football Friday, brainy Friday. It is, It's gonna get more frigid. Yes. By the way, we need to thank the veterans y Veteran's Day. Who has uh family in the service? Not currently? My father was

in the service. Was two uncles lost his life in the service. Oh man, that's crazy. My dad, my nephew flew and he you know, how are they get out? And and he you know, just flies? Uh commercial commercial? Yeah, dad was actually a pow really yeah, how long from January through April? And you well how were you? No? No, I will before the World War two? Going back, this was this was the Big War. Yeah, yeah, came out

ninety five pounds. Wow. Wow. Well, uh, it started off in France and I think it might have migrated to Germany. They moved him, yeah, like at night so they couldn't see. They put him in box cars and he was able to tell you these stories later. Finally he didn't like him. He didn't like talk. Yeah, and a lot of others, I mean I they did. With the little town in Florida where he was living. They had a like a

World War Two veterans celebration every year and uh. And it was real small town and the newspaper would come and interview the different guys. So they interviewed my dad and I'm reading the story and I'm going, how come I never heard that? It's like one of them. They asked him what it was like. So he landed on Omaha Beach d Day two, so June eighth, not the sixth, and uh. They said something. They asked him a question, what's your first thing? You remember when you landed on

Maha Beach? And he said, well, we got in the water and we had to try to take the beach and it was pretty secure, but not and he goes, the guy next to me got his head blown off, and I'm going, what about me? Yeah, in all these years and I got to read it in a paper, Dude. They have that kind of thing to where you can get something out of them that they just didn't ever

tell their family. They didn't talk about it. You know, it was just an accepted thing that you know, we fought in the war, and you know that's the way it was. My dad never talked much about nothing of it, but just how they how that generation is. He never talked much about this football career at all. I just saw a picture there. Never really it was like, that's normal. Don't talk like I know, I know my dad's on the podcast. Oh my, my dad did have a gift

to gather. I told you. You know he's from Louisiana Cajun. Yeah, and that was a great mix an Italian Cajun. Oh well yeah, they they they a lot of them migrated there. Yeah, coming in. That's good work down there. Man on the pier. His parents were from um from Sicily, from Palermo. Yeah. But so thank the veterans, yeah, service and everything you've done. Family in France. Yep. All right. So we got Cowboys and the Packers pack five on Sunday afternoon and picked

the click. I'm ready. Where were you watching the ice ball? Probably sitting up there watching a black and white TV. That's right. We would went through that already this week. Mike McCarthy on his birthday last night, fifty ninth birthday, he celebrated it by taping his TV show and had a new and a new and a new episode. How he celebrated. Yeah, okay, hey, why he's right because he was home alone. That's right. He kept talking about home alone because his wife and I guess the kids to

green Bay. I've already gone back. This is for the McCarthy family. This is the homecoming man. They probably have the homecoming moms and everything, right, forty or fifty's responsible for that's right, he said. Actually it was good. He goes like it was a peaceful, a peaceful evening, and I got a lot of good sleep because then I

have to worry about anybody else. And one of the things that he told me that it would be great for the team is because with the temperatures falling here in the Metroplex, when they work out tomorrow before getting on that charter for Green Bay, they will be able to simulate the weather in Green Bay, which will be in the thirties come kickoff, and it's supposed to be in the thirties tomorrow here. See, I was wondering if if he was gonna, you know, baby him, you know,

pamper them and just let them go. Well, I'll guarantee you the packers aren't practicing outdoors because they live there. Yeah, but they don't play you know, they only play half the season there. And he made it sound like they'll go ahead and do their workout tomorrow outdoors. So what what do you Packers? They I meant the Packers, right? Do you think that's necessary the Cowboys to get used to the weather. No, you don't. Never thought that. You

don't get used to the cold. You don't like that practice, you don't believe in that practice? No, I don't think. I think practicing is more important than getting used to the weather. Right, So, how snow? If you were the coach, tomorrow is going to snow on the other team, and I'll guarantee you the Packers aren't practice. Okay, if you're Mike McCarthy, yes, and we're going to set up practice for tomorrow before they get on that plane. How would you do it? Would you do it inside Ford Center

or would you do it outside? If it's just cold, I'm outside like today. If it's like today and it's raining, no, not rain no. And if it's windy, I'm indoors because the wind can screw up a practice faster than anything else. Right, I want to make sure everybody knows what they're doing. That's unusual. I thought you'd be on the other side of or about snows once again. So if it's snowing in Green Bay, we just happen to get the weather here and it starts snowing here, you're gonna practice out

in the snow, right right? No, no guarantee that. I see the I feel the sarcasm dripping from your lips. The packers, the packers don't go outside. Did you when it snowed in in New York? Did you guys go in? Damn right, I'm not indoors. We were doing well. You probably didn't have We didn't have it. Yeah. We were always in the meadowlands. We would practice. We would practice uh uh on the on the field, on the game field, in the stadium when the weather got bad because the

turf could was no good. Yeah. Yeah. But but now that they have an indoor facility, I guarantee you they go inside. That's just I thought you old school I am, but it's silly, right, It's like, I agree with you, but if it's one hundred degrees outside, if it's one hundred degrees outside, I'm not going to practice my team outside in one hundred degrees you know that's common practice, right, yeah, okay, it is common practice. Well they practice indoors when it's

one hundred degrees. Well, let's let's think about this Bill Belichick. Was it three years ago maybe four? He saw the guys walking to practice in the snow, right, because they had to play a game in the snow on set on Sunday. You remember that, right? And then what happens if a dozen snow and then you waste it's gonna snow. So I mean he made them Well, I remember seeing the video one of the guys upset. He had all this hoodie on and everything, and he's walking to practice

in the snow and he was masked. That Bill is making his practice in the snow to be accustomed to the to the then the game should be called off. You don't play baseball in the snow. That's good analysy. Well, I just think you know, oh, it's football. You got to play in the elements. Why there's no other sports that plays I wish you were around when I played. I tell you who plays in the elements. That's why

they when they have the Super Bowl, they don't. They normally don't play anywhere where the weather is going to be bad. Same thing with football. Well it's a silly thing, right. I don't water down the basketball court and you know, and it's like slipping slide. They do water down the field. Well, I've seen that happen. Yeah, I'm just happy that my

girls played basketball and not sucker. You didn't have to so when we went to go watch them play their basketball and volleyball, they're indoors sports and so you don't have to sit out in thirty degrees weather. That is one reason I wanted to be a basketball player, want to be Yes, I didn't want all that. All right, tell us about this injury report? What are we concerned with? Um, you know, there's not much. I still think Anthony Barr is really the only guy at this point that's for

sure probably not going to play. Now. They he hasn't practice every day, and as Mike McCarthy kind of said, or I did, I've listened to him as doubtful and they make the official injury reports doubtful. Well, Mike said, everybody looks like they have a chance except for Anthony Barr. He kind of put it that way. I don't think he said have a chance, but uh, you know, he looks like he's I think he said he's the one that has the least chance of playing. So they've listed

Noah Brown and Ezekiel Elliott is limited. Okay, Donovan Wilson is limited, but it's a tooth, so they'll take care of that. And then and tooth. Maybe he had to have a tooth taken out. I don't know, but it says tooth, so I'm assuming no one hit him in the mouth or anything like that. Um So yeah, everybody else is being listed as full except for bar dnped and limited, Norah Brown and Ezekiel Elliott. And did you

see ze yesterday practice? I'm told he took snaps, not all of them, and I don't remember if I said this yesterday when when the practice reports it says participation. So when they say limited, he's not physically limited. He limited in how many snaps he takes. So it's okay

to talk about him practice. And I'm thinking trouble here if you look about if you think about it realistically, Um, if he wasn't gonna play, or if they thought he wasn't gonna play, they wouldn't have given him snaps in practice and wasted on him when somebody else that would have to play um. So it sounds like he had some snaps. So that kind of gives you hope. And I think they'll take it to Saturday to see exactly where he is. I and you didn't see him practice.

I think Noah Brown, I did not see that part of the practice. Yeah, because we were doing our show, I did, you did, and he was hot stepping. Yeah, I'm telling he was hot stepping. He was trying to show I believe that he's ready because he took one and I was just, you know, we have just finished the show, I just gotten my lunch, and I was walking back by and talking with the young security guys.

We were looking and he broke through on the offensive right side off tackle, dipped in, dipped back outside, and he was looking, We're going to say, ready to go. He looking like a thorough bad He was definitely trying to prove a point by you know, yeah shows, and I think and I even and I think Jerry even said on today on his on his radio segment that he thought Zeke was good to go. So we'll see.

But yeah, I wanted to make sure I wasn't keep it close to the vest and whatever doctor Jerry says on his radio, right, doctor pretty named, we named him that long time commerce to fruition. Right, get the injury report from Jerry Um. You know the last time that the Cowboys went to lambeau Field twenty sixteen, we all remember Dak. We talked about it earlier in the week. Dak did in that game. He had three touchdown passes, had the one pick Joe Thomas. Cowboys won that game

thirty to sixteen. You remember what Zeke did in that game, I asked, I asked, I asked McCarthy. No, that was the game we were talking about with Pittsburgh. Okay. I asked Mike McCarthy last night about his memory of Dak in that game, because that's basically when he arrived as a rookie quarterback. And of course McCarthy been on the

other side. And what McCarthy said, what I remember more than anything from that game was Zeke running all over us and he for one hundred and fifty eight yards of that Yeah, and that was that That's the same year that they met in the playoffs, right, and yeah, and that was at that game. Yeah, I was at that game. To me, that was a nice Mike remembers

that game better he does. Yeah, Cowboys won like thirty sixteen, thirty to sixteen and Jared Cook game in the playoffs and then yeah, so you know what the great game, bad game come back. I went back and look and oh gosh, I wrote it down. I don't have it. Um. I think the Cowboys only have six guys on the team now that played in that game. Wow. All right, that's a good trivia question right now, let's do it right now. Dak xactly tiring because well you can count him.

He's okay, there's four, but is he one of Marcus Lawrence demrcus okay, started fourteen Anthony Brown. Yeah, and I believe that's it. Wow, that would be six six years ago. Yeah, that was a heck of a game. Shows you the turnover how quickly. And I was talking about the game up there, not the of course playoff game of somebody else might have snuck in there. I don't know, but it I just looked at the roster for the regular seasons. Yeah,

and it probably was the same. Yeah, probably not changed much. Yeah. All right, we're just getting started on this edition of Mixed Shots, and Mick, do you have a mix shot this Friday, A fabulous I already had it about the weather. You got to come up with another one. I want another mix shot, okay, because I want to produce some supreme to some music. Yeah, try doing mix shots. Continues in them all that The Medal of Honor is our

All right, we're getting you set for Cowboys and Packers on Sunday at lambeau Field. And um, did you go to the sixty six NFLA?

I did not, but I don't remember. And what what Mickey's referring to is not the ice ball, right, it's the game at the Cotton Bowl that it was played at home. It was the NFL championship game and at the Cotton Bowl, right at the Cotton Bowl. And where's the media guy? I gotta refresh my memory on it. Sorry, But what I remember on it was again, would it have been blacked out locally? Probably? I remember listening to it on the radio sky I mean I watched it.

It was probably, so it may have been blacked out locally. Can you imagine that a playoff game, a championship game? You said you had a place like now, we had a my dad had a cowboy's antenna and so which sometimes worked and sometimes didn't know it was cowboy. I mean, what a Cowboys antenna was. It was a humongous antenna that people had on top of their house. Uh, and that had guide wires going to the fence. We had a twister come through one time and took our fence, okay,

blew it over the house. Whatever. The Cowboy antenna got sent all over the city of Irving. I mean days weeks later, we would have we would have people returning parts of the Cowboy antenna to our house. Is this y'alls, you're the one with the Cowboy didn't have an antenna. No, we didn't have any day. So sometimes, uh, depending on the weather, I guess sometimes the it was kind of

snowy watching you. Okay, So that game was played at the Cotton Bowl, but in my memory of it, it was snowing because I was watching to go to the Cowboys hit. It was likely after a while he got pretty frustrated and just went outside and played football and my friends. That was it. So that game too, was close to It was New Year's It was New Year's Eve, New Year's Eve nineteen Actually, I'm sorry, I I was looking at the Ice Ice Bowl was New Year's Eve

because they played him in the sixty six game. Was New Year's Day, New Year's Day, and it was a thirty four to twenty seven loss to the Packers. I mean, that's how close Landry came to beating Lombardi in that game, and then the next year in the Ice Bowl. And by the way, it was pointed out on Twitter that Landry did beat Lombardi when Lombardi went to Washington. I said with the Packers, Okay, but I know he beat him. He beat him twice. Okay, I wasn't I wasn't correcting you.

I was just make sure I was just clarified. He was clarifying to you, but to Twitter correct that's right. Yeah, there's a lot of clarifications needed. So yeah, that's how far the rivalry goes back. Who was so it was Brown was coaching the Browns, right, Brown was coaching the Cleveland Cowl Brown. Yeah, yes, yeah, because they how they

got their name. But all the time I hated seeing the Browns come to town, except in nineteen sixty seven in the Eastern Championship Game when the Cowboys won fifty two to fourteen, and that got him in the Ice Bowl in nineteen sixty seven. Finally, but to your point, and that's where the Cowboys became known as next Year's

champions because of their games against Cleveland in nineteen sixty eight. Okay, the Eastern Championship game at Cleveland thirty one twenty Cowboys lost, and then the Cowboys played in the Playoff Bowl game in Miami against Minnesota and one. Okay, this is just for this is this is just a history lesson. Okay. Yes, in the NFL, once a team got knocked out of the playoffs at the end of the season, they actually

played a bowl game and NFL game. Yeah, that was the only way to make money back then, that sports whatever. I mean, you talk about how meaningless a game could possibly belt. They played it in sixty five. Cowboys seven. Cowboys did not make the playoffs in sixty five and played in the Playoff Bowl game, which was just an exhibition game, lost to Baltimore. The numbers don't count. Now numbers now what it would be like the college get paid.

It's like they got paid, right, Oh, I'm sure that if it Yeah, yeah, so anyway, it was it was considered a quote unquote a postseason game. Okay, so I didn't go on regular season stats, but still doesn't go into post game stats no season stats. No, yes, it didn't count. This just didn't count. Why is it in the media game? Why did it even happen when so?

So anyway, it was like a preseason this is right for the next year, remember, yeah, well, there was no reason to watch it, nobody to remember, that's right, all right. So the Cowboys lost to the Browns in sixty eight in the Eastern Championship Game, and then again in nineteen sixty nine, and they went to the Playoff Bowl game

and lost to the Rams again. So anyway, and then finally there was the breakthrough in nineteen seventy where the Cowboys made it to the Super Bowl and in controversial fashion, lost to Baltimore thanks to a ridiculous yeah, ridiculous fumble officials to bumble down on the goal line that Dave Manders recovered. All right, And in nineteen seventy one, Cowboys won the Super Bowl. So when Mackie caught the testdown pass, that's what I would call. So they were screwing the

Cowboys even then. All right, what concerns you about these Green Bay Packers? Um? Well, number one, they're the Packers, which hasn't bode dwell for the Cowboys over the years. And number two, where's my packard guide? Here? I had it. They do have Aaron Rodgers on their team, you know. Will. Will McClay showed something on our telestrators segment on the

Mike McCarthy show Rogers Play. He showed three different plays from Rodgers and how he still is doing all the same stuff he's done throughout his career and still has

the athleticism and so forth. There was one pass he through though he stepped up in the pocket, avoided the rush and throw downfield and it looked like it should have gone to Alan Lazard and it went to Randall Cobb behind him, and there were defend There were four defenders that he threatened the needle through his own player Lazard, two other defenders too, Randall Cobb. I mean, the guy still has it, don't You don't have to worry about

that because Cobs on ir. Yeah, but but no, you're right. Yeah, here's here's what I'm worried about. Check out these numbers one eleven, two oh three, one nine nine ninety four, two o eight and one oh six. That is six of nine games that they have rushed for at least ninety four years and three at least one ninety nine they have run the football well, they've got numbers that

kind of belie their record. Um, you know, they lost the game to Detroit, right, they had three hundred and what was a three hundred eighty four yards the offense in that game, Um, three eighty nine. Then the week before against Buffalo they had three ninety eight. So they just haven't made plays and it kind of And the other thing that bothers me is the percentages. They've lost five straight. At some point they're gonna win with right, Right,

you just hope it's not against you exactly right. The percentages are with them, Yeah, But what concerns me is not just the yards, but how they're getting them. And you talked about it in regards to the running game, and if there's a way to beat the Dallas Cowboys is to run against them, to keep that defense on

the field and keep our offense off the field. And if our offense plays along with that and comes out and goes three and out too many different times, then we're looking at the same old formula that's been failing us for the last three years, right, And that's us underachieving because we can't stop them from doing what they want to do. Yeah, and if you perform offensively, then that could take the ability to run the ball away

from right and they got to play catch up. And that's what you want with this defense because of your ability to rush the quarterback. And you said earlier this week, I agree, you need to come out strong. Yeah, we offensively. We just can't. Let's you know, try to crank that call up. We can't. We can't go through that. You know, we can't have a cold engine. We got to come

out there hot and ready to go. And I think that's one of the things that McCarthy got asked this question, But I don't think he understood where Brad Sham was going. He asked them about looking at statistics and how he looks at the statics the first part of the season too now, and I think where Brad was going was, you know, they had trouble on third down and there

were various other things. But do you look at statistics as with Dak Prescott and without Dad Prescott, right, because a lot of those third down problems were the five games that he missed. So I don't know that you lump all these things and say, okay, this is a problem like scoring, right, And I understand he played in the first game and they only kicked a field goal

against Tampa. But you know, these last six quarters that he's played, he's been pretty darn good, and we want I want to see if he can continue that, right. I think that's what we got to find. That's what we got to find. Cons But it's that wounded tiger. Yeah, you know that. I mean, you look at from this game from the Packers' perspective and where they are in their season at three and six right now, and where the Vikings are in their season. What are they six

and one? Ye? See, all right, and they're okay, they go to Buffalo if they lose that game, and then they got Dallas. Minnesota's got Dallas, okay in Minnesota. Yeah, but but let's say that Minnesota loss those two games. Now they're seven and three. Well, the Packers can get back in this thing if they can beat Dallas, if they can beat Tennessee, if they can be Philadelphia. Those are three tough opponents that got coming up. And so the way they're looking at it is this is the

point of their season. Where they got to start doing something. And one thing I like about Rogers, if I'm a Packers fan, is the fact that he not just always seems to have it on the control, but he's the person that you want to put the ball in his hands if you're going to remedy the situation that you

have right now. Yes, he's been the one that's been making the bad decisions, been through on some of the interceptions, but he's not a two time Player of the Year just by giving up or just consistently doing things in a bad way. Don't you know he's grinding Yes, yes, he is watching film and trying to remember who said it was one of the defensive guy. It might have been DeMarcus Lawrence, saying that the scary thing about him is he wants he knows what he's doing, and he's

trying to dictate everything. And if you remember one of the things when the Cowboys lost to them those couple of times, he caught him trying to change personnel on the fiah. You know, it's like you see somebody running off and he's going up there and they're hiking it. Okay, there's a free five yards, and he's pretty darn good. And if if, if he keep the lineback his end,

and he's gonna be throwing the ball. Yeah, that reminds me earlier this remember earlier this season where I don't remember who they were playing, but Robo was doing the game and Rogers the other team was trying to get guys off the field whatever, and and you the crowd, Mike picked up the field. Mike picked up Rogers with a profanity, he said, telling the center to snap the ball. And so a Romo says to Dances, Jim, did you hear that? Aaron said, come on, guys, let's snap the ball.

Come on, hurry up, let's go. And he's awfully good at it. So yeah, those guys know that they've got their hands full. You know, they're not they're not sitting here like everybody else. And you know they don't give you the four and a half points that Vegas does. So um, yeah, I'm with you, guys. This is this is a pretty darn good test. I don't care that they lost five straight, is your Yeah? Maybe it is, yeah,

because three and six doesn't mean anything. You let him, let him, let's go, you know, And it's it's almost like you you don't want it to be bad weather because if it's bad weather, they might run the ball more than they would if it was a good weather. So it won't be precipitation, right, I saw there was a percentage it wasn't. No, it's just going to be maybe windy at the moment. Yeah yeah. Otherwise, yeah, it's gonna be a pretty fair and cold and as Zach

Martin said, thirty, that's not cold. You know, I'm not I'm not real placed with mix mix shot there, let's try it, Mickey, you know, Mickey, Mickey. Landry did beat Lombardi a couple of times, but he was with Washington, that's right, only twice both times. Yeah, so let me telling me there you go, that's what we're looking out of whack. I say, hey, here's another one. When McCarthy

talks about, you know, the girls and the family. It dawned on me yesterday that since Tom Landry, the Cowboys have had only one other coach besides McCarthy that had children as when he was the head coach, it would have been Dave Campbell. I mean young children. Yeah, they had children, children that were like school age yeah, school age okay, school aged child. Yeah, because Jimmy's sons were in college. I believe Switzer. Switzer Switzer's son had a

son in college, his daughter had just finished college. I do remember him going to a high school football game. I thought when he was coach here and he got criticized for it. I was I thought it was I thought it was college. Was he was a college college so that he played. I don't remember. Okay, but he wasn't living with him, I don't think at that time. Yeah. Um, and then Gaily Campo had a child later Parcels. They were grown by that and they were telling Parcels what

to do. Um. Wade Wade grown daughter was grown. Yeah. And then Jason Jason have kids and so yeah, there you go. Kind of dawned on me because I was thinking, this is weird. We're talking about family, you know, and it's like, well, okay, other than your wife, you know, so Tom would have been. What you've got is a trend here of hiring coaches that are younger. No, I'm saying that Jerry has hired coaches that are older. Yeah,

but for the most part, though, Jason wasn't that more established. Yea, yeah, all right, we got our picks to click. Can you gonna win? It sounds to me like Mickey might have a surprise for us on who's gonna win this game on Sunday when mix shots comes back. We paid how much for those lessons? She's doing great? Oh yeah, totally. Can you pass me a Pepsi zero sugar? Great job, honey, Oh look at that. That's not the end, No way. Now it's time for the encore. You know what? You're right?

Five times? Not enough times for everyone who traded in rock concerts for their kids recitals. You've compromised enough. Pepsy zero sugar, That's what I like. told us. Amazing stuff man, and we were talking earlier in the show about how many Cowboys players are still on the team who were on the team in twenty sixteen when the Cowboys last went to lambeau Field, And we were just doing a little glance at the Packers roster and Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb who is injured, David Backdiari the tackle, and Kenny Clark defensive tackle are four that are on their roster who are on the roster

in twenty sixteen. And there's one ella other person who is field you gonna be on the field, who was on the field for the twenty sixteen Cowboys win over the Packers. You didn't have to bring me up the field before the game. That doesn't count. Okay. Referee Alan brad Allen. Okay, same referee as for the twenty sixteen So that is a great open for the Cowboys, right. I gotta say, as a player, you guys really overanalyze things. Yeah. Yeah, well but it's cool. It's cool. Jim Mauer and Brown

were on the field. More importantly Cowboys trainers. Oh, okay, more importantly Wideli, who won't be on the field is the referee from the twenty fourteen playoff. Yeah, and that was Gene Sterator. He's in the booths. Catch no catch man, get out of here. Answer, answer him anywhere around? Answer, we don't want him anywhere around. And Tony Currnty was the referee for the playoff game that same year in twenty six sixteen, Yes, six played Green Bay at at

and T Stadium. That's those aren't fine memories there? Oh, there's another guy, Mason Crosby. That's a Mason Crosby, and he's the kicker for Green Bay who made the field goal in that game. And he has been uh going back, I have to look up when Crosby you know, twenty seventeen. I mean he was twenty two thousand and seven. Um, I have it written down here. Yeah, he was a sixth round pick in oh seven. How some McCarthy's second years good enough that he's still in the league and

he's still ticking. In fact, McCarthy said, I was talking about it about the wind conditions and what's he hearing about what the wind will be like? And it sounds like it won't be that windy. Uh. And talking to McCarthy about how did he feel like he had a home field advantage at Lambeau. Uh, and he he was talking about, you know, they've added on to the stadium so much here in recent years that the wind has changed. Yeah.

And in fact, he said he's here's that it may be the largest crowd ever for a game at Lambo Field and seas around eighty thousand now and uh. But he said that he may go up to Crosby before the game and you know, say hi, I was a family stuff and and and then also ask him how's the wind doing right? Handle that? Yeah, that's right. He's made nine of eleven this year. Yeah. So that that year, that game was at fifty eight or like fifty three. I can't remember what the it was beyond fifty I

know that. But it was like as soon as they completed the pass to Jered Cook and he just had a feeling he's going to make it because that's just how it was going on that job. That's right. And the ball started out the side, right right back. I was a beautiful kick. It just it told me. I thought it was an ugly kick. Yeah, but you know it was just being a ball getting kicked. That was so dramatic, you know, I was fifty one yards and Dan Bailey Okay, Dan Bay, no, I'm sorry, Okay, I

take it back. We might get at here. It was

about okay the regulation, No, I'm sorry. With one thirty three left in the game, Crosby made the fifty six yarder to put the Packers up thirty one twenty eight Cowboys, but came back down With thirty five seconds left, Dan Bailey made a fifty two yarder to tie the game at thirty one, and then that's when Roder we thought we were going to overtime here and Rogers made the completion, got out of the pocket down the sideline right from Cowboys games and then as the h on the final

play of the game, crossby from fifty one. And see, that's what made me so mad about that game. It's not in the surprise that Rodgers did what he did. I mean, the exact same move they to get against Detroit if I'm not mistaken, and I think it was the Cardinals that same spin around. The spin around, so you know, okay, here it is, guys, all right, uh coach, hey, players, let's get around here. Don't let Rogers get out of the pocket. He's had two hell marries this year already,

he was and sure enough, that's what we did. He wouldn't have got out of the pocket if they didn't hold That's what you I remember you talking about who they hold from behind? Was it was it Randy Gregory. It was it they grabbed him from behind. It had bear hugged him, otherwise he wouldn't have got there. I didn't realize when I saw the play again this week that not only did he get out to the to the his left to the sideline, he actually ran up. I mean he was almost to the line of scrimmage

when he threw the ball. He had to be, because that was that was a past that needed to be drilled and then cook with his his feet were like inches, so cool from being he's one of them. He's one of the better tight ends you ever want to see around from being out of bound? Where is he now? Is he still? I think he is somewhere because I mean he's always landing. He was with the He's with the Raiders at one point. I know that's not a good thing. He came back to play boys. Where was

he last year? He was with the Chargers last year, I thought, because they they had problems with him in that game, right las injuries. He's having injury problems too. And two years prior of that with the Saints, and then he was with the Raiders in seventeen and eighteen. He was just with the Packers for that one season in twenty sixteen. All it had to be was the one game. Well he got paid after that. Yeah, you're right, he got Hey, everybody knew who he was, right, that's right.

And one other player, Dean Lowry, was on the current roster for the Packers. He was on the roster in twenty sixteen. All right, extra click, I am looking at one of our first of all parsons is back on. Okay, we can pick parts. I'm going first, fresh start here, all right. Even with that, Parsons will be double teams a lot, and you know who always feasts when Parsons gets double team. I'm looking at Doris Armstrong will have at least two sacks this game. Packers gonna lose. Thirty

one thirteen. Cowboys are gonna come out of the bag, I think, and I'm hoping that they come out of the bag and score at will while at least holding off the Packers and thirty one thirteen Armstrong with two sacks plus. I ain't playing Michael Parsons Parsons because I think he will end up at some point if they're running the ball, he's gonna be a linebacker, maybe a little bit more on first and second down, and he's gonna stop that running game. And I've got the Cowboys

twenty seven seven seven seventeen. I've got to guarantee for you I'm winning this week. Okay, Okay, which one I'm I'm winning both. You're gonna guarantee both. You can put it in three This is after talking to Jimmy. This way you can put it in three inch head lives. We will win the game, and it will be Trayvon dig Digs, who is the star of this game. And you know one of the reasons why is because he's coached by a guy who's in the Packers Hall of Fame,

Al Harris. How you go, Al Harris, who is a two time pro bowler with the Green Bay Packers, is going back to lambeau Field. Yeah, he's gonna coach up his guys. He along with ten other guys on but not ten other guys aren't in the Packers Hall of Fame. Mickey, can we go? Can I do a mix shot myself? Yes, Mickey, there's a one in the Packers Hall of Fame. It's Al Harris. So how will you looking for a certain amount of picks? So you just look at him just

bawling out. He's gonna have a pick. Okay, he will have a pick of aaron Ers. Yeah. I like that. Let's make it a pick six. Oh, we make it a pick six. And here's your final score. As we harken back fifty five years ago to the Ice Bowl twenty one seventeen with revenge on the Packers. That was the score of the Ice Bowl twenty one seventeen. This time, the tables are turned thanks to Tree and Packers Hall of Famer Al Harris Packers. He is a pack of Famer, Yes, yes,

is the pressure on him to win this game too? Well, you know, we don't even think about him. We always talking about McCarthy, but going back home as well. Well. Joe Philbin Offensive, Jeff Blastco, Rob Davis, Oh yeah yeah, but none of them are in the Packers Joe with no, Joe with Jun and one has a street and you got the Hall of Famer habits that try yep, so that I think, you know, I didn't realize they have all of these ex Packers on the on the staff.

That ball is very well for us. I really think it. It's home coming, Mike said. Mike said, there was ten others that's right, I'm talking about and there's probably a couple of we're going back in like yeah, we bat anyway, So there you go. We've got our picks, all right, three twenty five Sunday afternoon. We're back here at noon on Monday to discuss it all on a victory Monday, Go Cowboys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Two
