The following. Here's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club Cowboys. This is nick Shot screaming live on Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the official Dallas Cowboys at No. Here are Bill Jones, Everson Walls, and Nicky Spagnola. Well, what's the saying? Two out of three ain't bad? Bill Jones still under the weather, but coming in out of the bullpen is Nate Newton. You know what, man? They told me Bill Jones got hit by A J. Dillon. He ain't. No, he's still sick

over that loss. We all got on black. So what are we gonna turn to page? We feel bad after last night? Yeah? You know what I You know what I really is when you when you win the game, yes, sir, and you get to Tuesday here on mix shots in the SWBC podcast studio. At the start, you're onto the next game. But when you lose, you're still analyzing the loss. Yes, right, and it kind of hangs with you. And um, you

know the players are off today. We'll see if it hangs with them, but they better get over it by time they show up on Wednesday for the first practice getting ready for the Vikings. So in the meantime, we've heard from Mike McCarthy again, We've heard from the coordinators again, and this morning we heard from Jerry Jones. Uh, kind of still analyzing the thirty one twenty eight overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers. Did they have any any new revelations uh? During the press conference the Q and

as any anything different? Did he go off on somebody, did he talk about the refs? Did he, you know, stop the run? That's it the obvious. It seemed to be the pre eminent discussion point. Uh from McCarthy. Still from Jerry Quinn. So Quinn when asked about the loss or when he got started, the first thing, he said that one stinks, uh. And then he went on to say that the thing that hurt the most was losing the league as big as anything. We've got to close

it down. So that's what he was most disgusted with. Uh. Talked about uncharacteristic errors and uh kind of a reminder of do your job. Ah. So it wasn't the system, No, that's what he said. It sounds like he's pushing that off on the players. All right, so do your job because the system works well when he asked about the players, he if he had the right players to be able to stop the run. He said, so, Um, it's about do your job. So everybody's got to give him the

same page. Yeah, they tried to give an excuse the other night, talking about lack of practice. That's why you've leg Yeah, why Yes, lack of practice being the reason you have so much inconsistency going around the league. You look at last night. Hell, the Eagles had the same problem we have. You can't stop the run. Now, we were known for not being able to stop the run. This is a surprise for Philadelphia. No, I don't know how why it was so much a surprise because I

saw Zeki Elliot and totally running all over them. So I'm not that surprised that the commanders had that that that running game going. Nate, we already talked about this, how persistent the Washington team was to run the ball right? Yes, yes, uh you know they say, great mind thinkinglike and uh, I want to commend you coach Quinn. Yes, sir, do your job. Yeah, that's what you said yesterday. Do your job. This has nothing I know the history of coach Quinn. We all do. He was. He was the leader of

that legion of boom. He was the man. If he had stopped trying to be a head coach in Atlanta and just take over his defense, that would have been different. They would have had the super bowler. Yeah. So I am this is only players, fellas, and I'm not changing away from that. Everybody has made adjustments. Tell him Moore has made adjustment and committed himself to the run. Coach

mccarthur is more until the offense. Now you see this, dan Quinn has went out and got what his name both Bohannah, I mean I want to call him, you know, both Ham. They went out and got a big dude, They got a Hankerson. We have the personnel, now, we just got to redirect their minds earned the right to rush the passer, and I'm I'm gonna go back quiet. Y'all do what you do. And here's here's here's my issue,

and it's all about the linebackers. For me, I think the defensive lineman, you know, they're trying to do their job as best they can. You have to have active linebackers for this defense, and active linebackers to try and hold down that the edge for this this particular team. They start off just like they did in Tampa. Tampa saw it right away, and we've been getting killed by it ever since the first game. They can't hold down

the edge. And then as soon as we make the adjustment to hold down the edge, they started hitting us up the middle. So we need to be smarter. Number one, we need to be smarter as a defense. Number two, we need we need linebackers. And I know I'm talking. I'm going way back. I was accustomed to playing when I was in with the Giants. I was accustomed playing

with linebackers who had that attitude. One of those New York Giant linebackers happened to be from the Dallas Cowboys and now Steve deoss Gary Reasons went down during that year in nineteen ninety and Steve Deosse came in and he and Pepper Johnson, they weighed in at about two fifty five. By the time the weekend was over, they were about two sixty five. You know what I'm talking about, two seven, and boy way was ready to play. They

were ready to play. And they would hit that guard and they would stuff that guard in the hole, and there was nowhere to go. When I see this this, these linebackers that we have on this defense parcels excluded. But I still need to get into his technique. They need to understand what the priorities are. You cannot go around your block. You gotta meet that block. You cannot go around the block. I love. We always talk about it. The ute Locker had two hundreds steth the tackles all

of those ten yards down the field. Well that's what Van the rest is looking like. He's making the tackles, but he's all the way down the field. I gotta have some guys that's gonna stuff that thing in the hole because we have too many decreases, and those defensive linemen are getting, they're getting, they're getting, Uh, they're getting. They're getting hung out when it comes to them getting hooked, and no one is filling that hole. Nate knows more

about blocking schemes than I do. I know about stopping blocking seams. So Jerry Jones was buying into it too, because he said, here on out, the one constant is stopping the run, meaning their priority. Uh. And he said, unfortunately, we're jumping right out of the frying pan and into the fire because they got to face Minnesota. Uh that I had heard that one in a little while, so uh yeah, and so that's kind of where all the and and to just kind of you know why there's

so much talk about it, and you were right. You went back to the first game. In the NFL rankings this week when it comes to yards, the Cowboys ranked twenty ninth against the run, twenty ninth. They were no. They they fell, you know. And the amazing thing is they're still ranked twelfth overall on defense. So well, and it makes sense, right, if you can't stop the run, who's gonna throw against you? You know, they're gonna run, sort of like what we saw last night. We talked

about it with the Washington and Philadelphia. You know, Washington ran for one hundred and fifty two yards, but it took them forty nine carries to do it. But they stuck with us because that in my math, that's like three yards of carry. It wasn't like they were killing them. And as Nate said, uh, it's like the Eagles never had the football's right, they never fellas Uh, this league, it's slowly because of how the defenses have called up

to the offense. This league is slowly getting back like you know what fellas, we better hold on to this football while we got it, because it's it's about who was more determined to run this ball? And uh, it's just it was good to see last night. It was good because to see that this old fashioned football and now when we see a player action passed, we know that thing is for fifteen sixteen yards. The intermediate game

had took over the shortest intermediate game. But when you run the football more, all of a sudden you saw seeing more and more big players. Art seemed to be bigger players because every time they hit one of them wide receivers, it seemed like it was for fifteen to

sixteen yards. Was about in the Cowboys game, you talked about that we were doing very good job running the ball, and boy, when we came with the play action, Dak looked like he dropped back fifteen yards and he eyeballed ceedee lamb the entire way and before he threw the ball, everybody was watching with a group of people. Everyone in the house knew that's gonna be a dime. It was gonna be because he's open. He looked out in the whole time he took his time and that was a touchdown. Yeah,

and so that's what you're talking about. You know, we had, we had established that run, and that's what we're doing throughout the entire NFL. So when it comes down to it, Heineke had, God, wasn't his rating wasn't that good? He had he had no touchdowns and one interception two hundred plus yards. He didn't really need to get to be great because what they did was they kept the third downs to a minimum. Yeah, I mean third It was always third and short. It was always third and short.

They second down was important for them. They would get six yards, they would get seven yards, and they kept the pilots off the tape. And the Green Bay game go back and look it opened up the same way for Green Bay. Man, Yeah, because they third and short all the time. They had a stat last night like this was the third or fourth straight third and one. Yeah, and all you have to do is quarterback sneak or you know it's yeah, we get a symbol R. Yeah. Absolutely.

So they're sixty minutes in a game and the Eagles only had the ball for nineteen forty four, So that means the I go on to say Redskins Commanders. The Commanders had the ball twice as long, twice as long as the Eagles. They had it for four they just they use all what was the score? It then U thirty two to twenty one Washington. But you know that that last test, I laughed because a lot of times you dominate in these games in the NFL are still

so close. Yeah, for the domination that Washington showed, the game still seems to be a little bit closer, you know, And so UH coach coach McCarthy said, I feel for these guys because you need to learn how to win games this close. Yeah, and and that is the key man. And I'll give you. I'll give you two plays, see you Normally you have to go back and pick yeah, mix up in the end zone interception to CD that will either gave us a twenty one point league or

twenty five twenty four point league. Right, So I'll tell how people that it's right here. You cannot relax, especially when you're in that type of game. You own the role. The role. Your defense is gonna need help, and you're gonna have to be precise on offense. You're playing against the future Hall of Fame yes, so it's looking for it was desperate. So here's here's I looked at the scores this week, and seven teams one scoring at least

twenty seven points at least twenty Yes, sir. Only three teams, including the Cowboys, lost when scoring at least twenty eight points. So normally if you scored twenty eight points, you're winning. The Cowboys losing overtime by three, the Bears lose by one, and the Bills losing overtime by three. So I know, you know, and I know the consent. What you said is right about scoring points offensively, but you did put

up twenty eight points. That should be enough to win a ball, especially with the defense we've been bragging on since Yes we one yes, and so uh yeah, and I you know, and I hear all this. Well, now they really need Odell Beckham junior? Well can he play cornerback? Can he play right? We didn't show that we were lacking it? Why can he played defensive end? You know, it's it's like twenty eight points is twenty eight points? Uh?

So here we are. But the thing is, and I heard you earlier on your on your hit, yes it we scored twenty eight points at the right time, and yes, we do have to play because the old garbage camp points. Yeah, these were not garbage Okay, would not implicate they were. They were. They were strong points. And so that that's why I like, no, Mick, you right, becaucause we scored this the right way. Uh, our defense did not hold up. And I said this five years ago and I've been

saying it and I'm gonna keep saying it. Fellas, it ain't that we're giving up those big chunk yards in the run. It's no. The killer is. The killer is whenever we play a good quarterback that teams that can run, yes, off of the playoffs. And that's what That's what Aaron did. Aaron likes saying, in my mind, I ain't got to throw this ball. Tom Brady's like, Hm, I ain't got to throw this ball today so that we can beat the Barons. We can beat we can beat the Lions,

look at the quarterbacks. But nah, that is ain't happening against the good teams. We're gonna be all right as long as we understand who we are playing. We talked earlier this year about how close all the games were, and all of them within two scores. Yes, So everything right now is you might look at the outcome of a game and say, oh, they got them by this, Well, it was really closer than it appeared. The score did

not dictate how close that game was. So every game we played this year is going to be like that. And when you go to Minnesota you have to think, Okay, we still have a chance to win every game as well, just like we have a chance to lose every game. So we can't we can't go into a game thinking that we're out. Man. You always pick Cowboys to win. I always put Cowboys to win because I know they can win anytime they really put it together. We've done

it ourselves. That's why it's hard to pick against them, because we've seen it happen. We've done it ourselves. Nine games were one score. Come on this week and I'm counting eight right points? Yeah yeah, and and really ten because that that was the last trash touchdown. Yeah, but it was. It ended up being a one scoring game. Uh so, yeah, I thought this was interesting. I was going through what Aaron Rodgers had to say after the game, and he said, we hadn't scored thirty points in a

long time. It seemed like. And so he was saying, you know, we we got the offense going. But the key thing was, I felt like I threw the ball just about exactly where I wanted to tonight, and I wanted a chance to go win the game. Meaning what he'd through was good. I did quality. I didn't wanted to throw thirty or four quality that passes to be able to win the game. And see now that leads me right into this right quickly, like dak, don't take

no more from them, guys, don't don't follow the sword. Yeah, yeah, I ain't saying you gotta call him out in the media. But when we're walking up the tunnel at halftime, when we're going when we over there on the bench, I don't care about CBS, NBC or ESPN. Man, let them guys know this can't be. This can't happen. This cannot happen. And stephen A, I love you, man, Stop for that foolishes say that. Ain't give it. Jerry's money's worth well,

he don't even know how everything went down. All these seeds is I love him, screaming brother all all he wants. It's this funny thing about the Cowboys about how the punts treat the Cowboys themselves. I don't know what it is about the Cowboys for some reasons, because they are when we when we lose, it's like it's the first thing that's gonna be on whatever those shows are. I don't even want to give them any love. All those shows.

That's the first thing that you're gonna see. If I wake up, I'm gonna see that start if we lose. If we win, I'm not gonna see that start. I'm gonna look another game. Buffalo, How did they put it? The Cowboys haven't been to a super Bowl, and I don't know how long. Buffalo too right, that's my point. No one talks about Buffalo Washington too right. I'm glad they talked about it. Yeah, Buffalo, Buffalo is a team. I said to myself, Hell, when if they made it?

I talked to myself, what if they made it to a super Bowl? Where's the last time Buffalo has been to a super Bowl? With me? There? You go, right, you guys, with you guys, you know what, I don't care keep talking about us. Well, and I know we got to go to a break, but I was and I think we talked about it yesterday. I can't remember, but Dak was chewing somebody out on the sidelin. They caught him. Kept going like this right, and they said, oh, he was saying it was on me, and I'm going, no,

that's not what he was saying. At that point when when Ceedee Lamb was was getting on Sholtz, I think it was kind of he was just making sure that they talked. Y'all got talked because that was on y'all and you saw a see and he like, man, you gotta get out of my way. You know what Jerry called those things. He called them faith throws, like I've got faith that you're gonna do what you're supposed to

throwing them. Yeah, the past to Dalton Sheltz, it wasn't a first down, but man, either a dime he had to with Shelts better turn around. The ball is gonna hit him in the back of the head. You know what I'm saying. It was a hell of pass, hell of a catch and that said, that's up with the third and short. So yeah, all throws to me in these timing offenses, especially talking West Coast offense, when that backfoot hits it's coming out I learned that against San Francisco.

It's the first time I played against it back in nineteen eighty one. When that ball hit and you better be ready. Okay, you better be ready. You can't be back there going. I got decipher this and decipher that. No, you gotta go now. That's that's the way the game has been since the nineteen eighties. And there you have it, Yes, sir, Great Green, never in Walls, Nate Newton, Mickey Spagnola. We will continue with mick shots here on Dallas Cowboys dot com in a moment. The Medal of Honor is our

And you know the amazing thing, I know everybody's downed.

Cowboys lose a game that you think they should have won, their six and three, but Washington helped out, Yes, sir, because now I think Nate was talking about with assuming that Eagles would have won, they would have been nine. Yeah. And so the standings are, let me cut you off. You uh you got that? Oh man, We're not We're not down were no no ones. Now, well you will listen listen to talk radio. And the reason I say that, the reason I say that because I said this, Yes,

I listened to everybody's podcast. Yeah, at least once a week, and none of y'all said wholeheartedly during the week we got Aaron Rodgers right now, Yeah, you know that was my biggest concern, right, So I'll just now the fans are down, but we all in this in this world say, well, we hope to say the game and I did. How did we say, Cowboys offense start off slow? Yeah? Defense? Yeah, yeah, that's it. So Saturday night on the road for this game the Star Sports Tour, like most a little reception

and it was a really good group. There was about I don't know, maybe thirty people, and they go, what concerns you about this game? And I said, well, the Cowboys got to stop the run, and Aaron Rodgers is still out there. I said, I don't care what their record is. I don't care how many they've lost in a row. In fact, the more they're losing, the right

the more nervous one. And I told him my philosophy about the more you lose, the closer yard to winning, and the more you win, Eagles, the closer yard of losing. And so that then I said, I'd just I'd still scared of Aaron Rodgers. And then there it was so the way it stands right now. The Eagles eight and one, the Giants next at seven and two, the Cowboys six and three, and how about this, the Commanders five and five. They're right there on everybody's tail almost now. And so

they tried to lose it too, Yeah, they tried. That was so much that went down that the Phillip Philly could not take advantage of. And we started looking at that secondary for the Commanders. They were on it last night. Yeah, they were hungry. They were still getting beat. There was some great plays by the by Philly, but boy, they were hungry. They never gave up. It's like that sense of urgency was at its highest height. And when you saw that was mostly unique interception I think I've ever seen.

Because Brown had the ball in his hands, everybody did their job, he had the ball, The dB hitting his hands allowed that ball to pop up into the other defender's hands. Yeah, that was really odd. I don't think I've ever seen it happen. And then the ball landed in his chest. Yeah yeah, it was like, yeah, I guess I'll grabbed that. Yeah, because he was going he was I think he was trying to go for the ball, but he missed it. It actually hit Brown in the hands.

He will always think about that because it actually hit him in the hands. The other dB never gave up. The cornerback never gave up as he hid him, bounced up in the air. Number twenty five came and got it.

That's pretty cool. So the interesting thing with the records in the nfcum So, the Cowboys are still in the top seven, right, so they would be in the playoffs if the playoffs started today, and the only teams with a better record than the Cowboys the Eagles eight and one, the Giants seven and two, and Minnesota seven and one, eight and one, I think, yeah, so yeah, it's like okay,

and then there's the Cowboys at six and three. Um so I win this week, it would be a lot yeah yeah, in in in the East, depending on I was meant to look at that to see the what the Giants have this week. They in playing Detroit at the Giants and Philadelphia is at Indianapolis, So there you go there. And the Cowboys got to take care of their own business. I wouldn't I wouldn't put it past Detroit. Now they have they have a taste of the they keep giving when they won. They won this last week.

Now they're feeling it. They got they won on the road. When is the last time the Lions won on the road. They just think about that. That's they're they're feeling it now. They're kind of a surprise. You know what the other surprise team is. And I think I need to remember to watch this tonight Hard knocks the Arizona four and six. Yeah, and it doesn't sound like they're getting along. I heard that. Yeah, I heard that that. You know, you've got the face

of the franchise and the coach. Yeah, they're not getting along at all. They're not warming fuzzy. Funny how that happens when you lose. Because when I was reading they won this pass, right, so that's a good thing. When I was reading the Green Bay paper last week, it was like, well, I don't think Aaron Rodgers and La Fleur or see a night eye and a whole lot of things, right, And then I even leave it to

us to save their relationship. Yeah, and even at halftime when they didn't or know the end of the game, the game, why don't you run the ball? Right? He said, why don't you run the just every single play? Probably, And he asked what he's upset about the last drive and then he uh yeah, and he said, yeah, I felt like we were like thirty yards from ending the game and regulation and also felt it was a two minute so why are we calling all these plays that

they were calling. He had no problems calling out as coach. But I guess that's what I like about the veterans. That's what I like about the veterans. They're able to talk to their coaches, not the way we couldn't talk to our coaches back then either, But nowadays you can talk to your coach. Your coach depends on the players

a lot more than they used to. They take all their advice, and I think the Cowboy and Dak Prescott especially just started taking advantage of the fact that you don't have to be the nice guy in the franchise. Just because you make all the money and being a leader doesn't mean that you take on all the responsibility. You know, if you're a leader, then you know how to delegate power, You know how to delegate du you do this, you do that, you do that. That's the

leader that don't make you. Did Troy wait till after the game to choose somebody out or yah was the huddle hot. Nah. First of all, hey, man, let's just say I condole. This is to Troy. Yes lost his mother. Oh yes. And so I found out last night during the game and and tweeting him out, man, and I love you, Troy, bro, we love me, my man. Troy has always been enough for me, man. And I was gonna beat Tru up doing a game for getting on

my behind, for for holding me accountable. Yeah, I ain't thinking he told me in the right way, but hey, he told me. Uh and and that's been my thing. That's you know, I try not to wrinkle feathers over there because I know one day I'm gonna go to the playoffs for something. But I got I got to call it how I see it. And the first year or two he fell on the sward, I was like, wow,

Mickey's going to be like, wow, Okay, that's great. Yeah, third, fourth, fifth year, No, we gotta quit following on the sward. We gotta start sticking. And in somebody I remember it might have been his second year. Yeah, and they finished. He finished this little group in view and I was hanging around and I was kind of looking like this, and he goes, what are you looking at I said, I'm looking for the stab room, thank you, because you

keep falling on your sword. And he just looked at me and laughed, like if you've just figured me out, because I knew what he was saying, right, and it's like, no, those weren't your fault, right, they sold you out? And he at least laughed. I know with this last week, I have not had a commentator like Olsen. They really pointed that out right away on what happened on the

combination route between Shelts and and CD. Otherwise I've been kind of ignorant like everybody else was, like because at first when he ran that back and that was great of them in Fox he called it to run that right away, I tell and even the other one because he said CD's got to flatten the round. Yeah, I've come to know that. I've got plenty of interceptions like that. But I mean, you know that when they're in the end zone so tight and so quick, yeah, hit quick,

and uh, I don't believe that faith. I'm gonna believing this if you're allowed to walk out of that locker room. And this is the difference when we play Everson and and Mick and Galloway and all of these guys and Charad and they knew they knew enough football and they could get to them coaches quick enough after the game, the pointing fingers really quick, right, hey man, But resorts say that you didn't flat out across the safety right, you know, why didn't you do that? Come to the

cornerback and ask him? Was that on you? Yeah? That? Yeah, so they could ask and tell us questions. Now guys get to get on their phone tweet out, yeah, man, I did this and did that? Did you see me? And and and guys like you said with Stephen, They and those guys before they can even know what happened, they've really judged I please Stephen. They said that Dak Prescott is a detriment. No yesterday, No Phil, he said, you know, I'm not exactly he said he is not

a detrian, but he's a weak link. He called him the weak link of the team. That's well, good thing. We have no weak links on shots. Wow, our last break. Wow we paid how much for those lessons? She's doing great? Oh yeah, totally. Can you pass me a Pepsi's zero sugar? Great job, honey. Oh look at that that's not the end. Now it's time for the encore. You know what, You're right? Five times not enough times for everyone who traded in

I wanted to bring this up because I thought it was worth mentioning after listening to John Fossil yesterday. Luke Gifford on Special Teams he had five tackles, three solo, two assists. No one does that on special teams, right, and he had the fumble recovery

by the way. So they have this little board up there where they it's a kind of a scoreboard for special teams. You get so many points for this or this or this, and he said, usually, Uh, what's really good is if you get to five hundred points at the end of the season. He said, well, Gifford in that game probably earned one hundred points for what he did. Uh. We talked about it when we left, by the way, linebacker.

You know, I don't know. He doesn't get many chances to play regular downs, um, but on special teams so he had. Um I think he had ended up with twenty six uh, twenty six plays on special teams. Um. So that was one almost one play per five. That's pretty good on special teams. So yeah, I thought after he pointed that that that out. So he played eighty seven percent of the special teams plays. We brought it up yesterday after the show. We should have talked about

it on the air. Yeah, but I remember yelling out, man, you know, Gifford, we love the shot. Yeah. I got to give him a shout out. That's I think that's one of the better, you know, forgotten not returning punts and things, that's one of the better special teams performances. I think I've ever seen to be that prominent in in throughout the entire game. That's That's a tough call, but I don't think I've seen anybody that involved, especially

when you're talking about fumble recoveries. Did he cause of fumble as well? I thought he did, but they didn't give him credit for one after he got hurt and he came back in and played. Um so yeah, anyway, Luke Gifford, pretty you know, I guess we have to do a game by game of build three facets. Three facets. Yeah, offense, defense, and special teams. That's the only way we're gonna make it all the way. And um oh, I know what the thing I wanted to point out, So Aaron Rodgers.

He was asked, um if he was surprised the Cowboys didn't kick the field goal on fourth and three in overtime, and he said, I mean, I'd want to go for it there. The field goal is not the end of the game. They had a good drive, they hit some play. So no, I would have wanted to go for that there. I wasn't sure if uh. And then he pointed out on the fourth down if Dak's knee had hit the ground, because they would have had even better I don't think

I think you got it all. But see, that was that was my point, not only the conditions we talked about that yesterday, just the fact that the field goal doesn't win the game, and you're and and it's not a given you're gonna make it, and you're gonna give them ten yards from wherever you're snapping the ball. I still think I would have gone for the field goal, but they would have lost. Yeah, why do you say that? Because they drove right down the That don't mean they're

gonna do it this time? Well why not? Well you just maybe somebody make a play this time. Well, I mean, I mean, come on, I gave up a whole bunch of touchdowns and eighty one, but eventually I got the pick. Yeah. I mean, I'm just saying sometimes it's like, you know, the way they have given up all the plays, but see if the pick is the pick. I don't I don't understand this. I don't understand this. We went from nobody can can move the ball our defense to not

it would have lost. Yeah, I would lost. Which one is it? Well, that's what it is. They got the ball at the thirty five yard line, okay, after the fourth down. If you think about it, when they were kicking off and they were kicking off so short, they were getting the ball at the thirty yard line, Aaron Jones one yard, Jones eight yards, and then they hit them with the thirty six yard pass. Jones fifteen yards. Uh oh, no, five yards, and then a face mask

another fifteen yards and there they were at the Cowboys seven. Okay, just that what he build up. Yeah, they have this revision history to what they say. Well, you know, if you would just do this and they do that, it's gonna be the exact same way. No, it isn't. If you hit kick a field goal three and I mean they gotta get seven, and then your momentum is different. Mentally, you're different. And I've seen it happened too many times. And though you have two SPADs to our team, that

defense sucks all all game. But now we need you to come through. Come on. That could have been Minnesota did a buffalo down there on the one. Will you tell him, you tell him it got Yeah, you know, all I know, all I know is our defense went from the wrecking crew. It was a defense that needed a nickname. It needed. Now we're gonna Automaic give it up. Yeah, just gonna automatic. Anyway, they scored, They scored if you don't count the last possession under the game when they

basically sat on it. Right, they scored four consecutive possessions. So what we did more, it changes your entire mentality not a field goal. You know, sometimes you gotta believe like Muhammad Ali believe like what they said by the Aliman's gonna kill him. Yeah, man, he got him and he had it shaken in the rest of his life. Had that fourth and that fourth the fight, that fourth score would have been a touchdown. They were at the

seventh yard life, they would have scored. Defense went from the cares of I can't give him up on him like Daron Rodgers knew what he was talking about. Wow, Mick Big like wow a week ago. They couldn't do no wrong. So what they rushed for twe yards, I did not because they also gave up twenty nine points to the good that they gave him fifty yards. We won the game. Faith, Oh my goodness, it's not about where you see where that faith gets you in your

throwing the football? Yeah, good faith throws stop me turn the team in here we about to get off. Mike shot a score. Yeah, you got it. You'll see if I got anything else on my notes here you rally. You just went up on the field goal. Yes, still thinking that Aaron Ride is gonna come down and do whatever the heck he wants to do. I've seen it too many times twenty sixteen and even and check this out, and this is always funny. So we keep kind of

gigging McCarthy about to catch. No catch. I mean, there were signs in the stands it was a catch, right, And and McCarthy was talking about, you know the reason he challenged it because he had the referee read them the rule. And he goes, okay, if that's what it is, I'm challenging this, and we're going yeah, but it was still a catch, and he goes, well, it doesn't matter. I had a drive. We're gonna go down and score and beat the way they have. No not even makes

a why have you turned on the defense. You see that. I got this number right here. It says four four seven. Those are rushing yards they've given up in the last two games. Four hundred and forty four, four hundred forty seven yards rushing the last two games. You know what, Walls, I've been saying this for six seven years now and everybody ignored. So why is it so important now? Because you lost? Okay, okay, if you overcut, if you start forty,

that's gonna be a moment that's gonna be similar to this. Yes, And I'm gonna bring it up because someone's gonna defy the odds. According to mix shot oology, four straight possessions they scored, that's all. I'm gonna tell you what. In scored on four straight possessions? Still lost? There you go? Yeah, because why you scored forty nine? Yeah? Right, and you're not gonna score forty nine every week to win? And can trust me? Poor man? No, we got you. I

got you. I got analytics. Always favor yet analytics right here. Yeah, much as he dogs analytics, he's analytics. No, it's not analytics. You just went four four seven? Common sense? Who gives up four hundred and forty seven yards? Rushing in two games. We do well. Yeah, I got themselves. I had them at one hundred and fifty. I say, if we evol them to one hundred and fifty, we got him at out fifty seven yards. Show there you go. Yeah, all right,

there is mick shot. Since we've used our five minutes of what do they call it in soccer? Uh? Not over extra time? Not over time. It's extra time and we've used it up. Nate, thanks for joining us a man. See you tomorrow and we'll see if Bill's ready to God be side shoe? Is aj Dillon? What side shoe? Because he must stepping and be a check? No, he just made him sick. That's all all right, that's it

for mick shots. We'll see you tomorrow. Go Cowboys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
