Episode description

Great pregame show today, though four days before the Cowboys Monday night game against the Eagles. A full injury report, and all the chess moves the Cowboys are forced to make because of injuries. And of course, wouldn’t be a Friday without picks to click and game predictions. Some with some pretty unconventional scores.

The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. This is Mick Shot screaming live on Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the official Dallas Cowboys at now Here are Bill Jones, Everson Wolves, and Nicky Spagnola. And here it is a fabulous Football Friday edition of Mick Shots and Everson. Look who came dress for the occasions? Right? Addas is tie on. I

don't know if you can really tell. You can't tell from that shot if you're looking watching along on Dallas Scout. There he is the close up of Mickey's got the gold tie on looks like a ventuliquis do. So, hey, we've got lots going on on this Friday here at the Star in Frisco. In fact, we have football players in pads on the practice field on a Friday, which is very rare because it's a Monday night game. So it's actually a Thursday out here at the Star, right Mickey, Yes, absolutely,

today was the padded practice. And I'll tell you what

this is getting to be just a tad ridiculous. So we talked a lot yesterday about contingency plans at the defensive ends spot and by time we get to practice today, one of the defensive ends Brandley and I is getting placed on COVID reserve so to go along with Keyan O'Neil who is still on to go, along with Dorence Armstrong who will be out with high ankle sprain to go along with DeMarcus Lawrence still out with the fractured fifth meta tarsl to go along with Carlos Watkins missing

the game. They're starting defensive tackle along with the projected starting defensive tackle from the beginning Neville Gallimore and Tristan Hill is still on PUP. So I would imagine from a defensive tackle standpoint, we will see a whole lot of osa O Diggi Zuwa, which is a good thing. Which is a good thing. He's played well. I think we'll see more of Quentin Bohanna and I can't wait

to see. And my guests is they're going to have to call Justin Hamilton up off off the practice squad to have at least four and then Brett Urban also, so Brett Urban probably starts with um Oh Diggi Zua and then you rotate in Bohanna and then Justin Hamilton probably will get some snaps those first two names again. Run through them again, Osa or diggi zoa okay. And and probably I'm guessing Brett Urban. So he pronounces osa

or digga zua great. Yeah, and then he screws up Brent Urban Brett, I said Brett, didn't I it's Brent Brent, Okay, I got Urban right, that's okay, man, Yeah, we know you have that indigenous African let's right to where it's easy to just spout out a lot of Cajun stuff. Brent Urban right, Brent, Brent. I must admit I have a friend named Brent, and I never can't get his name right. Yeah, I want to call him something to yeah, like Brent, like Gil brand got you Gil Brent right

all the time. But his name is Brent. I don't know. Yeah, I still don't know. Don't kill the messenger. And to go along with Randy Gregory is back this week. He's back and spend it a little. We'll see how back he is. What do you mean? Well, I mean, depending on what COVID did to him, right, You don't Sometimes for different people, you don't jump off off the bed and go okay, I'm fine, let's go fifty snaps unless

you're asymptomatic, right, So, yeah, you're a symptomatic. The defense, they can't say, well, evidently not enough because he'd sure didn't get back in five days he was in the vaccinated category to where he was and and so and Kean O'Neill is still in COVID, so he has a chance, he has a chance. And he has to be in COVID at least five days and test negative each day, right, and his five days would be up in time for Monday, but he would not have been through any practices. He

is isolated exactly. So yeah, the defensive line, and actually they're going up against a team that kind of wants to run the football, and so yes, they have their problems too, right, well, and but yesterday we talked about though, would we rather see Michael Parsons at defensive end or at linebacker against this Philly offense? And is it by necessity now you're looking at him at defensive end? I would think so now only because we have to, I

would think so. But they got a break I saw because I just saw where their other So we talked yesterday about their starting guard Brandon Brooks Brooks is out right, so they were going to move in the rookie landon Dickerson. Well, I just read where is it, Mike mail Loatta. There their starting Jordan Merlotta, they're starting tackle, left tackle. He has a knee problem and he's going to be out interesting.

Andre Dillard will start in his who was their first round draft pick two years ago and they didn't think enough of them. So Malata was starting ahead of him, and he was the seventh round draft pick three years ago, and you know, just signed him to a contrast round and the guy's a monster Malatta. I didn't realize it. Six eight three sixty five. Yeah, Um, knee okay, knee problem, huh. And that's kind of the way it was last year.

And but you know, the Eagles had We talked about the Cowboys offensive line injuries last year, and the Eagles had their fair share last year. Also, both these teams offensive lines were decimated last year. So yeah, so you're gonna see a lot of Terrell Basham. We'll see how much they play Gregory. Okay, they're gonna have to put out who's my other defensive end them for getting out there? Um, you had Basham, You had Gregory is that it hasn't

played yet. I guarantee you he's playing right. And then yeah, and then you mix in Parsons um nowhere speaks on the practice squad fit in he may have to be called up. You might not be able to get because you got Justin Hamilton from the practice squad who likely will be called right, and you can only you can only do two of those guys. But they will get a COVID replacement for an eye. Okay, so that doesn't count.

So they can get three new guys from the practice squad off, yes, okay, yes, and as we talked to which they did last week for about for Neil, there's the other one and Neil too, so that too if he doesn't so the whole practice un I mean, it's like Domino's falling, right, yeah, so oh you gotta go pick up a Domino to replace that Domino just failed. So now I don't know, you're taking it from the

defensive line. You might have to bring a linebacker over to the defensive line, which is Parsons right, So now you're gonna be playing Jalen more probably along with Bandarish. That means that one of the safety's hyper safeties. If Neil is back, he'll be the hyper safety. It's gonna have to come down from the secondary or a curse, right well, so everything you gotta go pick up a domino for another. But first was already starting because he started last week in place of Jordan Lewis. No, no, no,

But when you have a different package, Donovan Wilson. But when you have different packages though, yeah, it's still going to allow you in a different package to if you want to move Curse from the back into the middle. You're in the linebacker position. We're talking about the hyper situation. Their three man line and put to play more safety and you have enough safeties, right, Well, what if it happened. I was talking with a guy last night. He brought

up candidate, what's what's going on with Candy? Yeah, what's going on with Michael Kennedy? He's still It was a matter of fact, I saw him in a drill that we were out there and he finished the drill and does this, and I know one can see what they did, but he grabbed his hamstring. Uh, so we'll see. He finished what I saw out there, so he should be good. So he but he's missed a training camp, right, he was pretty good. Yeah, they still got him playing behind

Jordan Lewis. Yeah, sure, so Canny play back with uh with Casey? He No, No, he's a he's a corner. He's a he's a corner. He's a corner. He could play outside inside, But I don't know about they got Hooker back there, right? You know what at this point, what time is it one thirty nine? Your injury report comes out? Like the three I'm almost scared to look at him to see what else we might be on there. You never about all right, what's the testing protocol now

this year? Are they being tested every day every week? What's like between now and Monday? The unfacted? Do they vaccinated? Are testing every day? I can't remember if they started doing everybody every day, because before, if you were vaccinated, it was once a week. So it sounds like they might be meaning before the seasons, before before they change the kind of the rules, right, And if it's once

a week, when did they do that? They do that at the start of the week, I mean after the game, like for instance, on Monday, like for a Monday game Tuesday for them for the next week, you might have to ask, well, okay, most reason why. The reason is, especially if they're testing every day, especially at that defensive end position. If you get a call okay Sunday morning, what do you want them to quit testing? Like he's trying to get timely testing. That's or if someone show

symptoms between now and Monday. Right now, you're at a point depth wise at that defensive end position that if you lose anybody else, then you've got to do the shuffling that you're talking about, or not just shuffling, but scheme wise, having to do what you're talking about, going with the three man in front and playing more of a three four defense whatever, Not to be cagy, but

just out of necessity. Yeah, even though you've got guys on the press, and that's that's why it's so important to build your practice squad these days with guys who can on a moment's notice playing a game. These aren't developmental guys necessarily. You have some that are developmental, but you have something that was the design initially, I'm sure, because remember what they've been doing is calling up Sprinkle

as the third tight end. Well, you might have to adapt if you don't have enough available call ups like who else can help you at at tight end in a blocking center. And that's why when we go back and look at the preseason games and all the training camp and we're you know, traditionally you say, oh, that guy's gonna be working at home depot and just temper

or whatever. You know, he's not gonna be on nay roster. Well, if I think if you go back and look at the ninety man rosters across the league, it's gonna be eighty of the ninety guys on that roster and point they're on roster practice squads at least, and at some point they're gonna be called up to the way the phone. Yeah, looking at the phone, they might they might be at

that number already. Yeah, especially with injured guys. You know, remember what McCarthy kept saying about the year they won the Super Bowl that they ended up having seventy seven players at some point active on the fifty three man roster. Seventy seven, So that means twenty four more than you started with. So here we go. How as a coach,

how do you even prepare for something like that? Because you know, coach is all about continue just playing, bang your head again, how can you figured that far down the line. It's almost like a chess game. You have to anticipate the unanticipatable, you know, and try and figure out, Okay,

worst case scenario, you start work your way up. Last year was a great as a great practice for this, you know, you know and so, And it starts with building your roster in the entire offseason, even going back to the end of last year, where those guys that you're signing to future contracts who were on their practice squad last year, you might have a spot for them where they are actually going to be playing in games

as soon as September of the following year. It's almost like you got to spend a whole day doing what if yes on each that's a starter. Yeah, what if I lose this? What do I do? And it's not just the coaches. I mean Will McClay and his scouting staff, and I mean that's why they've got to be. They had to be on top of it and they have to do it every year. But really even more so with the uncertain status week to week, day to day

of different players, you have to have quality backups. I don't know about offensively, but we know, defensively, seems like the scouting should go to more of a hybrid type of player. Michael parsons, We are just a football player at you know, more so than you would have trad what they did to position, that's kind of you look at the guys that they acquired in the off season.

Um starting with Kea Kean O'Neil who came into the year into his career as a safety and now he plays linebacker, but he could go back into play safety if he needed to, you know, if you had to. Shove Curse is another one. Brent Urban can play tackle. H that's right, Basham can go inside if you want them to in pass rush situations from a defensive end to Russia as a defensive tackle. Yeah, they got a lot of guys with those Watkins one technique, core three

whatever you know. And I who's a draft pick last year. He's a he's an edge rusher just strictly more more so than a linebacker. But now he's out. It's like if I if I was for Carthy, we make we make a case for a bubble. That's that's what we do, and it would make the case for a bubble situation with McCarthy. It it started in the spring last year, okay,

before he even got the team together. Okay, when he took this job, he thought he had an offensive line that had Pro bowlers, Tyran Smith, Zach Martin, Travis Frederick. That none of them. By March, Travis Frederick has retired from football. And then you go through the season with Tyron Smith's playing two games, Lyle Collins, no games in, Zach Martin ten games games like Lele Collins with a hip like Bills, And yeah, dude, you had to trade up to get Tyler Beatish, you know, and you draft

see the good thing there? He got a center guard. Same thing with McGovern. Now another side of the ball is on the line. You have a hybrid type of offensive lineman as well. And I wonder how you're from tackle? Can you get something to go from tackle to tackle? You do you have a guy that could be that tackle and be a center, to be to be that good? How about to be that fast? How about Connor Williams who they got a guard. We're training him as a backup center, but he had been a tackle in college.

Brand center guard, center guard, Brandon and I tackle guard And you could probably train him as a center. So bye bye. By time we get halfway, they may all play all those times this rate two four back in the backfield, Jack Martin, wrong with that. Zack Martins a multiple time Pro Bowl guard, and as we've established on this show, he could be a Pro Bowl tackle it as well. And his brother is a center, and so

he could play center too. And think about it. Last week, and I don't remember the guy's name, but one of the Chargers offensive lineman came in as a blocking tight end. So maybe one of these guys can do that if they don't have room to call up sprinkle the third tight end. I'm surprised we haven't done that though. Well, they don't have Antoine Woods to play fullback. Oh, he just got signed by the Colts. Signed back with the Colts because he was with them and then they live.

So he's going to be signed him to the active roster. Okay, yeah, he's going to be back and mentioned that. Yeah, but at least the Cowboys aren't the only team because Carolina got ripped last night, right, all right, you want to talk about that when we come back here, come back in a moment here on mix shots. Honey, Big news scary, are you okay? Oh? I'm not Area anymore. I'm Jackie Flash. What see? I want the latest smartphone, But the best deals are only for new customers. So to get a

He handed him the copy and he just read it immediately. He didn't have time to think of it. We didn't. We didn't have We weren't able to call the time out. We couldn't freeze him like we wanted. That's right, and he didn't have a time at the time to get nervous. So because because I got YouTube, no Onel, this is listening,

just you two guys. We've got clarification. Chris Beam checked on it, and clarification on the vaccination or the testing for vaccinated players in the league. It's once a week, so every seven days, and they test the day after a game. Okay, so vaccinated that we have no danger of vaccinated players failing a test. But unless somebody Monday, unless they somebody first feel sick and then they get tested because they are symptomatic, so or close content. Oh yeah,

there you go too. Okay, there's where the bubble comes to content. Yeah, so there's how that goes. All right, So I started this is it's not funny, but it's it's like I started my column lesson and in the beginning of my column, I was listening all the things they've gone through so far, with all the injuries. Yeah,

now I gotta go back. Just injuries, just injuries and COVID COVID, go ahead, now I gotta go back and half And I was halfway through the column before I got to the point about Michael Parsons having to what do you want to play them? Here or here? Now it's here or here, here, here, it's unbelievable. Well that's what we talked about yesterday, this new normal. Uh, And who do you stay away from? And how can you isolate yourself? You know, especially when you have a family.

You know, this is not necessarily guys going out being its possible or you know, just you know, not being careful. It's the necessity of you know, having to be around your kids and your family, and you know that necessity to you know, get out and go to school and go to work and things of that nature. So the contact is going to be there from their case, and then all of a sudden they come home. What you're gonna say, go take a shower first before you give

me a kiss. That bill I heard, I heard, I heard one of the young folks upstairs, Um, say, are other teams having this much problem? I don't wanted to blurt out, No, it's Texas, because my god, we don't need no masks. Yeah, we know how to take care

of ourselves. Yeah, especially in the school. Okay. The Carolina Panthers played last night, and of course, the Cowboys played the Eagles Monday night, and then the next game the following Sunday against the unbeaten Carolina Panthers, who improved a three and oh last night with a twenty four to

nine win over the Houston Texans. But most notably coming out of that game were two players who will not be playing against the Cowboys the following Sunday now, and that would be Christian McCaffrey, who left with a hamstring injury. He's going to be out multiple weeks. And their first round draft pick, cornerback J. C. Horn has a fractured foot and so he is out a good spell. The fractured of the reform I just read said multiple bones

in the he fractured. I'll tell you what. When he went down, it looked like an achilles because there was no contact. He just took a step and then he started pointing to his foot. He just took a step. Yeah, didn't twist. No, it didn't look like he twisted it at all. Just took a step to the side. See that's scary. That's scary stuff. Yeah. And then McCaffrey the same thing. He tried to stutter step. I thought that and then he grabbed his hamstring right twelve thirteen left

in the second quarter. He was that's a patented move by his by him, you know. So we should see a lot of Chuba rookie rookie, and he had a nice game. I think he had some fifty some yards rushing and had good rosses. But he's a good running yeah, But he's not Christian McCaffrey. He's not. Yeah, So he's more of a what's the la charges running back of him? Minds me of him a lot the onely Ectuly type of it. Um, So that'll be interesting coming up next week.

But in the meantime, it's the Cowboys and the Eagles on Monday Night. And by the way, Andre Dillard, Uh, you know, he did not play any in the regular season last year. He had a torn biceps muscle suffered late in training camp last year, and so that is one of the reasons why um he lost his starting tackle spot to Melatta and uh and they kept with Melotta this year coming out of training camp. So they're going to have two first round draft choices playing next

to each other. Dick what's his name, Dicker Dickerson, Landon Dickerson. He'll be playing right guard. Oh, he's right guard. Isn't Melotta left tackle? He is Bail Lane Johnson is the right tackle who's a first round draft pick. Right, and almost have a first round draft Dickerson is actually a second round draft pick. Second. He was projected as possible that first round backups. Yeah, yeah, because he's an ac. He had a torn acl okay, so I had the

sec tea scout. Yeah, yeah, it was late in the season, so December he went down. He's quite a character, that guy. Yeah, Dickerson so kind of fits in with those with the Jason Kelsey types on their offensive line. Eagles have had a good offensive line. Lane Johnson's another one, you know, as he's very confident player. So they'll come in here

with a lot of confidence. They always do. And then when we forgot about Brandon Graham right yep out with an achilles, So we're going to run the ball, and the ball and the guy that they're going to run the ball the guy to look for. Obviously they got Fletcher Cox, number ninety one at defensive tackle, has been there for a decade and gone to six Pro Bowls. But this Javon Hargrave, as I said earlier in the week, he jumps off the tape what he's doing this year.

Number ninety seven had two sacks in their open against Atlanta and he's right, he's right next to Fletcher. Yeah, that's that's a pretty formidable duo right there in the middle. So it'll be interesting to see what they do to replace Graham, if it's Karagan or if they if they go with Derek Barnett or Josh Swift. Sweet poor Sweat. Sorry, that's an eight in there. I'm pretty sure Karagan will get sometime. Yeah, he's kind of their designated pass rush

right right right, they'll put them in. He'll gill get fire. That's a guy you want to make play the run. Kerrigan had thirty. Kerrigan had thirty two snaps last week, thirty four in the opener. Sweat had thirty eight or twenty eight snaps last week, and Derek Barnett on the other side, had forty five snaps at defensive end last week. Graham came out after fifteen snaps last week, and Josh, I say, Sweat, Sweat at twenty eight twenty eight, Yeah,

but he had thirty nine the week before. They've got another guy, Patrick Johnson, I think is the guy that got additional snaps last week because Graham went down in that game, and I gotta say, you know they held down the nine is pretty well. It's fourteen points. That's nothing to sneeze, especially when your offense only puts up three. You're trying to keep a game close. Every time you went out there. They answered the bell several times. Another

guy that I like, who's from Crowley, Texas. I interviewed him during the draft process, Milton Williams. He is a backup defensive tackle from from Louisiana Tech. He tested off the charts at his pro day. I mean it was Aaron Donald like testing. He's a really good player. I know the Cowboys are very interested in him. He interviewed with the Cowboys third round draft pick seventy three overall, and he's played twenty seven thirty snaps in each of

the first two games for them. So there's another guy. That's a good question. I'll have his number written that, but I can find real quick. What's it? What's the name? I'm sorry, Milt, Milton Williams. I was thinking of something else at that point. I had some good news. He's number, So how about some good injury? Talked to him. Okay, so I good injury caught Amari Cooper before came in

and uh. He said that when he scored the touchdown against the Buccaneers, that's when he suffered the rib injury. He said, I don't know what the proper term is. He said, I didn't look at the image, but my understanding is there's a little crack in there? Is it the left he he was talking, Yeah, I think it was left because he was facing us and he when he when he caught that, you maybe laid down after that testdown when he caught it. I thought he had

messed up his knee because he had to stretch. It was a nice soft pad and he got under it and the guy was on top of him as he stretched out in like a lunge with that, with that that left leg, I think he landed on his knee. Oh maybe, And it's just I think he landed on his knee because when he came down, you could see the pain in his face because it was an excellent shot, right.

I remember when he laid down, and I'm thinking did he heard his leg or his knee because of how it hit, But he was trying to brace himself enough and that I'm telling you, I think I think he's funny. I'm not telling you. I bet you. I promise you land on the other players kneed. No, the other player was on top of him. How do you land? I'm telling how do you lend on your knee? I'm telling you, maybe there's no way you can if you stretch like that, if you stretch like that and maybe not your knee,

but your thigh. You don't think your thigh couldn't there's no way or your hip. I don't know. Well, anyway, I try. I saw that, I said, exten I bet, I'm telling you, how how do you have them there? I'm what I was just trying, because he was how do you crack a rib on your own knee? Did you crack it? He said, there was a little fracture there, but he was just so he played the rest of the game. See, that's why I don't think it was cracked.

I thought he described it as a crack. He described that. So, yeah, no, I didn't think he could. You get cracking, but those sore, I'm saying. He said it you could land he said, crack, yes, okay, and never mind. He uh. He pointed out that he's been practicing with a flak jacket on, so he's planning on playing with a flat Yes, but he's planning on playing, so he he practiced. I don't know the play. I

don't they made even revealed this injury. Yeah, you know, they probably list him as limited, not give him as many snaps to take some pressure off, make sure whatever snaps he has left. You do them on Monday, now on Thursday or Friday, So we'll see where that one goes. But a little bit of good news because he was on the injury report. Okay, that's good to hear. You know, the Cowboys wide receiving Corps gets a lot of pub and rightly so for the top three guys in Cooper

as well as Gallop who's obviously out and CD. But if you take Gallop out and if Cooper can't go, now all of a sudden, now Cedric Wilson's played well, but next man up, you're getting on down the depth chart there. If Cooper couldn't go and take it away. They have that luxury as well, because if you don't have to necessarily have a more dynamic wide receiver, you've

got two tight ends that you can lead on. I was just getting ready to say you played two tight ends and might pick the clicks going to be Dalton. Shouldn't anybody take them? Well? I mean the other luxury is you could pupil it in the slot. Yes, it's just so many things we can do you can get coming out of the backfield. I am we're back to love for him. To play. We're back to that chess thing,

yeah that you mentioned, right, the Domino's chess whatever. Because Pollard, can you know, you line you put him in and Zeke in the game at the same time the way they did several times this last game. You can disguise the same personnel, can You can motion him out into them and you can still run the ball if you want. Yes,

that's good stuff, all right. A couple of other guys I want to point out on the Minnesota defense when you consider their new defensive coordinator, Jonathan Gannon Minnesota defense, he was you're saying, sorry, I'm sorry Philadelphia defense, and yeah, he was with two guys that were with the Vikings who he coached in Minnesota who are now with Philadelphia. One of them is linebacker Eric Wilson, number fifty, who

had three interceptions last year four Minnesota. So that was a guy kind of like with dan Quinn bringing in Keyana Neil and Damonte Kasey here, you can tell that for Gannon, Eric Wilson's a guy that he targeted that he wanted to be in the middle of his defense and minebacker had three picks three sacks last year for the Vikings full time starter for them. And then the other one is his safety Anthony Harris, who was with

the Eagles last year but two years ago. Actually I'm sorry, he was with Minnesota last year and two years ago with the Vikings had six interceptions and so yeah, so those are two guys that he has a history with been in Zimmer's defense and now he was at Indianapolis in between Ben in Minnesota and Philadelphia. So two more guys on the Eagles defense that are newcomers this year to keep an eye on. And when we come back from break, I got a question for Everson Walls. All right,

that's when we come back here. On mix shots. At Smoothie King, we are blending goodness to fuel your greatness. Every blend is crafted to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. But before that, we need Mickey to ask his question of Everson Walls. I want to know if Tom Landry ever wore a T shirt to a press conference that

said beat Eagles. Stop. No a T shirt? You had a T shirt? Did you ever see her? I've never seen outside of that practice where he's lifting weights and he fill out a T shirt. He did have the white Dallas Cowboy, but most of the time it was a polo that's try. Yeah, that's try. The coaches. The coaches never knew a don T shirt could cause so much of a coming McCarthy, No, no, Siriani yesterday. Oh you didn't see it. Oh, I saw that on the

show yesterday. Dallas. Yeah, boy, everybody, it's gonna fire him up. That's come on, that's fun, right, fun stuff be Dallas. That's so you can't do anything right and everybody makes a big I was like, I'm glad I wouldn't didn't have to interview Cowboy players yesterday. And it wasn't like it was a four leather word, but it wasn't a

four leather word. Yeah, I'm right, it just said be Dallas, as long as it wasn't something else that's cool, like what OU says about Texas, Texas says about or what And I say this the former Redskins would have about the Cowboys, right, the T shirts that did, I mentioned it right on the show yesterday they sold outside the RFK Stadium. I have to go back and listen to yesterday. I tell you, yeah, I talked about that. I got flipped off. I know he did, but I don't remember.

So I'm gonna go back and say it. I'm gonna have to go back and listen to yesterday's Can you remember about when so I can just fast forward to about this time? Okay, all right, all right, um wow, we got a good football weekend coming up. By the way, before we make our picks on the game on Monday night and there picks to click. Well and um well, okay, we're gonna start the day tomorrow eleven am. You got SMU and TCU. Who's winning that game? Real quick, real quick?

Get TCU. He's got a pretty good team though. Okay, all right, you got two thirty at at and T Stadium. You got all I mean, you got arkinsas on Am I just like to say it, Arkansas. I'm going with Arkansas. I gotta see if they can continue this. I'm gonna go with the Razorbacks. See what they got. Who's paying you? You told me not Arkansas? Obviously, Yeah, sold and not enough. I'm not sold. So I'm not sold unless they put the backup quarterback in. That's right, if they put John

Stephen in the Arkansas. Okay, I was um. Tomorrow night. It is a night game afternoon for Cotton Bolls State. The Great State ferrip Kiexas kicks off today and tomorrow the game between it's the State Ferret Classic. It's Grambling in Prairie View. That's right. GSU was gonna win that. And we are really kicking button the Battle of the Band. So are you flipping the coin? No? Maybe you know, bring in something, I'll do it. Virtually, I'd be a hold.

So we're going with Grammin Yes, okay, yes, all right. Now let's fast forward to Monday night. Monday night. You've forgotten Missouri Boston College. That's at eleven o'clock tomorrow. Yes, I didn't mention Ou West Virginia either, or Texas Tech Texas. There's some good eats there is. Yeah, it's it's very good. O you who West Virginia tomorrow night? You know? Yeah, yeah, yeah better. Yeah, I don't trust start playing better. I'm clamoring for the back of Okay, Monday night, what happens?

Who wants to start? I'll start? Okay. I got cowboys coming out running the ball. Think they're going to control the clock. I think it's gonna be a hard fought game. It's gonna be pretty close, twenty four or fourteen. I say cowboys winning twenty four or fourteen. Think they're gonna move the ball to make me uncomfortable. But I think in the end it's gonna be a lot like the Rams. We'll we'll, we'll extend it towards the end of the game. Offer some mistakes offensively, pick the click. I gotta go

with the running game. We have to which one. I am not talking about the running backs. Okay, he's sent a running game and not talking about I want to see if I sent an uphold can hold up in the middle of these? Is your pick to click? He's my pick to click. Okay. Talked a little trash about him this week, kind of tried to call him a little weak link. I wasn't who did eagle clowns? No, no, no, no, no, no, the clowns clown Yeah, the pundits they tried to call him,

so he was the idiot because local pundits. How do you have a weak link? How do you have a weak link when you rush for one hundred ninety eight yards? They tried to talk about his pass protection. Well, they were sending a lot of people. They were, Yeah, I want to see him get pissed off and and just dominate. All right, So Tyler beyondish Cowboys run game and twenty

four or fourteen me to go? You want to get think I'm gonna stick with the weird scorers since we were talking about fourteen eleven, I got the Cowboys twenty six eighteen, twenty twenty six to eighteen, which would be the first time in Cowboys history there has been a score twenty six to eighteen to guarantee, right, Well, I don't know the roofy games. I've been in some roofy guys. The Eagles might kick six fields. Only in the NFC East,

can you have a score like twenty six? Well, with this new age coaches, you know they go forward and that's right, you're gonna get some weird scores. Yeah, making them missing them twenty six to eighteen. Who was your pick? A lot of field goals, A lot of field goals and six field goals for the Eagles to get eighteen. I didn't say that, now, No, no, they you know they can go fourteen. They'll go for two. Yeah. I can get two touchdowns and missed extra point two field goals. Yeah,

you can't get eighteen. Huh? All right, should pick the click I'm taking Dalton Schultz. I think the cop Boys. All that's right. You very forced to use a lot of two tight ends, and they can throw out of that. They can play action too. That's right. Look out right down the mill, Dalton man. That's what they running game is gonna do for him, set up the tight ends. Okay, last time the Cowboys faced the Eagles, what was the score? Thirty seven seventeen, thirty seven to seventeen. That's what you're

going with. Huh, I'm not gonna go to the same score. I'll go, I'll go. You wanna go weird again? Yeah? All right? Um, how about thirty thirty three to fifteen? Okay? Wow, so you're only getting five field goals thirty three to fifteen. And the matchup of the night, he's going to be Davante Smith, the Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama against tray Vn Digs, his former teammate at Alabama. And you got and you got a quarterback from a LA named Jaylen Hurts.

He went to Oklahoma and I watched him play every single snap at Oklahoma, and I'm just telling you when he gets to the red zone, lookout, Cowboys are going to continue to leave takeaways. And Trayvon Diggs is coming up with not one but two takeaway against his former teammate jay Lena Hurts. I can't before It'll be a throwback throwbacks. He'll be eighteen eighties when Everson Walls had multiple multiple interception games in his career. But he's gonna

be ahead of ever since rookie interception record pace. That's right, he'll be it. If he gets too. Ye be at four and four games and you keep getting him on Monday Night football, he might catch me there as well. That's right. Do you have a Monday Night Football record? Oh yeah, Oh yeah, you didn't know that. I'm not. I was the first prime time Oh, yeah, how many. I don't even know they tossed out. I didn't, I didn't.

This is what they told the twenty fifth anniversary. You many had the twenty fifth anniversary of Munday Night Football or something like. Yeah, that's when they came up with this stet. I believe it. But there's been a lot of games since then. Yeah, but there had been there as many interceptions since then. Okay, right, well, i'll talk about that. Mine still standing. All right, we'll talk about that Sunday. We got one more thing before we close

this out. Where are we time? Our pastime? So halftime, halftime ceremony. Okay, Jimmy, Cliff, Harris, Drew Pearson, they get their Hall of Fame rings right right? Right? Oh, I know where you going? Go ahead? What no, go? How many of those guys are in the Ring of Honor? I said, go? How many of those guys are in the rig of water? One? Two? Which ones? Drew, Drew and Cliff. Okay, here's here's what I do. Free agents. At the end of that ceremony, look up there and

unveil it. What do you think you've been listening to Michael Irvin too much? I have not he already said it, did he really? Oh yeah he was. I'm saying what they were gonna enduct, what they need to do. Jimmy doesn't like to travel, right, he likes to stay on this boat. Yeah, exactly. He got him here. You got all the hair on his boat. You got all these players here, rise everybody, and at the end of the

ceremony say Jimmy, there you go, unveil it. And then that would take away from the other two guys getting their rings. Oh yeah, right, But the element of surprise that you didn't think of that by yourself, you heard, Michael, No, I did? Yeah, without you know, I think it's still special. You have two undrafted free agents in as well. You know, I don't know, do something special about that. You know,

we're doing something special. They're getting their Hall of Fame rings. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Well, when we get to the stadium, we'll look at the facade and see if there's any drapes up there. And I got another one too, All right, who who's going into the Hall of Fame. Who's going to be voted in in February? Darren Woodson? Yeah? Who else? Go Marcus? Were which of those are the Gang of Honor Darren Woodson. The Cowboys played the Broncos later this season. Listen to

this guy, he's got too much time. Well, I tell you what, Cowboys, most of the Broncos. Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Twenty fifth anniversary of the Hell Mary. I thought Jerry missed a great opportunity to put Drew in at that time. Remember, they celebrate, So I know what you mean by coming from that standpoint, you know, makes it special. I think I think you kind of stuff Ring of Honor when the Broncos come here, and then do you take that off the plate whenever they

vote for the Hall of Fame. Oh, he's not in your Ring of Honor even he can't be a first ballot Hall of Famer. Yeah right, okay, those are my Those are my mix shots the show. You go all right, speak speak okay, and we will talk at you Tuesday. After a Cowboys win over those Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night, Go Cowboys. They move into first place. In the first place has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
