But Amazon said it's breaking up shows and movies with advertisements to allow it to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time. So US customers who want to keep the ad free viewing experience with no ads, you're gonna have to pony up about
three extra bucks per month. If you're a Prime subscriber, You're gonna soon get an email before these ads are introduced with all the info and how to switch over to the more expensive advertising free tier. I had it because it was neat, it was I've had androids ever since, mostly Samsung's all right, I'm a green daughter. I rarely talk about Apple or iPhone, even though I have mentioned a little iPhone fifteen today, a little light day. If Apple wants to increase its share

You know, you know what it's it's football season. It's if you're listening right now, you got one eye on the TV. We've got college football. It's also the grilling season two and I've
already started. I started about three or four weeks ago. I guess I. You know, I grill year round, but when it's football season, it's big and I've stocked up. It's so simple for me to grill because you know, I talk about, uh, this this local company here with with absolutely the best cuts of meat you can custom water. When you get like a side of bee for a quarter side of bee for what have you.
It's Thomas Cattle and Catering Company. So if some boys come over, I just go out to my freezer refrigerator and I just pop them on my my grill. I want to continue to talk about this because I just think it's one of the just the neatest, most convenient things when you're in Texas and your meat lover, Anthony Thomas, that's where they get the name of Thomas Cattle and Catering Company. I got him on the line right now, and you know, Anthony, I'm on the radio. I'm gonna be off
here less than an hour. I mean, you got some time to come over and help grill and tell the story to all my guys, and how great absolutely love to tell the story. I posted some photos on Instagram. You saw him too about it? What was about a week a week and a half ago of when I was doing some of your hand some of the hamburgers that you that you process, but also a few flass of steak number one. I got a great camera. You can almost see the sizzle when
I posted on my Instagram. But I got so many comments, and I'm like, people, if you listen to the show, you understand what I'm talking about. How he does it? You are it's it's an I'm gonna call it an atypical but an incredibly smart way to buy meat and beef. It Generally people go, Okay, well, I'm gonna go to the store HB or Walmart, Costco and I'm gonna get a you know, a few pieces of meat. You're in the listen, I'm gonna I'm raising steer.
I am going to listen to you for the perfect cuts of meat that I want, and you were going to deliver and this and you stock the freezer, and you are the correct You're pretty much the only person from the from the farm of the ranch almost until you know it gets to my house,
aren't you. Yeah, so that's right. And you know so in today's day and age, with the rising population of humans in America alone, let alone in Texas, the corporate packing plants and the people that supply the grocery stores and the wholesale chains with beef, they're trying to take every shortcut that they can to produce more product as quick as they can in the volumes that
they can. And so what we find is and a lot of the stuff's getting exposed Michael on these reality food shows on Netflix and other streaming platforms. But what we find is that there's a lot of foe stuff. There's a lot of additives and chemicals being approved by the USDA allowed to be in the
beef that we buy from the store. And so we actually provide you a direct from the source beef product to where you pick out a steer from our ranch and then we bring it to the processor and get it custom butchered for you, dry aged, and then flash posen and vacuum sealed for you and you get to choose exactly how you want that steer to be butchered. So
it's a really old school concept that we're bringing back to Houston. Our customers love it, and most of the time people don't even know that we exist. So I appreciate you having me on the show. It's on an information guy listen, and for what twenty two years I've been doing it. People like, hey, Michael, what's your opinion about this? And it's not
just about tech products, it's about all the consumer products. And I do my lot of research and I found out about you met you totally understood what you know the process is and it's it's it's brilliant because number one, it's you just talk about it's the process. It's and people love meat man,
I mean anthem. You picked the great state to do this thing. And even though you kind of sound like you're are from Australia, but you do live here in the Houston area and these are Texas raised and we love our great state of Texas. That's why you're here. But I do the research and the fact it's not only is it health year for you, not only are the are the cuts phenomenal, Like I'm posting these photos, is like
where did you get that stuff? And obviously I gave me your name, But also I'm a price guy lesson you know, for years when I started, I'm gonna tell you, everybody's like, oh, should I get a Sony television? Should I get this? I'm like, hey, man, it's great, They're they're great products. Let me tell you something just as good as a product. But I'm gonna save me some money. And this is what you do. But people have to understand it. I bet you
go through this all the time. This isn't like, Okay, I'm just gonna buy a pound here, two pounds here, and you know I'm gonna walk out with you know, twenty or thirty dollars this. It's it's an investment, but it's the end of the day, it's a smart investment because you're you're you gotta buy quarter side of beef, half a side of beef, and I know you sell by the entire side of beef. You do have to outlay a little some money in front, but man, it's it's
worth it. I know you've done research and data, Anthony. I mean, how much savings just generally average, you know, can you get by buying it your way? Yeah, So you know today's economy, a lot of people are living paycheck to paycheck, but if you're plan ahead, So what we've done is with we oughtmized out everything that you get from a side of beef when you're ordering a steer from us, and we priced it out with Walmart's pricing, which is obviously the cheapest and nastiest meat that you can
get here in Houston. And what we found was with everything that you get from us on a side of beef or even a quarter, it was on average two dollars a pound more expensive at Walmart across the board than buying a side of beef from US. So it is an initial upfront cost because you're buying all your beef for the year to put in your freezer all in one go. But it does save you tremendously by the end of the year because
you're beating inflation. You bought all your beef, the highest quality beef that money can buy one time at the start of the year, and so by the time inflation and rising costs get to you by the end of the year, you're still eating that same beef that you paid for at the start of the year. That makes total sense. Anthony Thomas joining me. He is with Thomas Cattle and Catering Company. I got a few emails coming, but

Do we're having a debate about beef and listen, this is this is your business, so maybe you can settle this thing. But steaks, all right now, maybe not be the biggest steak guy, But when I was
cooking your steak, I was wolfing that thing down. When people call you and we're gonna give them your number, you're the one who personally talks to them. What types of meats do you want? I mean, do you want the leanest you know, the beef? Do you want some marbling? So we're talking about the thickness of steaks and I was cooking a steak it was probably maybe about an inch and a half thig and one of my boys, he's like, I want the thickest marbled piece of steak. He says
something like five or six inches. I mean, I guess you could do that like that. What is there a is it a personal preference? Is it our proper size? What do you think is the ultimate like inch thickness and marbling when you when your custom roring steaks from you. Yeah, so good question, Michael, Because I have an elaborate custom cutsheet. When you buy a steer from us, you get to customize exactly the way you want
to steer cut. And so because I fill these cut sheets out with the customer personally, you know, we have a lot of variations on what people like. Of course, the people there's some people that want to cook a steak really fast and they don't care about it being medium to medium rare, and a lot of people like medium well even, and they usually get a thicker steak. For me personally, I'm a rare plus to medium rare guy. I like an inch and a quarter to inch and a half thickness.
But the beauty of it is is you're actually buying the steer. You're buying a clear sheet of canvas, and so you get to choose how everything gets cut with us, just the way you want it. We'll work question over here because I'm just fielding them as they come in. Is it possible to split a side of beef with neighbors or friends? And how does that work? That's actually a very good question. I bet you get that a lot.
Yeah, sure it is. So a lot of families and communities and friends at work are rallying together to split a quarter and split a half side of beef and split a whole steer, going in together and then driving over car pulling to the process of where we take our steers too to get custom butchered, and doing it like that, and really rallying together and saving together, and in times like this, this is honestly the best thing you can
do, because they don't want us to live this way. They don't want us to be in community, they don't want us to go off the grid and say, hey, we're not going to be at the mercy of these chemicals and these and these prices and these food shortages, and so we just we just crop, we just tick off all the crosses, and it's honestly,
it's a really good way to feed your family. Knowing what goes in your family's freezer, knowing how good the taste and the quality is going to be every time, specially in football season, because the hamburgers and the steaks and the grilling. There's nothing worse than getting a bunch of guys together and biting a bunch of family over and and you've got this plan to have this big barbecue spread, and then the beef just really ain't that good. So
we tackle that here. The only thing worse than that is when you walk in your and your team loses. Can imagine having crappy beef and your football team loses. So far, I'm undefeated. I got my taxes, longhorns, they haven't lost, and I've got some the best beef I've served to my guys. Man, So I'm just I'm a hero here. You can be the hero when when you buy a side of beef and you know it's gonna be dang good every time you feed some feed it to somebody absolutely said,

Can air pods work with Android? Oh? Good question, Hine with the war between the Android versus Apple. Good question. Well, yes, air pods. They've been around since twenty sixteen, and there's a lot of versions of them right
now. There's the AirPods, the AirPods Pro, the AirPods Max. They were actually made to be used with Apple devices, shockingly, but because they're Bluetooth, Bluetooth can pretty much work with almost anything wireless. So the short answer is, yes, AirPods do work with Android, but AirPods are compatible with any Bluetooth device. However you're gonna get You're not going to utilize some of the features of the air pods when you're using them with a non Apple
device. So you can use your air pods right now to talk and listen on other Bluetooth devices, but you can't use Siri now. This is according to Apple, and other air pod features won't work when using a non Apple device, like ear detection or the double tap function on them. Now, if you remove your air pods from your ear while listening on a non Apple device, the music will not stop and pause like it normally does. So
yes, but you're not gonna get the full features. So I bottom line if you want to know how to pair their air pods to a non Apple device, so you turn on your Bluetooth on your non Apple device, you go into your settings, turn on Bluetooth, and if you have air pods or an AirPods Pro, you open the lid of the charging case with the
earphones still inside the case. Okay, on the back of the case, you pressed these set up button and you hold it until the status light turns white, and then the Bluetooth settings in your phone you start looking for air pods and you wouldn't you see air pods Boom? Okay, there you go. So for some reason you said, you know what's good, I'm sick of iPhones? But what am I doing with my air pods? It's it's still actually going to work. These are things that you need to know,
and I am here for you.
