Last week was pretty busy. We were out over at kick the week off. We started off with Meat Connect Puff. On Thursday, I attended Opening Day downtown at the Meat Connect Puff. I was kicking with a couple of our partners,
and then Saturday was Hashbash and Hashbash Cups. We're gonna be diving into all those events and instead of pre recorded, we figured ship let's just go live and that's what we're doing. at any of those events or a different event, let us know. It's definitely an event season like it's getting warm out, so I feel like events are puffing off. But you know, I really like the Brooklyn every time we go to Brooklyn, So like the meat, Cannet Puff events like it was cool. It's like I feel like I've been there a few times now, four or five times. Yeah, I would say, just because I
feel like they're one of the only events bases that's really really cool. But and like it's a pretty cool central location but also like kind of off the being path too. I don't know, I got the indoor outdoor vibe too. You know, you got like the grass turf on the back or on
the outside. You can fit a decent amount of people too. Like me, Connect Puff used to be held at this place called hot Box Social and think about hot Box Social is it was first like Metro Detroit area Consumption Lounge and now they're shut down, but it was probably about like half the eyes if that, you know. So like now that we have that and have been in a Brooklyn, it's kind of like a nice little thing before we get too much into me connect Puff. You want to talk about like this
obvious thing to send you? Yeah, yeah, I mean you put it here, so I feel like you kind of want to talk about this is going to be sitting here for a while here, that's right, No, no no pressure on me not breaking in Jesus, I didn't even think about that, dude. Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's just jump into the hash bash Cup right well, no, just literally just talk about this real
quick. We can start with the meat connect puff. You don't have just I want to say a couple of things about it, you know, like I want to talk about it. Oh well, then okay, whatever you're doing. I mean, because if we are going to talk about it, Hashbash Cup shout out, we were over. I entered the city, I entered in the Satifa category, entered Bangering. They had the entries back and you had to drop them off back of March six teeth. I think we
dropped them off so a couple of weeks ago. And the cool thing about it is took first place first time entering in the hash bash cups. I was pretty geeked on that. But the thing that I love, man, was I want to make it. I want to make it known. Because everyone everyone has their goals. Everyone writes down their stuff and you manifest it or you know, you're like, hey, I wish I could do this,
I wish I could do that. Just got to continue to put that work and effort in, and I truly believe you can pretty much accomplish anything you want. Didn't enter any cups last year, but my goal this year because I was dealing with some problems within the Girl, and my goal this year was to enter some cops. Me and Groovery were talking about it going in the new year and put on my goals enter the hash Bash Cup. I even put it on my h my god, what do you call that
that you make going into the new year. I made like a collage where I posted all my stuff that I was trying to focus on this year. Oh my god, I'm blanking on the name of it board vision board. Thank you. And besides that, the vision I put on there, I want to enter the cops and win more cups. And when I set up to grow in December and I was like, I need to have I had to have. I had to start it on this date to get it to this day. I was even telling Groovy before because he came out with me
the day to enter the button. I was like, bro, I don't even think it's I don't think it's ready. It's still not. I don't think it's cured enough yet. All my mishaps of me overthinking like I always do everything besides the point we're still able to claim first place. And I want to say thank you to my boy Groovy, you know, always helping me out there, pushing me. It's a motherfucker. Yeah. Sorry, I'm just I'm trying to fix Instagram things, so it's harder to pay.
It's a whole other level. It does a whole other level. But we bringing it live to the folks and I hope you guys enjoy it. It was a great weekend. That was such a fun day in a moment, you know, you worked hard for it. Bro Like, shout out to our our crew that was with us. It's groovy. We had uh Nate, Dave, we had Adam, we had a Quills, we had Emily, So shout out to the scene that was with us. We actually had a little bit of a group with us. I thought that was pretty cool.
Yeah, it was a lot of fun. No again and hashbash Cup. Like, I mean, I just want you to say that piece. There's so much more I want to dig too into just about it, but like like I think, I mean, if you want to dig into it
and work our way backwards, we totally can't. I just think it kind of makes sense to start with like chronicological order because it was such a busy few days, because like because I really want to start with the whole day and hashbash and break it down because we had such a crazy, like NonStop day. But it was fantastic, and I you know, Dave Cobb so bum We didn't run into you. I did message you back, but shout out Jamie Lowell. Jamie Litle actually asked us to get as much video and
audio as we could. So what I heard was get every fucking ding, So I got, well, maybe I missed the first five minutes. Sorry audio man, My bad dude, Like traffic was kind of a bitch, and I woke up with a blazing migraine. I did not get groovies, Like are you sick? Dave? Dave started that day at zero and that day had one hundred. Like there was like like literally like I'm not even saying. Dave was kind of having a bad day. He didn't even know
what he wanted to like go then Dave is he loves weed. So like my migraine, I walked in. He was even even like what the the Fu's wrong with you? Bro your groove? He's like I've been geanked. I've been listening to Rack. Yeah, I was. I woke up at seven that day. I was like, I was like ready to go. That's why when I got there like five minutes late, I was like, my bad bro. Anyways, but we got everything, So that's why we were kind of on the steps the whole time. Yeah, so probably we
didn't run into Daved. Our goal was to find you. We meant to do a meet up. But then by the time I was recording everything, it was like a NonStop recording session and then they went late. Yeah they did. It was almost an extra you know, hour that we weren't planning on. It was supposed to be from twelve to two. WHI again, no big deal. Whatever is good content. It just was, uh it
was a busy day. But so that's no yeah. Yeah, so I mean, all right, so that's I guess we're jumping in the hash bash just a little bit kind of. But this is to meet connect Puff because me, Connect Puff was a cool time. I don't know, it's more
on the business side, yeah, less on the consumer side. Like I don't know, if I would say, like if you want to just come, it would be a good time, you know, if you do spend the like two three hundred dollars for a ticket, there are there decent amount of grabs, but usually they're trying to like it's a it's a networking event. But it was a good time. You know. We did a live stream thank you for everyone who was in the chat and popped off there.
Jamie Lowell actually went live with us a bit yep because he's been missing it and you know, he had a blast. Actually you kicked it off with us to start with the live there, Jenna. They were actually having a great time at me Connect Puff that it was so hard for to get because Carrie is supposed to have the speakers, They're supposed to be a speaker section that we were going to be live streaming. You probably heard that if you're tuning name, but all of them were like, nah, we'd rather be
networking because literally it's a g event. Like I will say, if you're if you're, if you're in the Michigan Canvas Community meet connect Puff is a good spot to be business wise, like metric wise because like a lot of people are there from brand some transport to purchasing the buyers ask sale like you could like so much networking, and like you know, we've definitely made recommendations to maybe do it maybe earlier if you're going to do anything, but otherwise,
once you're there, it's a networking event. Like there's great food, you know, a lot of stuff giving out like for example, giving out, you know a lot of a lot of good like a lot of good times. The hell of a networking man. So I just want to say that real quick before because like hash bash is definitely like the fun part to talk about, but I just wanted to it was it was a neat night, you know, honestly was. I mean, we're weird, jam packed.
We got a lot of good connects from the event that hopefully will be again in the podcast, potentially new partners and all sorts of things. And as I said, even for us, it was good networking, you know. Yeah, That's why I'd like going to the event for us, because it gets us to talk to some brands or see brands like like like Ghost Yeah Shout Miking Pros and Harry like Gohoes three one three. We were talking
to them for a while. They've been listening to us talking and they're revamping some of their new strains and stuff and just running back into them brought back to up top of mind like hey, this's a ghost. Yeah yeah, I mean dude, I honestly haven't seen around a minute. So it was like great, you know, and deep water culture is not like a heavy
thing, so I feel like that was very unique, right. Not everyone's doing it right, A lot a lot of right now you see like rock well with like Athena or a lot of a lot of people use rock Will as their base nowadays. Is what I see personally, because I mean we traveled all these freaking girls. I mean we've seen many different ones throughout and I would say that's just kind of what I'm seeing. But yeah, they do they do that, which I like, I think that's very cool.

Our our partner Jason had a great time at the event because I actually hairy through a secondary event. Yeah, but then that's what I was gonna say. So that that like butted up to another night at the Brooklyn. So that was a good networking event for like, you know, you know, he had to pay a decent amount to get in or you
had after a booth. But the next day they ended a free event which I think it was like smoking and there was boo, there's a bar, t and ship. Oh yeah, no, there was a bar. Remember. I couldn't remember because you said you were drinking and so I was like, I don't know. Yeah. So it was Opening Day downtown to Detroit, and that's like, I love Opening Day. I love going downtown and it's like a holiday them. I love Opening Day. But that wasn't as
packed, and it makes and it made sense. It is only posting about it for like a week or two not but also to compete with everything else around Detroit and Opening Day is probably very tough, but you're still going to make connections. We were able to hang out. I kicked it with Old School Jason and Rich. Shout out to our partners Old School Organics and also Emerald Fire because Emerald Fire was at the Meat Connect Puff Evan and they were
there walking around doing their thing as well too. Partners. But yeah, I was I took a So we're at the bar mee Jason and Rich right, or we're outside smoking and then he's like, hey, guys won't take a shot, well, you know, sure a shot? Why not one shot? I can do one shots Friday afternoon, Yeah of course, yeah yeah yeah yeah. And then first off, then Jason goes all right, tequila. I'm like, oh no, bro, no, no, no tequila. Then second he goes to eighteen hundred because that's all they had.
They had that or something worse, and I was like, oh dude, eighteen hundred. It's like nasty too, and it was so warm the shot glass, kid, you not, it was like this this big woo whoa shit. I'd be can of dead and drunk as fuck. But they literally gave me like four fucking shots at tequila. And I don't drink tula, So that ship messed me up. That was not good. I'm not a
huge fan of tequila personally. No I I listen, I understand certain liquors sit different with different people, and like, you know, I wasn't trying to turn up like that's all you did, Yes you did. He's a guy I want. But see, that's what fun. That's a fun networking event that see like the networking I mean on Thursday meeting off, it's more like, hey, how can we make money together? Hi? How are
you guys doing? What do you guys do for each other? What can we do where Friday was like, hey, how can we have fun together? And kind of like think it was kind of continuance. That's cool. I like to able to run into who do I say, Max from Cushmasters, So shout out Max. We got yep, we got some stuff popping off with Max here in the future as well too. But yeah, it
was just a little bit different than me connect Puffy. I mean they they had a little bit of food and stuff there as well too on both event days, So shout out to Harry and the team throwing both events. I thought that was. Yeah, it was a fun little It was like a way to kind of like do a freebie after the whole thing, and kind of anyone if it wanted to come. You know, you want to go chill off the beaten Path two, So if you don't want to go on
that chaos it was. It was nice because you were able to. I was able to hop on and hop off the freeway and be able to get right out of downtown because, let me tell you, that place is insane. After that game ends, the top of it. On top of it, they had a Wings game at seven o'clock that night. Yeah, I avoided that day, so it was like, what's up Celtic cannabis? Like that's insane, Like that's a lot of uh I got ig working. Shout
out if you're trying to figure it out. But it's all good. Yeah, man, cool couple Thursday, Friday, and we actually had a really cool interview last week which we'll be posting more about that. We had some really great female entrepreneurs and activist on uh we will we actually already we already posted Summer Sky and mel Melanie Ye shout out. They were great. So
we record that on Wednesday, Thursday Friday. That was crazy, and then Saturday of course was hash Bash. Now, like Dave said, we started off with a Migraine for Dave and I was all hyper and we had nonstoff. We actually had two other people rolling with us. We had a car full of people. Yeah, we were packed. You know, it was nuts. You know, we had a bunch of shit to give aways too, Like we were hoping to see more people. But I think that recording
took more time than I planned. You know, I just didn't mean to take all day. But I really didn't want to let Jamie down like either one I told him I was gonna do it. Groovy's like, if you tell Groovy and he's doing the job, he's not going to finish till the job is done. Don't know why I'm looking over there. He's not going to finish till the job done. That's just how he is. He is not determined. Actually reminded me. He's like, Yo, we don't have
an episode for Wednesday that we should do. We should only ash bang ering in here and then once it's full. It's like I'm playing. I would actually wait till some of the content you see, I'm about to shoot with this. We had some funny ideas and I'm sure you have to mind you like dying that day. No, I'm just kidding. No, I get it. When I play shows, dude, I get really nervous. And I knew I could tell you were so anxious, but I had faith like
that you could win. The crew had faith. But like we we didn't want to let you down either and tell you we all like we're talking like you know, we were like especially when we saw like we'll get into the cup in a second. But I really enjoyed the hash Bash. There was
tons of great speeches. You know, they were talking about issues, you know with the Second Amendment thing with Bob Reim I believe was his name, and then there was stuff you know, Summer Sky did a speech talking about like what she went through with her grandma, and other people are you know, I won't get in their stories, but they you know, talking about their their related their family, relating their personal relationship to cannabis and relating it
right. And then there was Hashbaster Hashbash John Sinclair's poem which was beautiful and shout out to There was a lot of remembrance for John Sinclair, for Rick Thompson, and for all the advocates that passed away last year because they I think Latrica said something. Amy Carter and Jaden we actually met Jayden that was really cool. Shout out Jayden. And if you don't know about Jaden's Law,
Jaden's Law isn't something they're trying to push through right now. Amy Carter and Ryan Wes Michigan Weedsters and some other great activists they're trying to push this through and Jaden's Law is that k through twelve people who need access to cannabis can be granted that. Yeah, you can actually be able to use it. Yeah, so they're pushing that right now. And it was actually cool to meet the man behind it. So shout out. My man's Jaden and
you know, so that was cool. So I just wanted to shout out everyone because there was some really cool activists and like I'm missing people, you know, like Native Cultivation was there where we shout Jim. We met at Jim last name, he throws ethogenic festo. He did a speech. You had Debbie Dingle do a speech. Yeah, that was pretty great. You know, it always need it's always good. And then we met someone from Panac. Yeah, you know it was something. I can't blink on his
name. I have a picture somewhere, but he was a politician from Paniac. Hid he would come on the podcast. That'd be cool. I doubt he's smoking, but he said, don't come on the podcast say that. I didn't say that, that's him. So we get sued. Everyone saw that, right hopefully hopeful ship. We were smoking the bang, so we're probably gonna be on off topic. That's why I knew we were gonna get
all a d D. While we were smoking. The man, this bang hits you in the fucking head and it's my first smoke of the day. I'm like cheesing right now. Yeah, it's pretty. I like this bag. Man. It's got that lemone tirt pine syle baby. That's what I always tell people because it reminds me to smoke on something that pine pines, lemon pine stalbaby. No, it does got a good smell, good taste. I had a I love this strange Well, we did stop by the
Monroe Street Fair, but that was all but like twenty seconds. But to be honest, though, by tom I've done it hashpashally. If it's not earlier, I'm so be I don't want to wait. There's so many lines. Tell we didn't get there's ready. It's like, do you want to go to the meeting? It was hard after doing it. Yeah, that's I'm saying. Well, we were hungry, and it's just like it's an amusement park. It's just like line line line, you know what I mean.
It's so many road streets start earlier than the die I get new because if it did, it might be better to go there in the morning, Like hit them in exactly, you know what I'm saying, get everything set up at the DIAC, hit them at eleven, and then walk back. Yeah, well we just end up having a late night with the cup because the up such a late night. It's kind of hard to get there at seven am and leave at ten to midnight. I would have been dead like
and then drive home. So that's really tough, you know what i mean. I'm just saying. I'm just saying, it's it's tough to go back to both. It is like it's just an it's a really exhausting day, but such a fun day. Like no shit, because you get all the advocacy in the beginning at the Die Again Neude. Like this Monroe Street Fair isn't like there's nothing wrong with it, it's just by the time, like you said, by the time, it's just so packed. For me,
we're up going and it's lunch. We haven't eight nothing. It's an hour plus to get there too, so like by by then, I'm like, I just want to see what's there, and we didn't even barely look. I think I was looking for food. But Monroe Street Fair is tight because they're the only thing with bathrooms anywhere in the area, you know, so you gotta walk over to Monroe Street Fair to go to the bathroom, and
then they have food and stuff. It's just like that. That's what I was saying, is like I'd just rather go sit down in a restaurant than wait in line for food. And that's that's why we usually did shout out, actually shout out win would We did actually go talk to Winwood and get good talk to them. He gave us this neat little yeah, what was it tea? I don't know if it was like a teet see enhands er thing. I have to really look into it more. It would keep you
mild high like not like but clear level. It was like it was some new product. He was asking us our opinion on him, but really always good to see him Eric. And then yeah, I just like I said, it's just so hard to wait in all those lines and there's a lot of it's merged and stuff, and like, yeah, I want to talk to the brands, but the cup's hungry, dude, I'm just and you want to go the cup too that and eat. You know, you smoke all that week at the diet, You're getting hungry. And the other things
that around you are edibles. So unless I want to get higher, like you gotta go find mushrooms. So you know, it's like I love ball, but like I want some I want some food in my belly. Water downstairs, Damn, I have nothing to drink. I might have to get some water real quick. But yeah, but then we made our way over the cup after we ate, which was pretty sweet for day. I would say, I don't know if it it's true, but I saw somewhere that it sounds that they're taking oh cool. I had to get some water.
I'm dying. I'm dying. These guys like going full screen on me. That's fine, that's fine. Well, as guy said, we went to the Hashbash Cup, which is shout out to uh mister Hashbash ed'ml broke for putting on the event. I mean, if you've never been, it's literally at a hotel and the whole floor is smoked out, and then within each room you have brands that have different products. They have food vendors, they have a competition for flower rosin vabes, edibles, pre rolls, rosin pre
rolls. A lot of the communities there you have metric entering the competition because uplifted one multiple wars, right, And I give them props for entering. Honestly, I give them props because like mister on the rossay, is anyone can enter and being able to enter, I think just as just Mill,
well, why would why wouldn't you? As a brand, Then you're like going up against all these other brands, and you know, well, there is sort of like a prestigious thing with hash bash Cup because it's been around for so long and the association went down to Claire and Hashbash and I like that. It's an open competition for that exact reason that no matter what you how you grow your weed, you can enter. Yep, anybody's anybody is
able to and I love that. And they to show you that just because you're buying it one way or the other way, doesn't that nessially means best. It just means who's growing, right, It's just quality because it's blind judged. There's I forgot how much you're paying for your I think you've got to pay for a kid if I'm not mistaken, GZ what's up Northwold appreciate the gift? Oh yeah, yeah, dope, dope. And there's just may there's as many entries as they want, Like there had to be like
one hundred entries. Bro like there was like seventy eight. They had ninety eight in some categories. Some of them had forty because they'd be numbered and then it was a strained name and then brand. But no, someone just asked if we had infused Tomali's. I was thinking, I didn't see those at all. Fuse Tomali's. I know, right, I would ate the hell out of those. I mean, we love the vild man like me
to me, That's what I'm saying. I was like thinking them, so I zoned out for a second, and because we're smoking bang ring, But yeah, no, I I well, and and I really enjoyed that they broke it up to you know, they broke up the categories too, because
I've also seen just like indoor fire, outdoor flower. It was kind of nice to have the INDICASATIVA because like when you're actually doing a growing competition, that makes sense to categorize it. Yeah, you know, no, that's I like how they had all the different categories and they did the flower. They did the solvent lists last. I think the rozen was last, and they got five g's remember they got like a grand prize, like a fun did they I actually don't even see that. We were so excited, dude.
We were taking pictures and videos for you. Bro. Yeah, I don't know who I blanked out after Sativa Flower, it was the last hour category called yeah, I don't know. Anything after that was like pretty much right. And then honestly, before that, we didn't even talk about this. The fire alarm was popping, and let me tell you, not in a good way. It was just like for the face. I can hear it still in the back of my fucking dude me. It's funny, it's
all good, don't be wrong. But the place is smoked out right. There's only so much they can do. But someone must have done some or pulled the fire under something. But they gotta fix it, you know, they gotta fix do it. It was a win off at like seven, seven fifty eight, eight o'clock, like right before the awards were going to start at eight, like someone found out they lost. They were just me and like like and it went on to like nine to fifteen, right,
it was. It was over an hour out because there was a point where I looked at Groopy and I was like, dude, I want to get an ear plug. So I felt bad for my friends, Like I was just kind of like and even me, I was like I was getting sick of it. Yeah, I won the dip. Yeah, but at the end they you know, they it was dude, it was it was. It was loud. Yeah, it was loud to say, like nerve wracking. It was just like because you couldn't even go in the rooms really and
not focus like you're walking in the room. I mean, thankfully, it was just for a bit, right, It wasn't the entire time we were there. But I think what made it worse is that you still had that bit of that migraine going on and that anxiety. Plus Like I wasn't anxious, right, I was, oh, duh, duh. It's like when I go play it the organic cup, You're like, too, what's what's up? Like you seriously, it's got other things on my mind, Like I know, I know. So that's why I was in Like, honestly,
we almost left, like we almost definitely dipped. Man, we we almost did. And I was at that point where I was like, ready, hey, it was it was just a long It was a long long that our drained me more than anything else. By the way, we are doing a full episode live, which is neat but you know always has. Some were smoking on dab on the comment stuff. We might even take a dab break because it's staring at me in the face and it's just it's just
like it's staring at me. You should take a dabs, like let's go. Do you ever just look at your dab break and you're like, I got my puff? I like it. remember. We were just like I was like, I was like, let's go, you know, and I did think and what I really like to see like this year, what I like you said with the uplift it and then like with that company I haven't heard of endo like shout like offering people
to like join Metric that won the cup and stuff was Jason. Well, my whole thing is that I enjoy seeing that some companies are trying to take that effort to like what we're doing bridge the gap between like oh, wreck only met only Like you know, why don't we just like make sure that if there's one patient that the med exists and as long as one person just wants to get liddy toddy, we have some wreck Like that's just like that's just like that's what it is, right, Like, so it to me
less hate more bridge, right, So that's what I'm saying, Like, that's why I like sitting uplifted. That's why I really enjoyed seeing those companies, regardless of their background. I don't know much about those companies specifically, but just at least that they're kind of like, hey, like you know, CARRGI for culture, like you see North Coast in that bitch. Every North Coast is about that, right Like you see certain people in that bitch
about you don't see some companies. The guyl Brook even said some of those some of those corporate guys don't come down here. They don't because I feel like there is that nervousness of like, oh, you know, it's gonna yell at us or like whatever. Because I'm sure some of them are getting watched and stuff like we've heard, which we won't say any companies, but like we've heard like people get in trouble and it's a real thing, so you know, but some brands are like, no, we're doing ship right,
fuck you? You know, so you know pretty much pretty much. What about the dam I was gonna ask you for one of those. Wow, I got ship. I come on, come on, come on, Champ, come on camp. You mean I think I tried Mombo. What was the other one? Oh? You tried the other one? Oh? Then I didn't try Mumbo. I tried to one of them. He tried race feel let me try Mumbo, you can. I mean I have anything a great, which is pretty good. I'm allowed good. I said,
by anything great, I have this nice. I got the Sea Junkie magic marker joined too. You're a gifted shild now. Oh that was actually pretty good. That's why I brought another one. I ended up having multiple because I grabbed that too. And like when we went to the oh yeah, when we were in Hashbash before Hashbash Cup, we forgot to shout out information entropy. We stopped by their little like hash Bash party. That was dope.
But I didn't enjoy it as much, but why you were fucking dead And it was like not it was loud, like not even kind of loud. It was like and Dave said, like right in front the speaker, and I'm like, dude, what are you doing? Like He's like, I'm like, I mean, there's no where you I just then eventually went outside and just smoked the joint, which was cool. That was pretty more it was. It was good, but they had some sweet as they you didn't have that migraine. I was having a great time. I got a
little known card. I took three different debs like I was having a great time Freshly fine known and information enter be and then information Enterpy fresh Drop. So it was like, what the fuck? It was something og I went back to find out too. So you still forgot. Yeah. I don't want to say like face slap, but it's not face slap. I think your face is slapped right now. Thanks man.
