What's going on everybody? It was funny free times like this, and I'm a candidate con say a new episode of my Canic cast today. We got a couple of great articles and we're gonna be doing a new review. Yeah. We picked this up at our base city trip and we are reviewing Cheech and Chong's brandom flower that was grown here in Michigan. So we'll get into this. There's also some articles coming out of California with possible realization of psychedelics.
I've into that World Anti Doping Agency pretty much as if you use cannabis, you're not a role model. Massachusetts is hit is hitting record numbers more than that. Uh yeah, it's it's very interesting because we'll get into that. I got some good takes on that, and then there's a couple of other articles, some in Michigan as well too. So but before we get started, I think we're gonna dive into this. Let's do it, let's do it. We actually haven't done a flower review here in a minute.
We've been doing a lot of rising. So yeah, I'm I'm gonna I think be excited for let's do this. Let'm excite it. So like I like I stated, we're doing with the Cheech and chunk. Do you remember we got the set again? Oh? Man, you had the receipt in that bag right there. It was right there. It was a certain dispensary. We were out in Bay City. So last week, if you didn't check it out, we had an episode we talked about Base City. So when we were on Bay Brothers, yep, Day Brothers. So we talked
about it. And so they're the exclusive growers of this supposedly right, because that's what they said holders. I don't know if they're maybe I don't know if they're the cultivators, but I couldn't they are the ones who sell it. I didn't really understand everything. So, like I said, if you didn't follow a last week's episode real quick, it was a cool dispenser, really really nice people, really nice people. Actually they gave us some shirts
too, So I don't know if that was Jay Brothers. I think that might have been the can you give me handing the receipt real quick? I feel like that was like the LLC. I don't know Nature's Yep, Nature's medicines, that's it. So it's Nature's Medicines in Base City. Uh, different approach, smaller dispensary. Uh, they only had a few different well they had they had a lot plenty of stuff, like different stuff, but they had they had like not as many companies, if that makes sense.
They had a very limited it's like almost like a micro grow. It was like a micro business. But then they only had brands that they like partnered with, so it was a different approach. Really nice people like you said. The only people that had cheech and chongs, they were definitely in Base City, the only people that had this flower. So we're curious, we try something. Yeah, I got some grease monkey, So we'll get into
this packaging. We're just given on packaging. Well, I noticed on the bottom it does tell you HC and yep, th HC is twenty five point four nine. HC is twenty eight point six eight. It looks like CBD
zero cbd A is point zero point zero five. Excuse me, so very fresh too, Yeah, harvest day was to less than two months ago, like seven weeks ago, six seven weeks ago, so we'll see, so it should wait, it should be as fresh as it should be right first, But it looks like but to talk about the packaging, real quick.
They give you a decent amount of info what happened with the barcode when you oh yeah yeah, So I scanned the bark out on the box and it took you to the Cheech and Chong like their website for their cannabis brands. And what was cool about it to me was if Groovy showcases. If you look on the lid groovy of that, it says low rider, lowrider, right, so the cancamp so on their website chief on hunks cannabis dot com,
there's probably Chongs. I'm just probably looking at yet Cheech and Chong's cannabis dot com. It breaks down their products, right. So they have these different categories like love Machine, Stadenko, drueler off Airy, and then you keep going down and you get to lowrider and they have a description of what their lowrider is just about to pull out on camera and he moves in bad.
This guy he's just like that slow rider and they have descriptions slow down your day, turn up the music and ride easy with this one man with that classic rich man. I could not say man, he man, No, he's man with with that classic rich West Coast hope that Cheech and Chong helped immortalize the lowrider. It's for the authentic and the original, and then it tells you the products flowering pre rolls, the turpeene profile, which they're
going for pining and humoring, and the traditional profile. They have indocodominant. So for me, they say it's grease monkey. Is this strain? So I would assume grease monkey fits into this low rider category for them. So it's a unique way on how they're articulating because it almost because I said, we talked pre talk. It's almost like they're going backwards a little bit.
Instead of going from like strain to turpine to how you feel, it's more like going from how you feel to turpines, right, because like you fit in this category, this is what you're considered your loan. It's the same thing. There's no difference because you're like out of this world. And I get that. But because they probably said that, it's smart because when you talk about, you know, how these things make you feel. We always
talk about it. It's in the head or it's sedative or somewhere in between, and they just figure out the way to go backwards. And I liked it. So I'm packaging. Yeah that was. So I don't know if I like the smell as much because I think I like when that piny gas hits. This is more like it almost smells like smelling like an ipa with a little bit of gas funk to it, but you can do definitely get the pet you definitely get the smell right off rip. You know, it's not like there's no smell.

I thought that was the original scale system changed. Yeah, I didn't make this up. It look and feel, it's got nice purple hues to it. When Groovy was showcasing it, it's very frosty. I
just I probably give it an eight on the look and feel. I would like it to be a little bit more dryer, just a little bit more taste, pretty drying. Really, it didn't break up dry, No, it's a little bit more. Wow, that's interesting. It's still a little it's still a little wet. It's interesting because it's probably because it's so fresh. But it's interesting because that's good though, because you want it like that, because it's gonna for for for market. It's and eventually start get a
little bit more of that pine when you open up the smell. But I swear, I just feel like almost like it's very hotty. I mean, it's actually got a clean ash. It's not a bad dude. We didn't care much for it. We'll get to price. Yeah, I mean it's right here. It's not like anything. It's right here. Oh wow, how much was it? I'm not gonna tell you, but we'll get there with them. No, but it tastes. It tastes decent taste. So
far, I've probably give an eight. You know, I'm probably like a seven, seven and a half, seven and a half maybe not quite a not because of quality, because it's smoking fine. I taste it. I just don't really like smoking hoppy weed as much. Every once in a while, hoppy like dab is okay to me, but like hoppy weed is almost like am I smoking an ipa? But that's not bad, just like because it's actually smooth and burning. It's product. I'm just going off just the
flavor. That's like extremely like just going off the flavor. It does burn pretty good, like you said the ash are we on ash? Now we just did. Yeah, that's the reason where I do the burning of the joint. It actually is burning really well like you just said, and the ashes so e and a half eight and a half doesn't. Yeah, if you look at it in like you can see it just a little yeah, yeah, I mean, oh yeah, like that, okay, fair enough a little bit all right? Yeah, eight and a half. It's not
ripping, it's not so I said, I'll give it. We also got a phantom up here that might be well, that's what I'm trying to say, showing it love because it's burning. Well, even if it's not like my favorite flavor, it's still burning. It's still a decent weed. Yeah. The fans aren't affecting the role. That's why I like our categories, man, because it keeps me even a little less bias or going. Okay, even if I don't like the flavor, it's still burn. It's good.
Yeah, you might like it, Yeah, if you like, if you like hoppy, but this would be up your alley completely because I'm not a huge fan of it. We're smoking it gets to the middle of No, I don't like dislike it. I just said, like, as far as grease Monkey goes, I've had some phenos that were a little bit more on, like the gassy and I really liked that, like skunky type of side where it's almost like it was so piny, it was like skunky.
What's the middle though? Every where in the middle of now and the joint actually fine eight yeah, I mean, if I'm not gonna lie to you, like the ash is actually really clean, like it's it's really looking at the price, it is probably a bad idea because now I know the price. M damn. Like it's solid. But especially for the price, because we almost like because it was there wasn't a lot of selection. I almost wish you would have bought more of the other eight. They had two different
strains about the other one for the price you know about them. Well, we could jump int a price and we can't wrap up on the end at the end, okay, because we're not quite done. Yeah yeah, and then we still got R and R Yeah. Price, dude, it was twenty dollars adult use sign eighteen dollars because we got a met that it was a night card discount. Twenty dollars for an eighth eighteen to twenty dollars. That's not bad. There's twenty dollars after tax with med and it's twenty five
after like with adult easy pretty so it's not that bad. That's after tax, that's out the door. I mean, I'm pretty impressed to be honest, because I'll be honest sometimes when I see cheaper, but these days I'm like, yeah, why I agree, Why why are you so cheap? Twenty bucks makes me. No, it's not that it's what's wrong with it. It's just that it's like, is it is it old? Is it this? But I remember, I think that's what made us buy it. As we saw the harvest. He's like, I will the other one's a

That's pretty fair for a market on it, even eight and a half. Probably Crewby's rolling the size something like what I just my eyes lit up because I think, if anything, I think for this the burning good bud. If I like the strain flavor, right, I'm trying to imagine if I smoke something that like I liked right
now, it's got a oil line. That's what I'm trying to say, is like, actually, it's really good bud for the price, I'd pay like thirty five bucks for this, Like, I mean, I'm afraid I've paid thirty five forty bucks for bud that's not this gun to me. I'm actually a little more just on that shock side. So I really thought you were gonna give it higher than eight, so I'm gonna probably give it closer
to it nine. So I almost want to say nine and a half because if you get down to the fifteen ten dollars at that point, it's just like there's not much marketing room for uh, It's just like you're it's just yeah, right, that's I mean, there's no problem. Like honestly, twenty bucks is fair like one bill like twenty bucks like for an eighth of solid. But I wouldn't say this is like, you know, amazing a plus plus bud like you know, but it is solid, good bud,
smooth man. So yeah, I haven't even I'm not dying when I'm smoking. It's smooth. It's hard for me to process it because I'm not a big fan of the Humillion stuff, but I'm trying to, Like, if I put that aside, everything else is good, so I can't complain. Really, it's like you said that oil line is shocking me too. Yeah,

California Assembly approves psychedelics legalization bill with amendments,
sending it back to the Senate for final pass. Marijuana movement so they've been going back and forth creating the psychedelic bill and if it gets passed now in the Senate it goes to the Governor's desk for legalization of psychedelics. So
what what would that include? What does that mean? Right? The allowable mount in this section of the bill has amended allow us for the following psychedelic possession limits mescaline four grams dmt one graham, psilocybin one gram one graham, or up to an ounce of a plant or fun guy containing psilocybin, and then pilisin one graham or up to one ounce of a plant or fun guy
containing silosin. What doesn't include in this is LSD or m DMA. They must have had that in the other revised bill and they took it out in this one. So no LSD or MDMA, I know, right, come on at that point, might get it leo at all. But it's it's cool to see this because they I think this is We've been talking about it like a lot this year, groovy and it just seems like psychedelics that wave is coming like fast. Like there's states now that are Michigan in the next
four years will legalize it. I don't know if it's going to be the upcoming election in twenty four because I think I think it might be on the baut in twenty four. If it's on the Ballad in twenty four, I think we legalize it, and if that happens, that's another huge check mark for that industry growing. Right, California does it before us. I think that. Well, because like dud, when you're talking about the World Anti Dopeing Agency, they're pretty much I think, like input into the
Olympics and stuff. If I'm not mistaken, right, and even if they're not World Anti Doping Agency, you're talking about cannabis, right, what what what? What? What? What makes this so? What makes cannabis such a bad role model or violates the spirit of the sport? First off, one of the most Olympic gold medals in history, Michael Phelps smokes cannabis. Used cannabis. The fastest man on Earth. Use cannabis, want gold medals? You guys kicked out Sean Water. You got you? Yeah, right,
water and land? Thank you Phelps? Was water and then uh and water. I meant say, excuse me, and uh, you've seen what was land? And then you kicked out shark Kari rod Richardson a couple of years ago because she tested for cannabis. So I feel like that's just like second and third place being salty. It's just annoying, Like, yeah, it doesn't violate anything. You have countries now that are legal here. You have states in the United States that are legal. You have countries in South
America, you have countries in Europe, you have Canada. Pretty soon there's gonna be be more legal countries than non legalized. Right for cannabis as the plant, and what are you gonna do? You still say it's it's bad like you have here in America. Well there's like sports players. See that's where I'm singing cannabis right, what I was gonna say. So, the thing is you say, though it's legal here, it's legal here, it's
but it's legal here. The problem is is that it's not you criminalized everywhere. That's the problem, especially when you consider this World Doping Agency is like you're talking Olympics, right, You're not talking like NBA because those are all these are all their individual per like per nation sports. blanket coverage because a lot of countries still look at it as dope. I mean they're literally called the Anti Doping Agency and they're looking at weed, like dude, you should be looking at steroids or all these other formats enhancing drugs like actually help increase your speed or your fucking This was like a food eating

They say in the article, dude, to repositive
tests into twenty twenty one. Even I'm not even scheduled here in America. America, the USA has such an influence that if all of North America is legal in canvas, which really just takes America, if you just descriminate to criminalize it, Kelly, Kelly, Canada's ready legal. So I'm saying we have all North, I have no all North of America. That's a pretty big influence. And then you just gotta nailed nail down these little countries in
Europe which are pretty much like giant states, you know. So you just, dude, and you're already starting to get some trend over there was it who we just I know, Thailand just went is representing the East. But how long is that going to be? Is that ten years from now, fifteen years from now? And then for them just to call them non role models is just the biggest slap in the face
because just because you smoke cannabis, you're not a role model. The greatest Olympians on this planet smoke cannabis, okay, and there's some and they're great role and honestly, probably most people Dave looked up to when he's a kid, where athletes, which we're smoking. So it's like, as I find out a lot of athletes, come on, you don't think Kobe Blaze, let's go, come on, man, come on. I don't know. I don't speak ill of the past, but like you know, I'm just
saying there's some people. There's a lot. You had all the Kobe jersey, so that's the only reason why he used him as an example Kobe. Alright, but yeah, yeah, no again, you're right, because then they do what does weed have to do with them not being a role bottle? I mean, even the people taking steroids. Massuns retailers now have sold more than five billion dollars in adult use marijuana since the state's recreational market launched five years ago. I know, you don't know how more there we go. You got so but anither way, I was saying five billion, and like that's a good milestone, man, that shows that they're improving and they're going upward. I did feel like it was a bit little corporated out
there. But it does seem like that anywhere looking in. I think when you go out, because you only recognize the big brands, you don't necessarily know all the little brands, you know. I didn't know all the little brands, otherwise I would have bought them. I just I bought lit farms because like we always the genetics. Yeah, I want to see how the
fire was. Where are we at? And I think we beat them a little bit in this, but we when we looked it up I looked it up earlier, It's like they have six point nine million and we have like ten millions. So we have like on the average, like you know, fifty percent compared to them, like how much more because we went we went on market same time as them twenty eighteens. When we went legals. I don't know if we actually we might have went legal a little bit after him.
I don't know when sales around around the same time. Now we're about to be a three billion dollar market potentially this year, right, I think it was. In this article though, they state that they've had back to back to back record breaking months, so cannabis could be starting to pick up there. In general, they said June July and
August June beat doesn't have to do anything with like location. I'm speaking like geographically, like yeah, but on the whole state, almost on a Massachusetts right, I don't know. I honestly, like, you know, I don't know. I've seen the rest of Massachusetts. It's chill. I drove through it. Yeah, no, no, I mean it's no. What I was trying to say is I still feel like and there was a lot of dispos You'd be surprised there was like just dispos the whole way. Every
little town had a dispo. Like there was a lot of weed in Massachusetts. So I think, if anything, maybe their legislation is slower. I think there's a lot of people out there that smoke weed. I think there's just last people like I think they're like right on the same path that we are, Like they like weed out there. That's what I'm saying New England smokes weed. Yeah, no comparison Michigan, though, good old Michigan.
We sold two hundred and seventy seven million dollars of cannabis and just at another Michigan is just continually to crush it. But yeah, that it's good. It's good to see these numbers because that's a ship ton of money that's getting sold, because that's a ship ton of tax money that's going to the state in the cities. You know, that's going somewhere. And then we're going to this next article which talks about Maryland and selling the record number of ninety
two million dollars worth of product, and it's second months. It doesn't make sense that we're going to be reporting a lot of record breaking stuff though, because like as cannabis is be new in every state, of course everything's gonna be record breaking. Because no way, I mean very I don't feel like we have hit that far in the wheat industry to where we're gonna start seeing
a decline. I think it's way too new. I don't think they're ever going to see a dec I mean until after like five years in each state. I don't think you're gonna see a decline. I really think for the first three to five years, you're just like ramping up for still learning there. Still you're still expanding. I'm talking about overall, but green zones are still expanding and stuff like. I still feel like, but after five years, I think that's when you start to see how your market's going to be.
That's why I think we're strong here. I think we're just saturated right now. I think it'd be really hard to like start a company right now unless you had very good product. I think it's just a it's a very competitive saturated market right now. Like it's a lot of people doing a lot different things. Prices as low as it's ever been so coming in this injury, it would be tough. Yeah, especially we're trying to sell a quality
that's actually you gotta have. You gotta have a quality product at a quality price. But quality always overselves. I'm just saying in general. Right now, it's just I feel like right now, until things maybe balance out a little bit, maybe like green zones expand and then prices go up just a little bit, Like you know what I mean, I think prices are going to continuously drop. I think right now we're just at a low point. I think we're just kind of as low as it's gonna be. Yeah,
and we're getting twenty twenty five dollars rosin twenty five dollars rosin. Dude, Yeah it was. It was. I was seventy five eighty dollars for a grammar Rozin over there in Massachusetts. Still, and they legal at the same time, So think about that. They have held their price as cannabis. We love cannabis. There's a lot of brands that have a lot of brands cutthroat price. I don't know how Massachusetts is becoming a legal brand. They
might be a little bit harder to get in. You might have more money, more capital, and that's why they have their price so high. Still, granted, I definitely love it here in Michigan. It's definitely for the user. I'm just saying as a grower, it's gonna be hard to start a brand round. Yeah, But I also see in time though, the brands that do suck, they will go away obviously because people aren't going to want the product and the quality of product. If you do have a quality
product, you could still make it into the market. I believe you can still thrive, but you're just not going to hit those capital numbers that you would have hit three years ago, right when the market was still smaller. In my opinion, that's just my opinion, because I mentionally I would love to get my flower in market. Maybe one day that'd be cool, would

And when I look at them these charts on the Maryland stuff, they show that the flower is still very very predominant, but concentrates is like a you know, twenty four million or whatever, twenty four billion, twenty four million, fifty five million, so it's still holding pretty strong. chain. I do remember hearing that was the news was I don't know. I don't know if there some of them were at other places. There was a store and center they have. They're gonna look they get gonna look into it, you know, But I just breaking into marijuana shops to meet I don't know. They usually have security on sight. They're full of cameras everywhere.
Yeah, if they're hitting them with so many charges, just like charge with breaking entering in a building, possession of Burgley choose receiving concealing stone property less than twenty grand, tamponing with everence, receiving and concealing a stone vehicle, fourth degree fleeing and looting, assault with the dangerous webbing, assault, restreet, assault, resisting obstricting a police officer, and driving was suspended. Like, my man's just one of them. He's getting hit with nine charges.
These are paragraphs. These aren't then. I hated with charge is like at least they like I mean, like that shit's crazy, no conspiracy. This is exactly how they hit you too. You're still sucking with people, yeah, you know, and as much as like some of these companies you might, like if you're robbing like Walmart, like
they got insurance, you're right, you probably get away with exactly. And that's what I was about to say, is like these guys are robbing them because they think there's a lot of cash and weed on site, but it's gonna be secure as shit. Like I don't can't believe like they got all less than twenty grand worth of ship, Like what'd you what'd you stay for? What it was that for? Because you think about this, you just
made a good point. Man. You can put all that work down to sell it, even if it's not Loom, they broken the other ones. That's hard money for these companies to get back. Like you saw what you saw what a well, because they can't write things. I'll test the brands here in the market. It it took brands months to get back on track like that stuff. so it could. The whole point was that it doesn't matter who it is. I still feel bad for them because now you're talking, you know, you gotta deal with all this shit. Hopefully there wasn't much damage. I don't know, you know. And that's the other thing is what did they have to break to get there? Did they shatter all these windows? Did this delay two three days of business? Did that that mean people didn't get
their hourly wage for two days? Tenders and managers and stuff, because now it's a it's a crime scene for a day, you know, because I think it happened like three in the morning, correct, but it was like I forget what day it was. It was like Tuesday, so it was like a middle of the week, you know. People. And that's what I'm saying. It's like there's a domino effect of who you affect, even if you think you're just attacking the person at the top. If you want
to attack the person the top, go watch person at the top. You know, Yeah, something like that. It's unfortunate. Desperate you know, you've known people steal all the time, and desperate times, I guess, you know. I mean it is it is hard times out there, It really is. Yeah, it doesn't make it okay, It's just more so it doesn't. I'm trying to make an empathy from it, some empathy, but then they it's still not cool. I hate the teeble who take that easy way out. I get it, Yeah, got you. We're just
getting robbed. It just sucks in general. Massachusetts article. It's just is just Michigan being a top market. There was an article that we're looking at becoming on the on the top markets in the nation, which is great. I think that's phenomenal for Michigan. Maybe we'll become we're becoming probably more of a tourism spot. I mean, Traverse City
is going lad there is legal. So now next year when you're coming going out there for all the summer stuff, there's gonna be more disposed and stuff like you're able to pick up your cannabis and travel like the ups cluttered with us dispensaries, Like Michigan is a great state for cannabis.
