420 recap & Kai Review

Yo, what's going on? Everybody? Welcome to a new episode of My Kid Cast, and I'm fucking groovy, so listen. We actually recorded thirty minutes of an episode for me to realize right in the fucking middle that I didn't have the audio. Like the audio was plugged in, but it has to like refresh, so it wasn't being recorded. It was just we were just hearing it. So we lost the whole recording of a review. The reason why we're jumping in the middle of this is because we started it off

with a review of Flower from the Best in Grass competition. The product was Kai. In the was Citrix, which was a cross of grapefruit and La Confidential. It's pretty good. Cool thing about Kai. I'm gonna go through this real quick because they have a little pet on the packaging. It tells you the flavor profiles, so it goes citrus, grapefruit, sweet, and

haze. Then it even gives you like a description. Citrus is a sativa dominant hybrid named after its intense citrus and grapefruit aroma, drawn from a flavorful grapefruit mother and a residous La Confidential man. So it's cool to give you a little bit of a description on it. Overall, it was pretty good. It smoked, It did lose a little bit of a flavor probably middle

middle of the of the joint wasn't as like citrus and hazy taste. I mean, I liked that they had the flavor profile on there, you know, the citrus, you know, and like at the end of the day, I pop the smell definitely popped on you. Yeah, and that's you know, we're just kind of having to sum this up because we don't want to not give many love because like at the end of the day it did

pass. It was like right tea or chattering at seventy nine. It definitely though, I think, because it was a little dry here and there, but cleaner end overall, we really enjoyed the high And for me, I like, I don't like the head high stuff because sometimes hits me too much in the head. This was kind of a little bit more balanced, candidate pointed out, And I enjoyed that kind of has like a slemony haze type of smell. Dave said, lemon skunk. Yeah, you know, I

think it kind of hit like back and forth for us right there. Teeter Todd the whole time. But overall, I think it we both passed for both of us just because at the end of the day, we liked the high. Yeah that, and I like that we were able to smoke it almost all the way down. Usually me and Groovy if we're smoking flower, we're doing a review and if it's not good, we're pretty much putting that out or I know for sure we we smoked it pretty much to the roach.

So shout out to Kay that that was really good. Yeah. I felt bad because we literally recorded all the video and then I just didn't have the audio going, and I like, we could hear it because of the way we're monitoring it, but I like didn't even really pay attention because yeah, life no. So it's so at the end of the day. That's again, that's how stone I got. I guess we Weready Paine Engine and

we really record for twenty minutes. Then we just started to talk about like four to twenty and stuff, and I was like, shit, I just like so bad, but hey, we just want to show him some love. So Kai Citrix, it did pass. It did Teeter Todder though right there seventy nine and eighty to be honest, but because of all the facts here and some of the little details we were able to like kind of pass

through. So it was it was still you know, I see why people loved them, you know, because like they're you know, solid flower for only thirty dollars an eighth is what we found, you know, because we did Best in Grass and again shout out last week's episode of Mark from Best in Grass, we were able to get a Sativa bag mainly because I think canadaate won the Satifa Cup hash passed cup, you know, woo woo. Yeah, but hey, hey, I'll take it. So it was a

solid first first round. We excited to dig into it and see how it goes. And like Canaday point out, I just want to point out because we miss this because I didn't record that. Uh, the companies, we'll get their feedback back and that's pretty sweet. Yeah, I think that's huge for the Best in Grass competition. That's what they some kind of stayed down compared to other competitions. You're actually getting some feedback on the product you entered.

So and they have a live live ceremony June eighteenth, which will be sending on Royal Love Music. Yeah, it'll be really cool. I think we hit every point on that, so good job Kai. We'll jump into the articles because there's only a few, and then we'll wrap up on so yeah as well. Now right, yeah, yeah, the episode maybe be a little bit shorter. Oh, it's definitely a sure. We just summed up twenty two minutes and five. So sorry that was my bad. But

full review on Kai. That's why it feel feeling bad, because the rest of these reviews were probably just gonna roll donks and smoke and write kind of like a journal entry so we can be like, oh, yeah, that was a good smoke, because I it's hard to break down each number every single time because it takes more time and then we're recording and it's like a whole thing where probably just gonna roll butch joints, smoke them. Oh that was really good, write some notes, probably because it's a lot to go

through like this many entries every time. Well, especially because we only have it's do you're about to gone days. Yeah, I know, no, I know, it's like good time speaking of that. Uh, they deemed it what back eighteen months ago to recommend to rescheduling it, So you okay, do now it's cool to talk about Well yeah, it's because you're in a presidential election this year, and that's that's that's why I was just cool, because this is stupid, it's fucking It's

just you're wasting time like you've had. You had eighteen months since they recommended it to urge the DEA to take a look at it, or urge Biden do something on this, and it's just been eight months since, uh or eighteen months sorry that they recommended it. So it's like, what are you doing now? Like I don't know, I'm just like fed up with it to be It's just like, get that they haven't even passed safe baking yet.

So it's like, you guys, you guys suck. Oh And I get what you're saying, because it's frustrating because you see that they rush to it obviously because now the money's talking right now and now all of a sudden, Oh hey, it's an election year. This can get me votes, this can make us money. Now let's get on this side. And didn't I say that. I swear I said this like people were gonna jump on this bandwagon. Oh oh cannabis. Oh yeah, but dude, it's hard

to believe any of these How do you believe that. I know, but how do you believe? I hate people who focus on the swing thing because it's so bullshit. It's just they just guarantee the left, guarantee the right folks on the swing people, and hope they bullshit those people and it's so stupid. Yeah, but look at Biden's track record. Look at all the or not Biden. Look at I'm sorry, look at their track records. You know, I don't know water Mien and Fetterman. I said that.

The reason why I use Biden as example because again I'm not like anti Biden or like not like pro drum. I'm not one of those guys who's super because I'm like not for politicians, right, I'm very much more in the middle. So for me, the Biden thing why I got pro frustrated is because he was so against cannabis. Then he was like so cool with that. It's like he's clearly just saying whatever fuck he needs to say. He's a tool, you know, are people like that are tools? Not just

Biden. I'm not one of those people who feel strongly about just Biden. I don't care about Joe Biden. I'm just saying a lot of people who talk like that are just doing that. It's just to get your votes, and it's a fly. Yeah, that's why I get frustrated. I'm sorry. We are now nearing eight months since the Department of Human Health recommended rescheduling marijuana to schedule three and eighteen months since President Biden directed HHS in the Department

of Justice to begin the process of reviewing. So it wasn't eighteen months when they recommended it. So I have once mixed up. Oh, I just said again, I didn't mean to pick on Biden, because like, there's tons of politicians like this. I'm using Joe Biden as an example because I've seen videos of him. But it's lock away everyone and then it's all cool. Like there's too many politicians who swing like this, who just like because now it's cool, now it's convenient. The Democrats have had time, I

mean, that's the thing. It sucks like they could have been pushed for this, have you. I don't. That's the thing left right, who gives his ship the right? This could say the Republicans in the same line. It's the same idea that you're just picking on a subject because now all of a sudden it's convenient and cool. I don't care about left, I don't care about right. That's what I'm saying Democrats. I didn't mean to use Joe Biden because everyone's like gonna think, oh, grooves or a crazy

Republican. I am not that. I am definitely not. Let me tell you, I'm far from that either. But I'm definitely far from that Joe Biden grab I'm none of that. My whole point is that I just think, think for yourself, and don't look do the research and see how these people really think. You know, I'm gonna look into we have to look into this war warren and fetterment and see if they actually care about cannabis or is this just like Dave's probably dead on. It's just a trendy thing to

be cool. And that's frustrating and that's why I didn't mean to lose my temper. But it's like it's just kind of like, oh, now it's cool. Yeah, you know, it's all those podcasts who don't smoke weed on YouTube, and then when it's cool, they're gonna smoke, and god been smoking the whole time, Like Loser's Length, You're in it for the wrong reasons in my opinion, I mean, in my opinion, who you know what I mean, Oh yeah, it's uh, it's stupid. We'll

see though. That's why I say, I just don't like that holes like you know, you're just lying to get people's votes. And because that's that's why I dislike a lot of politics, because I feel like that's a lot of people just lying. Yeah, why if you actually had those beliefs and you did things that follow those beliefs, and those people could be like, oh, he believes in that. But I can't really look at left right, I don't care and say they believe any one thing unless it's those traditional

things that it makes you left or right. Anything outside of that is so new that people are just using it to manipulate. So I might agree with you tenfold. Yeah, it'll be It's gonna be interesting if anything does end up happening with the deaf or the election over under, I don't know. I don't know. If I had to put my odds on it, what would happen? I mean, is it gonna go schedule three three before the election? I don't know. I I don't know if you can say before

I just have a feeling that it I mean, I I guess if I was to guess and speculate, I would probably say after two because it's it's a good it's a good thing to talk about vote non you know, if they can prolong it, then they can use it as a voting technique, and then once they get into the office,

they can do whatever the fun they want. So it's like, unfortunately, if it gets in the office beforehand, I think that would be cool, only because then that president has a lot of pressure to be the first president to legalize it and to go down to history. I actually I think it would be better for the I think it would be better if we could get out of the ballot before And I'm just worried they're gonna use it as a play for voting. I don't know. Ye, I've been hearing the ads already, so oh yeah, I've been here them since I know, but you know how it gets those last like few months, man, and then the last month it's last week. It's like back to back ads. It's like sometimes it's the same ad and they just repeat it like it's like, oh my god. Favorite when it's back to back to back to back to back. It's

just the whole commercials, like each different candidate. You're like, oh god, it's funny because I'll use a VPN a lot of times when I'm on stuff, so I'll be like they're like your governor for Illinois or like for LA or like whoever I'm in that like whatever city I'm In'm like, hell, yeah, there's your ad dollars going to work. I love it. I think those impressions are cheap, you know, right when you're buying the bullshit ones. Yeah, they're like what do you reach it? What doesn't

make sense? It's like, you know, you know, like you're reaching niche groups, like you're reaching them, like you're reaching everyone. How do you even know those people like them? Think about who you're talking about. Right, So some of that, and then some of it was like are you smarter than a fifth grade or some chuff that, Like I was not smarter than the fifth grader. I'm not surprised. There whoa. That was actually fun though it was a good competition. We got pretty

baked, I thought because it was weed based. I was like, well, dad has a chance. No, they wanted to put the brain to the test. I said, oh, because I I'll smoke everybody. I was like, oh, I'll smoke. That's funny. Get real baked, then do smarter than the fifth grader. That's tough. And we're just going smoking dab and smoking dabbon donut, smoking damning donut, smoking dabon donut, smoking devon donut. I'm on the sample d just just on that right there,

just right there, right there, twenty minutes. No, that's a good four twenty man, that's actually pretty good, though, she kind of like this, You know, I'm not sample it, I really might. like your type of four twenty man, just get baked and chill. I actually did the complete opposite and drove to the upside of the town and then it was an outdoor event which shout out to grass you know, Muskeigan. Great people, very hospitable, hooked me up with product. I got a gift bag, very well taken care of. The event was popping the whole time. The weather was just against The weather was just against everyone on the

west side of four twenty man. It was chilly out there. It was like mid forties, but which maybe high forties, which wasn't bad when it's sunny. When it was sunny and high forties and you had a coat on your this is fine. But then every once in a while the clouds had come out and it got windy and it was tough. But in June they're doing an event. I know they're doing late in the summer. Forgive me, I can't remember when, but like it was the weather was nice,

it would have been a real like that would have been popping man. And like it was still pretty busy at times, like you know, but I noticed that people didn't stay for long periods because I think it was just so chilly. After a while, people weren't dressed, you know, they came to smoke a joint or two and they did. Right. It's crazy because it's like seventy out today. Yeah, a week later, Michigan has record.

I mean even the day before that was warmer. But yeah, crazy, But I mean like at the end of the day, like the experience was really cool. So the dispensary, you could go get your product or whatever, and then you come over. You'd walk over. It was like you know, maybe a field away, not like a huge field though in walking distance not that bad. And you could park in this other little field

parking line in between if you wanted to, you could walk over. I think it was like ten bucks and then you get like a free edible and a pre roll too, so you pretty much just get your worth right going over So go over there, you can enjoy your edible, get some stuff

for the dispo. And the people were smoking their joints and stuff, and like if it would have been warm and no wind, man, people would have been out there just hanging out and blazing and like it was like you know, because they were native was native cultivation, was selling clones like it was a cool vibemin Yeah, I enjoyed it. Man. There was a guy selling glass necklaces and stuff for a good price, pine cones and like food trucks and stuff. It was just cool. Man. Like we talked

about consumption lounges all the time, like how cool it is. Consumption lounge is attached. Like when we saw who was superior, flowers want to visit it. They hadn't connected pretty much. That's tight, man, Like being able to smoke right there, especially if like you want to make a day of it. You know, some people just want to go on their way home, and that's fine, But I just think it'd be fun on the weekends to go to the dispo, maybe smoke a little bit there, hang

out, Like I think it'd be dope. Especially for a property like that. It's like, it'd just be nice to be able to do that more. I hate so better. Yeah, that's all good. Yeah, I think I am waiting for more consumption lounges and like hoping up around here the west side of the state's got alien and that sounds pretty cool. And that's

what it sounded like. It felt like, was an outdoor consumption lounge just for like a temporary obviously it was obviously temporary license for four twenty, but like if they could do that like once a month, that would be like

a fun party. It's just a fun thing to do, you know, And I think it kind of promotes people come in to smoke, check out the dispo and maybe that week made Yeah, and that's the thing, like you know, you're maybe you go to this dispo already, like Dispo A, and you're like, oh, this dish was throwing an event, maybe

I'll check it out. This. It's the same thing why I love people who throw deals, because that's what gets me to go to other dispos Otherwise I'm gonna go what's most convenient to me, or go you know, give donations to the homies, Like I'm not you know what I mean, Like it was gonna get you to go out of your way thirty minutes for a dispo. Nothing really like there's no there's not like a difference anymore. And

that's why the Grassy Knoll shout out. Miskigon shot out. The Grassy n Noole doing this event was like really cool because there was dispos all around it, but no one else was doing an event like that, right, Like you're investing in your brand, You're investing in saying like look what we're trying to do, you know, like we're about like you know, the culture, not just how much money we could make. So I really enjoyed that. And like again you go into the Grassy Knoll, it was like a

homie vibe. It was chilled. They even had a drive through. I think too, Oh yeah, that was pretty mean. I I probably should confirm that before I said that, but it looked like in the pictures and stuff, it was just cold. So I don't know. And it was four twenty, so I don't know if they were doing it. I just didn't notice it. I just I was distracted. But super cool event. Man, it's good man. I'd agree for man, except for I was bone chilled after dune. Oh yeah, what's that cold? Yeah, m

mmm, I've been freezing out there. I've been in the car and playing the sacks for like really cold real quick. I was just moving a lot. It was a really hyper you know, like it was cold. But it was a great day. It's had the hot tub a little bit after nice. Yeah, I dig that, man, we both that's a pretty good four twenties. Man was great, man. There was tons of great events. I mean I just think you know that, Like I think if anything, all the other brands, like a lot of these brands, they

should have probably just announced it sooner what they were gonna do. I just think there wasn't a lot of like planning, Like I didn't know any of the things going on. And like three days before for twenty I know, it was crazy, like yeah, last week everything was popping off with giveaways, events, food trucks, Sean Kingston come in at something. Was that

Lancing Pure Options or something had sewn Kingston or something. I know, I was like, what, like, I mean, that's cool, but I just didn't hear anything about it unless it was a lot of like self problem because they knew that just lancing alone and bringing enough people like something like an artist like that is like almost nostalgic. Like I don't know Sean Kingston's knew his head, but I'd be like, oh that one too, that one too. He had so many, he had a couple like bangers back in

the day. I mean, it was just I think they did that on surface, it felt like because it was like every brand besides Grace. You know, I did not Grace. You know, I knew you knew for a problem months. Yeah, and then that one is like the only one all I mean, not the other one. All the other ones were like last minute. It was like, you know, I was like, what the fuck? I was just surprised. Oh did you see Duchy He's went down a lot of shots. Oh yeah, yeah, I was lost.

Yeah, you know if we actually should talk about though. But Duchy was as a software that a lot of dispensaries use, and it's for their like basically online ordering and like I don't know, they might do an indoors, you might do indoor too. It probably does the apps that you use for the behind their po pos. I'm assuming it actually because it's just one. Yeah, so all their pos systems at dispos you know, essentially these POI

systems crashed crazy. I don't know how many affected in groups, people are freaking off. Some people said it was fine, but then others I saw freaking out, like like I say, had their butttenders were headed to do a ship by Matt hand. It took like the lines were backing up well. And of course it's on four twenty, so it's abno business. It would crash on like a Sunday morning. You're like, nah, you know, right, yeah, Friday, we'll make it. We'll make it.

We'll be we'll be about four twenty weeds National Holiday Weekday. Literally the worst time, man. That is horrible, Like I mean, and I just feel bad because it's not like something like the dispellers are doing. But then all the customers are gonna get pissed at the dispenser, you know. I mean, they're stuck by dispenser. That's why I feel bad, because they're that metal ground between that and they don't know what to do. It's not

working. I know. They're just people just want to get and get out, especially if twenty trying to get high and go to events and do things and to be honest, I don't like them with the Disporefore twenty. I like going before because there's so much it's just so such long lines. Evergo unless you're one of those people who camps out. Man, did you see some of those bags? Dude? their bags and they're like, I would just grab my bag induce. I would say, you still should have to spend like fifty bucks or something to get that bag something you have to buy something give way, Yeah, they got to charge you that penny. At least it's gonna charge you a penny, like I don't know, I guess I get a dollar. I guess you're right. That probably makes sense, probably more fair not to charge the people. I just figured. I think it's just the discos giving back through

the whole year to their tattoo. I mean, if you go there all the time and you like any of that, I think I think you would be there and you would want to go and show up, you know, especially if you've tried all that product, you're gonna go and be there one of the first people online. So like, I don't know, paid for it. I don't know. I think it's kind of cool if it's free. I mean because the customer is always paying throughout the entire year. You
