We live in a time when conflict is common. Violence seems to be winning. Injustice is increasing. The divides between me and you, us and them are growing. You're probably experiencing this in your relationships. You're observing it in your communities . You're listening to it in the national discourse. The widening divides seem overwhelming. Your anxiety and anger inspire you to take action, but you're unsure of what to do or if it'll even be helpful.
That's why we're launching the Mending Divides Podcast to host unfiltered conversations about the conflicts we're all dealing with. I'm Jer Swigart, and for years I've been learning from people who dwell on the front lines of conflict. From there, they don't just talk about peace as an abstract concept. They live it. Together we'll sit with guests like Michael Gibbs, Nina Barnes, Ben McBride, and so many others who are navigating complex and everyday conflicts.
We'll hear their stories, their struggles, and the practices that sustain them. And as we encounter the many ways they deal with their own conflicts, we're gonna discover who we need to become to face our own. If you listened to the Everyday Peacemaking podcast co-hosted with my dear friend, Osheta Moore, you'll recognize the same heart here now in a guest driven format that brings us even closer to the ground. Friends, this is not a prescriptive conversation.
Instead, Mending Divides is a portal into the lived experiences of Peacemakers from all walks of life. You can expect honest, unfiltered conversations that challenge your assumptions, illuminate new perspectives, and offer practical tools. These are stories of resilience, creativity, and bravery that will inspire us to live Likewise. Subscribe now to Mending Divides wherever you get your podcasts.
