John Lennon once said, "If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it 'Chuck Berry'.” As that quote indicates, Chuck Berry was one of the most influential artists in the history of rock and roll. In this episode of Memory in Top 40 Music, we go back to May 6, 1957, when Chuck Berry made his Top 10 debut on the pop charts. Plus, in our Memory Jogger feature, we pay tribute to the two chart-topping country music singers who died on September 8, 2017: Don Williams and Troy Gentry.
