Episode description

Meg Talks with black queer digital content creator Ri. Ri's creativity has earned them a reputation as an established well recognised UK digital content creator. There is a general misconception that digital content creation is easy, but it truly is an art form that takes a lot time, effort and consistency. We got into a much needed conversation around the highs and lows of content creating. Black content creators often find themselves having to fight to secure the ownership rights for their content as plagiarism/theft of ideas, content and intellectual property is RIFE...even with the “ALLY" community. We speak about our privilege in having 100% creative control over our content and platforms. Not being controlled in our expression of truth and creativity is a luxury that not all creatives get to immerse themselves in. Being visible whilst navigating anxiety isn’t always the easiest, Ri shares about daily struggles and how they stay grounded and focused. Lock in on Sunday with the rest of us and come hold a vibe.
