Episode description

Emotional Intelligence is one of the key predictors of a successful life. In this episode, Rachel D Weissman, a meditation and yoga teacher and an interaction designer for Google, explains the importance of cultivating emotional intelligence (EQ) in our daily lives, work, and relationships.

Rachel explains the four key pillars of emotional intelligence and the different types of meditations such as present moment awareness, calm focus, energized body and mind, and transcendence and self-discovery that is useful to improve your EQ. She also tells her experience of her EQ training in Google’s Search Inside Yourself; a mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and leadership training.

Rachel’s aim is to ‘create experiences so you connect with yourself, your career & the world’. That’s also why she created a community to elevate designers to become empowered, educated, and effective using EQ-based tools and practices at www.designtobe.com @design_tobe
