Episode description

In this episode, we have another chance to dive in to the physiology of chest compressions, cardiac arrest, and resuscitation science with our friend and return guest, George Ordway, PhD, PA-C. Join us as George discusses whether or not compressions should be performed prior to defibrillation, and why the Law of LaPlace should challenge us to think about how we run cardiac arrests in the pre-hospital setting. Other topics of discussion include community based compression only CPR education, the phases of cardiac arrest, and a shift in our mindset during resuscitation of cardiac arrest patients.
