Episode description

Good morning listeners! Welcome to the first episode of the MedEthix Podcast. It's Yash and Neil, and we are excited to start discussing ethical dilemmas with you. This episode covers "The Case of Joe," which covers a 62-year-old male with postoperative complications that drastically reduce his quality of life. In particular, we will be debating his autonomy and wishes to pass away peacefully, in contrast to his family's and physician's wishes to keep him alive. Please follow along, and message us about any questions, dilemmas, or viewpoints you would like to share with us. Thanks for tuning in, and don't forget to stay ethical!

The case discussed in this episode is taken from the "Center for Practical Bioethics." Please check out their website for the complete case study (this page is linked below), and any other ethical dilemmas you would like to explore.
