[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, oh, do you think he's cute? [SPEAKER_03]: You want me to go up to him for you? [SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, yeah, do it. [SPEAKER_02]: Please, for the love of God, put some music on entertain yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, my ego is destroyed and I need to get into this place. [SPEAKER_00]: And if I want to fuck bitches, I go to Joker. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry guys, I'm like being a little crazy on this podcast. [SPEAKER_02]: That's okay, let it out.
[SPEAKER_02]: What about the boys? [SPEAKER_02]: What about the men? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just a bit offended that no one's noticed that something's missing from the apartment. [SPEAKER_00]: While I noticed something was gained, which is the thin cat, which I'm very excited about, and the giant table. [SPEAKER_00]: But what's missing? [SPEAKER_00]: The sauna. [SPEAKER_00]: The sauna's gone. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh. [SPEAKER_00]: I was gonna say it looks nice and clean over there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Have you eaten at your counter yet? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: We love the counter. [SPEAKER_03]: Good. [SPEAKER_02]: But the sauna is gone. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm really happy for you because the thing has needed to go for quite some time. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: It was just taking up space and now it's, I feel like I've spaced a room about about the cabin. [SPEAKER_02]: When we had to wear it, it's the thing we wanted it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Allie took it. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh. [SPEAKER_02]: Allie took it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's Ben Rihome. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Allie took our friend out. [SPEAKER_02]: Our friend Allie has it. [SPEAKER_00]: Where did she put it? [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but she, she was like, hell yeah, I'll take her free Zana. [SPEAKER_02]: She's a lot more space than us.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm just happy that it's staying in the family because I, like, would still maybe like to use it from time to time. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fair. [SPEAKER_00]: So now you can go over whenever you want a little sonic experience. [SPEAKER_02]: Or Alice, like I'm going out of town, I'll be like, I'm head and over. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to use it when I am homeless and move in Dali's apartment for a separate week. [SPEAKER_02]: Shared custody.
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the first thing I said to you today, as Jack was like, did you notice the bank hat? [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, yeah, I'm obsessed. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to sleep on it for one, when I'm almost for two weeks. [SPEAKER_02]: You can sleep on the camera. [SPEAKER_02]: You have my air mattress, and you can put it in there. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, perfect. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you can move in there. [SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, the couch is way more comfortable than the bank hat.
[SPEAKER_02]: My air mattress is pretty comfy. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually have an air mattress through at home.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting like just closer and closer to the date and every day I get more stress out, but it's also, there's a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm really excited to me, and I'm like in background. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like literally all that. [SPEAKER_03]: I'll check this video as like here's the price here. [SPEAKER_03]: So we need to do whatever and then Adam's like hi [SPEAKER_00]: But also to be like, I'll be literally on a call speaking and I see a hundred texts coming in from Colby and I'm like, fuck, I need to give her like some kind of indication that I'm alive and paying attention.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'll text her and I'll be like, what were you in twenty minutes like when I'm on this call? [SPEAKER_00]: And then I'll like get off a call, I'll review. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be like, okay, looks good and then I'll go into another call and then seven hours later. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be like, okay, hi here. [SPEAKER_00]: I am like actually reviewing this and Colby will be like, I didn't see it. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not buying it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not.
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to hurry one to go look and it's not it. [SPEAKER_03]: So. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've been like completely useless in the process. [SPEAKER_02]: It's literally a full-time job. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and Colby is taking it on, so I need to get her a gift when we find it. [SPEAKER_02]: No, that's okay. [SPEAKER_02]: She just gets the room with the better window. [SPEAKER_00]: Colby, have whatever she wants. [SPEAKER_00]: There is one.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're just sharing about it this morning. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, at this point, we're getting bunk beds. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I know, actually would be a dream. [SPEAKER_03]: We were getting a room with two queen beds. [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, we should. [SPEAKER_02]: Who? [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, if you were to get a bunk bed, who would be on the top bunk and who would be on the bottom?
[SPEAKER_03]: I actually can't do bunk beds because every time that I've slept in a bunk bed within the last five years, I've gotten extremely claustrophobic in the middle of the night and needed to go have a panic attack on the couch. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so you're definitely- [SPEAKER_02]: on the top for sure. [SPEAKER_02]: Given that. [SPEAKER_03]: No, I've tried both and like both like make me feel like the walls are closing in around me. [SPEAKER_03]: Interest.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the top bunk would be worse for you because the ceiling. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I didn't even think about that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I was thinking bottom bunk feels like you're we can have two twin beds. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we could. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm totally fine with that. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's just separate the bunk beds. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, chop it in half. [SPEAKER_02]: It'll be like a dorm.
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I've been at the point of trying to convince Colby that we should just stay in my apartment. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not moving. [SPEAKER_03]: My thing is I knew it. [SPEAKER_03]: I knew you were going to try that. [SPEAKER_03]: I just refused to move into an apartment that three boys have lived in for seven years. [SPEAKER_00]: We can make it nice. [SPEAKER_00]: Bad juju. [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: No good things about that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I just want like a shiny and new space to like furnish and put our stuff in and make our own. [SPEAKER_00]: We can paint the walls. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to break down the flex wall. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, okay, also for context, the reason I'm positioning on this is obviously three of us live in this part of my right now. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a two-bed entry bathroom and we converted the living room into a bedroom as everybody knows.
[SPEAKER_00]: So my proposition to Colby is like the rent that mine is getting increased to is technically kind of lower than what we're looking at for two-bed two bath with door man laundering building. [SPEAKER_02]: You're just getting increased. [SPEAKER_00]: My rent's increasing, but like one percent. [SPEAKER_02]: You said it was rent controlled. [SPEAKER_02]: What's going on? [SPEAKER_02]: But it goes up like a very little bit. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's a rent control is a lie.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's just like the way it works, essentially, is they can only raise the rent as to what the person percentage of inflation is that year. [SPEAKER_00]: And so like one, I think it was last year inflation was like eight percent and so our rent got raised the most seven raised, which was eight percent, but the year before they raised it like ten dollars because inflation was like [SPEAKER_00]: point one percent or something like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: And this year I think inflation is like similarly cool off a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think they raised it like two percent maybe. [SPEAKER_00]: So my rent is getting raised. [SPEAKER_00]: But the apartments and clothing I are looking at like this one that we really want to move into and flat iron is like a two bad two bath that is a skylight. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like a fifth four walk up I think which like is horrible.
[SPEAKER_03]: But you'll say that you guys want that I sent you yesterday. [SPEAKER_03]: This one apartment was posted at the end of May and it was like [SPEAKER_03]: a decent price, I mean, it's still expensive, but so is everything. [SPEAKER_03]: And the agent temporarily took it off the market, and I got a notification yesterday saying whatever unit has an update.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I assumed that it was going to say that it was rented, but I hadn't even seen that it was still listed, and I checked sure these eighties six times a day. [SPEAKER_03]: So then I click on the listing and they had raised, they put it back on and raised to eight percent. [SPEAKER_03]: So it went up five hundred and fifty five dollars. [SPEAKER_02]: What did they do? [SPEAKER_03]: How originally listed it in May? [SPEAKER_02]: What at the end of May?
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so they took it off the market. [SPEAKER_02]: Did they like add anything? [SPEAKER_03]: No, four. [SPEAKER_03]: It's at available now. [SPEAKER_03]: And then now it says that it's available for August fifteenth. [SPEAKER_03]: And then yesterday, [SPEAKER_03]: They put it back on and then took it off again. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, is this scant? [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what's going on.
[SPEAKER_03]: But then there is another issue going on now that they passed the fair act so that the owners of buildings need to pay the broker fee is not. [SPEAKER_03]: the renters, which in theory sounds great, except I think that a lot of them, the apartments that are listed that had broker fees. [SPEAKER_03]: Now the price of the rent is being increased to ingest that fees. [SPEAKER_03]: Somehow it's still like put it back on us.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think there's another issue where units aren't even being put on the market because they want you to have to hire a broker or brokers or like holding them so that you have to hire them and pay them. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because you do have to pay the broker fee if you hire a broker.
[SPEAKER_03]: I am like kind of literally at the point where like I just want to pay for a broker for us like I am so well I reached out to that guy for the one and so oh that I want to be single and I was like hi checking in again and then yesterday they looped somebody in and they were like please send her nearby units because I kind of am too that I'm like this guy told me that it would only be one month's rent [SPEAKER_03]: Which is pretty standard for brokerfeasets.
[SPEAKER_03]: What I've had to pay previously now like over the past couple of years brokerfeasets have gone up to like fifteen percent. [SPEAKER_03]: I know people have paid like fifteen k for a broker fee. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, which is what you're saying. [SPEAKER_00]: It's always stupid. [SPEAKER_03]: Because they don't really do that with your defense. [SPEAKER_00]: Wait, can you can you negotiate brokerfeaset now though?
[SPEAKER_00]: Like no. [SPEAKER_00]: Like why wouldn't you be able to I guess? [SPEAKER_00]: because they just control the market in the inventory, so we have no leverage. [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like I'll pay you a fee if you give me a month free. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I mean, that's true. [SPEAKER_00]: It even doubt kind of. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's totally fair. [SPEAKER_00]: But then I feel like they would restore it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like control by the landlord. [SPEAKER_02]: You can't negotiate because like someone will pay their full rate. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, which is apt. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it may be like, well, if you don't want to pay my full rate, don't work with me, type of thing. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Because they'll have plenty of people, especially now that the market's so terrible, like people are at their wits end and will pay.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm certainly at my wits end. [SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of like every single day when I go on, there are no new listings, strides hell. [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm just going to stay on that guy. [SPEAKER_03]: He was actually helpful too. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, good. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: We like him. [SPEAKER_03]: We were both standing like ten feet apart.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was the last ninety something degree day in the city and it was like a fourth floor walk up and we're both like panting like walking up these stairs that we get into the unit. [SPEAKER_03]: They didn't have the air conditioning units on for something whatever reason the sun is like beating in and we're both like ten feet apart.
[SPEAKER_03]: Talking and he's like dripping sweat and I was like there's definitely like a beat of sweat about to drip down my back and at one point I was like can we walk downstairs? [SPEAKER_03]: It's like I'm tying in the apartment and obviously it's gonna work out with our movement date But he was actually helpful and gave me a lot of information so [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the update that I told Kobe yesterday is that the boys and I are trying to extend our least one more month because Alex.
[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: Like Alex and his girlfriend bought the apartment, so they closed on the apartment, but they wanted to do some renovations before they move in. [SPEAKER_00]: So it'll likely kind of carry us through August. [SPEAKER_00]: And then my other roommate, I feel so bad for him because he's like kind of being forced to live alone now. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: Can you guys were ditching him?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Like Alex moving over this girlfriend me moving over the goal bay with my girlfriend and so he's like looking at the market every day similarly and like apparently the legendary market is horrible. [SPEAKER_02]: It's really I thought like too bad was way worse. [SPEAKER_00]: I think both are equally equally bad, but he's like I'm literally gonna have to pay like forty five hundred dollars a month for
[SPEAKER_03]: and before Adam and I decided to move in together I had inquired about a friend who was moving out of a studio and she was paying three thousand dollars for studio in the west village which is crazy but good price honestly not bad the owner of the apartment wants four thousand dollars for the studio now no and it's like three hundred square feet that should be legal that's insane a studio part studios are like over thirty five hundred now
[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, what is this ominous painting? [SPEAKER_03]: I think it just got cloudy. [SPEAKER_02]: It just got really dark. [SPEAKER_02]: What's going on? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it are we gonna hit by a hurricane? [SPEAKER_00]: I'd be so sad. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't be deal with that today. [SPEAKER_02]: Can you turn the lamp on? [SPEAKER_02]: I need people to see you guys. [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's like pitch black and here for some reason. [SPEAKER_02]: Did you see what artwork I chose?
[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of like what I liked it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's very gay. [SPEAKER_02]: No, I was going to say it's giving pride. [SPEAKER_00]: Katie Pride's for me. [SPEAKER_02]: I pride for you. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a row of like thirteen houses on the C-shore with rainbow rides. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all the groups are different rainbow colors and I was like, this is so Adam. [SPEAKER_00]: that I let I think that's my island.
[SPEAKER_00]: No Katie's like best Instagram she's ever posted is one of it was a picture of me in June and it was like when we were first starting to become super close like junior year college when we were we weren't really like besties yet but I was trying really hard and she and girl did she try she really boosted Instagram and her caption was I pride for you at Adam here with the rainbow flag with the rainbow flag I'm such an ally that's her [SPEAKER_03]: coined phrase.
[SPEAKER_00]: That was the day I literally stole all of Katie's friends. [SPEAKER_00]: I made out with all of them at the pride parade and then the rest of the time. [SPEAKER_03]: And you should never have entered the pride parade since. [SPEAKER_00]: Alex has dragged me a whole time. [SPEAKER_03]: So we should go this year. [SPEAKER_03]: When is it? [SPEAKER_03]: I won't be here. [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's like the last weekend in June, isn't it?
[SPEAKER_00]: Or like the next weekend or something. [SPEAKER_00]: But like I won't be right there. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's the last weekend in June. [SPEAKER_03]: June's flying. [SPEAKER_03]: I know, how has your pride month been? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, how has it been? [SPEAKER_03]: Because I didn't even tell a guy about a gay bar. [SPEAKER_02]: Do the intro. [SPEAKER_02]: Tell us about the gay bar and about how your gay experience has been on the month of June.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to talk about my gay experience. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to talk about my gay experience. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to talk about my gay experience. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to talk about my gay experience.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to talk about my gay experience. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to talk about my gay experience. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to talk about my gay experience. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to [SPEAKER_00]: That was too good.
[SPEAKER_00]: Did we talk about the, the gay bar that I dragged everybody to a couple weeks ago? [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like maybe not. [SPEAKER_00]: We did. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we talked about when you guys went the first time. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes, we're Emily stole my phone and I was crying, calling Alex to call me Uber because I thought it was poor and I don't know money anymore. [SPEAKER_00]: Good times, good times. [SPEAKER_00]: So I decided we were gonna relive that night.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so we go to this bar and plays only. [SPEAKER_02]: Employees only. [SPEAKER_00]: You've been to employees only, presumably. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: That's what the gay bar. [SPEAKER_00]: Not the little gay bar will calm down. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, because I was like wait a minute. [SPEAKER_02]: Is employees only a gay bar? [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know. [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of gay though.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean the waitresses were like kind of gay looking. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean I love it there. [SPEAKER_00]: I for the record is not offensive for me to say that because I'm a homosexual. [SPEAKER_00]: So we go to employees only and it's me another gay and then it's Colby and two girls. [SPEAKER_00]: So our other two friends. [SPEAKER_00]: And first of all, employees only I need to slander this place because they are the worst.
[SPEAKER_00]: like bar ever basically like why they're just so rude oh well I will say objectively like I wasn't the one to make the reservation but allegedly there's something on the reservation that says if you go to employees only which by the way is a cocktail bar it's not a good never think to go there and have dinner you have to eat you have to eat and so basically she said
[SPEAKER_00]: because we ordered around her drinks then she comes back and you could tell that she was annoyed because I think she knew what was about to happen aka we weren't going to order food or we were just going to get like light bites and she was like okay what are you going to do for food and I was like oh I think we'll just get like some some advertisers are like let's do like fries whatever like some lights up and she goes she's like flop some men you down she's like excuse me like on the right so the notification it tells you that you need to get dinner I
[SPEAKER_03]: We were like, on trails. [SPEAKER_00]: I can let you guys say you're for thirty minutes, but then we need to get the table up. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, okay, like, you know, what's considered like a full dinner? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think we're happy to order some more food, but like, is that when she cuts me off? [SPEAKER_00]: And then she's like, yep, you need to order more food. [SPEAKER_00]: Thirty minutes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thirty minutes, I'll give you thirty minutes, but you need to order more food. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, okay, like, I would like to have the table for longer than that. [SPEAKER_00]: So explain to me what your expectations are on food. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, is it one entry per person? [SPEAKER_02]: She's saying, you gotta go three course meal. [SPEAKER_00]: No, literally she's like, one entry per person, one entry per person.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, okay, we're like, no. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, okay, we'll take that thing in minutes. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to do that. [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll take the thirty minutes. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're happy to continue to order drinks, which drinks are literally more expensive than food. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, sorry, if you have this year for two and a half hours. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, she's concerned about like the tip aspect of it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You guys were going to give her a great tip with the amount of drinks you're getting. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, after the weekend, we'll lay the eye out from her. [SPEAKER_00]: before that dude. [SPEAKER_00]: And she's like snatching the menus out of everybody's hands and like running away. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, you were literally so rude. [SPEAKER_00]: Like what the heck? [SPEAKER_00]: Like I just wanted to better understand what your expectations were on food.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like in order some salads and stuff like that girl, like what do you want? [SPEAKER_00]: You know? [SPEAKER_03]: I was having a bad day. [SPEAKER_03]: Can I order? [SPEAKER_03]: Because I ate dinner before. [SPEAKER_00]: And I will say. [SPEAKER_00]: So we were aggressively ordering drinks. [SPEAKER_00]: Like we definitely drank a lot there. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean Colby and I both got to heal on the rocks. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not even getting three drinks.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this girl literally gave Colby and I a cup of tequila that was the size of like that cup of coffee that Colby's drinking right now. [SPEAKER_00]: Like it was the biggest cup of tequila I've ever seen to the point where I had to take picture of it. [SPEAKER_00]: So I had to memorialize it. [SPEAKER_00]: And, Narlie. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so I think that this girl was a little bit... Okay, I'm making money from this table, so she ended up letting us stay for a long time.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they never came back and kicked us out. [SPEAKER_03]: We had to ask for a bill at the end. [SPEAKER_00]: She never came back, she never talked about it again. [SPEAKER_00]: She just gave me eyes when we're crossing room. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay, maybe she just had a moment there. [SPEAKER_00]: Something was wrong. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's forgive her. [SPEAKER_00]: It did get substantially better from that. [SPEAKER_00]: So I will say like we did have a good time.
[SPEAKER_00]: I would say like had some drinks had some, you know, and this bar specifically is where I went on a date with that guy stone street. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_00]: Years ago that coping with that on stone street and and like want to accept me on a date with.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I decide that it was a good idea because Colby and I had some drinks that I was gonna send him a salvee of Colby and I via Instagram DM mind you I have his number, but I sent it via Instagram DM like an expiring picture also. [SPEAKER_02]: Things that make sense. [SPEAKER_00]: It's literally a selfie of Colby and I barely. [SPEAKER_00]: Just or faces a black background and I'm like guess where? [SPEAKER_00]: And then... Poor guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, um... He doesn't reply. [SPEAKER_00]: I completely forget I send this. [SPEAKER_00]: The rest of it and I happen to them and just like round out this part of the story. [SPEAKER_00]: The next day he messages me on Instagram and I'm like, why is it so interesting messaging me on Instagram? [SPEAKER_00]: And I go and look that I attend him that screenshot and everything comes back to me and he literally goes, hey, Kobe looks great. [SPEAKER_00]: You got me, I have no idea.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, [SPEAKER_02]: With all the context clues you gave you couldn't figure it out aka the black background I literally was like I did yeah, I think I said what did I say? [SPEAKER_00]: I Probably said something flirty because you know I had to like make up somehow for what I had done honestly I'd say remember we couldn't remember his name to like save our lives.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know why but I do remember it now I was like I now but I refreshed my memory [SPEAKER_00]: No, he literally goes, hey, Colby looks great, and I'm stumped. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm stumped. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and then I didn't reply, and then when I was in Greece, I was posting stuff, and then he was replying to my story story. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, good. [SPEAKER_03]: You rekindled. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I said, I gave you literally no context clues, but it was employees only.
[SPEAKER_02]: He said, I was on the edge of his seat, and you're just like, you're bopping around a meek and I was like, [SPEAKER_02]: Hello. [SPEAKER_00]: No, literally. [SPEAKER_00]: He was like, oh, yes, all I can make out was the dime of the best of yours. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he. [SPEAKER_02]: Sweet. [SPEAKER_00]: And then he said, and thank you for circling back because that is genuinely genuinely curious. [SPEAKER_00]: They would be that and then all of your grease content.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I somehow convinced myself it was meekinos, but wasn't seeing the connection. [SPEAKER_02]: So we'd love him. [SPEAKER_02]: What happened with him? [SPEAKER_00]: Why are we not with him? [SPEAKER_00]: We went on one day to employees only. [SPEAKER_00]: He drove me home in a car that he out outside. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I think we just made out from my building and that was kind of like the end of it. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: And nothing turns fired.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, [SPEAKER_02]: He sounds great. [SPEAKER_00]: He's so hot. [SPEAKER_00]: He should bring him back. [SPEAKER_00]: So attractive. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but we have, we bring the beat backing out of him. [SPEAKER_00]: You can. [SPEAKER_00]: I got the feeling that like if things were going to, you know, materialize with us, they would have happened, you know? [SPEAKER_03]: True. [SPEAKER_00]: So. [SPEAKER_03]: But why don't you feel that way about others that you've ever backed to?
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I call me? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you love to go on days with people you've gone on days with before Okay, it's been years No, I just I state of the facts you didn't like him enough I think I just got to be something else lurking some some other detail we're missing here. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no DC.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't want to chase him Okay, period like period okay, he can chase me and my perfect cryptic selfies that I sent him [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but anyways, and then the rest of the night, we ended up going to a gay bar, pieces in the last village, so fun. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was like, Colby's first experience at a gay bar in the city, I feel like. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I begged you for years to bring me to one and you never have. [SPEAKER_00]: And I finally did.
[SPEAKER_00]: And you literally, I think had the time of your life. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it was so fun. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like we were having the best time. [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't anything crazy happen when we were there? [SPEAKER_00]: I can't even remember really. [SPEAKER_03]: I went up to that guy, Adam. [SPEAKER_03]: That saw this guy from across the bar. [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, oh, do you think he's cute? [SPEAKER_03]: You want me to go up to him for you?
[SPEAKER_03]: And he was like, yeah, do it. [SPEAKER_03]: I went up to him. [SPEAKER_03]: And he basically was like, oh, sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: I only am interested in like, fifty plus men. [SPEAKER_03]: He told me he was looking for a daddy. [SPEAKER_03]: And then he told our other friend when he was in like a group conversation. [SPEAKER_03]: He was like, I strictly fucked like, fifty-year-old men. [SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise it'd be all over that. [SPEAKER_00]: Justin goes, I mean he has an MX.
[SPEAKER_00]: Does that mean anything to you? [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: You know you're worth it like there. [SPEAKER_02]: I love that for you. [SPEAKER_02]: He has a type and he knows it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: He has a type. [SPEAKER_00]: I literally think everybody in that bar was the exact same. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you're bad because the one gay guy that we were with, who I'm friends with, he was trying to wing me so hard, but I'm so awkward around gay.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I just don't know how to function around gay people for some reason. [SPEAKER_00]: I am so homophobic. [SPEAKER_00]: Not actually, but like, I don't operate correctly around gay people. [SPEAKER_00]: And so he like... No, I didn't get to you problem. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it's preferring everybody. [SPEAKER_03]: But actually, I'm so interesting to observe because Adam's like, I think that guy's hot, and I'm like, okay, whatever, and then he's just like, stizzier.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, what are you gonna do about it? [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like literally nothing. [SPEAKER_03]: No, then when you were talking to that guy, I feel like Justin was talking to him and he was like, smiling and not. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I literally didn't know what to say. [SPEAKER_00]: Like Justin introduced me to him and I was like, hey, you went, you went, you? [SPEAKER_00]: He was like, hey. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was like, so, where do you live in the city?
[SPEAKER_03]: So what's going on? [SPEAKER_03]: Where are you here? [SPEAKER_00]: No, I think we started the conversation with like, so what's up? [SPEAKER_00]: And he was like, nothing, what's up with you? [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I want to come, I was all big. [SPEAKER_03]: Now that you ask. [SPEAKER_00]: Stop. [SPEAKER_00]: Then Justin was like I don't like all you need to do is tell a gay person you like their shirt and we find and I was like okay, I guess that's my move.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, that's that's a great piece of advice Yeah, honestly works with straight guys too. [SPEAKER_02]: They love to be complimented on their fashion. [SPEAKER_00]: They do. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it doesn't happen very often. [SPEAKER_03]: I just like to be complimented in general. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a hundred percent a hundred percent compliments are good they're important and then I think that was like our entire night that night. [SPEAKER_00]: It was so fun though.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, what did we do anything after? [SPEAKER_03]: Now, then we left, remember, and we were trying to get Nuber. [SPEAKER_03]: And for some reason, it was like a gorgeous summer night. [SPEAKER_03]: And typically, I feel like Uber's in the summer aren't surge pricing. [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like they're pretty easy to come by, whatever that night for whatever reason they were. [SPEAKER_03]: so many people out and everybody was seemingly walking around.
[SPEAKER_03]: There was a single taxi that came by that was open and my Uber to go home from this bar to my apartment alone was like eighty-two dollars. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's a ten minute drive. [SPEAKER_03]: That should be illegal. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Uber prices have really gotten out of control. [SPEAKER_00]: Any time I Uber to JFK, it's like a hundred and eighty dollars. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it's just really gross. [SPEAKER_02]: It's insane.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're making good money though. [SPEAKER_02]: Good for them. [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I should [SPEAKER_02]: Quit my job and become an Uber driver. [SPEAKER_00]: I think maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine if I just pulled up? [SPEAKER_02]: You were like, sorry, you guys. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry for the mess. [SPEAKER_00]: You playing Taylor Swift's greatest hit. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that would be a play.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if this is just me being like feeling guilty or bad for people when they're totally fine, but I just like, I got in this Uber the other day and the guy, it was a long drive. [SPEAKER_02]: from Brooklyn, like huge traffic situation. [SPEAKER_02]: Like it was a long drive. [SPEAKER_02]: And I like pop my podcast and I was like entertaining myself with my headphones. [SPEAKER_02]: The poor guy just raw dogged the drive. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't understand.
[SPEAKER_03]: They've like, don't play music in Uber anymore. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm totally nuts. [SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is, I like literally took my headphone out. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, you can play music if you want. [SPEAKER_02]: Like I was like feeling guilty that he wasn't entertaining himself. [SPEAKER_02]: And he was just driving in silence.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: and i'm like this is a brutal drive like it's not a fun drive where like bumper to bumper and traffic like it's boring it was like really early and he was probably tired so i was feeling bad for him like please for the love of god put some music on entertain yourself because i'm entertaining myself find back here yeah i don't know if that's just a me thing but i felt like insane guilt [SPEAKER_00]: I feel guilty when they try to like chat with you.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, I just don't really want to chat with you. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well that's different. [SPEAKER_02]: Like a chatty Uber driver, depending on if I'm on vacation and I'm like wanting to know more about the area that I'm in, I'm somewhere new. [SPEAKER_02]: I want to get some racks, like love a chatty Uber driver. [SPEAKER_02]: But if it's just like my normal day-to-day and I'm just like having a day and I just, yeah, I don't need to chat.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm getting in an Uber up for a year to go to the airport. [SPEAKER_03]: I like to have about a five minute conversation to ensure that I'm not about to be taken to my death. [SPEAKER_03]: And then I put my headphones in and combed you again. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Once you are marked safe. [SPEAKER_03]: Once I'm like okay, I've chatted with him. [SPEAKER_03]: He seems normal. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we're gonna be so funny. [SPEAKER_03]: Plugin now.
[SPEAKER_03]: I had this one Uber driver. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember where or when I had the Uber driver, but he his thing was he played a song like that reminded him of the passenger. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, once he got to know you, he was like, okay, and here's your song, and he like, cut up a song. [SPEAKER_02]: That's scary. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't like that. [SPEAKER_02]: And it was, well, okay, we had to have not been in New York because he cut up Frank Sinatra.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's up to you. [SPEAKER_02]: I was like honored. [SPEAKER_02]: That was my song. [SPEAKER_02]: I was like, honestly, this is a great game. [SPEAKER_02]: Five stars. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, okay, wait. [SPEAKER_02]: Adam, tell us about making us. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: That's so much a way to grace. [SPEAKER_02]: Adam was way last week, and we need to hear everything about, did you have a block of Feta at any point?
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I ate so much Feta, like I am a block of Feta. [SPEAKER_02]: I noticed you didn't bring us back any souvenirs, but [SPEAKER_00]: You're actually so right. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually will say I didn't do any shopping. [SPEAKER_00]: I bought one thing while I was there and it was a shirt that said need money for tequila. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so you bought me for yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I bought a gift for myself.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I actually meant it. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a mentor. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a mentor. [SPEAKER_02]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_02]: I guess it's allowed. [SPEAKER_02]: As long as you didn't get like souvenirs for everyone except for us. [SPEAKER_00]: I did, but actually I did get you guys gifts. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't bring them today. [SPEAKER_00]: What did we get us? [SPEAKER_00]: I can't tell you. [SPEAKER_02]: Should you get me a magnet?
[SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I kind of wanted one. [SPEAKER_00]: But you wanted a magnet. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I got you something that you probably wouldn't even like, but something in Greece. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So you did get us souvenirs.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you just said you didn't well because I was like Okay, so this was definitely not supposed to be for us, but now it's going to be for me No, we're gonna be for you, but I was gonna surprise you and then you just called me out for not getting it to you and I was like oh fuck I didn't bring it to it. [SPEAKER_02]: Well clearly you didn't listen to the last week's episode because Colby and I went on a whole little rant about how we didn't expect you to get us souvenirs.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, I usually bring home souvenirs. [SPEAKER_00]: I usually don't. [SPEAKER_03]: What? [SPEAKER_03]: What? [SPEAKER_03]: I've never got one. [SPEAKER_00]: Really? [SPEAKER_03]: I was supposed to get me macho and Japan and you didn't. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't, you're right. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so give us, but I should be all, how was Greece? [SPEAKER_00]: Um, incredible. [SPEAKER_02]: What was your favorite thing that you did? [SPEAKER_00]: Have you been?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: Did you go to Italy? [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I'm so Greek alias, man. [SPEAKER_02]: You with all your Greece experience has never been. [SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to San Trini, of course. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, we wouldn't be content. [SPEAKER_02]: You literally said that and I was like, well, I went there for two weeks and I loved it. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, that's cute.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's cute. [SPEAKER_02]: You guys went for two weeks. [SPEAKER_02]: That was our spring break. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't realize that. [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't two weeks. [SPEAKER_02]: We weren't in Greece for two weeks. [SPEAKER_02]: We were in Greece for like a little over one week. [SPEAKER_02]: But then we went to Amsterdam. [SPEAKER_02]: So you're actually right. [SPEAKER_00]: We were staying centering to the entire time or pop around to the island.
[SPEAKER_00]: Same. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing. [SPEAKER_02]: We only stayed in Santrini. [SPEAKER_02]: Granted. [SPEAKER_02]: We were broke college kids. [SPEAKER_02]: So we couldn't only afford to like jet set. [SPEAKER_02]: We were like, we've got one place. [SPEAKER_02]: We see it a hostel. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I will say so. [SPEAKER_00]: It was great. [SPEAKER_00]: I was obsessed with Greece.
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to go literally over you now and we need to go in a big group like I am obsessed. [SPEAKER_03]: I need to go to Greece. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm there. [SPEAKER_00]: The best trip I've ever been on in Europe. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not even kidding. [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's so stunning and that's like a big statement. [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I've been on a lot of European friends.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I'm like shook that's [SPEAKER_00]: Grease is by far my favorite country, at least for like the summertime. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just so stunning. [SPEAKER_00]: I will say though for context, I've never been to like the Amalphi coast in Italy. [SPEAKER_03]: I need to go there. [SPEAKER_00]: So perhaps I would also like feel the same way about that or like get a little bit better. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really sure because everybody says that the Amalphi coast is amazing.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was never in a South France. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'd also like that a lot too. [SPEAKER_00]: But as of right now, my favorite European trip that I've been on is degrees. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my God. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's literally just the most beautiful place ever. [SPEAKER_00]: I will say it's a bitch to get to.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think like my flight from so basically it happens you always have to fly from JFK to Athens and then you essentially balance around to the different islands from there. [SPEAKER_00]: Like there's no direct flights. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think at least from New York to any of the islands other than Athens, which is like the core city. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think the flight there was like eleven hours maybe, Athens, which is like a long as flight.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you get to Athens then you either take a ferry or you fly to the different islands so you want to go to. [SPEAKER_02]: What do you do? [SPEAKER_02]: Do you fly? [SPEAKER_00]: We flew. [SPEAKER_00]: We flew. [SPEAKER_00]: But I will say we were kind of concerned because one of our friends had gone the night before us, like took the same delta flight, but just twenty-four hours prior, and it got delayed three hours, and they missed their flight.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the only way to get to the where I Airbnb was on the island, because it was so late was a one-fairy, and there was only one left, and they were like cutting and closing even making that. [SPEAKER_00]: And so they ended up getting on the ferry, they made the ferry, but taking a ferry is just like so much more time. [SPEAKER_00]: Intensive usually like a three to four-hour ferry versus like a forty-hour or forty-minute flight. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Just way easier.
[SPEAKER_02]: But there are at least there was a backup plan just in case. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: And so our flight started getting delayed while we were in the airport and Alex and I were like, oh my god, this flight's gonna get delayed. [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna miss it. [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna have to take a ferry. [SPEAKER_00]: I just like accepted my fate at that point.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like Alex is just gonna drive for me. [SPEAKER_00]: You know like like when you're over with your boyfriend, do you just like turn your brain off? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, yeah, I love turning my brain off. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I turn my brain off as an agriculture. [SPEAKER_02]: Depends on what we're doing is sometimes I'm the one with the brain and he's the one turning his brain off there. [SPEAKER_02]: But it depends.
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's how I usually feel when I'm around Alex like Alex will like take on the, you know, the stress in the planning. [SPEAKER_00]: And so when it became down to the back that we were probably going to miss our flight from Athens to Paris, his dial and then we went to my brain was off. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, [SPEAKER_00]: I'm shutting down Alex, like, should we do this? [SPEAKER_00]: Should we do this?
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I'm gonna be totally honest Alex, like, I do not have the brain capacity for this. [SPEAKER_00]: You just need to make decisions for us to figure it out and then tell me what to do and how much money they need to spend and that's all I care about. [SPEAKER_00]: And he was like, okay, noted. [SPEAKER_00]: And to anyways, longs for sure, we ended up making our flight. [SPEAKER_00]: Did you just run through the airport?
[SPEAKER_00]: We kind of did honestly like the airport and Athens is so disorganized. [SPEAKER_00]: It's actually the most disorganized airport I've ever been in my entire life or you can just like walk through security and they I seriously think anybody could just walk through security without having a boarding pass [SPEAKER_00]: Really? [SPEAKER_00]: It's just chaos there. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, passport and border control, like barely anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like one cop who's just like checking shit. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's like barely any guard rails. [SPEAKER_00]: Like you could totally just like jump like a rail and like just go in and like go through security and nobody would even know if you didn't have a boarding pass. [SPEAKER_00]: It's so crazy.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so we ended up being fine just because of how chaotic and like disorganized the place was like we were just like budding in lines and like doing whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: So we ended up making it totally fine. [SPEAKER_00]: And we flew to Paris. [SPEAKER_00]: And so Paris was the primary island that we were going to be in for the week. [SPEAKER_00]: And so Paris is this like beautiful, beautiful, amazing island. [SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty big.
[SPEAKER_00]: And usually what you do when you go there is you rent a TV is like how people get around the island. [SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, I don't drive at all. [SPEAKER_00]: So like, that was, you know, I was passive reference on the ATV the entire time.
[SPEAKER_00]: But honestly, one of my favorite things that we did was the ATVs because also in Paris basically you take the ATV and you can go over to the ferry and then you can ferry each other nearby islands like with the ATVs and then go explore the other islands like with your ATVs and stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: And so we did that one day.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the way it worked out with this entire trip is basically how it even came to be is [SPEAKER_00]: My best friend Alex and then his girlfriend and their friend had a wedding in Athens. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I was like, okay, I'm coming, not to the wedding, but I was like, I'm gonna jump onto the green strip around there. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, not the wedding. [SPEAKER_02]: You were invited. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know what?
[SPEAKER_00]: I was tempted to latch on to that honestly like one of our friends who was with us was like oh, I don't have a plus alright like I have a plus one, but I didn't bring anybody and I was like oh perfect so like taller that I'll be joining as well and so obviously I didn't have to do that but it was on my radar and so when to parrows the one of my favorite things we did was the like AT being and we went to this near by island called anti-parrows which is like a smaller version of parrows basically
[SPEAKER_03]: Interesting name Antipareo. [SPEAKER_00]: Beautiful, stunning, amazing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, drove out these amazing hills and like while we're on this trip like it was obviously me, my friends with Wedding and then my other roommate jumped onto the trip also and then one of my co-workers also ended up wanting to become because he had bit like work in Europe the next week and so we ended up joining as well and then so randomly my other co-worker, I'm super good friends with and twenty of his friends also happened to be on paros the same time that we were.
[SPEAKER_02]: Really? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, isn't that crazy? [SPEAKER_00]: Of all the islands in the world. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_02]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: So insane. [SPEAKER_00]: And so they stayed kind of close to the town that we say it also, which was called Nelson. [SPEAKER_00]: I think is the town that we say that. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like kind of like a very cool like coastal. [SPEAKER_00]: Like you said it restaurants that are like right on the beach.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's stunning. [SPEAKER_00]: It's beautiful. [SPEAKER_00]: They have like a little nightlife. [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's a big very fun. [SPEAKER_00]: But not the same level of like party is like me can I was for example. [SPEAKER_03]: Did you go to Scorpios? [SPEAKER_00]: Guys, what do we want to make? [SPEAKER_00]: I got rejected from Scorpios. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you an astronaut. [SPEAKER_00]: Correct. [SPEAKER_02]: We, sorry, film me in what is that?
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so Scorpios is like, aside from my horoscope or whatever it's called, my, my, my, my, my psychology. [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's forward. [SPEAKER_00]: That's going to make it out. [SPEAKER_00]: So then me can know this is me, my roommate, and then one of my coworkers. [SPEAKER_00]: And we say that this hotel was like very far away from me.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can always tell them because essentially my friend has like held in friends with family and so I was like guys like I can get us to sick deal and it's like insanely nice hotel and so we stayed in the insanely nice hotel but it was like thirty minutes away from the whole the action and we can always basically which ended up being fine. [SPEAKER_02]: Is that far? [SPEAKER_02]: Thirty minutes away like by car. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not far.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I feel like you're walking distance or. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like you want to be kind of like walking distance to me. [SPEAKER_03]: How do you get around? [SPEAKER_00]: Um, the Uber situation is so bad. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, Uber's are all flat fee basically like, like, fifty euros. [SPEAKER_00]: So anytime you want to go anywhere, it's like six, the place could literally be like less than a mile and it'll be six euros.
[SPEAKER_02]: Damn. [SPEAKER_00]: And it could be like twenty miles away and it's like six euros. [SPEAKER_02]: I was literally just going to say that today. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's like same price. [SPEAKER_00]: Like all the prices are pretty standard. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the situation with transportation, but I think by the end of the week, I probably spent like eight hundred euros of Uber, so I'm not even kidding.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it was a disaster. [SPEAKER_00]: Because also when you're out, like the nice part about being in me can notice town is you can just like walk to dinner and then you can go out to the bars and little Venice is what the neighbor had his call and then you can like, Bob Descorpios for sunset and like Descorpios. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_02]: What is it? [SPEAKER_00]: Scorpio is essentially kind of like a beach spot. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a beach club restaurant. [SPEAKER_00]: They've a sunset DJ. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like stunning. [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody goes there. [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like the spot to go meet us and you got rejected and we didn't have a reservation because it's impossible to be reservations. [SPEAKER_02]: You got rejected. [SPEAKER_00]: I was kidding guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like a mortified I think he wanted to let me in though because he looked at my outfit and he was like Considering for a second and then he looked at the boys that I was with and he was like, sorry can't let you in tonight and his piss is hell like my ego remember when we got rejected from the box really there but like that was that was me this night [SPEAKER_03]: No, it's a real girl's in your orbit. [SPEAKER_03]: A real ego trip.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a real ego trip, but I will say they were rejecting everybody who did never reservation. [SPEAKER_00]: So because then when we were shunned, I couldn't stop talking about how the piss I was that we were shunned and I was DMing Scorpios and I was doing all kinds of crazy shit. [SPEAKER_00]: I was trying to find on Reddit like a WhatsApp to message somebody. [SPEAKER_00]: I was WhatsApping them. [SPEAKER_00]: I was calling their phone number.
[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody was answering. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I was like, I will get into this place. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And then eventually when I didn't get into the place and we went to like this dinner spot that was kind of close by this group of girls was walking up and we were like, oh, do you guys have a reservation? [SPEAKER_00]: Because I was like, I need to find a way into this place. [SPEAKER_02]: You're gonna latch on at this random group of people.
[SPEAKER_00]: Literally gonna get into the reservation. [SPEAKER_00]: And they were like, no, we don't have a reservation. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, girls, good luck. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, they're turning people away. [SPEAKER_00]: And this girl looks to me up and down. [SPEAKER_00]: She's like, we have tits. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be fine. [SPEAKER_02]: Did they get in?
[SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna grab the restaurant next door, and I saw this group of girls, fifteen minutes later, walking back down them in their tits. [SPEAKER_00]: Tits couldn't help you this time, girl. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow. [SPEAKER_00]: So that was validating for me. [SPEAKER_00]: But then anyways, once I got rejected from Scorpios now, my perspective on Scorpios, I can never come back again unless I am invited by Scorpios himself.
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I refuse to go. [SPEAKER_02]: Scorpios is a man. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be a woman. [SPEAKER_00]: Could be a woman. [SPEAKER_02]: Could be a baby. [SPEAKER_00]: I was a man. [SPEAKER_00]: So Scorpios also is like on this kind of rock peninsula, basically. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And so to even get into it, you have to go through this like long [SPEAKER_00]: like pathway that's guarded by the biggest balance you've ever seen in your entire life.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's jacked as hell and wearing like these massive black sunglasses. [SPEAKER_00]: Dude is fresh as hell. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna lie like so hot. [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to have sex with them so bad. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was ready to give it up also to get into that place at the time. [SPEAKER_00]: And then once we got like severely rejected when I like kind of begged a little bit and I was like, I'll pay you like what do you need like I need to go to this place?
[SPEAKER_00]: was not interested in any of my my advances. [SPEAKER_00]: And so then when we went out I was considering climbing over the rocks to get into the back of Scorpios. [SPEAKER_00]: So I was considering scaling the mountain. [SPEAKER_03]: Then you would never ever ever be allowed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was convinced I was going to be able to do it and my friends were like we're not scaling the mountain like it's okay and I was like my ego is destroyed and I need to get into this place then I came back down to earth and I was like I can never go back again. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so it amount to two. [SPEAKER_00]: You're going through the stages of grief. [SPEAKER_00]: I went through the stages of grief.
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like Ash and Earl, although Ash and Earl had a reservation and got rejected. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, I missed this lore. [SPEAKER_02]: So Ash and Earl sister of Alex Earl got rejected from this club. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and she had made a reservation like months in advance and They just were like now Essentially and she how did you made a tick-to-all? [SPEAKER_02]: I was like how did we find this out cuz that's okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was pretty much all she said Okay, but they had made their reservation months in advance and then said that they couldn't go [SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's not really unfortunate. [SPEAKER_02]: She did the due diligence of making the rest. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure that whoever said no to them is in trouble. [SPEAKER_00]: A hundred percent without a doll in my mind. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, which is so funny. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so now I hate Scorpios anyways.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad that I should all and I are on the same page. [SPEAKER_02]: So, okay, but say some other things that you did when in, when in Greece, like other things besides expensive boobers and getting rejected from clubs. [SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm only saying the bad. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you loved your TV. [SPEAKER_02]: You loved your TV. [SPEAKER_00]: Love my TV. [SPEAKER_02]: What about the food? [SPEAKER_02]: What about the boys? [SPEAKER_02]: What about the men?
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Did you socialize with any of the locals? [SPEAKER_00]: So in Paris, for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: And in me can notice as well. [SPEAKER_00]: I think the thing about me can notice, I will say, you need to go with a big squad. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, you were going to expense so much social battery if you go with just like a small amount of people because it was me and to my friends, wanted them being a straight boy and the other one being a gay man.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I, you just know when you're going with a group of three people like you need to like buddy up to groups and like figure out like who you're going to be going to the club's way. [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like every dinner that I see at these beach clubs are like big long tables or like at least twelve people. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so like a bat to the right would be really fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I will say people in me can notice like, I think everybody kind of goes with the vibe of like, I wanna meet people like whatever hang out have fun, the whole zeal. [SPEAKER_00]: And so when we went out in Meeknos, we went to this bar called Negrita, I think. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's a bar in Little Venice, it's right on the ocean, it's really cute and very fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we met this group of girls who was having like a, they're from England doing like just like a girl's trip. [SPEAKER_00]: And so we kind of like latched onto that group, we were trying to get one of them to kind of like get with my straight friend that was there, we were trying to kind of hook him up. [SPEAKER_02]: Were they on a hindu? [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know what that is? [SPEAKER_02]: It's what they call a bachelorette.
[SPEAKER_02]: They call it a hen, hen, do, hen party, hen, and then the boys. [SPEAKER_02]: Think they work. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they work. [SPEAKER_02]: A hen do is what they call it. [SPEAKER_02]: And then the guys, it's a stag, stag do or something. [SPEAKER_02]: I could be fucking a joke. [SPEAKER_02]: Jack's probably on the other room being like Katie, you're so wrong. [SPEAKER_02]: But I know it's hen something is what British ladies call their bachelorette.
[SPEAKER_02]: Huh. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean that that place, I think they were all in that and we ended up kind of like latching onto their table and hanging out with them. [SPEAKER_00]: We ate so far. [SPEAKER_00]: And then we bounced around with like a couple of them for a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: That was like the one night that we went out. [SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of an early night. [SPEAKER_00]: I think we were home by like one thirty.
[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, this is a late place. [SPEAKER_00]: Like people go out and like watch us sunrise basically from the clubs. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the second night was when we actually went like really crazy. [SPEAKER_00]: And we go to this bar called Scandinavia, which I recommend anybody who goes to me. [SPEAKER_00]: You can also go with so fun. [SPEAKER_00]: And they play like, they basically play like Taylor's over your mix, doesn't stuff like that, which what I like to hear.
[SPEAKER_00]: Love. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and like you dance on a table on the bar. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like so much fun. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's super crowded. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just like a fun place. [SPEAKER_00]: But like I said, like, if I go back to me, you know, I want to go with a huge group. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think it would just be so much more fun if you have like a big group of your friends, you know? [SPEAKER_02]: I deal.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I really think we should do a hundred plus. [SPEAKER_02]: Plus my arm. [SPEAKER_00]: And also like, once you get there, it's actually like, it's not that. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, me can have this expensive, but Paris, for example, like, not that expensive in terms of like food drinks, whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: On the food question that you asked, like, how is the food? [SPEAKER_00]: I literally hated every fancy restaurant we went to.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it got to the point we went to. [SPEAKER_00]: Why? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think I would like that either. [SPEAKER_03]: All that I want to eat is like, great salad. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, but like that's like kind of where they serve like stuff like that, but we would go to these fancy restaurants. [SPEAKER_00]: Not fancy, but like, I don't know, it's like a New York restaurant, basically, but in making us in Paris, basically.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we would go to these restaurants and I was like, oh, this food just like isn't good. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, really? [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, kind of a cool thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I only like like the Greeks out and like, [SPEAKER_00]: Like chicken. [SPEAKER_00]: Like skewers and stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: We did, so that's what I'm, so I love the skewers. [SPEAKER_00]: Alex and I basically decided we were like, we were eating like four euros a day.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like euros skewers, Greek salad, it's a whole deal. [SPEAKER_00]: And so it eventually came to a point where I was like, I refuse to eat at these dinners. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to because I only want to eat your roast from all the side of the road. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Like that was the best food that I ended up liking the most. [SPEAKER_02]: What are they called? [SPEAKER_02]: Beatles. [SPEAKER_02]: Beatles.
[SPEAKER_00]: Gee, what's a generous, right? [SPEAKER_02]: I've never known how to say that, so I just have to set it out loud. [SPEAKER_00]: If anybody is Greek, listen to the podcast, let me know my pronunciation. [SPEAKER_02]: They're probably... [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I feel like they probably have a lot to say about this episode. [SPEAKER_00]: They're like Adam doesn't her ship, right? [SPEAKER_00]: They're like, you went to the worst places.
[SPEAKER_00]: I probably dig her to the most touristy places, not just like, but it was so quiet. [SPEAKER_03]: They had time to tourists. [SPEAKER_00]: Literally, they had to tourists. [SPEAKER_00]: But it was so much fun guys, like we just need to go back to Greece. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you? [SPEAKER_00]: Or are the fun meganos places that went to? [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so when the three of us went out the second night in meganos, we went to that bar stand in eighty.
[SPEAKER_00]: I would show where we started the night. [SPEAKER_00]: It's so much fun. [SPEAKER_02]: See you again. [SPEAKER_00]: That was the second night, so that was the first time we went to Scandinavia the night before we went to Nicarita, which was in Little Venice. [SPEAKER_00]: Little Venice is basically like this line of bars that are on the ocean and it's like massive waves that are coming up and hitting the rocks and splashing up. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like very interesting.
[SPEAKER_02]: They call Little Venice. [SPEAKER_02]: Is that a nod to Venice Italy? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Does it look like it? [SPEAKER_02]: Is it like canale? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It makes sense. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Very cool. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's where everybody goes to party and kind of like start the night and then you go to other bars from there. [SPEAKER_00]: And so there's this other bar down there called Jackie O's and it's a gay bar.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so we ended up going to Jackie O's. [SPEAKER_00]: Jackie O's. [SPEAKER_03]: So funny. [SPEAKER_00]: And they were meant like praying on me, like but like gross like old, not the vibe. [SPEAKER_00]: And we went with this group of girls that we had met at the previous bar. [SPEAKER_00]: Like we kind of like just dragged them along with us. [SPEAKER_00]: And then me and my one friend who I was with, we ended up going to kind of like a late night beach club called Casaparideso.
[SPEAKER_00]: So we were like we're here. [SPEAKER_00]: We need to experience it like at least once and just like live it up in me. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying? [SPEAKER_00]: She's got it. [SPEAKER_02]: Got in there. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So we take a slap that I will say. [SPEAKER_00]: You were perfect.
[SPEAKER_00]: What's funny is we were again with this group of girls and the girls like didn't have tickets but they decided that they wanted to go with us and so They came with us and I was like you guys like need to buy tickets and I think that they were assuming that like my guy friend who was straight was gonna buy their tickets and I literally go to him and I'm like don't buy the tickets like the both of them. [SPEAKER_00]: Or are they both a boyfriends? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was helping you out. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god [SPEAKER_00]: because he was like, they're so hot, oh my god, they're so hot and I was like, you can't, but they're taking it. [SPEAKER_00]: They're literally freezing you. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was like, please, let me help you. [SPEAKER_02]: Wow. [SPEAKER_00]: So we go to this place and they're like, oh, we don't need tickets. [SPEAKER_00]: We have tickets. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll just like flash them or something like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: We get to the front of the line to get into Casperity. [SPEAKER_00]: So like, we show our tickets. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to the girls are like, [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, like can we just like get in like we don't have tickets or whatever and they're like no, you need a ticket. [SPEAKER_02]: How much was the ticket? [SPEAKER_00]: It was like nothing was like thirty euros. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, and she was like come on, but like we have boobs and they were like.
[SPEAKER_03]: What's with her? [SPEAKER_03]: It's the same people that we're talking about. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it's the night before everybody. [SPEAKER_00]: Meekin was like talk about how they have boobs. [SPEAKER_02]: I have never referenced the fact that I've boobs when trying to get into a bar. [SPEAKER_00]: Boobs are apparently they're not the key. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Or the girls think that they're the key, but they're not the key in me, can I?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't even know if that's currency. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe at one point it was, but now. [SPEAKER_00]: Current currency is the fucking owner of Scorpios. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't damn bounce her. [SPEAKER_00]: It's been front of the tour. [SPEAKER_02]: Damn. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so you got him because you had tickets. [SPEAKER_00]: We got him because you took it. [SPEAKER_00]: That was like speech close. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so it's like this big beach club David DJ.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like right on the ocean We say they're in like four or five a.m. [SPEAKER_00]: Like at the whole night Wow guys, it's just like so fun and like I said like me get as such a place where you like meet people I didn't have any fun like make out like guys that I was interested in unfortunately Yeah, I mean the gay bar there were definitely like a couple of cute guys I guess but Just didn't didn't end up happening for me [SPEAKER_02]: But still fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: But like guys, let it be the best you're about for fun trip. [SPEAKER_00]: Fun friend trip. [SPEAKER_02]: Fun friend trip. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll be there. [SPEAKER_02]: You're up, which you're headed back to soon. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: I let it leave in two days. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm so excited for you. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so excited for you. [SPEAKER_02]: Both of you are leaving me. [SPEAKER_02]: Kobe's going home for two weeks. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm losing my friends. [SPEAKER_00]: Also we should end this episode and then start episode two.
[SPEAKER_00]: oh yeah everyone listening don't you worry we have an episode for you next week we're recording it right now and then we're gonna take off for July four I can't wait as people do yes but but it's been that's this is the grease recap that you guys have been waiting for the grease recap I'm sorry I couldn't give you any crazy stories actually the one story I'll leave with is it's kind of on the topic of what you were talking about earlier chatty universe and so
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I was drunk like pretty much the majority of the time that I was in me. [SPEAKER_00]: You can notice like if the clock struck seven p.m. [SPEAKER_00]: like I was I was drunk the last time. [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, can I ask what were you drinking? [SPEAKER_00]: Um, to heal so this. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So you're normal. [SPEAKER_00]: Normal poison. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I had to beg them to like find me past me.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say, do they have good liquor there? [SPEAKER_03]: Cause I feel like I would be drinking. [SPEAKER_03]: Why? [SPEAKER_00]: But I would say that like the more touristy bars they all cast me goes because presumably like that's [SPEAKER_00]: The currency, the water of the people who are going there, which is like New Yorkers. [SPEAKER_03]: They have good wine and grease. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, amazing wine. [SPEAKER_00]: I really didn't drink like anyone.
[SPEAKER_02]: Shut up. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what we go. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, drink some wine. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll drink some wine. [SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, my story about me being drunk with the second o'clock, I was like the chatty's person in the Uber, like nobody else can get a word in. [SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to know everything about the Uber drivers that we were with. [SPEAKER_00]: And so we got in the Uber with this one guy and he was so hot.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the hottest Uber driver I've ever seen in my entire life and he had this extremely deep [SPEAKER_00]: Voice and then or stunning God literally got a long man like so he's hell and so I was like oh my god, I'm literally in love with this man like he needs to actually like have sex immediately. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry guys. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm like being a little crazy on this podcast. [SPEAKER_02]: That's okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Let it out and so I'm trying enough.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's like giving me like one word one word answers like he didn't really speak much English and I was like, okay, like where would you guys like where would you recommend that we go out? [SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, what you need to go to, uh, what do you say? [SPEAKER_00]: He was like, you need to go to Scandinavia, you need to go to Nagrita, and then he goes, in the fight went to fuck bitches, I go to Joker. [SPEAKER_03]: And you were like, I definitely want a fuck bitches.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was so out of left the old him saying, if you want to fuck bitches, I go to the Joker. [SPEAKER_00]: We all sat there in silence for a couple seconds because I was like, stunned. [SPEAKER_00]: That was like the woman was too stunned. [SPEAKER_03]: I was like fucking bitches is on my dinner. [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, you're so much. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, you were so right. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so if I want to fuck bitches, I need to go to Joker.
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you go to Joker? [SPEAKER_00]: He tried to take us there. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: He was like, I bring you to Joker. [SPEAKER_00]: I bring you to Joker. [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, speaking of, I could use that right now. [SPEAKER_02]: So let's go. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, actually, I don't, I don't think we need to go to Joker. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, while my one roommate was like, I think we need to go to Joker. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think we need to go to the Joker.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you didn't go. [SPEAKER_00]: We did not go to the Joker. [SPEAKER_00]: We did not go to the Joker at all. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I didn't need to fuck bitches that night. [SPEAKER_00]: So I sat out. [SPEAKER_00]: You'd had your fill. [SPEAKER_00]: I had my fill of fucking bitches. [SPEAKER_00]: So I decided that maybe I should take a ball. [SPEAKER_00]: I have a chill one. [SPEAKER_00]: Have a join. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's what I'll leave you with with that.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been fun on this episode. [SPEAKER_00]: Love you. [SPEAKER_00]: See ya. [SPEAKER_02]: Bye!
