As a new advisor, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Familiarization trips, or FAMs, can be a big source of questions for beginning advisors. How do you receive an invitation to a FAM? How do you decide which to accept and which to politely decline? How do you prepare in advance? And when you get home, what comes next?
