31. Protect your peace: The importance of creating boundaries, preserving your energy, and allowing yourself to ‘turn off’
Episode description
As a travel advisor, we can all understand the importance of making time for oneself. Unfortunately, travel is a 24/7 job. Clients’ run into problems along the way, needing ‘urgent’ assistance regardless of the hour. Your time becomes theirs, and you find yourself stumbling through the dark at 1 am trying to help them reclaim their lost luggage halfway across the world.
What are you willing to tolerate as a travel advisor? How can you reclaim your peace (and your weekends), while still serving your client? How do you know when it’s important to say, “No,” and actually stick by your decision with confidence?
Today I am joined by three fellow travel advisors: Theresa, Jennifer, and Bailie. Join us as we discuss the topic of setting boundaries, protecting your time and your energy, and bringing the best ‘YOU’ to the table.

August's Q&A Topic: Measuring Success How do you measure success in your business? Questions might be related to numbers or information that we’re tracking in our business each month; questions might be related to HOW we’re gathering information and data about our businesses and the steps advisors are taking when they sit down and look at the results. Questions might also be related to what we’re doing with the data once we start tracking certain metrics. Are you someone who tracks alllll the numbers or do you not track anything and just hope for the best?
