Episode description

Special guest: Melanie Russell, RMT – I have been practicing massage for 27 years and have instructed at BCMT for 16 years.  I was hired at BCMT to teach Ethics, but I also have been a teacher of a modality called Integrative Therapeutic Massage, and I teach Client Communication Skills too.  I was a psychology major in college, I am a mother of three adult children, and I have six grandchildren.  My joy in teaching definitely comes from being with students who are learning about this wonderful career and learning about themselves.  I have seen a lot of changes in the legislation and processing of ethics in the massage profession, and I have truly enjoyed watching the profession’s growth, especially in Colorado.
