Welcome to the mass Timber construction podcast . My name is Paul Kramer , your host , and welcome to the middle of the year . It is week 25 . It is June and it is the middle of the year . You will be getting either cooler or warmer , depending on which hemisphere you live in .
And we'd also like to say an amazing milestone for the mass Timber construction journal family We hit 24,000 followers on LinkedIn recently , so that's 2.8 million impressions per year , over 41,000 engagements . That means likes , you know , numerous shares , and it's all thanks to your contributions , your comments , your reposts , etc . And we really do .
Thank you for your engagement . Let's have a look at what's making news around the world this week . In mass Timber construction land , sage , the software organization they're going to relocate to the 619 Ponce Road , showing that the use of mass Timber for big corporates is a desirable feature .
The building just recently topped out with a topping out ceremony And it is impressive to see that they will be entering into the Ponce City Market in 2024 . Sage will take 57,000 to 87,000 square feet of the office space planned in Jamestowns in the newest development down there , that's using mass Timber construction .
So congratulations to the executives at Sage for choosing a renewable material for your office tower A great choice by anyone's means in the mass Timber construction sector . And heading to British Columbia now , and the BC Institute for Technology has a concert properties center for trades and technology And a four story building is proposed .
7,670 square meter building with mass Timber elements will be announced by the end of the summer period , which is the summer period in the Northern Hemisphere , so probably heading towards August . The center is an anchor of $162 million worth of trades and technology complex .
The first build phase will include four new trade centers impacting 20 trades in the Barnaby campus . The center is expected to begin construction in 2025 and will be completed in the last quarter of 2027 . There is an estimate that the smaller complex of buildings will start in the first quarter of 2024 and take about a year to complete . So a number of phases .

And heading to Australia now , the Royal Neal architecture has designed a sustainable commercial office building on the fringes of the city of Brisbane , which is in Queensland , near the CBD , in a place called Newstead . The four story building will be the headquarters of the Asia Pacific Internet Development Trust , accommodating about 80 staff .
The offices will be constructed using cross limited timber with layered facade of glazing and perforated metal screens that provide an expression of the depth from the outside world . The building is designed to be a vision and sound and light when required , inside the building .

And heading to North London now , and a nine-floor mass timber building has been designed by Bennett's associates and just recently been approved for the site at number two copper square .
The big timber office project site will sit next to the newly opened Clermont Park and alongside two major new public squares that will act as a gateway for the rest of the neighborhood . Typical floors are a spacious 18,350 square feet with views over Clermont Park and beyond playing fields to the Hampstead Heath area .
